A tridentate Schiff base carboxylate ligand, derived from the condensation of pyridine 2-carboxaldehyde with anthranilic acid, reacts with copper trifluoroacetate salt to give rise to the helical chain complex [Cu(C(13)H(9)N(2)O(2))(F(3)CCO(2))](n)() (1) and with copper nitrate to give rise to the tetranuclear complex [[Cu(4)(C(13)H(9)N(2)O(2))(4)(H(2)O)(4)].3.5NO(3).0.5N(3)] (2) with the addition of azide salt. The structures of these complexes have been solved by X-ray crystallography. The Cu(II) ions are in a distorted square-pyramidal environment in complex 1. They are sequentially bridged by carboxylate groups in the syn-anti conformation, resulting in the formation of an infinite helix like chain along the crystallographic c-axis. The crystal structure of complex 2 consists of tetranuclear [Cu(4)(L)(4)(H(2)O)(4)](4+) (L = C(13)H(9)N(2)O(2)(-)) cations and isolated NO(3)(-) and N(3)(-) anions in the ratio 1:3.5:0.5, respectively, involving bridging carboxylate groups in the syn-anti conformation. For 1 the carboxylato-Cu(II) coordination is apical-basal, while for 2 it is basal-basal. From the magnetic susceptibility measurements the complex 1 is found to exhibit very weak antiferromagnetic interaction whereas a weak ferromagnetic coupling has been established for complex 2. The magnetic behavior can be satisfactorily explained on the basis of the structural data for these and related complexes.  相似文献

The reaction of cyclohexylphosphonic acid (C(6)H(11)PO(3)H(2)), anhydrous CuCl(2) and 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) in the presence of triethylamine followed by a metathesis reaction with KNO(3) afforded [Cu(4)(mu-Cl)(2)(mu(3)-C(6)H(11)PO(3))(2)(bpy)(4)](NO(3))(2) (1). In an analogous reaction involving Cu(OAc)(2).H(2)O, the complex [Cu(4)(mu-CH(3)COO)(2)(mu(3)-C(6)H(11)PO(3))(2)(2,2'-bpy)(4)](CH(3)COO)(2) (2) has been isolated. The three-component reaction involving Cu(NO(3))(2).3H(2)O, cyclohexylphosphonic acid and 2,2'-bipyridine in the presence of triethylamine afforded the tetranuclear assembly [Cu(4)(mu-OH)(mu(3)-C(6)H(11)PO(3))(2)(2,2'-bpy)(4) (H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(3) (3). Replacing 2,2'-bipyridine with 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) in the above reaction resulted in [Cu(4)(mu-OH)(mu(3)-C(6)H(11)PO(3))(2)(phen)(4)(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(3) (4). In all the copper(II) phosphonates (1-4) the two phosphonate ions bridge the four copper(II) ions in a capping coordination action. Each phosphonate ion bridges four copper(II) ions in a mu(4), eta(3) coordination mode or 4.211 of the Harris notation. Variable-temperature magnetic studies on reveal that all four complexes exhibit moderately strong intramolecular antiferromagnetic coupling. The DNA cleavage activity of complexes 1-4 is also described. Compounds 1 and 3 were able to completely convert the supercoiled pBR322 DNA form I to nick form II without any co-oxidant. In contrast, 50% conversion occurred with and 40% with 4. In the presence of magnesium monoperoxyphthalate all four compounds achieved rapid conversion of form I to form II.  相似文献

The valences of metal ions were found to play key roles in controlling the formation and structures of discrete coordination architectures in a copper and disk-shaped hexa-monodentate ligand system. When Cu(I) and Cu(II) ions react with a polydentate ligand HPDQ, a hexanuclear "double-decker" like discrete "LM(3)M(3)L" coordination architecture (CuI)(6)(HPDQ)(2)(CHCl(3))(8) (complex 1), and a "LM(3)L + LM(3)" composite structure complex (Cu(NO(3))(2))(6)(HPDQ)(3) (complex 2) are formed, respectively.  相似文献

Three transition-metal coordination polymers with azide and/or carboxylate bridges have been synthesized from 4-(3-pyridyl)benzoic acid (4,3-Hpybz) and 4-(4-pyridyl)benzoic acid (4,4-Hpybz) and characterized by X-ray crystallography and magnetic measurements. Compound 1, [Cu(4,3-pybz)(N(3))](n), consists of 2D coordination networks in which the uniform chains with (μ-EO-N(3))(μ-COO) double bridges are cross-linked by the 4,3-pybz ligands. Compound 2, [Cu(2)(4,4-pybz)(3)(N(3))](n)·3nH(2)O, consists of 2-fold interpenetrated 3D coordination networks with the α-Po topology, in which the six-connected dinuclear motifs with mixed (μ-EO-N(3))(μ-COO)(2) (EO = end-on) triple bridges are linked by the 4,4-pybz spacers. Compound 3, [Mn(4,4-pybz)(N(3))(H(2)O)(2)](n), contains 2D manganese(II) coordination networks in which the chains with single μ-EE-N(3) bridges (EE = end-to-end) are interlinked by the 4,4-pybz ligands, and the structure also features a 2D hydrogen-bonded network in which Mn(II) ions are linked by double triatomic bridges, (μ-EE-N(3))(O-H···N) and (O-H···O)(2). Magnetic studies indicated that the mixed azide and carboxylate bridges in 1 and 2 induce ferromagnetic coupling between Cu(II) ions and that 3 features antiferromagnetic coupling through the EE-azide bridge. In addition, compound 1 exhibits antiferromagnetic ordering below 6.2 K and behaves as a field-induced metamagnet. A magnetostructural survey indicates a general trend that the ferromagnetic coupling through the mixed bridges decreases as the Cu-N-Cu angle increases.  相似文献

Several new Cu(II) derivatives of the 1,3-bis(dimethylamino)-2-propanolato (bdmap) ligand with formula [Cu(2)(bdmap)(acac)(NH(3))(3)(MeOH)](ClO(4))(2), [Cu(2)(bdmap)(NO(2))(3)(H(2)O)](4) and [Cu(2)(bdmap)(OH)(ox)(0.5)(H(2)O)(2)](n)(ClO(4))(n)xnH(2)O were synthesized and characterized both structurally and magnetically. Dinuclear compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c, octanuclear compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 and the 1-D alternating system crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2/n. Magnetic analysis indicates strong antiferromagnetic coupling for all derivatives, mainly due to the interaction through the alkoxo O-atom of the bdmap ligand. The effect on the magnetic behaviour of the additional bridging ligands is analysed.  相似文献

Reactions between 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol (DFMF) and tris(hydroxymethyl) aminomethane (THMAM = H(3)L2) in the presence of copper(II) salts, CuX(2) (X = CH(3)CO(2)(-), BF(4)(-), ClO(4)(-), Cl(-), NO(3)(-)) and Ni(CH(3)CO(2))(2) or Ni(ClO(4))(2)/NaC(6)H(5)CO(2), sodium azide (NaN(3)), and triethylamine (TEA), in one pot self-assemble giving a coordination polymer consisting of repeating pentanuclear copper(II) clusters {[Cu(2)(H(5)L(2-))(μ-N(3))](2)[Cu(N(3))(4)]·2CH(3)OH}(n) (1) and hexanuclear Ni(II) complexes [Ni(6)(H(3)L1(-))(2)(HL2(2-))(2)(μ-N(3))(4)(CH(3)CO(2))(2)]·6C(3)H(7)NO·C(2)H(5)OH (2) and [Ni(6)(H(3)L1(-))(2)(HL2(2-))(2)(μ-N(3))(4)(C(6)H(5)CO(2))(2)]·3C(3)H(7)NO·3H(2)O·CH(3)OH (3). In 1, H(5)L(2-) and in 2 and 3 H(3)L1(-) and HL2(2-) represent doubly deprotonated, singly deprotonated, and doubly deprotonated Schiff-base ligands H(7)L and H(4)L1 and a tripodal ligand H(3)L2, respectively. 1 has a novel double-stranded ladder-like structure in which [Cu(N(3))(4)](2-) anions link single chains comprised of dinuclear cationic subunits [Cu(2)(H(5)L(2-))(μ-N(3))](+), forming a 3D structure of interconnected ladders through H bonding. Nickel(II) clusters 2 and 3 have very similar neutral hexanuclear cores in which six nickel(II) ions are bonded to two H(4)L1, two H(3)L2, four μ-azido, and two μ-CH(3)CO(2)(-)/μ-C(6)H(5)CO(2)(-) ligands. In each structure two terminal dinickel (Ni(2)) units are connected to the central dinickel unit through four doubly bridging end-on (EO) μ-azido and four triply bridging μ(3)-methoxy bridges organizing into hexanuclear units. In each terminal dinuclear unit two nickel centers are bridged through one μ-phenolate oxygen from H(3)L1(-), one μ(3)-methoxy oxygen from HL2(2-), and one μ-CH(3)CO(2)(-) (2)/μ-C(6)H(5)CO(2)(-) (3) ion. Bulk magnetization measurements on 1 show moderately strong antiferromagnetic coupling within the [Cu(2)] building block (J(1) = -113.5 cm(-1)). Bulk magnetization measurements on 2 and 3 demonstrate that the magnetic interactions are completely dominated by ferromagnetic coupling occurring between Ni(II) ions for all bridges with coupling constants (J(1), J(2), and J(3)) ranging from 2.10 to 14.56 cm(-1) (in the ? = -J(1)(?(1)?(2)) - J(1)(?(2)?(3)) - J(2)(?(3)?(4)) - J(1)(?(4)?(5)) - J(1)(?(5)?(6)) - J(2)(?(1)?(6)) - J(3)(?(2)?(6)) - J(3)(?(2)?(5)) - J(3)(?(3)?(5)) convention).  相似文献

Hydrothermal reaction of Cu(NO(3))(2).3H(2)O, Cd(OH)(2) or Zn(OH)(2) with benzene-1,2,3-tricarboxylic acid (H(3)btb, hemimellitic acid) produced the 2D coordination polymer (MOF) [Cu(2)(mu(5)-btb)(mu-OH)(mu-H(2)O)] () and the 2D hydrogen-bonded complexes [Cd(H(2)btb)(2)(H(2)O)(4)].2H(2)O () and [Zn(H(2)O)(6)](H(2)btb)(2).4H(2)O () which are characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, X-ray powder diffraction and thermoanalysis. Magnetic susceptibility measurements between 1.9-300 K for revealed three magnetic active exchange pathways that link the copper(ii) ions through a long mu-aqua bridge, an anti-syn carboxylate bridge [j(2) = 0.161(1) cm(-1)], and through a mixed mu-hydroxo + syn-syn carboxylate bridge [J = 83(1) cm(-1)]. At temperatures higher than 30 K the system behaves as isolated Cu(2) units with strong ferromagnetic Cu-Cu coupling through the mu-hydroxo and syn-syn carboxylate bridge. The strong ferromagnetic coupling is explained with Hoffmann's approach by means of the concept of counter-complementarity introduced by Nishida et al.[Chem. Lett., 1983, 1815-1818].  相似文献

Polymeric transition metal chalcogenides have attracted much attention because of their possible unusual properties directly derived from their extended structures. The molecules n-cyanopyridine (n = 2, 3, and 4) and pyridine-3,4-dicarbonitrile are found to function as bidentate or monodentate (only pyridine nitrogen donor atom) ligands in the coordination of silver(I) and copper(I) ions, respectively. The mode of coordination depends on the anion and the crystallization conditions and has been elucidated in all cases by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. We report here the syntheses, structural characterization, and electrical properties of six new polymers, [Ag(2)(2-cyanopyridine)(2)(NO(3))(2)](n)(1), [Ag(4)(3-cyanopyridine)(8)(SiF(6))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](n) (2), [Ag(3-cyanopyridine)(2)(NO(3))](n)(3), [Ag(pyridine-3,4-dicarbonitrile)(2)(NO(3))](n)(4), [Cu(I)(4-cyanopyridine)(2)(SCN)](n)(5), and [Cu(I)(pyridine-3,4-dicarbonitrile)(2)(SCN)](n)(6). Compounds 1 and 2 exhibit novel two-dimensional networks, while 3-6 have one-dimensional chain structures, in which 3 is a single-stranded helix. Room-temperature conductivities of 1, 2, 4, and 6 have been measured and are 3.1 x 10(-)(7), 2.7 x 10(-)(7), 7.4 x 10(-)(6), and 4.3 x 10(-)(5) S.cm(-)(1), respectively. The effect of temperature on the conductivities has been investigated.  相似文献

Four new binuclear Mn(III) complexes with carboxylate bridges have been synthesized: [[Mn(nn)(H(2)O)](2)(mu-ClCH(2)COO)(2)(mu-O)](ClO(4))(2) with nn = bpy (1) or phen (2) and [[Mn(bpy)(H(2)O)](2)(mu-RCOO)(2)(mu-O)](NO(3))(2) with RCOO = ClCH(2)COO (3) or CH(3)COO (4). The characterization by X-ray diffraction (1 and 3) and X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) (1-4) displays the relevance of this spectroscopy to the elucidation of the structural environment of the manganese ions in this kind of compound. Magnetic susceptibility data show an antiferromagnetic coupling for all the compounds: J = -2.89 cm(-1) (for 1), -8.16 cm(-1) (for 2), -0.68 cm(-1) (for 3), and -2.34 cm(-1) (for 4). Compounds 1 and 3 have the same cation complex [[Mn(bpy)(H(2)O)](2)(mu-ClCH(2)COO)(2)(mu-O)](2+), but, while 1 shows an antiferromagnetic coupling, for 3 the magnetic interaction between Mn(III) ions is very weak. The four compounds show catalase activity, and when the reaction stopped, Mn(II) compounds with different nuclearity could be obtained: binuclear [[Mn(phen)(2)](mu-ClCH(2)COO)(2)](ClO(4))(2), trinuclear [Mn(3)(bpy)(2)(mu-ClCH(2)COO)(6)], or mononuclear complexes without carboxylate. Two Mn(II) compounds without carboxylate have been characterized by X-ray diffraction: [Mn(NO(3))(2)(bpy)(2)][Mn(NO(3))(bpy)(2)(H(2)O)]NO(3) (5) and [Mn(bpy)(3)](ClO(4))(2).0.5 C(6)H(4)-1,2-(COOEt)(2).0.5H(2)O (8).  相似文献

The Cu(SO(3))(4)(7-) anion, which consists of a tetrahedrally coordinated Cu(I) centre coordinated to four sulfur atoms, is able to act as a multidentate ligand in discrete and infinite supramolecular species. The slow oxidation of an aqueous solution of Na(7)Cu(SO(3))(4) yields a mixed oxidation state, 2D network of composition Na(5){[Cu(II)(H(2)O)][Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)]}·6H(2)O. The addition of Cu(II) and 2,2'-bipyridine to an aqueous Na(7)Cu(SO(3))(4) solution leads to the formation of a pentanuclear complex of composition {[Cu(II)(H(2)O)(bipy)](4)[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)]}(+); a combination of hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking interactions leads to the generation of infinite parallel channels that are occupied by disordered nitrate anions and water molecules. A pair of Cu(SO(3))(4)(7-) anions each act as a tridentate ligand towards a single Mn(II) centre when Mn(II) ions are combined with an excess of Cu(SO(3))(4)(7-). An anionic pentanuclear complex of composition {[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)](2)[Fe(III)(H(2)O)](3)(O)} is formed when Fe(II) is added to a Cu(+)/SO(3)(2-) solution. Hydrated ferrous [Fe(H(2)O)(6)(2+)] and sodium ions act as counterions for the complexes and are responsible for the formation of an extensive hydrogen bond network within the crystal. Magnetic susceptibility studies over the temperature range 2-300 K show that weak ferromagnetic coupling occurs within the Cu(II) containing chains of Na(5){[Cu(II)(H(2)O)][Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)]}·6H(2)O, while zero coupling exists in the pentanuclear cluster {[Cu(II)(H(2)O)(bipy)](4)[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)]}(NO(3))·H(2)O. Weak Mn(II)-O-S-O-Mn(II) antiferromagnetic coupling occurs in Na(H(2)O)(6){[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)][Mn(II)(H(2)O)(2)](3)}, the latter formed when Mn was in excess during synthesis. The compound, Na(3)(H(2)O)(6)[Fe(II)(H(2)O)(6)](2){[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)](2)[Fe(III)(H(2)O)](3)(O)}·H(2)O, contained trace magnetic impurities that affected the expected magnetic behaviour.  相似文献

Four succinato-bridged complexes of copper(II) have been synthesized. Complex 1, [Cu(2)(mu-OH(2))(2)L(bpy)(2)(NO(3))(2)](n) and 2, [Cu(2)(mu-OH(2))(2)L(phen)(2)(NO(3))(2)](n)(bpy = 2,2[prime or minute]-bipyridine; phen = 1,10-phenanthroline and LH(2)= succinic acid) exhibit 1D coordination polymer structures where both the nitrate ions are directly linked to the copper(ii) producing synthons in a 2D sheet. A novel 2D grid-like network, ([Cu(4)L(2)(bpy)(4)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(4)(H(2)O))n3, is obtained upon changing the nitrate by perchlorate anion in complex 1, where the channels are occupied by the anions. On changing the nitrate by tetrafluoroborate anion in complex 2, a novel octanuclear complex, [Cu(8)L(4)(phen)(12)](BF(4))(8).8H(2)O 4, is isolated. The coligand bpy and phen in these complexes show face-to-face (in 1,2,3,4) or edge-to-face (in 4 )pi-pi interactions forming the multidimensional supramolecular architectures. Interestingly, the appearance of edge-to-face pi-pi interactions in complex facilitates the formation of discrete octanuclear entities. Variable-temperature (300-2 K) magnetic measurements of complexes have been done. Complexes 1 and 2 show very weak antiferromagnetic (OOC-CH(2)-CH(2)-COO) and ferromagnetic coupling (mu-H(2)O). Complex 3 also shows antiferromagnetic (syn-syn mu-OCO), and ferromagnetic coupling (mu-O of the -COO group). Complex 4 with two types (syn-syn and syn-anti) of binding modes of the carboxylate group shows strong antiferromagnetic interaction.  相似文献

Metal complexation studies were performed with the ditopic pyrimidine-hydrazone (pym-hyz) strand 6-hydroxymethylpyridine-2-carboxaldehyde (2-methyl-pyrimidine-4,6-diyl)bis(1-methylhydrazone) (1) and Pb(ClO(4))(2)·3H(2)O, Pb(SO(3)CF(3))(2)·H(2)O, Zn(SO(3)CF(3))(2), and Zn(BF(4))(2) to examine the ability of 1 to form various supramolecular architectures. X-ray crystallographic and NMR studies showed that coordination of the Pb(II) salts with 1 on a 2:1 metal/ligand ratio in CH(3)CN and CH(3)NO(2) resulted in the linear complexes [Pb(2)1(ClO(4))(4)] (2), [Pb(2)1(ClO(4))(3)(H(2)O)]ClO(4) (3), and [Pb(2)1(SO(3)CF(3))(3)(H(2)O)]SO(3)CF(3) (4). Two unusually distorted [2 × 2] grid complexes, [Pb1(ClO(4))](4)(ClO(4))(4) (5) and [Pb1(ClO(4))](4)(ClO(4))(4)·4CH(3)NO(2) (6), were formed by reacting Pb(ClO(4))(2)·6H(2)O and 1 on a 1:1 metal/ligand ratio in CH(3)CN and CH(3)NO(2). These grids formed despite coordination of the hydroxymethyl arms due to the large, flexible coordination sphere of the Pb(II) ions. A [2 × 2] grid complex was formed in solution by reacting Pb(SO(3)CF(3))(2)·H(2)O and 1 on a 1:1 metal/ligand ratio in CH(3)CN as shown by (1)H NMR, microanalysis, and ESMS. Reacting the Zn(II) salts with 1 on a 2:1 metal/ligand ratio gave the linear complexes [Zn(2)1(H(2)O)(4)](SO(3)CF(3))(4)·C(2)H(5)O (7) and [Zn(2)1(BF(4))(H(2)O)(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(3)·H(2)O (8). (1)H NMR studies showed the Zn(II) and Pb(II) ions in these linear complexes were labile undergoing metal ion exchange. All of the complexes exhibited pym-hyz linkages in their cisoid conformation and binding between the hydroxymethyl arms and the metal ions. No complexes were isolated from reacting either of the Zn(II) salts with 1 on a 1:1 metal/ligand ratio, due to the smaller size of the Zn(II) coordination sphere as compared to the much larger Pb(II) ions.  相似文献

The reactions of 3,6-di-2-pyridyl-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (DPTZ) with different Cu(II) salts generate two new ligands, 2,5-bis(2-pyridyl)-1,3,4-oxodiazole (L(1)) and N,N'-bis(alpha-hydroxyl-2-pyridyl)ketazine (H(2)L(2)), from the metal-assisted hydrolysis of DPTZ, and form three new complexes: a mononuclear complex [Cu(L(1))(2)(H(2)O)(2)] .2ClO(4) (1), a linear coordination polymer [Cu(L(1))(NO(3))(2)](8) (2), and a cyclic tetranuclear complex [Cu(4)(L(2))(2)(Im)(2)(NO(3))(4)(H(2)O)(2)] (3) (Im = imidazole). Crystal data for 1: space group P2(1)/n with a = 10.339(3) A, b = 10.974(2) A, c = 13.618(4) A, beta = 103.24(1) degrees, and Z = 2. Crystal data for 2: space group C2/c with a = 13.9299(14) A, b = 9.2275(9) A, c = 12.1865(13) A, beta = 111.248(2) degrees, and Z = 4. Crystal data for 3: space group P2(1)/n with a = 9.3422(14) A, b = 15.987(2) A, c = 13.963(2) A, beta = 108.587(3) degrees, and Z = 2. L(1) acts as a bidentate chelating ligand in 1 and as a bis-bidentate chelating ligand in 2 with the shortest intramolecular Cu...Cu distance of 6.093 A. L(2) is a hexadentate ligand to bridge four Cu(II) ions, forming an interesting neutral cyclic tetranuclear complex 3 with Cu...Cu distances varying from 4.484 to 9.370 A. The mechanism of the metal assisted hydrolysis of DPTZ is discussed in detail. Magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate that 2 shows weak ferromagnetic interaction (J = 2.85 cm(-1)) along the 1-D helical chain, and that 3 displays weak antiferromagnetic interaction (J = -1.19 cm(-1) for the N-N bridge) and ferromagnetic interaction (j = 0.11 cm(-1) for the O-C=N bridge) between the adjacent Cu(II) ions.  相似文献

The syntheses, crystal structures and magnetic properties are described for two novel 2D heterometallic Cu(II)-Sr(II) coordination polymers {Sr(H(2)O)(6)[(Im)(4)Cu(4)(pdc)(4)Sr(H(2)O)(4)]·6H(2)O}(n) (1) and [Cu(2)(H(2)O)(2)(pdc)(2)Sr(H(2)O)(3)](n) (2) (H(3)pdc = 3,5-pyrazoledicarboxylic acid; Im = imidazole). The 1 : 1 : 1 : 5 reaction of SrCl(2)·6H(2)O, Cu(NO(3))(2)·3H(2)O, H(3)pdc and imidazole in H(2)O-EtOH at 120 °C under autogenous pressure gave 1. Complex 2 was obtained from the 1 : 1 : 1 H(3)pdc/Sr(OH)(2)·8H(2)O/Cu(NO(3))(2)·3H(2)O reaction mixture in H(2)O-EtOH under solvothermal conditions. Complex 1 can be described as a 2D grid-shaped network with the four Cu(II) ions in a saddle-like conformation. In complex 2, Sr(II) ions link metalloligands [Cu(2)(pdc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2-) to generate a 2D layer framework. Variable-temperature solid-state dc magnetic susceptibility studies have been performed in the temperature range 2.0-300 K for complexes 1 and 2. Antiferromagnetic Cu(II)···Cu(II) exchange interactions were found for both 1 and 2.  相似文献

The structures and magnetic properties of self-assembled copper(II) clusters and grids with the "tritopic" ligands 2poap (a), Cl2poap (b), m2poap (c), Cl2pomp (d), and 2pomp (e) are described [ligands derived by reaction of 4-R-2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic hydrazide (R = H, Cl, MeO) with 2-pyridinemethylimidate (a-c, respectively) or 2-acetylpyridine (d, R = Cl; e, R = H)]. Cl2poap and Cl2pomp self-assemble with Cu(NO(3))(2) to form octanuclear "pinwheel" cluster complexes [Cu(8)(Cl2poap-2H)(4)(NO(3))(8)].20H(2)O (1) and [Cu(8)(Cl2pomp-2H)(4)(NO(3))(8)].15H(2)O (2), built on a square [2 x 2] grid with four pendant copper arms, using "mild" reaction conditions. Similar reactions of Cl2pomp and 2pomp with Cu(ClO(4))(2) produce pinwheel clusters [Cu(8)(Cl2pomp-2H)(4)(H(2)O)(8)](ClO(4))(8).7H(2)O (3) and [Cu(8)(2pomp-2H)(4)(H(2)O)(8)](ClO(4))(8) (4), respectively. Heating a solution of 1 in MeOH/H(2)O produces a [3 x 3] nonanuclear square grid complex, [Cu(9)(Cl2poap-H)(3)(Cl2poap-2H)(3)](NO(3))(9).18H(2)O (5), which is also produced by direct reaction of the ligand and metal salt under similar conditions. Reaction of m2poap with Cu(NO(3))(2) produces only the [3 x 3] grid [Cu(9)(m2poap-H)(2)(m2poap-2H)(4)](NO(3))(8).17H(2)O (6) under similar conditions. Mixing the tritopic ligand 2poap with pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (picd) in the presence of Cu(NO(3))(2) produces a remarkable mixed ligand, nonanuclear grid complex [Cu(9)(2poap-H)(4)(picd-H)(3)(picd-2H)](NO(3))(9).9H(2)O (7), in which aromatic pi-stacking interactions are important in stabilizing the structure. Complexes 1-3 and 5-7 involve single oxygen atom (alkoxide) bridging connections between adjacent copper centers, while complex 4 has an unprecedented mixed micro-(N-N) and micro-O metal ion connectivity. Tridentate Schiff-base carboxylate-containing ligands, derived from the condensation of 2-imidazolecarboxaldehyde with the amino acids beta-alanine (H2L1) and 2-aminobenzoic acid (H2L5) and the condensation of 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde with beta-alanine (HL2), D,L-3-aminobutyric acid (HL3), and 4-aminobutyric acid (HL4), react with copper(II) perchlorate to give rise to the helical-chain complexes [[Cu(mu-HL1)(H2O)](ClO4)]n (1), [[Cu(mu-L2)(H2O)](ClO4).2H2O]n (2), and [[Cu(mu-L3)(H2O)](ClO4).2H2O]n (3), the tetranuclear complex [[Cu(mu-L4)(H2O)](ClO4)]4 (4), and the mononuclear complex [Cu(HL5)(H2O)](ClO4).1/2H2O (5). The reaction of copper(II) chloride with H2L1 leads not to a syn-anti carboxylate-bridged compound but to the chloride-bridged dinuclear complex [Cu(HL1)(mu-Cl)]2 (6). The structures of these complexes have been solved by X-ray crystallography. In complexes 1-4, roughly square-pyramidal copper(II) ions are sequentially bridged by syn-anti carboxylate groups. Copper(II) ions exhibit CuN2O3 coordination environments with the three donor atoms of the ligand and one oxygen atom belonging to the carboxylate group of an adjacent molecule occupying the basal positions and an oxygen atom (from a water molecule in the case of compounds 1-3 and from a perchlorate anion in 4) coordinated in the apical position. Therefore, carboxylate groups are mutually cis oriented and each syn-anti carboxylate group bridges two copper(II) ions in basal-basal positions with Cu...Cu distances ranging from 4.541 A for 4 to 5.186 A for 2. In complex 5, the water molecule occupies an equatorial position in the distorted octahedral environment of the copper(II) ion and the Cu-O carboxylate distances in axial positions are very large (>2.78 A). Therefore, this complex can be considered as mononuclear. Complex 6 exhibits a dinuclear parallel planar structure with Ci symmetry. Copper(II) ions display a square-pyramidal coordination geometry (tau = 0.06) for the N2OCl2 donor set, where the basal coordination sites are occupied by one of the bridging chlorine atoms and the three donor atoms of the tridentate ligand and the apical site is occupied by the remaining bridging chlorine atom. Magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate that complexes 1-4 exhibit weak ferromagnetic interactions whereas a weak antiferromagnetic coupling has been established for 6. The magnetic behavior can be satisfactorily explained on the basis of the structural data for these and related complexes.  相似文献

A novel heterometallic supramolecular network [[Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)].micro(2)-OCMe(2).[Cu(4)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)]](2)( infinity ) has been prepared by codeposition of the volatile mono(acetone) adduct [Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4).eta(1)-OCMe(2)](2) and copper(I) trifluoroacetate, [Cu(4)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)]. The product is of interest from the viewpoints of gas-phase supramolecular synthesis and a rare bridging coordination mode of acetone. It has been fully characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and X-ray diffraction. An X-ray structure revealed a layered 2D arrangement of the heterometallic [[Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)].micro(2)-OCMe(2).[Cu(4)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)]] units built by axial intermolecular interactions of the open electrophilic Rh(II) and Cu(I) centers and O-atoms of neighboring carboxylate groups. The coordination of the acetone molecules within the [[Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)].micro(2)-OCMe(2).[Cu(4)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)]] unit is asymmetric with the Rh-O and Cu-O distances being 2.2173(15) and 2.7197(17) A, respectively. This work shows the potential of gas-phase deposition that may provide additional possibilities in supramolecular synthesis by utilizing intermolecular interactions and coordination bonds in a new way compared with conventional solution chemistry.  相似文献

A novel 3-D coordination polymer with trimeric copper (I) unit, [Cu(3)(CN)(IN)(2)](n)(IN = isonicotinate), was hydrothermally synthesized by the reaction of Cu(NO(3))(2).3H(2)O with isonicotinic and terephthalic acids. The structure was characterized to be a twofold interpenetrated 3-D coordination network polymer with two-coordinated copper(I). It has a powder SHG efficiency about that of KDP.  相似文献

Five new coordination polymers based on a new 2,2'-bipyridine derived ligand N,N'-bis(pyridin-4-yl)-2,2'-bipyridine-5,5'-dicarboxamide (=L) are reported herein. Isostructural three-dimensional coordination polymers with a rare (4,6)-connected network of {4(4).6(2)}(3){4(6).8(9)}(2) topology were synthesised from Cu(NO(3))(2), Zn(NO(3))(2) or a mixture of Cu(NO(3))(2)/Fe(BF(4))(2) with L in complexes {[Cu(5)L(6)]·(NO(3))(10)·(H(2)O)(18)}(∞) (1), {[Zn(5)L(6)]·(NO(3))(10)·(H(2)O)(18)}(∞) (2) and {[Fe(x)Cu(y)L(6)]·(NO(3))(10)·(H(2)O)(18)}(∞) (3; where x+y=5). Complexes with two-dimensional grid structures resulted from treatment with CoCl(2) or Cd(NO(3))(2) with L in complexes {[CoLCl(2)]·DMF}(∞) (4) and {CdL(NO(3))(2)}(∞) (5).  相似文献

A series of chiral M(6)M'(8) cluster compounds having twelve free carboxylate groups, [M(6)M'(8)(D-pen-N,S)(12)X](5-) (M/M'/X = Pd(II)/Ag(I)/Cl(-) ([1](5-)), Pd(II)/Ag(I)/Br(-) ([2](5-)), Pd(II)/Ag(I)/I(-) ([3](5-)), Ni(II)/Ag(I)/Cl(-) ([4](5-)), Pt(II)/Ag(I)/Cl(-) ([5](5-)), Pd(II)/Cu(I)/Cl(-) ([6](5-)); D-H(2)pen = D-penicillamine), in which six cis-[M(D-pen-N,S)(2)](2-) square-planar units are bound to a [M'(8)X](7+) cubic core through sulfur-bridges, was synthesized by the reactions of cis-[M(D-pen-N,S)(2)](2-) with M' in water in the presence of halide ions. These M(6)M'(8) clusters readily reacted with La(3+) in aqueous buffer to form La(III)(2)M(6)M'(8) heterotrimetallic compounds, La(2)[1](CH(3)COO), La(2)[2](CH(3)COO), La(2)[3](CH(3)COO), La(2)[4](CH(3)COO), La(2)[5](CH(3)COO) and La(2)[6]Cl, in which the M(6)M'(8) cluster units are linked by La(3+) ions through carboxylate groups in a 1?:?2 ratio. While the La(III)(2)M(6)Ag(I)(8) compounds derived from [1](5-), [2](5-), [3](5-), [4](5-) and [5](5-) have a 1D helix supramolecular structure with a right-handedness, the La(III)(2)Pd(II)(6)Cu(I)(8) compound derived from [6](5-) has a 2D sheet-like structure with a triangular grid of the Pd(II)(6)Cu(I)(8) cluster units. When aqueous HCl was added to the reaction solution of [6](5-) and La(3+), another La(III)(2)Pd(II)(6)Cu(I)(8) heterotrimetallic compound, La(2)[6]Cl·HCl, in which the Pd(II)(6)Cu(I)(8) cluster units are linked by La(3+) ions to form a 2D structure with a rectangular grid, was produced. The solid-state structures of these La(III)(2)M(6)M'(8) compounds, determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography, along with the spectroscopic properties of the M(6)M'(8) cluster compounds in solution, are described.  相似文献
