Efficient polymeric catalyst for one-pot synthesis of acenaphtho[1,2-b]pyrroles

Some new derivatives of acenaphtho[1,2-b]furans have been synthesized efficiently by one-pot reaction of (acenaphthylen-1-yloxy)trimethylsilane, various aldehydes, and isocyanides in the presence of silica-supported ionic liquid.     

One-pot synthesis of acenaphtho[1,2-b]furan derivatives

New 9-(alkyl or aryl)acenaphtho[l,2-b]furan-8-(alky or aryl)amine compounds has herein been reported by one-pot reaction of (acenaphthylen-l-yloxy)trimethylsilane,alkyl and aryl aldehydes,and aryl and alky isocyanides in refluxing DMF.     

Studies on polycyclic azaarenes—1 : synthesis of acenaphtho[1,2-b]quinolines

A simple synthesis of acenaphthoquinolines by thermal cyclization of anils is described.     

Palladium-catalyzed concerted [4 + 1] cyclization of prop-2-yn-1-ones and isocyanides

A palladium-catalyzed [4+1] cycloaddition of prop-2-yn-1-ones with double isocyanides is developed herein.The transformation worked well to produce a series of 2-amino-4-cyanofurans with high efficiency and a broad reaction scope.Based on mechanism studies,it is believed that the palladiumcatalyzed [4+1] imidoylative cycloaddition of prop-2-yn-1-ones was concerted.Treated with a ryl amine and H_2 O,the [4+1] cycloaddition of prop-2-yn-1-ones with double isocyanides provided 2-amino-4-amidylpyrroles efficiently.     

Copper-catalyzed tandem reactions of 1-(2-iodoary)-2-yn-1-ones with isocyanides for the synthesis of 4-oxo-indeno[1,2-b]pyrroles

A novel copper-catalyzed tandem reaction of 1-(2-iodoaryl)-2-yn-1-ones with isocyanides is described. The reaction is through a formal [3 + 2] cycloaddition/coupling tandem process and leads to efficient formation of 4-oxo-indeno[1,2-b]pyrroles.     

Novel selenium-containing acenaphtho[1,2-b]pyrrole derivatives: Synthesis and bioactivity

Seven novel selenium-containing acenaphtho[1,2-b]pyrrole derivatives were designed and synthesized and their cytotoxic effects were evaluated by the MTT tetrazolium dye assay. Two compounds presented good anticancer activities.     

Efficient Green Protocol for the Synthesis of Novel Dihydroindeno[1,2-b]pyrroles

A simple and ecofriendly protocol has been developed for the expedient synthesis of novel dihydroindeno[1,2-b]pyrrol-4(3aH)-ones from the reaction of ninhydrin and (E)-N-methyl-1-(methylthio)-2-nitroethenamine or (E)-N-(1-(methylthio)-2-nitrovinyl)anilines.     

2,3-Dihydronaphtho[1,2-b]thiophene 1-oxides in the synthesis of 2,3-dihydronaphtho- and naphtho[1,2-b]thiophenes

2,3-Dihydronaphtho[1,2-b]thiophene 1-oxides, obtained by thermolysis of alkyl 1-naphthyl sulfoxides, are reduced by lithium aluminum hydride to 2,3-dihydronaphtho [1,2-b]thiophenes, whereas under the influence of acetic and trifluoroacetic anhydrides they form naphtho[1,2-b]thiophenes.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 12, pp. 1629–1633, December, 1989.     

Studies on polycyclic thiaarenes: Part II. An improved synthesis of phenanthro[1,2-b]thiophene and a synthesis of acenaphtho[1,2-b]naphtho-[2,3-d]thiophene,a novel polynuclear thiaarene

An improved synthesis of phenanthro[1,2-b]thiophene ( 6 ) from 1-chloro-3,4-dihydrophenanthrene-2-aldehyde ( 2 ) by condensation with thioglycolate followed by hydrolysis, decarboxylation and dehydrogenation is described. A new polycyclic thiophene derivative 14 has also been prepared from acenaphthothiophene ( 7 ) by Friedel-Craft's reaction with phthalic anhydride followed by lactonisation of the keto carboxylic acid 9 and then reduction and finally cyclisation of the resultant aldehyde 13 .     

Synthesis of acenaphtho[1,2-x]heterocycles and spiro[acenaphthylene 1-isoxazoles]

Methyl (Z)-(1,2-dihydro-2-oxo-1-acenaphthylenylidene)acetate 1 gives with hydroxylamine the oximes 2 and the pyrrole derivative 4 , whereas with hydrazines affords the pyridazinones 5 and 6 . A pyridazine derivative 8 is also isolated from the reaction of (1,2-dihydro-2-oxo-1-acenaphthylenylidene)acetone 7 with hydrazine hydrate. Reaction between the spiro-derivative 9 and hydroxylamine hydrochloride gives oxime 10 , whereas Wittig olefination of 9 with ylide 11 yields compound 12 which by reaction with 2,4,6-trimethylbenzonitrile oxide ( 13 ) affords the dispiro-derivatives 14 . Finally from the reaction of acenaphthylene-1,2-quinone ( 17 ) with the bisylide 16 the acenaphtho[1,2-c]thiophene ( 18 ) is formed.

Synthesis of substituted 1,4,5,6-tetrahydrocyclopenta[b]pyrroles by platinum-catalyzed cascade cyclization/ring expansion of 2-alkynyl-1-azaspiro[2.3]hexanes

The reaction of 2-alkynyl-1-azaspiro[2.3]hexanes with a platinum catalyst is described. 1,4,5,6-Tetrahydrocyclopenta[b]pyrroles having a variety of substituents were conveniently synthesized via a cascade cyclization/ring-expansion process.

Poly(acenaphtho[1,2-b]thieno[3,4-e]pyrazine): a new low band gap conjugated polymer

The preparation of a new conjugated polymer with a low band gap of approximately 0.5 eV has been accomplished via the electropolymerization of acenaphto[1,2-b]thieno[3,4-e]pyrazine.     

One-pot four-component synthesis of 1H-pyrazolo[1,2-b]phthalazine-5,10-dione derivatives

The synthesis of 1H-pyrazolo[1,2-b]phthalazine-5,10-dione derivatives by NiCl₂-catalyzed novel one-pot four-component condensation reaction of phthalimide, hydrazine, malononitrile (or ethyl cyanoacetate), and aromatic aldehydes was reported. This work provides a simple, efficient, and eco-friendly method for the construction of pyrazolo[1,2-b]phalazine-5,10-dione derivatives.     

Synthesis of substituted thieno[2,3-b]pyrroles

A relatively simple route for synthesis of substituted thieno[2,3-b]pyrroles from readily available starting material and data for structural assignment are reported.     

Five-membered-ring-substituted 1-methyl-1H-indeno[1,2-b]pyridines

1-Methyl-1H-indeno[1,2-b]pyridine and 1-methyl-1H-5-(, -dicarbomethoxyvinyl)-(formyl, acetyl)indeno[3,2-b]pyridines were obtained by treatment of N-methyl-4-azafluorenium iodide, as well as mixtures of it with acetylenedicarboxylic ester, dimethylformamide (DMF), and phosphorus oxychloride or acetic anhydride, with bases. 4-Azafluoronenone was used to synthesize 9-(p-methoxyphenyl)-4-azafluoren-9-ol, which was reduced to 9-(p-methoxyphenyl)-4-azafluorene, and 1-methyl-1H-5-(p-methoxyphenyl)indeno[3,2-b]pyridine was obtained from the methiodide of the latter.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 10, pp. 1382–1386, October, 1981.
