The development of enantiomerically resolved, axially-chiral seven-membered N-heterocyclic carbene (7NHC) ligands for palladium is described. These 7NHC ligands are derived from enatiomerically pure 2,2′-diamino-6,6′-dimethylbiphenyl, which is transformed via a synthetic sequence consisting of ortho-arylation, N-alkylation, and cyclization to afford seven-membered-ring amidinium salts. Synthesis of the seven-membered amidinium salts benefits from microwave irradiation, and in-situ metalation of the amidinium salts yields 7NHC-PdII complexes. The chiral 7NHC-Pd complexes were examined as chiral catalysts under aerobic conditions in two intramolecular oxidative amination reactions of alkenes. In one case, enantioselectivities up to 63% ee were obtained, while the other substrate underwent cyclization to afford essentially racemic products. The catalytic data compare favorably to results obtained with a PdII catalyst bearing a chiral five-membered-ring NHC ligand and, thereby, highlight the potential significance of this new class of chiral NHC ligands.  相似文献

A new method for the synthesis of complexes PtIV(NHC)X4L (NHC is N-heterocyclic carbene of imidazole or benzimidazole series; X = Cl, Br; L is N-coordinated pyridine or NHC) based on mechanochemical oxidation of complexes PtII(NHC)X2L with dichloroiodobenzene (PhICl2) or pyridinium hydrobromide perbromide (PyHBr3) was proposed. Mechanochemical activation led to reduction in the synthesis time and increase in the selectivity of halogenation and yields of the target PtIV complexes (74–98%) as compared to the reaction in solutions.  相似文献

The preparation of a variety of chiral N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) precursors is described. The relative merits of imidazolinium salts and silver carbenes as NHC precursors are discussed with respect to their synthesis, stability and performance in the copper catalysed conjugate addition of dialkyl zinc reagents to a variety of Michael acceptors. Enantioselectivities of up to 93% were achieved using as little as 4% of chiral ligand.  相似文献

In this study, a series of benzimidazolium salts were synthesized as unsymmetrical N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) precursors. Benzimidazolium salts were used for synthesis of the PEPPSI (pyridine enhanced precatalyst preparation stabilization and initiation)-themed, six new Pd-complexes with the general formula [PdX2(NHC)(pyridine)]. The structures of all compounds were characterized by various spectroscopic techniques such as 1H NMR, 13C NMR and FT-IR. The more detailed structural characterization of four of the complexes was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction study. The catalytic activities of all Pd-complexes were evaluated in the direct arylation of the 2-acetylfuran and 2-acetylthiophene with aryl bromides in the presence of 1 mol% catalyst loading.  相似文献

The synthesis of a range of imidazolinium salts derived from acyclic 1,2-diamines, and an evaluation of the reactivity and asymmetric induction of the corresponding NHCs as catalysts for the asymmetric synthesis of β-lactams, is reported. An N-methyl-substituted NHC derived from (1R,2R)-1,2-diphenylethanediamine shows optimal reactivity and enantioselectivity in this series, in contrast to that observed with NHCs derived from (1R,2R)-cyclohexane-1,2-diamine.  相似文献

The synthesis and structural characterization of a series of platinum complexes, bearing N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHC) and divinyltetramethylsiloxane (dvtms) as supporting ligands, are described. The reaction of commercially available Karstedt’s catalyst (Pt2{(η2-ViSiMe2)2O}3) with in situ generated NHC leads to monomeric platinum(0) complexes in which one NHC is bound to the metal center, as indicated by spectroscopic analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The relative reactivity trend for these complexes as catalysts for the hydrosilylation of alkenes is discussed in terms of NHC ligand steric properties.  相似文献

An N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-catalysed retro-aldol/aldol cascade reaction of spirooxindole-based β-hydroxyaldehyde has been developed. The ring opening-closure process enables the diastereodivergent synthesis of spirocyclopentaneoxindole products with four consecutive stereocenters by simply changing the reaction solvents (THF or DCE). The Michael/aldol/retro-aldol/aldol sequential protocol allows the diastereodivergent synthesis of spirocyclopentaneoxindoles from 3-substituted oxindole and α,β-unsaturated aldehyde under the relay catalysis of a chiral secondary amine and an NHC catalyst. Moreover, four stereoisomers of the product can be selectively provided by using different combinations of a chiral secondary amine and a solvent.  相似文献

An efficient copper(II) N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complex with an NCN coordination mode was optimized to catalyze the Chan–Evans-Lam (CEL) cross-coupling reaction of imidazole and other N-heterocyclic nucleophiles with arylboronic acid. This air-stable copper catalyst shows robust catalytic performance and tolerates a diverse array of functional groups on both the N-nucleophile and arylboronic acid coupling partners in C−N bond forming reactions with up to 95 % yield. Formation of the Cu−NHC complex in situ generated similar catalytic performance for CEL coupling. Alternative metal ions (Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Zn2+, Ru2+, and Pd2+) were also screened in the presence of the NHC precursor as CEL catalysts.  相似文献

The selective alkylation of functionalized 2-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)pyridines 1 furnishes 3-methyl-1-pyridinyl-1H-imidazolium salts 2, which can be deprotonated to deliver strongly electron-donating bidentate N-heterocyclic carbene ligands (NHC). The nucleophilic substitution reactions of 1-[1′(R)-α-methylbenzyl]-(2R)- and (2S)-(sulfonyloxymethyl)aziridines were carried out with various nucleophiles including N3, MeO, CN, SCN, and diarylcuprates. The reaction pathway is influenced by the stereochemistry of the substrates, nucleophiles, and also the structure of the leaving groups. When the reaction site is less sterically hindered for the reactive nucleophiles to approach to the substrate 1-[1′(R)-α-methylbenzyl]-(2S)-(p-toluenesulfonyloxymethyl)aziridines, product is obtained as a single isomer while all the other starting materials afford a mixture of two isomers from two different reaction pathways. Application of this method enabled us to prepare both isomers of orally effective antiarrhythmic agent mexiletine.  相似文献

Mononuclear mercury complexes (1, 2, and 3) bearing bis-N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands of the form [(NHC)2-μ-Hg]+2 have been prepared and structurally characterised. The complexes were derived from three bis-imidazolium salts as precursors to NHC; either 1,3-bis(N-methylimidazolium-1-ylmethyl)benzene bis(hexafluorophosphate) (I·2PF6), 1,3-bis(N-butylimidazolium-1-ylmethyl)benzene bis(hexafluorophosphate) (II·2PF6) or 3,5-bis(N-butylimidazolium-1-ylmethyl)toluene bis(hexafluorophosphate) (III·2PF6) treated with mercury(II) acetate. Interestingly X-ray crystal structure analysis revealed a close interaction between the Hg metal centre with one carbon atom of the aryl linker in addition to coordination with two NHCs.  相似文献

New furan- and thiophene-functionalised nucleophilic heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes of Ag(I) were prepared via the reaction of novel furan- and thiophene-functionalised bis-imidazolium salts with Ag2O. Samples of both the N-methyl substituted furan- and thiophene-functionalised Ag(I) complexes suitable for single crystal X-ray studies were obtained following anion metathesis to the tetrafluoroborate salts. The structural characterisations revealed dinuclear [Ag2(MeCEC)2](BF4)2 (E = O, S) formulations with discrete twenty-membered dimetallacycles present in both instances; however, the overall molecular conformation varies considerably, notably in the orientations of the two bridging furan or thiophene heterocycles to the silver coordination plane. The functionalised bis-imidazolium salts were tested as in situ additives in a Pd(0)-catalysed aryl amination coupling reaction, with the best observed activities around 20% of those seen with 1,3-bis(2,6-di-iso-propylphenyl)imidazolium chloride under identical conditions. The bulkier N-tBu and N-mesityl substituted salts were found to be more active than the N-methyl substituted analogues.  相似文献

Reactions of neat 1,3- and 1,4-dibromides with N,N′-diarylformamidines in the presence of diisopropylethylamine (DIPEA) afford corresponding amidinium salts in high yields (>80%). Six- and seven-membered ring amidinium salts bearing bulky Mes (2,4,6-Me3C6H2) and Dipp (2,6-iPr2C6H3) aryl groups were prepared using this method. Free six-membered ring carbene 6-Dipp was generated from amidinium salt using LiHMDS as a base. NHC-Ag(I) complexes were obtained by the reactions of amidinium salts with Ag2O. NHC complexes of Pd and Rh are not accessible by deprotonation of amidinium salts, nor by transmetallation of Ag(I) complexes. However NHC-Cu(I) complexes were obtained by transmetallation of NHC-Ag(I). Thus, transmetallation of six- and seven-membered NHC-Ag(I) complexes was documented for the first time.  相似文献

4-Vinylbenzyl-substituted Ag(I) N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes and Ru(II) NHC complexes have been synthesized. The Ag(I) complexes were synthesized from the imidazolium salts and Ag2O in dichloromethane at room temperature. The Ru(II) complexes were prepared from Ag(I) NHC complexes by transmetallation. The six 4-Vinylbenzyl-substituted Ag(I) NHC complexes and six 4-Vinylbenzyl-substituted Ru(II) NHC complexes have been characterized by spectroscopic techniques and elemental analyses. The Ru(II) NHC complexes show catalytic activity for the transfer hydrogenation of ketones.  相似文献

The conjugate addition of S-, N- and O-heterocyclic nucleophiles to the CC bond of dehydroalanine, bonded as a Schiff’s base to the chiral auxiliary (S)-2-[N-(N′-benzylprolyl)amino]benzophenone in the coordination sphere of NiII, resulted in the asymmetric synthesis of novel (S)-α-aminopropionic acids containing a heterocyclic side chain, including imidazole, triazole, thiodiazole, thiazole and oxazole moieties (de 20–92%). After purification and cleavage of the metal complexes, the heterocyclic amino acids were isolated with high enantiomeric purity (ee >97%).  相似文献

New bis(NHC)-Pd complexes were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and IR spectroscopy. The reaction of Pd(OAc)2 and bis(benzimidazolium) salts in DMSO gave the monomeric palladium complex in which the N-heterocyclic carbene was bound to the metal centre. The crystal and molecular structure of the cis-dibromo{1,1′-di[2,3,4,5,6-pentamethylbenzyl]-3,3′-butylenedibenzimidazol-2,2′-diylidene}-palladium(II) complex was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The activity of the Pd(II) complexes in the direct arylation of benzothiazole with arylbromides was investigated. A preliminary catalytic study showed that these bis(NHC)-Pd complexes were highly active in the direct arylation of benzothiazole with arylbromides.  相似文献

Abstract

Mononuclear trans-Pd(II)–NHC complexes (where NHC?=?N-heterocyclic carbene) bearing asymmetrically substituted NHC-ligand have been synthesized via transmetalation reaction between Ag(I)–NHC complexes and [Pd(NCCH3)2Cl2]. The NHC precursors are accessible in two steps by N-n-alkyl reactions of benzimidazole. The resultant benzimidazolium salts were deprotonated with Ag2O by in situ deprotonation to facilitate the formation of mononuclear Ag(I)–NHC complexes. Single-crystal structural study for Pd(II)–NHC shows that the palladium(II) ion exhibits a square-planar geometry of two NHC ligands and two chloride ions. The cytotoxicity study was investigated against breast cancer cell line (MCF-7). The Ag(I)–NHC complexes exhibit better activities than their corresponding Pd(II)–NHC complexes, whereas all benzimidazolium salts are inactive toward MCF-7 cancer cell line.  相似文献
