Three aromatic compounds (2-4) possessing a carbomethoxyl group or a dimethoxyphthaloyl group, prepared by the Diels-Alder reaction of the cardiac glycoside, proscillaridin (1), with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate and methyl propiolate, were transformed into alcohols, carboxylic acids and amides. The biological activities of the resulting derivatives were evaluated by the use of Na+, K(+)-adenosine triphosphatase (Na+,K(+)-ATPase) from dog kidney and isolated guinea-pig papillary muscle. Although the biological activities of the resulting derivatives were less potent than that of 1, a para-substituted benzylalcohol (5), methylbenzamides (9a and 10a), and ethylbenzamides (9b and 10b) inhibited the activity of Na+,K(+)-ATPase almost as potently as naturally occurring cardiac glycosides such as digoxin and digitoxin.  相似文献

The coordination reaction of Na+, K+, Rb+ and Cs+ with benzo- 15-crown-5, 18-crown-6 and the newly synthesized cyclic polyethers 2, 3-benzo-8, 15-dimethyl-18-crown-6, 2, 3-benzo-8, 11, 15-trimethyl-18-crown-6 in methanol at 25`C has been studied by conductometric titration. The stability constants for the 1:1 coordination compounds were calculated. The marked selectivity of 18-crown-6 toward alkali metal ions was not found in its methyl derivatives. The induction effect of the benzene ring and methyl group on polyether ring reduced the stability of the coordination compounds. In methanol, the stability sequence of te compounds of alkali metal ions with 18-crown-6 was K+>Rb+>Cs+>Na+, that of its dimethyl derivative was K+>Rb+>Na+>Cs+ and that of its trimethyl derivative was K+>Na+>Rb+>Cs+, that is, the methyl substituent had a weaker influence on the stability of Na+ compound than on that of Rb+ or Cs+ compound. In the range of concentration studied, decrease in equivalent conductance is in agreement with the prediction on the basis of the structure of the complexes. The above results may give a clue for modifying the structure of a crown ether for specified selectivity.  相似文献

Four calix[4]arene dibenzocrown ether compounds have been prepared and evaluated as Cs(+)-selective ligands in solvent polymeric membrane electrodes. The ionophores include 25,27-bis(1-propyloxy)calix[4]arene dibenzocrown-6 1, 25,27-bis(1-alkyloxy)calix[4]arene dibenzocrown-7s 2 and 3, and 25,27-bis(1-propyloxy)calix[4]arene dibenzocrown-8 4. For an ion-selective electrode (ISE) based on 1, the linear response concentration range is 1x10(-1) to 1x10(-6) M of Cs(+). Potentiometric selectivities of ISEs based on 1-4 for Cs(+) over other alkali metal cations, alkaline earth metal cations, and NH(4)(+) have been assessed. For 1-ISE, a remarkably high Cs(+)/Na(+) selectivity was observed, the selectivity coefficient (K(Cs,Na)(Pot)) being ca. 10(-5). As the size of crown ether ring is enlarged from crown-6 (1) to crown-7 (2 and 3) to crown-8 (4), the Cs(+) selectivity over other alkali metal cations, such as Na(+) and K(+), is reduced successively. Effects of membrane composition and pH in the aqueous solution upon the electrode properties are also discussed.  相似文献

A systematic study of cation-pi interactions between alkali metal ions and the cyclopentadienyl ring of ferrocene is presented. The alkali metal (Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+) salts of the ditopic mono(pyrazol-1-yl)borate ligand [1,1'-fc(BMe2pz)2]2- crystallize from dimethoxyethane as multiple-decker sandwich complexes with the M+ ions bound to the pi faces of the ferrocene cyclopentadienyl rings in an eta5 manner (fc = (C5H4)2Fe; pz = pyrazolyl). X-ray crystallography of the lithium complex reveals discrete trimetallic entities with each lithium ion being coordinated by only one cyclopentadienyl ring. The sodium salt forms polyanionic zigzag chains where each Na+ ion bridges the cyclopentadienyl rings of two ferrocene moieties. Linear columns [-CpR-Fe-CpR-M+-CpR-Fe-CpR-M+-](infinity) (R = [-BMe2pz]-) are established by the K+, Rb+, and Cs+ derivatives in the solid state. According to DFT calculations, the binding enthalpies of M+-eta5(ferrocene) model complexes are about 20% higher as compared to the corresponding M+-eta6(benzene) aggregates when M+ = Li+ or Na+. For K+ and Rb+, the degree of cation-pi interaction with both aromatics is about the same. The binding sequence along the M+-eta5(ferrocene) series follows a classical electrostatic trend with the smaller ions being more tightly bound.  相似文献

The preparation of a lead-selective electrode based on bis(1'-hydroxy-2'-acetonaphthone)-2,2'-diiminodiethylamine (L) as sensing material is reported. The plasticized PVC membrane containing 30% PVC, 67% ortho-nitrophenyloctylether (NPOE) and 3% ionophore L was directly coated on a graphite rod. This electrode exhibits a nearly Nernstian slope of 27.8+/-0.2 mV decade(-1) over a concentration range 10(-6)-10(-2) M with a detection limit of 4.0 x 10(-7) M. The response time of the electrode was found to be <20 s. The potential of the sensor was independent on pH variations in the range 5-7. The selectivity of the electrode towards lead ions over Na+, K+, Ag+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, La3+, Sm3+ and Er3+ ions was investigated. The prepared electrode was successfully used as an indicator for titration of a lead solution with a standard solution of EDTA. The applicability of the sensor for Pb2+ measurement in various synthetic and real samples has been also demonstrated.  相似文献

Ion-selective electrodes (ISEs) responsive to the antitussives dextromethorphan and dimemorfan were constructed by the fixation of an ion-exchanger, ammonium tetraphenylborate, on a Millipore membrane by means of a plasma-polymerization technique. The electrodes showed a Nernstian response over the range of 10(-5)-10(-2) M dextromethorphan and dimemorphan, and the working pH range was 5-7. The interference from common cations such as Na+, K+ and Ca2+ was negligible but some organic cations interfered weakly. The electrodes were applied successfully for the determination of the drugs in pharmaceutical preparations.  相似文献

A detailed study on the photophysical and complexing properties of calixarenes bearing two and four dansyl derivatives (Calix-DANS2 and Calix-DANS4) in a CH3CN/H2O mixture (60:40 v/v) is reported. Calix-DANS2 shows a high selectivity towards Hg2+ over interfering cations (Na+, K+, Ca2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Pb2+) and a sensitivity in the 10(-7) mol L(-1) concentration range. The complexation of mercury ion induces a strong fluorescence quenching due to a well-defined electron transfer process from the fluorophore to the metal center. Calix-DANS4 exhibits an extremely high affinity for Pb2+ with a high selectivity over various competing ions. The unprecedented detection limit (4 microg L(-1)) is fully compatible with the level defined by the World Health Organisation. The affinity of Calix-DANS4 for Pb2+ can be rationalized by the activation of the inert pair of electrons on Pb2+. The number of fluorophores involved in the complexation can be determined from a careful time-resolved fluorescence characterization.  相似文献

A new type of extractant, sym-dibenzo-16-crown-5-oxyhydroxamic acid (HL) is introduced. The extractions of UO22+, Na+, K+, Sr2+, Ba2+ and Br- were studied with HL in chloroform. The results obtained show that UO22+ can be quantitatively extracted at pH values above 5, whereas the extractions of K+, Na+, Sr2+, Ba2+ and Br- are negligible in the pH range of 2 - 7. The dependence of the distribution ratio of U(VI) on both the concentration of the HL and pH are linear, and they have the same slope of 2. This suggests that U(VI) appears to form a 1:2 complex with ligand. Uranium(VI) can be selectively separated and concentrated from interfering elements such as Na, K, Sr and Br by solvent extraction with HL under specific conditions. The recovery of uranium is nearly 100% and the radionudear purity of uranium is greater than 99.99%. Therefore, neutron activation analysis has greatly improved the sensitivity and accuracy for the detection of trace uranium from seawater.  相似文献

The preparation of a lead-selective electrode based on 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetrakis-(diphenylphosphinoylmethoxy)calix[4]arene (1) as an ionophore is reported. The plasticized PVC membrane containing 30% PVC, 57% ortho-nitrophenyloctylether (NPOE), 4% sodium tetraphenylborate (NaTPB) and 9% ionophore 1 was directly coated on a graphite electrode. It exhibits a nearly Nernstian slope of 28.0 +/- 0.2 mV decade(-1) over a concentration range of 1 x 10(-5) - 1 x 10(-2) mol dm(-3) with a detection limit of 1.4 x 10(-6) mol dm(-3). The response time of the electrode was found to be ca. 17 s. The potential of the sensor was independent of the pH variation in the range 3.5 - 5.0. The selectivity of the electrode performance towards lead ions over Th4+, La3+, Sm3+, Dy3+, Y3+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Cd2+, Mn2+, Zn2+, Ni2+, Co2+, NH4+ Ag+, Li+, Na+ and K+ ions was investigated. The prepared electrode was used successfully as an indicator electrode for a potentiometric titration of a lead solution using a standard solution of EDTA. The applicability of the sensor for Pb2+ measurements in various synthetic water samples spiked with lead nitrate was also checked.  相似文献

Threshold collision-induced dissociation techniques are employed to determine bond dissociation energies (BDEs) of mono- and bis-complexes of alkali metal cations, Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+, with indole, C8H7N. The primary and lowest energy dissociation pathway in all cases is endothermic loss of an intact indole ligand. Sequential loss of a second indole ligand is observed at elevated energies for the bis-complexes. Density functional theory calculations at the B3LYP/6-31G level of theory are used to determine the structures, vibrational frequencies, and rotational constants of these complexes. Theoretical BDEs are determined from single point energy calculations at the MP2(full)/6-311+G(2d,2p) level using the B3LYP/6-31G* geometries. The agreement between theory and experiment is very good for all complexes except Li+ (C8H7N), where theory underestimates the strength of the binding. The trends in the BDEs of these alkali metal cation-indole complexes are compared with the analogous benzene and naphthalene complexes to examine the influence of the extended pi network and heteroatom on the strength of the cation-pi interaction. The Na+ and K+ binding affinities of benzene, phenol, and indole are also compared to those of the aromatic amino acids, phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan to elucidate the factors that contribute to the binding in complexes to the aromatic amino acids. The nature of the binding and trends in the BDEs of cation-pi complexes between alkali metal cations and benzene, phenol, and indole are examined to help understand nature's preference for engaging tryptophan over phenylalanine and tyrosine in cation-pi interactions in biological systems.  相似文献

Variations in the hydrogen bond network of the Oxy-1.5 DNA guanine quadruplex have been monitored by trans-H-bond scalar couplings, (h2)J(N2N7), for Na(+)-, K(+)-, and NH(4)(+)-bound forms over a temperature range from 5 to 55 degrees C. The variations in (h2)J(N2N7) couplings exhibit an overall trend of Na(+) > K(+) > NH(4)(+) and correlate with the different cation positions and N2-H2...N7 H-bond lengths in the respective structures. A global weakening of the (h2)J(N2N7) couplings with increasing temperature for the three DNA quadruplex species is accompanied by a global increase of the acceptor (15)N7 chemical shifts. Above 35 degrees C, spectral heterogeneity indicates thermal denaturation for the Na(+)-bound form, whereas spectral homogeneity persists up to 55 degrees C for the K(+)- and NH(4)(+)-coordinated forms. The average relative change of the (h2)J(N2N7) couplings amounts to approximately 0.8 x 10(-3)/K and is thus considerably smaller than respective values reported for nucleic acid duplexes. The significantly higher thermal stability of H-bond geometries in the DNA quadruplexes can be rationalized by their cation coordination of the G-quartets and the extensive H-bond network between the four strands. A detailed analysis of individual (h2)J(N2N7) couplings reveals that the 5' strand end, comprising base pairs G1-G9* and G4*-G1, is the most thermolabile region of the DNA quadruplex in all three cation-bound forms.  相似文献

Thermodynamic quantities (log, K, H, and TS) for theinteractions of six azacrown ethers each bearing an 8-hydroxyquinoline (CHQ)side arm (1-6) with Na+, K+, Ba2+, and Cu2+ were determined by calorimetrictitration in methanol solution at 25°C. The results indicate that theseligands form stable complexes with the cations studied. Ligands 1 and 3 thathave CHQ attached through position 7 (next to the OH group) show highselectivity for Cu2+ (log K values of 8.12 and 9.44, respectively) over Na+,K+, and Ba2+ by more than four orders of magnitude. On the other hand,ligands 2 and 4 that have CHQ attached through position 2 (next to thequinoline nitrogen group) form more stable complexes with Na+, K+, and Ba2+,but less stable complexes with Cu2+, than ligands 1 and 3. All ligandsinteract more strongly with K+ than with Na+. The K+/Na+ selectivity forligands 4 and 5 is about 1.5 log K units. All complexation reactions displaynegative enthalpy changes. In most cases the entropy changes are alsonegative, indicating that formation of the complexes is enthalpy driven. 1HNMR spectral experiments demonstrate coordination of the cations by alldonor atoms of the ligands including those of the CHQ arm. In all cases, theOH signal is observed in the 1H NMR spectra, suggesting that thecomplexation with the cations does not involve deprotonation of the CHQgroups in the ligands.  相似文献

A PVC membrane incorporating p-tert-butyl calix[4]crown with imine units as an ionophore was prepared and used in an ion-selective electrode for the determination of mercury(II) ions. An electrode based on this ionophore showed a good potentiometric response for mercury(II) ions over a wide concentration range of 5.0 x 10(-5) - 1.0 x 10(-1) M with a near-Nernstian slope of 27.3 mV per decade. The detection limit of the electrode was 2.24 x 10(-5) M and the electrode worked well in the pH range of 1.3 - 4.0. The electrode showed a short response time of less than 20 s. The electrode also showed better selectivity for mercury(II) ions over many of the alkali (Na+, -1.69; K+, -1.54), alkaline-earth (Ca2+, -3.30; Ba2+, -3.32), and heavy metal ions (Co2+, -3.67; Ni2+, -3.43; Pb2+, -3.31; Fe3+, -1.82). Ag+ ion was found to be the strongest interfering ion. Also, sharp end points were obtained when the sensor was used as an indicator electrode for the potentiometric titration of mercury(II) ions with iodide and dichromate ions.  相似文献

A PVC membrane based on bis-pyridine tetramide macrocycle exhibits a good response for silver ion over a wide concentration range (1.0x10(-1)-4.0x10(-5) mol l(-1)). The electrode has a relatively fast response time and can be used for more than 5 months without observing any divergence. High selectivity for Ag(+) ions over that of Na(+), K(+), Ca(2+), Sr(2+), Pb(2+) and Hg(2+) have been observed.  相似文献

The effects of the medium ionic composition on the apparent equilibrium association constant (K) for the formation of a 1:1 inclusion complex between the guest methyl viologen (MV(2+)) and the host cucurbit[7]uril (CB7) were studied in aqueous solutions. The K values were found to decrease with increasing ionic strength, with more pronounced effects for solutions containing divalent Ca(2+) ions than for solutions containing monovalent Na(+) ions. The competing ion-dipole interactions between Ca(2+) or Na(+) and MV(2+) ions appear to be responsible for the remarkable modulation of the K values observed in this work.  相似文献

A plasticized Cr3+ ion sensor by incorporating 2,3,8,9-tetraphenyl-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododeca-1,3,7,9-tetraene (TTCT) ionophore exhibits a good potentiometric response for Cr3+ over a wide concentration range (1.0 x 10(-6)-1.0 x 10(-1) M) with a slope of 19.5 mV per decade. The sensor response is stable for at least three months. Good selectivity for Cr3+ in comparison with alkali, alkaline earth, transition and heavy metal ions, and minimal interference are caused by Li+, Na+, K+, Co2+, Hg2+, Ca2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ ions, which are known to interfere with other chromium membrane sensors. The TTCT-based electrode shows a fast response time (15 s), and can be used in aqueous solutions of pH 3-5.5. The proposed sensor was used for the potentiometric titration of Cr3+ with EDTA and for a direct potentiometric determination of Cr3+ content in environmental samples.  相似文献

A europium probe for the ratiometric detection of potassium in water is presented. This probe demonstrates high sensitivity, with an affinity for K(+) in the mM range, and high selectivity for K(+) over Na(+), Ca(2+), Mg(2+) and Li(+). The long luminescence lifetime of the probe and its large Stokes shift further enable accurate determination of the concentration of K(+) in complex aqueous media.  相似文献

The 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium (EMIM) cation was found to have constant mobility of 4.5 x 10(-4) cm2 V(-1) s(-1) over the pH range of 3 to 11. The electroosmotic flow of bare silica capillary was reversed by the covalently bonded room-temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) coating. With run buffer of 5 mM EMIM (pH 8.5), NH4+ in human urine was separated from the K+ matrix and was detected to be 0.37 +/- 0.012%. K+, Na+, Li+, Ca2+, Mg2+ and Ba2+ were baseline separated in RTIL-coated capillary with run buffer of 10 mM EMIMOH-acetic acid at pH 5, and the concentration of the above ions in a red wine were detected to be 907, 27.9, 0, 71.0, 83.4 and 31.1 microg/ml, respectively. The RTIL-coated capillary showed stable electroosmotic flow for at least 80 h in the run buffer.  相似文献

To investigate quantitatively the anion effect on the extraction-ability and -selectivity of benzo-18-crown-6 (B18C6) for alkali metal ions, the constants for overall extraction into various diluents having low dielectric constants (K(ex)) and aqueous ion-pair formation (K(MLA)) of B18C6-sodium and potassium perchlorate 1:1:1 complexes (MLA) were determined at 25 degrees C. The K(ex) value was analyzed by the four fundamental equilibrium constants. The K(MLA) values were determined by applying our established method to this perchlorate extraction system. The K(M(B18C6)A) value of the perchlorate is much larger for K(+) than for Na(+), and is much smaller than that of the picrate. The K(M(B18C6)A) value makes a minor contribution to the magnitude of K(ex) for the perchlorate system, but a major contribution to that for the picrate one. The distribution behavior of the B18C6 1:1:1 complexes with the alkali metal perchlorates follows the regular solution theory. For the diluent with a high dipole moment, however, the 1:1:1 complexes somewhat undergo the dipole-dipole interaction. B18C6 always shows very high extraction selectivity for KClO(4) over NaClO(4), which is determined mostly by the much greater log/(log K(MLA)) value for K(+) than for Na(+). The extraction-ability and -selectivity of B18C6 for Na(+) and K(+) ions with a perchlorate ion were compared with those with a picrate ion in terms of the fundamental equilibrium constants. The K(+) extraction-selectivity of B18C6 over Na(+) for the perchlorate system is superior to that for the picrate one, which is caused largely by the greater log/(log K(K(B18C6)A))-log/(log K(Na(B18C6)A)) value for the perchlorate than for the picrate. The perchlorate system is recommended for extraction separation of K(+) from Na(+).  相似文献
