Effects of three organic solvents, viz. methyl cellosolve, acetonitrile, and formamide, on the micellization process of Gemini surfactant pentamethylene-1,5-bis(tetradecyldimethylammonium bromide) aqueous solutions, with the volume percentages of the organic solvents up to 50%, have been investigated conductometrically. The studies were made at different temperatures and the data were used to find out different micellization parameters. From the study, it was observed that, although an increment in the amount of the organic solvents delays the micellization, the increase in the critical micelle concentration (cmc) is comparatively less below 20%(v/v) showing the predominance of water character in the bulk phase at lower compositions of the organic solvents. Applying equilibrium model for micelle formation, various thermodynamic parameters were also calculated from the temperature dependence of the cmc values and the results show that the micellization process becomes less spontaneous as the volume % of the organic solvent increases in the system due to the action of water-organic solvent mixed media as better solvent than pure water (solvophobic effect) for the studied Gemini molecules.  相似文献

A novel bicaudate gemini surfactant was synthesized with anhydrous piperazine, chloride- bian, and 1-bromo dodecane as raw materials. Its structure was verified by infrared and 1H NMR. The surface active properties of the bicaudate gemini surfactant in water were measured at 55°C. Its critical micelle concentration (cmc) and γ cmc was 0.50 mmol · L?1 and 28.95 mN · m?1, respectively. Results indicate that there was not a remarkable difference in γcmc values between the synthesized bicaudate surfactant and conventional gemini surfactant N,N′–bis (dodecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide)-3-oxa-1,5-pentadiammonium. The sterilizing antimicrobial performance of the bicaudate gemini surfactant was examined. The bicaudate gemini surfactant show excellent inhibition against 18 types of bacteria compared with conventional monomeric surfactant and gemini surfactant at concentrations of 50 mg/L.  相似文献

For the purpose of studying the potential of a novel nonionic switchable surfactant, 11-ferrocenylundecyl polyoxyethylene ether (FPEG), applied to surfactant-enhanced remediation (SER), the surface properties and micelle solubilization behavior of FPEG were investigated with different inorganic salts. With the addition of inorganic salts (NaCl and CaCl2), the critical micelle concentration (CMC) of FPEG dropped from 15 to 12 and 8 mg·L?1, respectively, due to the salting-out effect on the alkyl chain. Thermodynamic parameters based on the CMCs indicated that micelle formation was an entropy-driven process. Dynamic light scattering measurements verified that these inorganic salts can decrease the hydrodynamic diameters (D h) of the micelles. Solubilization experiments with three typical polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) demonstrated that the system of FPEG with NaCl shows the highest solubilization ability, and the molar solubilization ratio and micelle–water partition coefficient (K m ) values follow the order pyrene > phenanthrene > acenaphthene. After oxidation, PAHs can be released from the micelles through breaking up of the micelles, and the cumulative release efficiency of pyrene, phenanthrene and acenaphthene are 31.2, 42.8 and 44.6 %; the order of release efficiency is opposite to that of the reduced form for solubilization abilities. All the results suggest that the ferrocene-containing, redox-active surfactant FPEG has the potential to be recycled in SER technology through electrochemistry approaches.  相似文献

用动态光散射技术在10~70℃温度范围内,通过测定胶团的平均流体力学半径随温度、盐浓度和联接基团长度的变化情况,研究联接基团为聚亚甲基链的阳离子季铵盐Gemini表面活性剂胶团在无机盐介质中的长大规律.实验结果表明,增加盐量、降低温度和减小联接基团的长度均使平均流体力学半径变大,Gemini表面活性剂胶团长大时是由球状转变为棒状.从实验测定的平流体力学半径求算了支配球-棒转变的平衡常数及热力学函数值,并用NNLS(non-negatively constrainedleast square)算法对胶团的粒径分布情况进行了分析.此外,对具有短联接基团的Gemini表面活性剂胶团长大所具有的独特性质进行了讨论.  相似文献

合成了一种Gemini阴离子表面活性剂,测定了其临界胶束浓度cmc和cmc时的表面张力γcmc,与传统的单基表面活性剂相比,其临界胶束浓度降低了一个数量级,具有突出的降低水的表面张力的效率;研究了该种Gemini表面活性剂的浓度对于胶束聚集数的影响,结果表明,随着浓度的增加,胶束聚集数出现了一个极大值,同时观察到液晶微相的生成.  相似文献

用射频介电谱方法研究了0.1-80 mmol·L-1浓度的十二烷基苯磺酸钠(SDBS)水溶液体系的介质弛豫行为. 测量发现频率接近107 Hz时, 在临界胶束浓度(CMC)附近出现显著的介电弛豫现象. 采用Cole-Cole函数拟合SDBS体系介电数据, 其拟合参数具有明显变化规律: 介电增量(△ε)随SDBS摩尔浓度(cs)的增加而增大, 表现为两种线性关系, 并在cs=36 mmol·L-1附近出现拐点; 特征弛豫时间(τ0)却在cs=45 mmol·L-1出现极小值. 利用胶束电模型分析了介电弛豫机制, 认为束缚Na+对离子数量和胶束体积变化是引起介电增量和特征弛豫时间变化的两个重要原因.  相似文献

A fascinating feature inherent to aqueous surfactant solutions is the phenomenon of self-organization: above a certain critical concentration (the critical micelle concentration, CMC) detergent molecules associate spontaneously to build up structural entities of colloidal dimensions called micelles. The architecture of these agglomerates is such that the interior contains the hydrophobic alkyl chain of the amphiphile while the hydrophilic head groups are located at the surface and are in contact with bulk water. In the case of ionic micelles the interface is charged giving rise to an electrical double layer and a potential difference of up to several hundred millivolts between the micellar pseudophase and water. Thus micellar systems are microheterogeneous in character: the electrostatic potential and polarity prevailing in the interior of the aggregate differ from those of the bulk aqueous phase. A particularly attractive aspect of photochemical studies in micellar systems is the possibility of organizing the reactants at a molecular level: by comparison of the data in micelles with similar data in homogeneous solution one can learn about the molecular details of a given reaction and establish which conditions favor one pathway or another. In simple surfactant systems differences in rate and efficiency of a reaction will often be controlled by local electrostatic potentials and the compartmentalization of the reagents within the surfactant aggregates. Through the latter effect the statistics of probe distribution over the micelles becomes important in controlling fast photochemical events. Functional micelles are distinguished by the fact that the surfactant molecule contains a group which itself participates in the photoprocess. These units are unique in that self-assembly often introduces striking cooperative effects.  相似文献

分别将Gemini型单体1,3-双(二甲基十四烷基溴化铵)-2-丙烯酰氧基丙烷(14G)或1,3-双(二甲基十六烷基溴化铵)-2-丙烯酰氧基丙烷(16G)与丙烯酰氧乙基三甲基氯化铵(DAC, D)共聚合反应, 合成了新型含Gemini表面活性剂结构单元的两亲性阳离子聚电解质(D14G和D16G). 采用稳态荧光、电导、动态光散射及透射电镜等手段研究了这些聚电解质在水溶液中的聚集行为. 结果表明, 临界聚集浓度(CAC)随着Gemini型表面活性剂单元含量的增加而减小, 同时随着Gemini型表面活性剂单元中疏水碳链长度的增加而降低. 这些聚电解质在水溶液中同时存在分子内和分子间两种类型的聚集体, 而且碳链越长, 形成分子内聚集体的倾向越强. 随着Gemini表面活性剂单元含量的增加, D14G溶液中聚集体的流体动力学半径(Rh)也有所增大, 而D16G溶液中的聚集体的流体动力学半径(Rh) 却略有减小.  相似文献

报道了水溶性铑膦配合物组成的复合催化体系催化1-十二烯氢甲酰化反应中,双子表面活性剂[二溴化-(N,N,N′,N′-四甲基)-N,N′-二(十六烷基)-乙二铵]形成胶束的助催化作用.结果表明,在水/有机两相中,双子表面活性剂比单链表面活性剂CTAB具有更好加速催化反应的作用,并使烯烃氢甲酰化的区域选择性显著提高.这归因于双子表面活性剂有较低的cmc,可形成更加紧密规整的胶束结构,有利于增溶在胶束中的烯烃与铑催化剂配位和生成正构醛.  相似文献

A novel cationic-nonionic bifunctional polymerizable surfactant (PEP) was prepared by the quaternarization of poly (ethylene oxide-propylene oxide) block polymers (PEO-PPO) having terminal tertiary amine group with chloropropene. Polymeric surfactant (PAM-g-PEP) was prepared by the copolymerization of acrylamide and PEP in water and the product was confirmed by FTIR. PAM-g-PEP has exhibit excellent surface and interfacial activity and its surface tension and interfacial tension at cmc are 40.13 mN/m and 11.69 mN/m, respectively. The influence of temperature on the micellar behavior of the PAM-g-PEP in water was studied by the dynamic laser scatting (DLS) and ultraviolet spectroscope. The results showed that PAM-g-PEP in water is thermo-associative. In diluted PAM-g-PEP solution, the Rh of the polymeric surfactant increases with the temperature due to the interpolymeric aggregations are formed. In the case of concentrated PAM-g-PEP solution, the light transmittance of PAM-g-PEP aqueous solution decreases with the increasing temperature, which is may be caused by the increase of the number of the interpolymeric PEP chain aggregates.   相似文献

A novel twin-tailed gemini surfactant was synthesized with anhydrous piperazine, 4-nitrobenzyl chloride and 1-bromo octane as raw materials. Its structure was verified by infrared and 1H NMR. The optimum synthetic conditions were established by orthogonal array design. The sterilizing antimicrobial performance of the twin-tailed gemini surfactant was measured by using the disc diffusion method against 18 bacteria. The study indicated that the target twin-tailed gemini surfactant shows excellent inhibition against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus thuringiensis, Sphaericus, Bacillus mucilginosus, and Penicillium chrysogenum compared with conventional gemini surfactant and dialkyl monomeric surfactant at the concentration of 10 mg/ml.  相似文献

A novel sulfonic acid-containing gemini surfactant, 6,6′-(butane-1,4-diylbis(oxy)) bis(3-nonylbenzenesulfonic acid), 9BA-4-9BA, was synthesized in high purity and high yield using a facile preparation pathway, and characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR, and elemental analysis. The content of two sulfonic acid groups was measured by the acid-base titration. DSC and TGA were used to reveal the thermal properties and the product purity. The surface properties of 9BA-4-9BA were evaluated by equilibrium surface tension measurement. It shows that its CMC was 0.65 mmol/L, while the C20 of 0.018 mmol/L was above two orders of magnitude lower than that of traditional monomeric surfactants such as SDS and SDBS, indicating excellent efficiency of micelle formation and reduced surface tension.  相似文献

在水溶液中进行了表面活性单体丙烯酰胺基十四烷基磺酸钠(NaAMC14S)与丙烯酰胺(AM)的均相共聚合, 制备了具有微嵌段结构的疏水缔合聚丙烯酰胺NaAMC14S/AM, 合成了阳离子型Gemini表面活性剂二溴化-N,N′-二(二甲基十二烷基)己二铵(C12C6C12Br2), 采用表观粘度法和荧光探针法研究了共聚物NaAMC14S/AM与Gemini表面活性剂C12C6C12Br2的相互作用. 研究结果表明, 疏水缔合聚丙烯酰胺NaAMC14S/AM与Gemini表面活性剂C12C6C12Br2之间存在着很强的相互作用, 既存在静电相互作用, 又存在强烈的疏水相互作用, 表现在以下几方面: C12C6C12Br2的加入, 使共聚物NaAMC14S/AM在浓度小于其临界缔合浓度(cac)时即发生分子间的缔合; C12C6C12Br2在低于其临界胶束浓度时, 就与共聚物NaAMC14S/AM形成混合胶束; 当共聚物的浓度为0.30%(w)时, 随着C12C6C12Br2加入量的增多, 共聚物水溶液的粘度会发生大幅度的增加, 在最大值处粘度竟提高了3个数量级. 研究还发现, 共聚物NaAMC14S/AM与C12C6C12Br2之间的相互作用还与共聚物分子链中的疏水微嵌段含量有关, 疏水微嵌段含量越多, NaAMC14S/AM与C12C6C12Br2之间的相互作用越强, 溶液粘度增加的程度越大.  相似文献

以过硫酸铵为引发剂,通过种子微乳液聚合的方法研究了阴离子型Gemini表面活性剂在形成涂料或胶粘剂用乳液中的功能。研究发现阴离子型Gemini表面活性剂在微乳液聚合中是高效的乳化剂,可以提供典型的粒径控制及良好的乳液稳定性,只需1%左右就可以得到固含量45%左右的透明纳米级聚丙烯酸酯乳液,并维持平均粒径在31nm左右。  相似文献

A new family of hydrophobically modified polyacrylamides (HMPAM) was synthesized via homogeneous copolymerization of acrylamide (AM) and anionic surface-active monomer of acrylamide-type, sodium 2-acrylamido-tetradecane sulfonate (NaAMC14S) in aqueous solution. The copolymers NaAMC14S/AM with microblock structures and with different chain microstructures were obtained by varying the copolymerization factors, such as the feed ratio of NaAMC14S to AM and the amount of added electrolyte NaCl and initiator. The interaction between copolymers NaAMC14S/AM and cationic gemini surfactants, C12C3C12Br2 and C12C6C12Br2, was studied by using viscosimetry and fluorescent probe technique. The results show this new family of HMPAM, NaAMC14S/AM, has very strong interaction with gemini surfactants, and their aqueous solutions exhibit unique rheological properties.  相似文献

As many as 1200 solvent molecules can be entrapped by one molecule of the cationic dimeric surfactants 1 to form a gel in CHCl3.
