The notion of an ideal family of weighted subspaces of a discrete metric space X with bounded geometry is introduced.It is shown that,if X has Yu's property A,the ideal structure of the Roe algebra of X with coefficients in B(H) is completely characterized by the ideal families of weighted subspaces of X,where B(H) denotes the C*-algebra of bounded linear operators on a separable Hilbert space H.  相似文献

Let H be a finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebra of rank one over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero.In this paper we show that any finite-dimensional indecomposable H-module is generated by one element.In particular,any indecomposable submodule of H under the adjoint action is generated by a special element of H.Using this result,we show that the Hopf algebra H is a principal ideal ring,i.e.,any two-sided ideal of H is generated by one element.As an application,we give explicitly the generators of ideals,primitive ideals,maximal ideals and completely prime ideals of the Taft algebras.  相似文献

For every simple graph G,a class of multiple clique cluster-whiskered graphs Geπm is introduced,and it is shown that all such graphs are vertex decomposable;thus,the independence simplicial complex IndGeπm is sequentially Cohen-Macaulay.The properties of the graphs Geπm and Gπ constructed by Cook and Nagel are studied,including the enumeration of facets of the complex Ind Gπ and the calculation of Betti numbers of the cover ideal Ic(Geπ").We also prove that the complex △ =IndH is strongly shellable and pure for either a Boolean graph H =Bn or the full clique-whiskered graph H =Gw of G,which is obtained by adding a whisker to each vertex of G.This implies that both the facet ideal I(△) and the cover ideal Ic(H) have linear quotients.  相似文献

Necessary and sufficient condition on real quadratic algebraic function fields K is given for their ideal class groups H(K) to contain cyclic subgroups of order n. And eight series of such real quadratic function fields K are obtained whose ideal class groups contain cyclic subgroups of order n. We show that every closed ideal of a Segal algebra on a compact group admits a central approximate identity which has the property, called condition (U), that the induced multiplication operators converge to the identity operator uniformly on compact sets of the ideal. This result extends a known one due to H. Reiter who has considered the problem under the condition that the Segal algebra is symmetric. We prove further that a closed right ideal of a Segal algebra on a compact group admits a left approximate identity satisfying condition (U) if and only if it is approximately complemented as a subspace of the Segal algebra; if in addition the Segal algebra is symmetric, then a closed left ideal admits a right approximate identity satisfying condition (U) if and only if it is approximately complemented.  相似文献

Let H be a finite dimensional, semisimple Hopf algebra over a field K and let A be an H- module algebra. Assume K is a splitting field for H and that H is strongly semiprime. If A is H- semiprime, we show the Connes spectrum of H acting on A consists of all of the irreducible representations of H is equivalent to every nonzero annihilator ideal of the smash product meets A nontrivially. If H is also cocommutative, we let I be the intersection of the annihilators of the modules in the Connes spectrum. We find some of the information encoded in the Hopf kernel of the natural map from H to H/I.  相似文献

An inequality is established involving colengths of the tightclosure of ideals of systems of parameters in local rings withsome mild conditions. As an application, a proof is given ofa result due to Goto and Nakamura (first conjectured by Watanabeand Yoshida), which states that the Hilbert–Samuel multiplicityof a parameter ideal is greater than or equal to the colengthof the tight closure of the ideal. Recently, B. Y. Chen introduced a new invariant δ(n1,n2,…,nk) of a Riemannian manifold and proved a basic inequality between the invariant and the extrinsic invariant if, where H is the mean curvature of an immersion Mn in a real space form Rm(ε) of constant curvature ε. He pointed out that such inequality also holds for a totally real immersion in a complex space form. The immersion is called ideal (by B. Y. Chen) if it satisfies the equality case of such inequality identically. In this paper we classify ideal semi-parallel immersions in an Euclidean space if their normal bundle is flat, and prove that every ideal semi-parallel Lagrangian immersion in a complex space form is totally geodesic, moreover this result also holds for ideal semi-symmetric Lagrangian immersions in complex projective space and hyperbolic space.  相似文献

Let R be a commutative ring,I an ideal of R and k ≥ 2 a fixed integer.The ideal-based k-zero-divisor hypergraph HkI(R) of R has vertex set ZI(R,k),the set of all ideal-based k-zero-divisors of R,and for distinct elements x1,x2,…,xk in ZI(R,k),the set {x1,x2,…,xk} is an edge in HkI(R) if and only if x1x2…xk ∈ I and the product of the elements of any (k-1)-subset of {x1,x2,…,xk} is not in I.In this paper,we show that H3I(R) is connected with diameter at most 4 provided that x2 (∈) I for all ideal-based 3-zero-divisor hypergraphs.Moreover,we find the chromatic number of H3 (R) when R is a product of finite fields.Finally,we find some necessary conditions for a finite ring R and a nonzero ideal I of R to have H3I (R) planar.  相似文献

Abstract

Geometric methods for systems of partial differential equations and multiple integral problems in the calculus of variations lead naturally to differentiable manifolds that resemble fiber bundles but do not possess a structure group; in terms of local coordinates, π:B→Mn|(xi, qα)→(xi), dim(B) = N + n, dim(Mn) = n. The standard notions of horizontal distributions, horizontal and vertical subspaces of T(B), T(B) = V(B) ⊕ H(B), horizontal lifts of curves in Mn, and horizontal and vertical dual subspaces with Λ1(B) = V*(B) ⊕ H*(B) are shown to be well defined in B. The absence of a structure group is compensated for by an analysis based on the homogeneous ideals V and H that are generated by the canonical bases of V*(B) and H*(B), respectively. The differential system constructed from the generators of the horizontal ideal is shown to lead to a unique system of connection 1-forms and torsion 2-forms under the requirements that they have vacuous intersections with the horizontal ideal. The horizontal ideal is shown to be completely integrable if and only if the torsion 2-forms vanish throughout B, in which case the curvature 2-forms are congruent to zero mod H, and the curvature 2-forms are shown to have a vacuous intersection with H if and only if the horizontal distribution is affine. The paper concludes with a study of the mapping properties of the connection, torsion and curvature. These are significantly more general than those of a fiber bundle since the absence of a structure group allows mappings of the form 'xi = φi(x,q), 'qα = φα (x,q).  相似文献
