We carried out a comprehensive study of structural, magnetic and electrotransport properties of as-deposited and annealed (Ni80Fe20)χAg(1−χ) heterogenous alloys prepared by sputtering. The NiFe atomic concentration was varied between 15% and 40%. These alloys consist of small magnetic particles (Ni80Fe20) embedded in a nonmagnetic matrix (Ag). The structures of these alloys were investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and high-resolution cross-section transmission electron microscopy. The magnetic measurements were made using SQUID magnetometry and ferromagnetic resonance. Magnetoresistance was measured with a conventional four-point probe between 1.5 K and room temperature in field range 0–6T. Three contributions to the magnetoresistance of these granular alloys have been clearly identified: the spin-valve (or giant) magnetoresistance as in multilayers, scattering on magnetic fluctuations (as in any ferromagnetic metal around its magnetic ordering temperature), and anisotropic magnetoresistance. These three contributions have their own dependences on the size of the magnetic particles, on the degree of intermixing between Ni80Fe20 and Ag, and on temperature. We discuss the different shapes and amplitudes of magnetoresistance versus Ni80Fe20 concentration or temperature and their evolution upon annealing in terms of the relative roles of these three contributions. The magnetoresistance in multilayers (current in-plane or perpendicular to the plane) and granular alloys are also compared.  相似文献

Materials from the Mn(0.5−x)CaxTi2(PO4)3 (0≤x≤0.50) solid solution were obtained by solid-state reaction in air at 1000 °C. Selected compositions were investigated by powder X-ray diffraction analysis, 31P nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and electrochemical lithium intercalation. The structure of all samples determined by Rietveld analysis is of the Nasicon type with the R space group. Mn2+/Ca2+ ions occupy only the M1 sites in the Ti2(PO4)3 framework. The divalent cations are ordered in one of two M1 sites, except for the Mn0.50Ti2(PO4)3 phase, where a small departure from the ideal order is observed by XRD and 31P MAS NMR. The electrochemical behaviour of Mn0.50Ti2(PO4)3 and Mn(0.5−x)CaxTi2(PO4)3 phases was characterised in Li cells. Two Li ions can be inserted without altering the Ti2(PO4)3 framework. In the 0≤y≤2 range, the OCV curves of Li//LiyMn0.50Ti2(PO4)3 cells show two main potential plateaus at 2.90 and 2.50–2.30 V. Comparison between the OCV curves of Li//Li(1+y)Ti2(PO4)3 and Li//LiyMn0.50Ti2(PO4)3 shows that the intercalation occurs first in the unoccupied M1 site of Mn0.50Ti2(PO4)3 at 2.90 V and then, for compositions y>0.50, at the M2 site (2.50–2.30 V voltage range). The effect of calcium substitution in Mn0.50Ti2(PO4)3 on the lithium intercalation is also discussed from a structural and kinetic viewpoint. In all systems, the lithium intercalation is associated with a redistribution of the divalent cation over all M1 sites. In the case of Mn0.50Ti2(PO4)3, the stability of Mn2+ either in an octahedral or tetrahedral environment facilitates cationic migration.  相似文献

Single crystals of Perovskite-type oxide BaPb1−xBixO3 are grown from BaCO3-PbO2-Bi2O3 solutions which are weighed in two kinds of mixing ratios: X/2 mol % BaCO3 − (100−X) mol % PbO2X/2 mol % Bi2O3 and (10+X/2) mol % BaCO3 − (90−X) mol % PbO2X/2 mol % Bi2O3 These room temperature crystal structures are examined by using an X-ray powder diffraction method. The crystals grown from X/2−(100−X)−X/2 mol % solutions are orthorhombic at room temperature, while the structures are tetragonal with crystals grown from relatively Ba rich and Pb poor ( (10+X/2)−(90−X)−X/2 mol % ) solutions. This result indicates that the difference in the mixing ratio of the initial materials brings about a drastic structural change. The orthorhombic and the tetragonal crystals of x0.25 exhibit superconducting transition at 10K and 12K, respectively. The transition temperature in the latter is 2K higher than the former. In the light of this result, some difference between orthorhombic and tetragonal crystals is considered to influence superconductivity in this system.  相似文献

The effect of Pr doping on structural properties and room temperature Raman spectroscopy measurements is investigated in manganites (Eu1−xPrx)0.6Sr0.4MnO3 (0≤x≤1.0) with fixed carrier concentration. The result of the Rietveld refinement of x-ray powder diffraction shows that these compounds crystallize in an orthorhombic distorted structure with a space group Pnma. It is evident that, with increasing Pr substitution, three types of orthorhombic structures can be distinguished. The phonon frequencies of the three main peaks, in room temperature Raman-scattering measurements, have been discussed together with their structural characteristics, such as bond-length, bond-angles, and the change of orthorhombic structure type. With the increase of Pr content, the mode at 491  cm−1 also shows a corresponding change. A step effect becomes evident, which seems to indicate the close dependence between the frequency shift of this mode and the change in crystal symmetry. This further supports the notion that the mode at 491  cm−1 is closely correlated with the Jahn–Teller distortion. Moreover, we have found that the lowest frequency peak (assigned as an A1g phonon mode) depends linearly on the tolerance factor t.  相似文献

The educed Gd atoms in the X-structure (Th6Mn23-type) of Gd(Fe1−xMnx)2 were magnetically investigated by comparing with Gd6(Fe1−yMny)23 whose structure is Th6Mn23-type. The magnetic properties of Gd(Fe1−xMnx)2 (0.4≤x≤0.7) were observed to be quite similar to those of Gd6(Fe1−yMny)23 (0.4≤y≤0.7).  相似文献

The magnetic properties of pseudobinary compounds Gd(Mn1−xNix)2 were studied to understand the type of magnetic interaction among the constituent atoms of the parent binary compound. The Arrott plot for GdMn2 indicates no spontaneous magnetization. The magnetization and the Curie temperature increase with increasing concentration of Ni on the Mn rich side. The collapse of the Mn moment makes the Gd moment dominant in magnetization with increasing Ni concentration.  相似文献

The thermogalvanic power (Seebeck coefficient) of O2- conducting δ-Bi2O3 and δ-(Bi2O3)1−x(Y2O3)x has been measured directly as a function of temperature and partial oxygen pressure in N2---O2 mixtures. The of δ-(Bi2O3)0.75(R2O3)0.25 with R = Tb---Lu was indirectly determined using an isothermal concentration cell technique. Except for pure δ-Bi2O3, the heat of transport is much smaller than the activation energy for O2- conduction for all materials. The vibrational freedom of O2− ions in all δ-stabilized materials is reflected in their IR spectra at room temperature. Two prototypes of a thermogalvanic PO2 meter were tested.  相似文献

The thermal expansion and low temperature and low temperature specific heat were measured for Y1−xScxMn2. The results are discussed in terms of spin fluctuations and compared with those of Y(Mn1−xAlx)2, which show al local moment character. It is revealed that Y1−xScxMn2 is a typical nearly antiferromagnet in which giant spin fluctuations are thermally excited.  相似文献

Ba2(In1 − xMx)2O5 − y / 2(OH)y‪□1 − y / 2 (y ≤ 2; M = Sc3+ 0 ≤ x < 0.5 and M = Y3+ 0 ≤ x < 0.35) compounds were prepared by reacting Ba2(In1 − xMx)2O5‪ phases with water vapor. This reaction is reversible. Analyses of the hydration process by TG and XRD studies show that the thermal stability of hydrated phases increases when x increases and that the incorporation of water is not a single-phase reaction inducing either a crystal system or space group modification. Fully hydrated (y = 2) and dehydrated (y = 0) samples have been stabilized at room temperature and characterized for all compositions. In wet air, all phases show a proton contribution to the total conductivity at temperatures between 350 and 600 °C. At a given temperature, proton conductivity increases with the substitution ratio and reaches at 350 °C, 5.4 10− 3 S cm− 1 for Ba2(In0.65Sc0.35)2O4.20.2(OH)1.6.  相似文献

The effect of oxygen isotope substitution on the transition temperature Tc of a superconducting (Nd1−xCex)2CuO4−δ system was studied, where the special synthetic method was taken to minimize ambiguous factors on the oxygen concentration and to guarantee the complete substitution of 16O by 18O. The isotope exponent in the relationship of Tc∝1/M was estimated to be less than 0.15 by magnetic susceptibility measurements.  相似文献

Electrical resistivity and thermoelectric power of Y(Mn1−xAlx2 and (Y1−xScx)Mn2 were measured from 2 to room temperature. Anomalous behavior of the thermoelectric power of YMn2 disappears rapidly with the increase of Al content in Y(Mn1−xAlx)2. Based upon spin fluctuations of the itinerant antiferromagnetism of the samples, the anomaly of the thermoelectric power is discussed.  相似文献

Typical weak itinerant ferromagnetism has been found in Sc(Co1−xAlx)2, which a magnetism and higher Curie temperatures. Magnetic for X = 0.10. Lu(Co1−yAly)2 also shows ferromagnetism with much larger moments anad higher Curie temperatures. Magnetic and nonmagnetic Co atoms coexist in 0.06 < y < 0.12.  相似文献

High field magnetization measurements have been performed to examine the existence of itinerant metamagnetism in exchange-enhanced systems related to YCo2 together with Fe1−x CoxSi. In the Y(CoxFex)2 system, the meta magnetism inherent in YCo2 has been observed in 0.04 x0.07. The transition is not as sharp as in the Y(Co1−xAlx)2 system. Other exchange-enhanced paramagnets Y(CoxCux)2 and Y1−xLaxCox2 and weakly itinerant ferromagnet Fe1−xCoxSi exhibit no metamagnetic transition up to 430 kOe.  相似文献

We have studied the superconducting properties of Nd(Ba1−xNdx)2Cu3O7−δ (Nd123, x ≈ 0.1) single crystals grown by the traveling-solvent floating-zone method under 0.1% O2 in Ar atmosphere. The enhancement of the magnetization with increasing field is observed in the hysteresis (M-H) loop in fields both parallel and perpendicular to the c-axis of the Nd123 single crystals as well as in the bulk crystals prepared by the oxygen-controlled-melt-growth (OCMG) method. The composition variation of Ba/Nd is observed in the matrix of Nd123 crystals by an analytical TEM equipped with a cold field-emission gun. It turns out that the enhancement is due to the field-induced pinning effect ascribed to the weak superconducting Nd---Ba substitution regions in the Nd123 matrix.  相似文献

AC losses of randomly oriented and oriented grained YBa2Cu3O7−x superconductors having different microstructures and silver content were studied at 77 K and frequency range between 0.5 Hz and 60 Hz. The measurements were made by an electrical technique applying an external sinusoidal magnetic field parallel to the longer axis of the specimen. In the randomly oriented samples, the results indicate that the addition of silver has no effect on the losses of the Y-123 superconductor. Unlike the behavior of the randomly oriented samples, the oriented material does not show grain decoupling and intergranular losses and its behavior is similar to that of conventional type II superconductors. The results also show that the oriented sample has a modest surface barrier against flux entry. In general, it is found that the critical state model can be used to describe the hysteretic dissipation of Y-123 superconductors, although some refinements need to be considered.  相似文献

Nuclear magnetic resonances of 59Co nuclei in (Mg1−xRx)Co2 (R = Y, Gd) compounds at 4.2 K have been observed for 0x1. By replacing Mg with R, the 59Co hyperfine field decreases or is nearly constant in the C14 range and increases in the C15 range. These results are explained by the difference of the contribution from R atoms.  相似文献

Firstly, the production of solid bulk specimens of the proton conductor Ba3Ca1.18Nb1.82O9 − gd (BCN18) of known water content up to [H.] = nH/nBa = 0.16 is described. Secondly, measuring the length change of such samples versus water content [H.] demonstrated that the sample lengths increased linearly with a slope of (Δl/l)/[H.] = (2.13 ±0.07) × 10−2. Thirdly, the density of bulk samples was found to decrease linearly with water content [H.]. This decrease was in good agreement with the above values derived from the length change. Fourthly, high temperature dilatometry showed that samples reach the thermodynamic solubility values in water vapor atmospheres only at temperatures above 700 °C. Two time scales were observed for the time-dependence of the elongation upon exposure to water vapor. A fast process occurred within minutes above 700 °C, a slow one took several hours. The fast one was identified as the chemical diffusion of the diffusion pair H. and Vo. which is required for the water uptake and loss of BCN18. The chemical diffusivity of water is described by the parameters D0 = (0.022 ± 0.002) cm2/s and ΔH* = (0.79 ± 0.05) eV.  相似文献

The so-called Biphase termination on α-Fe2O3 has been widely accepted to be a structure with a 40 Å unit supercell composed of coexisting islands of Fe1−xO and α-Fe2O3. Based on thermodynamic arguments and experimental evidence, including transmission electron diffraction, imaging, magnetic and spectroscopic information, it is found that the previously proposed structure model is inaccurate. The actual Biphase structure is instead a layered structure related to the reduction of α-Fe2O3 to Fe3O4. A model for the Biphase termination is proposed which does not contain islands of Fe1−xO but instead consists of bulk α-Fe2O3 and a Fe3O4-derived overlayer. The proposed model is consistent with all current and previously reported experimental findings.  相似文献

The appearance of ferromagnetism in Y(Co1−xAlx)2 is discussed in terms of a d band model. The approximate d bands for YCo2 and Y(Co1−x)2 are calculated and the decrease in the electronic energy due to magnetization of the spin of estimated. The energy decrease is the largest in YCo2, and it gradually decreases as the Al content increases, if the lattice constant is fixed, while this energy decrease increases if the lattice constant increases with increasing Al content. These results of calculations give a good account of the appearance of ferromagnetism in Y(Co1−xAlx)2 around x = 0.15. The ferromagnetism in Sc(CO1−xAlx)2 is also discussed, leading to the appearance of ferromagnetism between x = 0.15 and 0.30.  相似文献
