We consider the set of regular functions . We construct a Borel measure and a class of outer measures h onH. With these and h we show that: (HS)=0 and h (HS)=0, (S is the set of normed univalent functions). From h (HS)=0 follows—forh=t —that the Hausdorff—Billingsley-dimension ofHS is zero.  相似文献

We consider a hyperbolic version of Eells-Sampson's equation: . This equation is semilinear with respect to space derivative and time derivative. Letu (x) be the solution with initial data u(0) and (0), and putv (t,x)=u (t,x). We show that when the resistance ,V (t,x) converges to a solution of the original parabolic Eells-Sampson's equation: . Note thatv t(0)= (0) diverges when . A poset P is -conditionally complete ( a cardinal) if every set X P all of whose subsets of cardinality < have an upper bound has a least upper bound. For we characterize the subposets of a -complete poset which can occur as the set of fixed points of some montonic function on P. This yields a generalization of Tarski's fixed point theorem. Let be a positive Radon measure on having a Laplace transform L and F=F() be a natural exponential family (NEF) generated by . A positive Radon measure with >0 and its associated NEF F =F( ) are called the th convolution powers of and F, respectively, if . Let f , (F) be the image of an NEF F under the affine transformation f , :xx+. If for a given NEF F, there exists a triple (,,) in such that f , (F)=F , we call F a reproducible NEF in the broad sense. In other words, an NEF F is reproducible in the broad sense if a convolution power of F equals an affine transformation of F. Clearly, for =1, F is reproducible in the broad sense if there exists an affinity under which F is invariant. In this paper we obtain a complete classification of the class of reproducible NEF's in the broad sense. We show that this class is composed of infinitely divisible NEF's and that it contains the class of NEF's having exponential and power variance functions as well as NEF's constituting discrete versions of the latter NEF's. We also provide a characterization of the reproducible NEF's in the broad sense in terms of their associated exponential dispersion models.  相似文献

Results are given comparing countably subadditive (csa) outer measures and finitely subadditive (fsa) outer measures, especially relating to regularity and measurability conditions such as (*) condition:A setE (of an arbitrary setX), is measurable ( an outer measure),ES (the collection of measurable sets) iff (X)=(E)+(E). Specific examples are given contrasting csa and fsa outer measures. In particular fsa and csa outer measures derived from finitely additive measures defined on an algebra of sets generated by a lattice of sets, are investigated in some detail.  相似文献

A distribution is said to have regularly varying tail with index – (0) if lim x(kx,)/(x,)=k for each k>0. Let X and Y be independent positive random variables with distributions and , respecitvely. The distribution of product XY is called Mellin–Stieltjes convolution (MS convolution) of and . It is known that D() (the class of distributions on (0,) that have regularly varying tails with index –) is closed under MS convolution. This paper deals with decomposition problem of distributions in D() related to MS convolution. A representation of a regularly varying function F of the following form is investigated: F(x)= k=0 n–1 b k f(a k x), where f is a measurable function and a and b k (k=1,...,n–1) are real constants. A criterion is given for these constants in order that f be regularly varying. This criterion is applicable to show that there exist two distributions and such that neither nor belongs to D() (>0) and their MS convolution belongs to D().  相似文献

The Kronecker product of two Schur functions s and s , denoted by s * s , is the Frobenius characteristic of the tensor product of the irreducible representations of the symmetric group corresponding to the partitions and . The coefficient of s in this product is denoted by , and corresponds to the multiplicity of the irreducible character in .We use Sergeev's Formula for a Schur function of a difference of two alphabets and the comultiplication expansion for s [XY] to find closed formulas for the Kronecker coefficients when is an arbitrary shape and and are hook shapes or two-row shapes.Remmel (J.B. Remmel, J. Algebra 120 (1989), 100–118; Discrete Math. 99 (1992), 265–287) and Remmel and Whitehead (J.B. Remmel and T. Whitehead, Bull. Belg. Math. Soc. Simon Stiven 1 (1994), 649–683) derived some closed formulas for the Kronecker product of Schur functions indexed by two-row shapes or hook shapes using a different approach. We believe that the approach of this paper is more natural. The formulas obtained are simpler and reflect the symmetry of the Kronecker product.  相似文献

We consider a conformally invariant regularization of an Abelian gauge theory in an Euclidean space of even dimension D 4 and regularized skeleton expansions for vertices and higher Green's functions. We set the respective regularized fields and with the scaling dimensions and into correspondence to the gauge field A and Euclidean current j . We postulate special rules for the limiting transition 0. These rules are different for the transversal and longitudinal components of the field and the current . We show that in the limit 0, there appear conformally invariant fields A and j each of which is transformed by a direct sum of two irreducible representations of the conformal group. Removing the regularization, we obtain a well-defined skeleton theory constructed from conformal two- and three-point correlation functions. We consider skeleton equations on the transversal component of the vertex operator and of the spinor propagator in conformal quantum electrodynamics. For simplicity, we restrict the consideration to an Abelian gauge field A , but generalization to a non-Abelian theory is straightforward.  相似文献

Let be a Guelfand measure (cf. [A, B]) on a locally compact groupG DenoteL 1 (G)=*L 1(G)* the commutative Banach algebra associated to . We show thatL 1 (G) is semi-simple and give a characterization of the closed ideals ofL 1 (G). Using the -spherical Fourier transform, we characterize all linear bounded operators inL 1 (G) which are invariants by -translations (i.e. such that 1(( x f) )=( x ((f)) for eachxG andfL 1 (G); where x f(y)=f(xy); x,y G). WhenG is compact, we study the algebraL 1 (G) and obtain results analogous to ones obtained for the commutative case: we show thatL 1 (G) is regular, all closed sets of its Guelfand spectrum are sets of synthesis and establish theorems of harmonic synthesis for functions inL p (G) (p=1,2 or +).
