In this study, we investigate pairwise non-classical correlations measured using a one-way quantum deficit as well as quantum coherence in the XY spin-1/2 chain in a transverse magnetic field for both zero and finite temperatures. The analytical and numerical results of our investigations are presented. In the case when the temperature is zero, it is shown that the one-way quantum deficit can characterize quantum phase transitions as well as quantum coherence. We find that these measures have a clear critical point at λ = 1. When λ ≤ 1, the one-way quantum deficit has an analytical expression that coincides with the relative entropy of coherence. We also study an XX model and an Ising chain at the finite temperatures.  相似文献

Quantum coherence is an important physical resource in quantum computation and quantum information processing. In this paper, the distribution of the robustness of coherence in multipartite quantum system is considered. It is shown that the additivity of the robustness of coherence is not always valid for general quantum state, but the robustness of coherence is decreasing under partial trace for any bipartite quantum system. The ordering states with the coherence measures RoC, the l1 norm of coherence \(C_{l_{1}}\) and the relative entropy of coherence C r are also discussed.  相似文献

This paper investigates the influence of the spin squeezing parameter γ, the external magnetic field B and the temperature T on the concurrence (C), the quantum discord (QD), and the geometric quantum discord (GQD) in the two-qubit two-axis spin squeezing model in thermal equilibrium under an external magnetic field. The results show that the spin squeezing parameter γ has a positive effect on all three correlations. When the system is in the ground state, the external magnetic field B has a weakening effect on the three types of quantum correlations. Particularly, the spin squeezing parameter can be used to alleviate the destructive effect of the magnetic field on the geometric quantum discord. At a relatively high temperature, the externally applied magnetic field B helps enhance the quantum discord (QD). Further, the quantum discord is more robust than concurrence, and thus is more suitable for use as a quantum resource in information processing.  相似文献

We compute quantum dissonance Q (non-entangled quantum correlation), entanglement E, quantum discord D (total quantum correlation) and classical correlation C for spin pairs at any distance in the infinite XY spin-1/2 chains, i.e., the anisotropic XY model and the isotropic XY model with three-spin interactions. We obtain two simple dominance relations: CE and DE + Q Except this, there are no other simple ordering relations between them. We also show that Q can detect the special points of the system where the entanglement just appears or completely disappears. In addition, it is worthwhile to mention that dissonance and classical correlation can also clearly spotlight the critical points of quantum phase transitions in XY spin-1/2 chains.  相似文献

We study the dynamics of quantum correlations involving entanglement and discord of two pairs of two-level atoms in cavity QED. In the model, two atoms A and C are coupled with a single-mode cavity field via Tavis-Cumming interaction at one location, and the same for B and D at another location. The two locations are connected by the entanglement of the atoms AB and CD while there are no any direct interactions between them. Through comparing the robustness of entanglement and discord of the atoms in various initial conditions of cavities, it is shown the discord is more robust than the entanglement and would be useful in quantum information technology.  相似文献

An example of coding a source of quantum states with a finite frequency band W and finite exit power not exceeding ~(?W)W is given. The number of classical information bits that can be coded in the quantum states generated by such a source per unit time is C=W. Such a source is minimal in the sense that the filling factor for each of the orthogonal single-particle modes constituting N=WT-photon vector in time window 2T is equal to 1. If a one-dimensional quantum lattice system is subject to one step of a reversible discrete-time dynamics, it is intuitive that as much “quantum information” as moves into any given block of cells from the left, has to exit that block to the right. For two types of such systems — namely quantum walks and cellular automata — we make this intuition precise by defining an index, a quantity that measures the “net flow of quantum information” through the system. The index supplies a complete characterization of two properties of the discrete dynamics. First, two systems S 1, S 2 can be “pieced together”, in the sense that there is a system S which acts like S 1 in one region and like S 2 in some other region, if and only if S 1 and S 2 have the same index. Second, the index labels connected components of such systems: equality of the index is necessary and sufficient for the existence of a continuous deformation of S 1 into S 2. In the case of quantum walks, the index is integer-valued, whereas for cellular automata, it takes values in the group of positive rationals. In both cases, the map \({S \mapsto {\rm ind} S}\) is a group homomorphism if composition of the discrete dynamics is taken as the group law of the quantum systems. Systems with trivial index are precisely those which can be realized by partitioned unitaries, and the prototypes of systems with non-trivial index are shifts.  相似文献

Experimental studies of the antiferromagnetic (AF) heavy fermion metal YbRh2Si2 in a magnetic field B indicate the presence of a jump in the Hall coefficient at a magnetic-field tuned quantum state in the zero temperature limit. This quantum state occurs at BBc0 and induces the jump even though the change of the magnetic field at B = Bc0 is infinitesimal. We investigated this by using the model of heavy electron liquid with the fermion condensate. Within this model, the jump takes place when the magnetic field reaches the critical value Bc0 at which the ordering temperature TN(B = Bc0) of the AF transition vanishes. We show that at BBc0, this second order AF phase transition becomes the first order one, making the corresponding quantum and thermal critical fluctuations vanish at the jump. At T → 0 and B = Bc0 the Grüneisen ratio as a function of the temperature T diverges. We demonstrate that both the divergence and the jump are determined by the specific low temperature behavior of the entropy \(S(T) \propto S_0 + a\sqrt T + bT\) with S0; a and b are temperature independent constants.  相似文献

The first experimental study of the evolution of a coherent electron-hole (e-h) BCS-like state in bulk GaAs at room temperature is presented. We explicitly demonstrate that the total spontaneous emission from e-h pairs located within the conduction and valence bands approaches zero when the radiative recombination of the e-h BCS state occurs. This confirms that a vast majority of electrons and holes available are condensed at the very bottoms of the bands and form the BCS state. The average lifetime of this state is measured to be around 300 fs. We also show that the coherence of electrons and holes of the BCS state is preserved for a much longer time compared to the intraband relaxation time T2.  相似文献

If a system falls through a black hole horizon, then its information is lost to an observer at infinity. But we argue that the accessible information is lost before the horizon is crossed. The temperature of the hole limits information carrying signals from a system that has fallen too close to the horizon. Extremal holes have T = 0, but there is a minimum energy required to emit a quantum in the short proper time left before the horizon is crossed. If we attempt to bring the system back to infinity for observation, then acceleration radiation destroys the information. All three considerations give a critical distance from the horizon \({d\sim \sqrt\frac{r_H}{\Delta E}}\), where r H is the horizon radius and ΔE is the energy scale characterizing the system. For systems in string theory where we pack information as densely as possible, this acceleration constraint is found to have a geometric interpretation. These estimates suggest that in theories of gravity we should measure information not as a quantity contained inside a given system, but in terms of how much of that information can be reliably accessed by another observer.  相似文献

Quantum public key encryption system provides information confidentiality using quantum mechanics. This paper presents a quantum public key cryptosystem (QPKC) based on the Bell states. By Holevos theorem, the presented scheme provides the security of the secret key using one-wayness during the QPKC. In this paper, we discuss the coherence of the reduced state in system H A ?H B under taking different quantum operations acting on subsystem H B . Firstly, we show that for a pure bipartite state, the coherence of the final subsystem H A under the sum of two orthonormal rank 1 projections acting on H B is less than or equal to the sum of the coherence of the state after two orthonormal projections acting on H B , respectively. Secondly, we obtain that the coherence of reduced state in subsystem H A under random unitary channel \({\Phi }(\rho )={\sum }_{s}\lambda _{s}U_{s}\rho U_{s}^{\ast }\) acting on H B , is equal to the coherence of the state after each operation \({\Phi }_{s}(\rho )=\lambda _{s}U_{s}\rho U_{s}^{\ast }\) acting on H B for every s. In addition, for general quantum operation \({\Phi }(\rho )={\sum }_{s}F_{s}\rho F_{s}^{\ast }\) on H B , we get the relation

In recent years, a sufficient condition for determining chaotic behaviours of the non-linear systems has been characterized by the negative Schwarzian derivative (Hac?bekiro?lu et al, Nonlinear Anal.: Real World Appl. 10, 1270 (2009)). In this work, the Schwarzian derivative has been calculated for investigating the quantum chaotic transition points in the high-temperature superconducting frame of reference, which is known as a nonlinear dynamical system that displays some macroscopic quantum effects. In our previous works, two quantum chaotic transition points of the critical transition temperature, T c, and paramagnetic Meissner transition temperature, T PME, have been phenomenologically predicted for the mercury-based high-temperature superconductors (Onba?l? et al, Chaos, Solitons and Fractals 42, 1980 (2009); Aslan et al, J. Phys.: Conf. Ser. 153, 012002 (2009); Çataltepe, Superconductor (Sciyo Company, India, 2010)). The T c, at which the one-dimensional global gauge symmetry is spontaneously broken, refers to the second-order phase transition, whereas the T PME, at which time reversal symmetry is broken, indicates the change in the direction of orbital current in the system (Onba?l? et al, Chaos, Solitons and Fractals 42, 1980 (2009)). In this context, the chaotic behaviour of the mercury-based high-temperature superconductors has been investigated by means of the Schwarzian derivative of the magnetic moment versus temperature. In all calculations, the Schwarzian derivatives have been found to be negative at both T c and T PME which are in agreement with the chaotic behaviour of the system.  相似文献

Exploiting the thermo entangled state approach, we successfully solve the master equation for describing the single-mode cavity driven by an oscillating external field in the heat reservoir and then get the analytical time-evolution rule for the density operator in the infinitive Kraus operator-sum representation. It is worth noting that the Kraus operator M l, m is proved to be a trace-preserving quantum operation. As an application, the time-evolution for an initial coherent state ρ |β = |β〉〈β| in such an environment is investigated, which shows that the initial coherent state decays to a new mixed state as a result of thermal noise, however the coherence can still be reserved for amplitude damping.  相似文献

The effects of single-ion anisotropy on quantum criticality in a d-dimensional spin-S planar ferromagnet is explored by means of the two-time Green’s function method. We work at the Tyablikov decoupling level for exchange interactions and the Anderson-Callen decoupling level for single-ion anisotropy. In our analysis a longitudinal external magnetic field is used as the non-thermal control parameter and the phase diagram and the quantum critical properties are established for suitable values of the single-ion anisotropy parameter D. We find that the single-ion anisotropy has sensible effects on the structure of the phase diagram close to the quantum critical point. However, for values of the uniaxial crystal-field parameter below a positive threshold, the conventional magnetic-field-induced quantum critical scenario remains unchanged.  相似文献

The uniaxial strain of quasi-one-dimensional conductor whiskers of orthorhombic TaS3 at a strain higher than ε c ~ 0.8% leads to a sharp increase in the coherence of the properties of a charge density wave (CDW), which manifests itself in its motion in fields higher than threshold field E t . During uniaxial elongation, TaS3 is shown to exhibit the following unusual properties even in weak fields: Peierls transition temperature T P depends nonmonotonically on ε, one-dimensional fluctuations weaken near T P , and the coherence length of a charge density increases at T < T P . Investigations in fields higher than E t show that the ultracoherent properties of CDW exist in a wide temperature range and are retained when temperature increases up to T P . These properties of CDW make it possible to observe a sharp increase in E t near T P and an almost jumplike increase in E t at T < 90 K. The increase in E t at T P is explained by a decrease in the coherence volume of CDW because of a fluctuational suppression of the Peierls gap.  相似文献

We study the precision of parameter estimation for dephasing model under squeezed environment. We analytically calculate the dephasing factor γ(t) and obtain the analytic quantum Fisher information (QFI) for the amplitude parameter α and the phase parameter ?. It is shown that the QFI for the amplitude parameter α is invariant in the whole process, while the QFI for the phase parameter ? strongly depends on the reservoir squeezing. It is shown that the QFI can be enhanced for appropriate squeeze parameters r and θ. Finally, we also investigate the effects of temperature on the QFI.  相似文献

Based on a particular mathematical structure of a certain function f(x) under our attention, we present a novel quantum algorithm. The algorithm allows one to determine the property of a certain function. In our study, it is f(x) = f(?x). Therefore, there would be a question here, “How fast can we succeed in this?” All we need to do is only the evaluation of a single quantum state \(|\overbrace {0,0,\ldots ,0,1}^{N}\rangle \) (N ≥?2). Only using that with a little amount of information, we can derive the global property f(x) = f(?x). Our quantum algorithm overcomes a classical counterpart by a factor of the order of 2N.  相似文献

Joint unitary operations play a central role in quantum communication and computation. We give a quantum circuit for implementing a type of unconstructed useful joint unitary evolutions in terms of controlled-NOT (CNOT) gates and single-qubit rotations. Our synthesis is optimal and possible in experiment. Two CNOT gates and seven R x , R y or R z rotations are required for our synthesis, and the arbitrary parameter contained in the evolutions can be controlled by local Hamiltonian or external fields.  相似文献
