We show that if A is a closed analytic subset of \mathbbPn{\mathbb{P}^n} of pure codimension q then Hi(\mathbbPn\ A,F){H^i(\mathbb{P}^n{\setminus} A,{\mathcal F})} are finite dimensional for every coherent algebraic sheaf F{{\mathcal F}} and every i 3 n-[\fracn-1q]{i\geq n-\left[\frac{n-1}{q}\right]} . If n-1 3 2q we show that Hn-2(\mathbbPn\ A,F)=0{n-1\geq 2q\,{\rm we show that}\, H^{n-2}(\mathbb{P}^n{\setminus} A,{\mathcal F})=0} .  相似文献

Affine extractors over prime fields   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
An affine extractor is a map that is balanced on every affine subspace of large enough dimension. We construct an explicit affine extractor AE from \mathbbFn \mathbb{F}^n to \mathbbF\mathbb{F}, \mathbbF\mathbb{F} a prime field, so that AE(x) is exponentially close to uniform when x is chosen uniformly at random from an arbitrary affine subspace of \mathbbFn \mathbb{F}^n of dimension at least δn, 0<δ≤1 a constant. Previously, Bourgain constructed such affine extractors when the size of \mathbbF\mathbb{F} is two. Our construction is in the spirit of but different than Bourgain’s construction. This allows for simpler analysis and better quantitative results.  相似文献

We study the limiting behavior of the K?hler–Ricci flow on \mathbbP(O\mathbbPn ?O\mathbbPn(-1)?(m+1)){{\mathbb{P}(\mathcal{O}_{\mathbb{P}^n} \oplus \mathcal{O}_{\mathbb{P}^n}(-1)^{\oplus(m+1)})}} for m, n ≥ 1, assuming the initial metric satisfies the Calabi symmetry. We show that the flow either shrinks to a point, collapses to \mathbbPn{{\mathbb{P}^n}} or contracts a subvariety of codimension m + 1 in the Gromov–Hausdorff sense. We also show that the K?hler–Ricci flow resolves a certain type of cone singularities in the Gromov–Hausdorff sense.  相似文献

We prove the existence of a global heat flow u : Ω ×  \mathbbR+ ? \mathbbRN {\mathbb{R}^{+}} \to {\mathbb{R}^{N}}, N > 1, satisfying a Signorini type boundary condition u(∂Ω ×  \mathbbR+ {\mathbb{R}^{+}}) ⊂  \mathbbRn {\mathbb{R}^{n}}), n \geqslant 2 n \geqslant 2 , and \mathbbRN {\mathbb{R}^{N}}) with boundary [`(W)] \bar{\Omega } such that φ(∂Ω) ⊂ \mathbbRN {\mathbb{R}^{N}} is given by a smooth noncompact hypersurface S. The conjecture was made by Kahn that a spanning forest F chosen uniformly at random from all forests of any finite graph G has the edge-negative association property. If true, the conjecture would mean that given any two edges ε1 and ε2 in G, the inequality \mathbbP(e1 ? F, e2 ? F) £ \mathbbP(e1 ? F)\mathbbP(e2 ? F){{\mathbb{P}(\varepsilon_{1} \in \mathbf{F}, \varepsilon_{2} \in \mathbf{F}) \leq \mathbb{P}(\varepsilon_{1} \in \mathbf{F})\mathbb{P}(\varepsilon_{2} \in \mathbf{F})}} would hold. We use enumerative methods to show that this conjecture is true for n large enough when G is a complete graph on n vertices. We derive explicit related results for random trees.  相似文献

For open discrete mappings f:D\{ b } ? \mathbbR3 f:D\backslash \left\{ b \right\} \to {\mathbb{R}^3} of a domain D ì \mathbbR3 D \subset {\mathbb{R}^3} satisfying relatively general geometric conditions in D \ {b} and having an essential singularity at a point b ? \mathbbR3 b \in {\mathbb{R}^3} , we prove the following statement: Let a point y 0 belong to [`(\mathbbR3)] \f( D\{ b } ) \overline {{\mathbb{R}^3}} \backslash f\left( {D\backslash \left\{ b \right\}} \right) and let the inner dilatation K I (x, f) and outer dilatation K O (x, f) of the mapping f at the point x satisfy certain conditions. Let B f denote the set of branch points of the mapping f. Then, for an arbitrary neighborhood V of the point y 0, the set Vf(B f ) cannot be contained in a set A such that g(A) = I, where I = { t ? \mathbbR:| t | < 1 } I = \left\{ {t \in \mathbb{R}:\left| t \right| < 1} \right\} and g:U ? \mathbbRn g:U \to {\mathbb{R}^n} is a quasiconformal mapping of a domain U ì \mathbbRn U \subset {\mathbb{R}^n} such that A ⊂ U.  相似文献

Let ${s,\,\tau\in\mathbb{R}}Let s, t ? \mathbbR{s,\,\tau\in\mathbb{R}} and q ? (0,¥]{q\in(0,\infty]} . We introduce Besov-type spaces [(B)\dot]s, tpq(\mathbbRn){{{{\dot B}^{s,\,\tau}_{p,\,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n})}}} for p ? (0, ¥]{p\in(0,\,\infty]} and Triebel–Lizorkin-type spaces [(F)\dot]s, tpq(\mathbbRn) for p ? (0, ¥){{{{\dot F}^{s,\,\tau}_{p,\,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n})}}\,{\rm for}\, p\in(0,\,\infty)} , which unify and generalize the Besov spaces, Triebel–Lizorkin spaces and Q spaces. We then establish the j{\varphi} -transform characterization of these new spaces in the sense of Frazier and Jawerth. Using the j{\varphi} -transform characterization of [(B)\dot]s, tpq(\mathbbRn) and [(F)\dot]s, tpq(\mathbbRn){{{{\dot B}^{s,\,\tau}_{p,\,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n})}\, {\rm and}\, {{\dot F}^{s,\,\tau}_{p,\,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n})}}} , we obtain their embedding and lifting properties; moreover, for appropriate τ, we also establish the smooth atomic and molecular decomposition characterizations of [(B)\dot]s, tpq(\mathbbRn) and [(F)\dot]s, tpq(\mathbbRn){{{{\dot B}^{s,\,\tau}_{p,\,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n})}\,{\rm and}\, {{\dot F}^{s,\,\tau}_{p,\,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n})}}} . For s ? \mathbbR{s\in\mathbb{R}} , p ? (1, ¥), q ? [1, ¥){p\in(1,\,\infty), q\in[1,\,\infty)} and t ? [0, \frac1(max{pq})¢]{\tau\in[0,\,\frac{1}{(\max\{p,\,q\})'}]} , via the Hausdorff capacity, we introduce certain Hardy–Hausdorff spaces B[(H)\dot]s, tpq(\mathbbRn){{{{B\dot{H}^{s,\,\tau}_{p,\,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n})}}}} and prove that the dual space of B[(H)\dot]s, tpq(\mathbbRn){{{{B\dot{H}^{s,\,\tau}_{p,\,q}(\mathbb{R}^{n})}}}} is just [(B)\dot]-s, tp¢, q(\mathbbRn){\dot{B}^{-s,\,\tau}_{p',\,q'}(\mathbb{R}^{n})} , where t′ denotes the conjugate index of t ? We study hypersurfaces in the Lorentz-Minkowski space \mathbbLn+1{\mathbb{L}^{n+1}} whose position vector ψ satisfies the condition L k ψ = + b, where L k is the linearized operator of the (k + 1)th mean curvature of the hypersurface for a fixed k = 0, . . . , n − 1, A ? \mathbbR(n+1)×(n+1){A\in\mathbb{R}^{(n+1)\times(n+1)}} is a constant matrix and b ? \mathbbLn+1{b\in\mathbb{L}^{n+1}} is a constant vector. For every k, we prove that the only hypersurfaces satisfying that condition are hypersurfaces with zero (k + 1)th mean curvature, open pieces of totally umbilical hypersurfaces \mathbbSn1(r){\mathbb{S}^n_1(r)} or \mathbbHn(-r){\mathbb{H}^n(-r)}, and open pieces of generalized cylinders \mathbbSm1(r)×\mathbbRn-m{\mathbb{S}^m_1(r)\times\mathbb{R}^{n-m}}, \mathbbHm(-r)×\mathbbRn-m{\mathbb{H}^m(-r)\times\mathbb{R}^{n-m}}, with k + 1 ≤ m ≤ n − 1, or \mathbbLm×\mathbbSn-m(r){\mathbb{L}^m\times\mathbb{S}^{n-m}(r)}, with k + 1 ≤ nm ≤ n − 1. This completely extends to the Lorentz-Minkowski space a previous classification for hypersurfaces in \mathbbRn+1{\mathbb{R}^{n+1}} given by Alías and Gürbüz (Geom. Dedicata 121:113–127, 2006).  相似文献

Let \mathbbF\mathbb{F} be a totally real number field, and let f traverse a sequence of non-dihedral holomorphic eigencuspforms on \operatornameGL2/\mathbbF\operatorname{GL}_{2}/\mathbb{F} of weight (k1,?,k[\mathbbF:\mathbbQ])(k_{1},\ldots,k_{[\mathbb{F}:\mathbb{Q}]}), trivial central character and full level. We show that the mass of f equidistributes on the Hilbert modular variety as max(k1,?,k[\mathbbF:\mathbbQ]) ? ¥\max(k_{1},\ldots,k_{[\mathbb{F}:\mathbb{Q}]}) \rightarrow \infty.  相似文献

We consider the space A(\mathbbT)A(\mathbb{T}) of all continuous functions f on the circle \mathbbT\mathbb{T} such that the sequence of Fourier coefficients [^(f)] = { [^(f)]( k ), k ? \mathbbZ }\hat f = \left\{ {\hat f\left( k \right), k \in \mathbb{Z}} \right\} belongs to l 1(ℤ). The norm on A(\mathbbT)A(\mathbb{T}) is defined by || f ||A(\mathbbT) = || [^(f)] ||l1 (\mathbbZ)\left\| f \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = \left\| {\hat f} \right\|_{l^1 (\mathbb{Z})}. According to the well-known Beurling-Helson theorem, if f:\mathbbT ? \mathbbT\phi :\mathbb{T} \to \mathbb{T} is a continuous mapping such that || einf ||A(\mathbbT) = O(1)\left\| {e^{in\phi } } \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = O(1), n ∈ ℤ then φ is linear. It was conjectured by Kahane that the same conclusion about φ is true under the assumption that || einf ||A(\mathbbT) = o( log| n | )\left\| {e^{in\phi } } \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = o\left( {\log \left| n \right|} \right). We show that if $\left\| {e^{in\phi } } \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = o\left( {\left( {{{\log \log \left| n \right|} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\log \log \left| n \right|} {\log \log \log \left| n \right|}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\log \log \log \left| n \right|}}} \right)^{1/12} } \right)$\left\| {e^{in\phi } } \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = o\left( {\left( {{{\log \log \left| n \right|} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\log \log \left| n \right|} {\log \log \log \left| n \right|}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\log \log \log \left| n \right|}}} \right)^{1/12} } \right), then φ is linear.  相似文献

Let \mathbbF\mathbb{F} be a p-adic field, let χ be a character of \mathbbF*\mathbb{F}^{*}, let ψ be a character of \mathbbF\mathbb{F} and let gy-1\gamma_{\psi}^{-1} be the normalized Weil factor associated with a character of second degree. We prove here that one can define a meromorphic function [(g)\tilde](c,s,y)\widetilde{\gamma}(\chi ,s,\psi) via a similar functional equation to the one used for the definition of the Tate γ-factor replacing the role of the Fourier transform with an integration against y·gy-1\psi\cdot\gamma_{\psi}^{-1}. It turns out that γ and [(g)\tilde]\widetilde{\gamma} have similar integral representations. Furthermore, [(g)\tilde]\widetilde{\gamma} has a relation to Shahidi‘s metaplectic local coefficient which is similar to the relation γ has with (the non-metalpectic) Shahidi‘s local coefficient. Up to an exponential factor, [(g)\tilde](c,s,y)\widetilde{\gamma}(\chi,s,\psi) is equal to the ratio \fracg(c2,2s,y)g(c,s+\frac12,y)\frac{\gamma(\chi^{2},2s,\psi)}{\gamma(\chi,s+\frac{1}{2},\psi)}.  相似文献

Let \mathbbF{\mathbb{F}} be a finite field and suppose that a single element of \mathbbF{\mathbb{F}} is used as an authenticator (or tag). Further, suppose that any message consists of at most L elements of \mathbbF{\mathbb{F}}. For this setting, usual polynomial based universal hashing achieves a collision bound of (L-1)/|\mathbbF|{(L-1)/|\mathbb{F}|} using a single element of \mathbbF{\mathbb{F}} as the key. The well-known multi-linear hashing achieves a collision bound of 1/|\mathbbF|{1/|\mathbb{F}|} using L elements of \mathbbF{\mathbb{F}} as the key. In this work, we present a new universal hash function which achieves a collision bound of mélogm Lù/|\mathbbF|, m 3 2{m\lceil\log_m L\rceil/|\mathbb{F}|, m\geq 2}, using 1+élogm Lù{1+\lceil\log_m L\rceil} elements of \mathbbF{\mathbb{F}} as the key. This provides a new trade-off between key size and collision probability for universal hash functions.  相似文献

An undirected graph G = (V, E) is called \mathbbZ3{\mathbb{Z}_3}-connected if for all b: V ? \mathbbZ3{b: V \rightarrow \mathbb{Z}_3} with ?v ? Vb(v)=0{\sum_{v \in V}b(v)=0}, an orientation D = (V, A) of G has a \mathbbZ3{\mathbb{Z}_3}-valued nowhere-zero flow f: A? \mathbbZ3-{0}{f: A\rightarrow \mathbb{Z}_3-\{0\}} such that ?e ? d+(v)f(e)-?e ? d-(v)f(e)=b(v){\sum_{e \in \delta^+(v)}f(e)-\sum_{e \in \delta^-(v)}f(e)=b(v)} for all v ? V{v \in V}. We show that all 4-edge-connected HHD-free graphs are \mathbbZ3{\mathbb{Z}_3}-connected. This extends the result due to Lai (Graphs Comb 16:165–176, 2000), which proves the \mathbbZ3{\mathbb{Z}_3}-connectivity for 4-edge-connected chordal graphs.  相似文献

It is proved that every two Σ-presentations of an ordered field \mathbbR \mathbb{R} of reals over \mathbbH\mathbbF ( \mathbbR ) \mathbb{H}\mathbb{F}\,\left( \mathbb{R} \right) , whose universes are subsets of \mathbbR \mathbb{R} , are mutually Σ-isomorphic. As a consequence, for a series of functions f:\mathbbR ? \mathbbR f:\mathbb{R} \to \mathbb{R} (e.g., exp, sin, cos, ln), it is stated that the structure \mathbbR \mathbb{R} = 〈R, +, ×, <, 0, 1, f〉 lacks such Σ-presentations over \mathbbH\mathbbF ( \mathbbR ) \mathbb{H}\mathbb{F}\,\left( \mathbb{R} \right) .  相似文献

We find some optimal estimates for the first eigenfunction of a class of elliptic equations whose prototype is - ( guxi )xi = lgu \textin W ì \mathbbRn - {\left( {\gamma u_{{x_{i} }} } \right)}_{{x_{i} }} = \lambda \gamma u\,{\text{in}}\,\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^{n} with Dirichlet boundary condition, where γ is the normalized Gaussian function in \mathbbRn \mathbb{R}^{n} . To this aim we make use of the Gaussian symmetrization which transforms a domain into an half-space with the same Gaussian measure. The main tools we use are the properties of the weighted rearrangements and in particular the isoperimetric inequality with respect to Gaussian measure.  相似文献

We consider asymptotically flat Riemannian manifolds with non-negative scalar curvature that are conformal to \mathbbRn\ W, n 3 3{\mathbb{R}^{n}{\setminus} \Omega, n\ge 3}, and so that their boundary is a minimal hypersurface. (Here, W ì \mathbbRn{\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^{n}} is open bounded with smooth mean-convex boundary.) We prove that the ADM mass of any such manifold is bounded below by \frac12(V/bn)(n-2)/n{\frac{1}{2}\left(V/\beta_{n}\right)^{(n-2)/n}}, where V is the Euclidean volume of Ω and β n is the volume of the Euclidean unit n-ball. This gives a partial proof to a conjecture of Bray and Iga (Commun. Anal. Geom. 10:999–1016, 2002). Surprisingly, we do not require the boundary to be outermost.  相似文献

We study diophantine properties of a typical point with respect to measures on \mathbbRn .\mathbb{R}^n . Namely, we identify geometric conditions on a measure μ on \mathbbRn \mathbb{R}^n guaranteeing that μ-almost every y  ?  \mathbbRn {\bf y}\,\in\,\mathbb{R}^n is not very well multiplicatively approximable by rationals. Measures satisfying our conditions are called ‘friendly’. Examples include smooth measures on nondegenerate manifolds; thus this paper generalizes the main result of [KM]. Another class of examples is given by measures supported on self-similar sets satisfying the open set condition, as well as their products and pushforwards by certain smooth maps.  相似文献
