对光纤激光极限功率的探索和其受限因素的分析, 有利于为大功率光纤激光器的发展提供理论依据和实验指导. 本文考虑热效应、光效应、非线性效应和抽运亮度等因素对光纤激光极限功率的影响, 分析了掺镱和掺铥光纤的极限功率和受限因素. 在此基础上, 结合激光在光纤中单模传输的条件, 计算了单模掺镱和掺铥光纤激光的极限功率. 计算结果表明, 在现有技术条件下, 使用常规的976 nm和793 nm激光二极管抽运, 单模掺镱和掺铥光纤激光的极限功率分别为4.2 kW和7.8 kW, 其中单模掺铥光纤激光的功率水平还远低于它的极限功率的原因是受抽运亮度的限制. 最后分析指出减小纤芯的数值孔径和改进少模光束的光束质量是提升单模光纤激光极限功率的重要途径. 相似文献

对一种基于高增益掺Yb3+大模场面积光子晶体光纤(PCF)的锁模激光器进行了简化线型腔结构的实验和理论研究.实验中直接使用塌陷打磨为0°角的光纤端面作为一端腔镜,利用其端面反馈获得了激光振荡,并进一步利用半导体可饱和吸收镜(SESAM)和光栅对的滤波作用实现了稳定的锁模运转.通过调节滤波程度,使激光器实现了从宽带滤波锁模到窄带滤波锁模的连续可调谐.在宽带滤波锁模的条件下,得到了最大平均输出功率2.2 W,单脉冲能量29.3 nJ,脉冲宽度367 fs的锁模脉冲输出;在窄带滤波锁模的条

A compact and tunable erbium-doped fiber laser is demonstrated using a highly doped fiber and a microfiber knot resonator (MKR) structure which is laid on the surface of a small peltier. The MKR functions as both a reflector and a tunable filter where tunability is achieved by varying the temperature of the resonator by heating the peltier. A stable laser output is achieved at the 1533 nm region with an optical signal to noise ratio (OSNR) of 27 dB using a 65 mW of 980 nm pump power. The operating wavelength of the laser can be tuned from 1532.60 nm to 1533.49 nm as the temperature is increased from the room temperature of 24 to 90 °C. It is observed that the operating wavelength shifts to a longer wavelength as the temperature increases with an efficiency of 12.4 pm/°C. This is due to the thermally induced optical phase shift attributable to the changes in effective refractive index and optical path length of the MKR loop. 相似文献

采用两个中心波长约976 nm准直输出的高功率半导体激光模块为抽运源,通过空间滤波和非球面透镜耦合技术,双端抽运长度为21 m的大模场面积国产掺镱双包层光纤,获得了714.5 W的高功率连续激光输出。采用反向抽运,当入纤抽运功率为760 W时,激光输出功率达到501 W;采用双端抽运,当入纤抽运功率为1137 W时,获得了714.5 W的高功率连续输出,光光转换效率为62.8%,斜率效率为67%。 相似文献

建立了具有两个取样周期略有不同的取样光纤光栅反射镜的Vernier波长调谐机制的光纤分布布拉格反射式激光器的数值仿真模型,对激光器的输出特性进行了分析. 研究了激光器输出特性随着激光器前后光栅反射镜波长以及前后光栅反射镜反射率的变化关系. 提出了对两取样光栅反射率的优化配置方案,可以使输出激光的边模抑制比有所提高;同时对波长调节方式也进行了探讨;进行了实验研究.

基于传输速率方程,对Ho3+:ZBLAN光纤激光器的动态特性——上能级粒子数以 及输出激光功率的弛豫振荡特性进行了数值分析.通过忽略光纤参数对传输方向的依赖性,抽运光 和信号光的功率传输方程被分别简化处理.结果表明,在5I6能级的 粒子数首先经历 一次弛豫振荡后,5I6和5I7能级的粒 子数交替弛豫振荡并达到稳态;同 样,在3μm波长的激光功率首先经历一次弛豫振荡后,3μm和2μm波长的激光功率交替弛豫 振荡并达到稳态,而且,弛豫振荡时的峰值功率远大于稳态时的激光功率.

高功率宽调谐范围掺Yb3+光子晶体光纤激光器 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
采用闪耀光栅作为色散元件,构建了前向、后向输出两种结构的可调谐掺Yb3 光子晶体光纤激光器,并对其输出特性进行了分析研究.在抽运功率5.75W时,前向输出结构实现了1050.6~1110.2 nm的连续调谐输出,光谱线宽约0.1 nm,边模抑制比大于44 dB.在调谐激光波长为1085 nm时,得到最高输出功率677 mW.结构改进的后向输出结构的可调谐输出结构在抽运功率4.43 W,调谐波长1075 nm,实现了2.21 W的功率输出,斜率效率为73%;调谐范围50.9 nm(1042.1~1093 nm),光谱线宽小于0.08 nm,边模抑制比大于50 dB.两种结构的可调谐激光器输出均为线偏振光,偏振度大于89.5%. 相似文献

The generation of a multiple wavelength source using a bismuth-based erbium-doped fiber (Bi-EDF) in a linear cavity configuration is demonstrated. The configuration uses a pair of optical circulators at the input and output ends of the cavity to form a resonator for multi-wavelength generation in conjunction with optical couplers to inject the Brillouin pump (BP) and to tap the output at the two ends. The Brillouin erbium fiber laser (BEFL) comb with a 2.15 m of Bi-EDF has a wavelength spacing of 0.09 nm and operates in long-wavelength (L-) band region. A stable output laser comb of 50 lines is obtained at a BP of 1568.2 nm and 5 dBm and two 1480 nm pumps at 120 mW. The injected BP wavelength and power as well as the 1480 nm pump powers have a great effect on the number of lines and output power of the BEFL. This configuration is compact due to the use of the significantly shorter Bi-EDF as the linear gain medium, and can be made more compact by replacing the single-mode fiber with highly non-linear fibers such as holey fibers. 相似文献

A high-power singlemode Raman fiber laser (RFL) with maximum output power of 4.11 W and maximum power conversion efficiency of 47.40% at 1239 nm is realized using continuous wave 8.4 W Yb-doped double-clad fiber laser as a pump, 700 m phosphosilicate fiber, and a Raman cavity formed by a pair of fiber Bragg grating mirrors at 1239 nm. The output characteristics of the RFL at 1239 nm for different fiber lengths and output mirror reflectance are reported. Numerical analysis is investigated for the high-power double-clad fiber lasers and experimental results using different microscope objectives for focusing into a Nd-doped rectangular double-clad fiber also performed. The numerical analysis includes dependence of output power on output mirror reflectivity, absorbed pump power, loss, and fiber length and pump power distribution for the cases of one-end and two-end pumps with 20 dB/km loss. Calculated conversion efficiencies are 76.36%, 69.73%, and 63.84% for lossless, two-end pump, and one-end pump fiber lasers, respectively. Slope efficiencies from absorbed pump power/output powers measured using microscope objectives are 16.8%/182 mW, 53.8%/351 mW, 24.9%/1240 mW, and 13.9%/649 mW for magnifications of 5×, 10×, 20×, and 40×, respectively. 相似文献

分析了利用光纤中的受激布里渊散射(SBS)相位共轭效应进行激光腔内调Q,产生ns量级脉冲激光的原理,并对利用该效应产生的激光脉冲波形和脉冲形成过程进行了数值模拟,得到的脉冲波形与SBS相位共轭反射率随时间变化曲线基本一致,表明利用光纤中的SBS相位共轭作用调Q具有可行性。据此,对采用单模光纤(SMF)作为SBS池的掺Er3+调Q光纤激光器进行实验研究,当单模光纤长度为1.5 m时,在45 mW的抽运光功率下得到脉宽约2.6 ns,脉冲周期58.23 ns,平均功率7.35 mW的激光脉冲。进一步的研究表明:激光器中相位共轭镜的形成与SBS介质长度有关,SBS介质过长,斯托克斯线之间无固定的相位关系,不能形成相干叠加,SBS相位共轭腔不能形成; SBS介质过短,腔内正交偏振模光子寿命的改变使脉冲出现双峰现象。脉冲形成后其属性只与SBS动态属性有关。 相似文献
