For a cyclic group A and a connected Lie group G with an A-module structure (with the additional assumptions that G is compact and the A-module structure on G is 1-semisimple if ), we define the twisted Weyl group W = W(G,A,T), which acts on T and H 1(A,T), where T is a maximal compact torus of , the identity component of the group of invariants G A . We then prove that the natural map is a bijection, reducing the calculation of H 1(A,G) to the calculation of the action of W on T. We also prove some properties of the twisted Weyl group W, one of which is that W is a finite group. A new proof of a known result concerning the ranks of groups of invariants with respect to automorphisms of a compact Lie group is also given.   相似文献

Let(Ω*(M), d) be the de Rham cochain complex for a smooth compact closed manifolds M of dimension n. For an odd-degree closed form H, there is a twisted de Rham cochain complex(Ω*(M), d + H∧) and its associated twisted de Rham cohomology H*(M, H). The authors show that there exists a spectral sequence {Ep,qr, dr} derived from the filtration Fp(Ω*(M)) = i≥pΩi(M) of Ω*(M), which converges to the twisted de Rham cohomology H*(M, H). It is also shown that the differentials in the spectral sequence can be given in terms of cup products and specific elements of Massey products as well,which generalizes a result of Atiyah and Segal. Some results about the indeterminacy of differentials are also given in this paper.  相似文献

We consider two new algebras from an H-biquasimodule algebra A and a Hopf quasigroup H: twisted smash product A ? H and L-R smash product A?H, and find necessary and sufficient conditions for making them Hopf quasigroups. We generalize the main results in Brzeziński and Jiao [5] and Klim and Majid [9]. Moreover, if H is a cocommutative Hopf quasigroup, we prove that A ? H is isomorphic to A?H as Hopf quasigroups.  相似文献

Given a covering Γ of a quiver Δ, we show that the quiver algebra K[Γ] of Γ over a field K is a twisted tensor product of the quiver algebra of the fibre of the covering viewed as a trivial quiver and the quiver algebra K[Δ]. We calculate the Gerstenhaber bracket on Hopf algebra and Hochschild cohomologies of the Taft algebra Tp for any integer p>2 which is a nonquasi-triangular Hopf algebra. We show that the bracket is indeed zero on Hopf algebra cohomology of Tp, as in all known quasi-triangular Hopf algebras. This example is the first known bracket computation for a nonquasi-triangular algebra. Also, we find a general formula for the bracket on Hopf algebra cohomology of any Hopf algebra with bijective antipode on the bar resolution that is reminiscent of Gerstenhaber's original formula for Hochschild cohomology.  相似文献

This paper presents a translation of a theorem of Cartan into an equivariant setting. This work is largely based on the study of the homotopical algebra in the sense of Quillen of the category of simplicial objects over the category of rationalO g-vector spaces. The application is a solution to the equivariant commutative cochain problem. This solution is slightly better than the solution obtained earlier by Triantafillou in that the transformation groupG need not be finite.  相似文献

The Evens-Lu-Weinstein representation (Q A , D) for a Lie algebroid A on a manifold M is studied in the transitive case. To consider at the same time non-oriented manifolds as well, this representation is slightly modified to (Q A or , Dor) by tensoring by orientation flat line bundle, Q A or =QAor (M) and D or=D⊗∂ A or . It is shown that the induced cohomology pairing is nondegenerate and that the representation (Q A or , Dor) is the unique (up to isomorphy) line representation for which the top group of compactly supported cohomology is nontrivial. In the case of trivial Lie algebroid A=TM the theorem reduce to the following: the orientation flat bundle (or (M), ∂ A or ) is the unique (up to isomorphy) flat line bundle (ξ, ∇) for which the twisted de Rham complex of compactly supported differential forms on M with values in ξ possesses the nontrivial cohomology group in the top dimension. Finally it is obtained the characterization of transitive Lie algebroids for which the Lie algebroid cohomology with trivial coefficients (or with coefficients in the orientation flat line bundle) gives Poincaré duality. In proofs of these theorems for Lie algebroids it is used the Hochschild-Serre spectral sequence and it is shown the general fact concerning pairings between graded filtered differential ℝ-vector spaces: assuming that the second terms live in the finite rectangular, nondegeneration of the pairing for the second terms (which can be infinite dimensional) implies the same for cohomology spaces.  相似文献

We refine the cyclic cohomological apparatus for computing the Hopf cyclic cohomology of the Hopf algebras associated to infinite primitive Cartan–Lie pseudogroups, and for the transfer of their characteristic classes to foliations. The main novel feature is the precise identification as a Hopf cyclic complex of the image of the canonical homomorphism from the Gelfand–Fuks complex to the Bott complex for equivariant cohomology. This provides a convenient new model for the Hopf cyclic cohomology of the geometric Hopf algebras, which allows for an efficient transport of the Hopf cyclic classes via characteristic homomorphisms. We illustrate the latter aspect by indicating how to realize the universal Hopf cyclic Chern classes in terms of explicit cocycles in the cyclic cohomology of étale foliation groupoids.  相似文献
