A hierarchical hollow hybrid composite, namely, MnO2 nanosheets grown on nitrogen‐doped hollow carbon shells (NHCSs@MnO2), was synthesized by a facile in situ growth process followed by calcination. The composite has a high surface area (251 m2g?1) and mesopores (4.5 nm in diameter), which can efficiently facilitate transport during electrochemical cycling. Owing to the synergistic effect of NHCSs and MnO2, the composite shows a high specific capacitance of 306 F g?1, good rate capability, and an excellent cycling stability of 95.2 % after 5000 cycles at a high current density of 8 A g?1. More importantly, an asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) assembled by using NHCSs@MnO2 and activated carbon as the positive and negative electrodes exhibits high specific capacitance (105.5 F g?1 at 0.5 A g?1 and 78.5 F g?1 at 10 A g?1) with excellent rate capability, achieves a maximum energy density of 43.9 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 408 W kg?1, and has high stability, whereby the ASC retains 81.4 % of its initial capacitance at a current density of 5 A g?1 after 4000 cycles. Therefore, the NHCSs@MnO2 electrode material is a promising candidate for future energy‐storage systems.  相似文献

Nanosized Fe3O4-modified activated carbon composites for supercapacitor electrodes have been investigated. Structural and morphological characterizations of activated materials are carried out using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. The electrochemical performances of the composite electrodes are evaluated by cyclic voltammetry, chronopotentiometry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The experimental results show that the specific capacitances of the 10 wt % Fe3O4-modified activated carbon composite electrode (154.3 F g?1) is highly improved compared with that of Fe3O4 (78.5 F g?1) and AC (79.2 F g?1) at the current density of 5 mA cm?2, respectively. The charge/discharge tests show that it could retain 79.6% of its initial capacitance over 1000 cycles, suggesting its potential application for the fabrication of high-quality supercapacitors.  相似文献

Thiourea aldehyde resin-based heteroatom doping carbon and graphene composites (RHDC/GN) were prepared by an in situ polymerization and carbonization. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images showed that thiourea aldehyde resin deposited on lamellar GO flakes during the polymerization and RHDC/GN composites had a hierarchical structure. The specific capacitance of the RHDC/GN composites was high up to 355 F g?1, much higher than that of the pure thiourea aldehyde resin-based heteroatom doping carbon (RHDC) with specific capacitance of 135 F g?1 at a current density of 1.0 A g?1 in 6-M KOH electrolyte. And the hetroatoms in RHDC/GN composites increase the specific capacitance, and GN enhances the conductivity of the electrodes which is beneficial to improving electrochemical cycling stability of the electrode significantly. The specific capacitance retains 90.97% after 5000 charge-discharge processes at 10 A g?1, which provides potential as supercapacitors.  相似文献

The development of high‐surface‐area carbon electrodes with a defined pore size distribution and the incorporation of pseudo‐active materials to optimize the overall capacitance and conductivity without destroying the stability are at present important research areas. Composite electrodes of carbon nano‐onions (CNOs) and polypyrrole (Ppy) were fabricated to improve the specific capacitance of a supercapacitor. The carbon nanostructures were uniformly coated with Ppy by chemical polymerization or by electrochemical potentiostatic deposition to form homogenous composites or bilayers. The materials were characterized by transmission‐ and scanning electron microscopy, differential thermogravimetric analyses, FTIR spectroscopy, piezoelectric microgravimetry, and cyclic voltammetry. The composites show higher mechanical and electrochemical stabilities, with high specific capacitances of up to about 800 F g?1 for the CNOs/SDS/Ppy composites (chemical synthesis) and about 1300 F g?1 for the CNOs/Ppy bilayer (electrochemical deposition).  相似文献

The self-sustaining hybrid electrode was prepared via chemical polymerization of aniline in acid medium containing dispersed carbon nanotubes (CNT), using carbon fiber (CF) as conducting substrate. The ternary composites called PAni/CNT/CF were characterized in order to evaluate their morphologies, structures, and thermal properties. The influence of the polyaniline (PAni) layer in the ternary composite properties was studied considering different deposition times on CF samples (30, 60, and 90 min). The ternary composite morphologies were observed by scanning electron microscopy while thermal structural analyses were obtained using thermogravimetric measurements. The structural features were analyzed by Raman scattering spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The possible interactions between PAni and CNT were discussed on the basis of Raman and FTIR spectra. These spectroscopic analyses also confirmed that the PAni present in the composite is in the emeraldine (ES) salt form. Furthermore, the ternary composites were also evaluated by electrochemical measurements such as cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge–discharge, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques. The results showed good charge storage capacity for ternary composites, in particular, for PAni/CNT/CF obtained with 90 min of deposition time, which exhibited specific capacitance of around 500 F g?1. Therefore, this electrode was selected to build a prototype of type I supercapacitor. This device presented specific capacitance of around 143 F g?1 after 3200 charge/discharge cycles.  相似文献

Electrochemical behavior of poly-3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene composites with manganese dioxide (PEDOT/MnO2) has been investigated by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance at various component ratios and in different electrolyte solutions. The electrochemical formation of PEDOT film on the electrode surface and PEDOT/MnO2 composite film during the electrochemical deposition of manganese dioxide into the polymer matrix was gravimetrically monitored. The mass of manganese dioxide deposited into PEDOT at different time of electrodeposition and apparent molar mass values of species involved into mass transfer during redox cycling of PEDOT/MnO2 composites were evaluated. It was found that during the redox cycling of PEDOT/MnO2 composite films with various MnO2 content, the oppositely directed fluxes of counterions (anions and cations) occur, resulting in a change of the slope of linear parts of the Δf–E plots with changing the mass fraction of MnO2 in the composite film.Rectangular shape of cyclic voltammograms of PEDOT/MnO2 composites with different loadings of manganese dioxide was observed, which is characteristic of the pseudocapacitive behavior of the composite material. Specific capacity values of PEDOT/MnO2 composites obtained from cyclic voltammograms were about 169 F g?1. The specific capacity, related to the contribution of manganese dioxide component, was about 240 F g?1.  相似文献

Iron oxides are considered as the promising pseudocapacitive materials for high-performance supercapacitors due to their high theoretical specific capacitance, low cost, environmental benignity, and natural abundance. In this work, we study capacitive behavior of different magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles/carbon black (CB) composites ratios. These composites are synthesized by the coprecipitation method in the presence of ultrasonic waves. The structural and morphological characteristics of the magnetite/CB composites are investigated by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. The electrochemical performance of magnetite/CB composite electrodes is tested by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge in a Na2SO4 electrolyte. The results indicate that the magnetite/CB electrodes show typical pseudo-capacitive behavior in Na2SO4 solution. Moreover, in comparison to the pure Fe3O4 (37 F g?1) and carbon black (23 F g?1), the as-prepared 45 % magnetite/CB nanocomposite electrode shows a higher specific capacitance (300 F g?1). Additionally, the supercapacitor device of the magnetite/CB nanocomposite exhibits excellent long cycle life along with 98.5 % specific capacitance retained after 10,000 cycle tests.  相似文献

Graphene aerogels (GA), prepared with an organic sol–gel process, possessing a high specific surface area of 793 m2 g?1, a high pore volume of 3 cm3 g?1, and a large average pore size of 17 nm, were applied as a support for manganese oxide for supercapacitor applications. The manganese oxide was electrochemically deposited into the highly porous GA to form MnO2/GA composites. The composites, at a high manganese oxide loading of 61 wt. %, exhibited a high specific capacitance of 410 F g?1 at 2 mV s?1. More importantly, the high rate specific capacitances measured at 1000 mV s?1 for these composites were two‐fold higher than those obtained with samples prepared in the absence of the GA support. The specific capacitance retention ratio, based on the specific capacitance obtained at 25 mV s?1, was maintained high, at 85 %, even at the high scan rate of 1000 mV s?1, in contrast with the significantly lower value of 67 % for the plain manganese oxide sample. For the cycling stability, the specific capacitance of the composite electrode decayed by only 5 % after 50,000 cycles at 1000 mV s?1. The success of this MnO2/GA composite may be attributed to the structural advantages of high specific surface areas, high pore volumes, large pore sizes, and three‐dimensionally well‐connected network of the GA support. These structural advantages made possible the high mass loading of the active material, manganese oxide, large amounts of electroactive surfaces for the superficial redox events, fast mass‐transfer within the porous structure, and well‐connected conductive paths for the involved charge transport.  相似文献

Porous nitrogen‐doped carbon nanotubes (PNCNTs) with a high specific surface area (1765 m2 g?1) and a large pore volume (1.28 cm3 g?1) have been synthesized from a tubular polypyrrole (T‐PPY). The inner diameter and wall thickness of the PNCNTs are about 55 nm and 22 nm, respectively. This material shows extremely promising properties for both supercapacitors and for encapsulating sulfur as a superior cathode material for high‐performance lithium–sulfur (Li‐S) batteries. At a current density of 0.5 A g?1, PNCNT presents a high specific capacitance of 210 F g?1, as well as excellent cycling stability at a current density of 2 A g?1. When the S/PNCNT composite was tested as the cathode material for Li‐S batteries, the initial discharge capacity was 1341 mAh g?1 at a current rate of 1 C and, even after 50 cycles at the same rate, the high reversible capacity was retained at 933 mAh g?1. The promising electrochemical energy‐storage performance of the PNCNTs can be attributed to their excellent conductivity, large surface area, nitrogen doping, and unique pore‐size distribution.  相似文献

Nitrogen‐doped porous carbon nanotubes@MnO2 (N‐CNTs@MnO2) nanocomposites are prepared through the in situ growth of MnO2 nanosheets on N‐CNTs derived from polypyrrole nanotubes (PNTs). Benefiting from the synergistic effects between N‐CNTs (high conductivity and N doping level) and MnO2 nanosheets (high theoretical capacity), the as‐prepared N‐CNTs@MnO2‐800 nanocomposites show a specific capacitance of 219 F g?1 at a current density of 1.0 A g?1, which is higher than that of pure MnO2 nanosheets (128 F g?1) and PNTs (42 F g?1) in 0.5 m Na2SO4 solution. Meanwhile, the capacitance retention of 86.8 % (after 1000 cycles at 10 A g?1) indicates an excellent electrochemical performance of N‐CNTs@MnO2 prepared in this work.  相似文献

We report on a label-free electrochemical immunosensor for α-fetoprotein (α-FP). It is based on the use of a glassy carbon electrode that was first modified with conducting poly(5-formylindole) and single-walled carbon nanotubes (P5FIn/SWNTs), and then coated with gold nanoparticles and the respective antibody. The presence of aldehyde groups warrants direct immobilization of the antibody and results in a convenient method for fabricating of the immunosensor. Gold nanoparticles (GNPs) were deposited on the P5FIn/SWNTs composite material, and the modified electrode was applied to the detection of α-FP. The analytical signal is obtained by measuring the change of amperometric response at a typical working voltage of 100 mV before and after the immunoreaction. The detection limit is 200 fg mL?1. The immunosensor is simple, sensitive, specific and reproducible. It has the potential for reliable point-of-care diagnosis of tumor or other diseases. Figure

Here, carbon nanotube@N‐doped mesoporous carbon (CNT@N‐PC) composites were synthesized by using resorcinol‐formaldehyde resin as carbon source, ionic liquids (ILs) as template, and nitrogen sources and tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) as assistant agent. The use of ILs‐modified CNT with nitrogen and TEOS facilitated the generation of a richer mesoporous structure. The obtained CNT@N‐PC was composed of a CNT core and mesoporous carbon particles around it. CNT@N‐PC showed a 3D network structure like “dewy cobwebs” and had a high surface area of 857 m2 g?1, uniform pore size distribution (3.0 nm), and suitable N content (4.9 at.%). When used as supercapacitor electrode, the CNT@N‐PC exhibited a high specific capacitance (244 F g?1 at 1 A g?1), good rate capability and favorable capacitance retention (92.5 % capacitive retention after 5000 cycles), demonstrating the potential for application in high‐performance supercapacitors.  相似文献

Mesoporous carbon nanosheets (MCNs) were synthesized using porous magnesium oxide (MgO) layer as the template precursor and resol as the carbon source. The morphology of the mesoporous carbon particles can be easily controlled by altering the mass ratio of MgO to resol. The structural characterization demonstrates that the interlaced MCNs can be formed when MgO/resol is 1:1 and they possess the carbon nanolayer with a thickness of about 5 nm and a width of about 200 nm. The quantities of mesopores and micropores endow the MCNs with a large surface area of 1,180 m2?g?1 and a high pore volume of 1.56 cm3?g?1. The supercapacitive performance of carbon products synthesized with various MgO/resol ratios was evaluated using cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge–discharge techniques. The results show that the interlaced MCNs exhibit the highest specific capacitance of 241 F?g?1, the best rate capability and cycling stability, which are attributed to the fast electrolyte ion transport or diffusion throughout the electrode matrix and effective utilization of the electrical double-layer capacitance of carbon layer.  相似文献

Thick, uniform, easily processed, highly conductive polymer films are desirable as electrodes for solar cells as well as polymer capacitors. Here, a novel scalable strategy is developed to prepare highly conductive thick poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrene sulfonate (HCT‐PEDOT:PSS) films with layered structure that display a conductivity of 1400 S cm?1 and a low sheet resistance of 0.59 ohm sq?1. Organic solar cells with laminated HCT‐PEDOT:PSS exhibit a performance comparable to the reference devices with vacuum‐deposited Ag top electrodes. More importantly, the HCT‐PEDOT:PSS film delivers a specific capacitance of 120 F g?1 at a current density of 0.4 A g?1. All‐solid‐state flexible symmetric supercapacitors with the HCT‐PEDOT:PSS films display a high volumetric energy density of 6.80 mWh cm?3 at a power density of 100 mW cm?3 and 3.15 mWh cm?3 at a very high power density of 16160 mW cm?3 that outperforms previous reported solid‐state supercapacitors based on PEDOT materials.  相似文献

High‐performance electrical double‐layer capacitors (EDLCs) require carbon electrode materials with high specific surface area, short ion‐diffusion pathways, and outstanding electrical conductivity. Herein, a general approach combing the molten‐salt method and chemical activation to prepare N‐doped carbon nanosheets with high surface area (654 m2 g?1) and adjustable porous structure is presented. Owing to their structural features, the N‐doped carbon nanosheets exhibited superior capacitive performance, demonstrated by a maximum capacitance of 243 F g?1 (area‐normalized capacitance up to 37 μF cm?2) at a current density of 0.5 A g?1 in aqueous electrolyte, high rate capability (179 F g?1 at 20 A g?1), and excellent cycle stability. This method provides a new route to prepare porous and heteroatom‐doped carbon nanosheets for high‐performance EDLCs, which could also be extended to other polymer precursors and even waste biomass.  相似文献

For the first time, hierarchically porous carbon materials with a sandwich‐like structure are synthesized through a facile and efficient tri‐template approach. The hierarchically porous microstructures consist of abundant macropores and numerous micropores embedded into the crosslinked mesoporous walls. As a result, the obtained carbon material with a unique sandwich‐like structure has a relatively high specific surface (1235 m2 g?1), large pore volume (1.30 cm3 g?1), and appropriate pore size distribution. These merits lead to a comparably high specific capacitance of 274.8 F g?1 at 0.2 A g?1 and satisfying rate performance (87.7 % retention from 1 to 20 A g?1). More importantly, the symmetric supercapacitor with two identical as‐prepared carbon samples shows a superior energy density of 18.47 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 179.9 W kg?1. The asymmetric supercapacitor based on as‐obtained carbon sample and its composite with manganese dioxide (MnO2) can reach up to an energy density of 25.93 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 199.9 W kg?1. Therefore, these unique carbon material open a promising prospect for future development and utilization in the field of energy storage.  相似文献

Preparation and electrochemical behavior of new hybrid materials composed of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) that were derivatized with poly(diallyldimethylammonium) chloride and modified with vanadium-mixed addenda Dawson-type heteropolytungstate, [P2W17VO62]8?, is described here. These nanostructured composite systems exhibited fast dynamics of charge propagation. They were characterized by the transport (effectively diffusional) kinetic parameter of approximately 8?×?10?8 cm?2 s?1/2 and the specific capacitance parameter of 82 F g?1 (at the charging/discharging current of 200 mA g?1). The latter parameter for bare CNTs was found to be only 50 F g?1 under analogous conditions. These observations were based on the results of galvanostatic charging–discharging, cyclic voltammetric, and AC impedance spectroscopic measurements. The improved capacitance properties were attributed to the systems’ pseudocapacitive features originating from the fast redox transitions of the [P2W17VO62]8? polyanions. In addition to the fast redox conduction, the proposed organic–inorganic hybrid materials exhibited interesting electrocatalytic activity toward reduction of bromate in the broad concentration range (sensitivity, 0.24 mA cm?2 mmol?1 dm3).  相似文献

MnMoO4 nanotubes of diameter about 120 nm were successfully synthesized by a single-spinneret electrospinning technique followed by calcination in air, and their structural, morphological, and electrochemical properties were studied with the aim to fabricate high-performance supercapacitor devices. The obtained MnMoO4 nanotubes display a 1D architecture with a porous structure and hollow interiors. Benefiting from intriguing structural features, the unique MnMoO4 nanotube electrodes exhibit a high specific capacitance, excellent rate capability, and cycling stability. As an example, the tube-like MnMoO4 delivers a specific capacitance of 620 F g?1 at a current density of 1 A g?1, and 460 F g?1 even at a very high current density of 60 A g?1. Remarkably, almost no decay in specific capacitance is found after continuous charge/discharge cycling for 10,000 cycles at 1 A g?1. An asymmetric supercapacitor fabricated from this MnMoO4 nanotubes and activated carbon displayed a maximum high energy density of 31.7 Wh kg?1 and a power density of 797 W kg?1, demonstrating a good prospect for practical applications in energy storage electronics.  相似文献

A series of nanostructured carbon/antimony composites have been successfully synthesized by a simple sol–gel, high‐temperature carbon thermal reduction process. In the carbon/antimony composites, antimony nanoparticles are homogeneously dispersed in the pyrolyzed nanoporous carbon matrix. As an anode material for lithium‐ion batteries, the C/Sb10 composite displays a high initial discharge capacity of 1214.6 mAh g?1 and a reversible charge capacity of 595.5 mAh g?1 with a corresponding coulombic efficiency of 49 % in the first cycle. In addition, it exhibits a high reversible discharge capacity of 466.2 mAh g?1 at a current density of 100 mA g?1 after 200 cycles and a high rate discharge capacity of 354.4 mAh g?1 at a current density of 1000 mA g?1. The excellent cycling stability and rate discharge performance of the C/Sb10 composite could be due to the uniform dispersion of antimony nanoparticles in the porous carbon matrix, which can buffer the volume expansion and maintain the integrity of the electrode during the charge–discharge cycles.  相似文献
