Polypyrrole-polystyrene sulfonic acid (PPy-PSSA) composite films have been electrosynthesized in an aqueous solution of PSSA. The electro-active films exhibit cation exchange during the redox process. Infrared, Raman and energy-dispersive spectroscopic results demonstrated that the polyanion of PSS^- is co-deposited into the PPy matrix and couldn‘t be stripped from the film extensively by dedoping. The doping level together with dipolaron content of the PPy-PSSA composite film increases during electrochemical polymerization process. SEM images revealed that the composite film has smooth and compact morphology and AFM pictures suggested that PPy chains are possibly grown perpendicular to the electrode surface. TGA tests indicated that the composite films has much better thermal stability than that of pure PPy.Furthermore, electrochemical studies showed that the relaxation process at certain holding potential has great effect on the shape of the cyclic voltammetric curves of PPy-PSSA composite film. The composite film exhibits cation and anion exchange during the redox process after undergoing the relaxation step. It is more difficult for divalent anion to enter the polymer matrix than a univalent ion, and a large cation such as (CH3CH2CH2CH2)4N^ cannot be involved in the ion exchange process.  相似文献

High quality poly(5-cyanoindole) (P5CI) films were electrosynthesized by direct anodic oxidation of 5-cyanoindole on stainless steel sheet in the mixed electrolytes of boron trifluoride diethyl etherate (BFEE) and diethyl ether (EE) (by volume 1:1) + 0,05 mol L^-1 Bu4NBF4. The film formed can be peeled off the electrode into freestanding films, The addition of EE into BFEE can improve the solubility of monomer. P5CI films obtained from this medium showed excellent electrochemical behavior with conductivity of 10^-2 S cm^-1, Structural studies showed that the polymerization of 5-cyanoindole occurred at the 2,3 position. As-formed P5CI films were thoroughly soluble in strong polar organic solvent dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) while partly soluble in tetrahydrofuran (THF) or acetone. Fluorescence spectral studies indicated that P5CI was a good blue-ight emitter.  相似文献

The Raman spectra of poly(3-methylthiophene) (PMeT) films with different thicknesses, which have beenelectrochemically deposited on a flat stainless steel electrode surface by direct oxidation of 3-methylthiophene in borontrifluoride diethyl etherate (BFEE) at a constant applied potential of 1.38 V (versus SCE), have been investigated byexcitation with a 633-nm laser beam. The spectroscopic results demonstrated that the doping level of PMeT film wasincreasing during film growth. This finding was also confirmed by electrochemical examination. Moreover, the Raman bandsassigned to radical cations and dications in doped PMeT films were found approximately at 1420 and 1400 cm~(-1),respectively. Radical cations and dications coexist on the backbone of PMeT as conductive species and their concentrationsincrease with the increase of doping level. Successive cyclic voltammetry was proved to be an effective approach toimproving the doping level of as-grown thin compact PMeT film.  相似文献

Poly(phenylene vinylene) (PPV) film was synthesized via a soluble precursor poly-mer. Strong fluorescence at 500-600nm was observed in both precursor and PPV film.Room-temperature conductivity of PPV film doped with FeCl_3 depends on the eliminationtemperature, the concentration of FeCl_3 and doping time. The maximum conductivity ofdoped PPV at room-temperature can reach about 40 S·cm~(-1). The temperature depen-dence of conductivity was controlled by 1D-VRH (1 Dimension Variable Range Hopping)model with T_0 value of 3.9×10~3 K. Non-Ohmic conductivity resulting from Schottky effectwas observed and the value of converted voltage from Ohmic region into non-Ohmic regionat the current-voltage characteristic was found to be dependent upon the work function ofelectrodes.  相似文献

The copolymer poly(3-(4-fluorophenyl)thiophene-co-3-methylthiophene) was successfully prepared from mixtures of 3-(4-fluorophenyl)thiophene (FPT) and 3-methylthiophene (MET) via electrochemical oxidation in boron trifluoride diethyl etherate (BFEE) and its mixed electrolytes with acetonitrile (ACN). The influence of monomer concentration ratios on the copolymerization was investigated by using linear sweep voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry. The structure and morphology of these copolymer films were elucidated by UV-Vis, infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis, thermal analysis and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. The results showed that the molar ratio of FPT and MeT units, when copolymer was electrodeposited from feed ratio of FPT:MeT = 1:2, was about 1.08:1. In addition, the introduction of ACN into BFEE has little effect on the properties of as-formed copolymers.  相似文献
