An IR microscope has been installed at the beamline ID18 at the ESRF in Grenoble, France in order to obtain nuclear inelastic scattering (NIS) data and IR spectra simultaneously. This setup combines the advantages of both spectroscopic methods. The applicability of the installed setup to the study of the spin crossover (SCO) phenomenon in polynuclear iron complexes has been shown.  相似文献

The operational capability of a diamond detector used to measure the neutron spectrum by the response function on the QUINTA setup [1] installed at the proton beam of the phasotron [2] (Laboratory of Nuclear Problems, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research) was demonstrated in the energy interval of 2.1–20 MeV. The neutron-flux count rate was measured. The energy of neutrons was estimated at 7.4–25.7 MeV based on the diamond-detector response spectrum. The dependence of the diamond-detector response spectra on the angle between the proton beam and the line going through the detector and the center of the QUINTA setup was investigated. The angular anisotropy of the neutron flux was demonstrated. Measurements at different distances from the detector to the QUINTA setup were performed.  相似文献

An electrostatic deflector for separating the fusion evaporation residues from the beam-like products in heavy ion reactions was installed.The evaporation residue separation and identification with the electrostatic deflector setup was tested with the reaction 32S+96Zr at several energies.The fusion evaporation residues and the beam-like particles were well separated after the electrical separation and the experimental fusion cross section obtained from the angular distribution is in good agreement with the calculated value well above the Coulomb barrier.This confirms the reliability of the setup.  相似文献

A remoderator for the high intensity positron source NEPOMUC was developed and installed at the beam facility. A beam of remoderated positrons could be produced with different energies and a diameter of less than 2 mm was obtained. The efficiency of the remoderation setup was determined to be 5%. Due to the brilliance of the remoderated beam, the measurements at the coincidence Doppler broadening spectrometer (CDBS) and at the positron annihilation induced Auger electron spectrometer (PAES) could be improved. The setup and functionality of the remoderation device is presented as well as the first measurements at the remoderator, CDBS and PAES.  相似文献

The 1.73 μm XeI laser has been operated in a fully continuous mode using a table-top electron beam pumped laser setup. A 12 keV electron beam sent through a 300 nm thick silicon nitride membrane into a laser gas mixture of typically 600 mbar gas pressure was used for pumping. A low loss cavity was installed, resulting in a very low pumping power of 37 mW to reach laser threshold. The geometrical conditions for the laser setup such as the shape of the beam pumped volume and its overlap with the optical mode volume are discussed. The laser scheme has been clearly identified as a recombination laser scheme by operating the laser in pulsed mode and observing the time structure of the laser pulse.  相似文献

We describe an experimental system that integrates the techniques for producing ultracold atomic gases with the techniques for cooling solid bodies to cryogenic temperatures. Ultracold clouds of 87Rb are prepared in a trap setup based on room-temperature coils and subsequently transported to a superconducting microstructure by means of optical tweezers. The superconducting microstructure generates a magnetic microtrap and is cooled by a helium-flow cryostat that can achieve temperatures down to 2 K. Both the room-temperature trap setup and the superconducting microtrap are installed in the same ultra-high-vacuum chamber. The presented system is well suited to create hybrid quantum systems by combining ultracold atomic gases and superconducting devices.  相似文献

A setup installed on the RADEX neutron beam channel (Institute for Nuclear Research, Russian Academy of Sciences) and designed to study quasi-free nn scattering in the n + d → p + n + n reaction is described. The setup is a two-arm time-of-flight spectrometer composed of scintillation neutron hodoscope (in the left arm), a scintillation neutron detector (in the right arm), and an active scintillation deuterated target for detecting protons. Secondary neutrons are detected at angles corresponding to the kinematic conditions of quasi-free nn scattering. Events are selected at low energies of the outgoing proton spectator. It is shown that data on neutron-neutron quasi-free scattering can be obtained in a wide range of primary-neutron energies.  相似文献

RIBLL1 experimental setup consists of RIB identification system,secondary target control system and secondary reaction products measurement system.The high gain x-y position sensitive PPAC with delay cable grouped readout,the scintillation foil time pickup detector focusing with ellipsoidal surface,the traverse field IC,the large area two dimensional position sensitive scintillatillator with PMT matrix readout,the Compton suppressed HPGe γ-ray detectors and twin longitudinal field iC are major components.This setup has been installed at RIBLL1.The performance measurements and test experiments are in progress.  相似文献

A new method of phase‐shifting digital holography is demonstrated in the hard X‐ray region. An in‐line‐type phase‐shifting holography setup was installed in a 6.80 keV hard X‐ray synchrotron beamline. By placing a phase plate consisting of a hole and a band at the focusing point of a Fresnel lens, the relative phase of the reference and objective beams could be successfully shifted for use with a three‐step phase‐shift algorithm. The system was verified by measuring the shape of a gold test pattern and a silica sphere.  相似文献

The object of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of sorption energy exchanger and the impact of the operational and thermal environmental conditions on their efficiency under steady-state conditions. To achieve this object, a test facility was installed into the Indoor Air Quality and Thermal Comfort Laboratory of BUTE University. A molecular 3Å sieve sorption wheel with high latent effectiveness is integrated into the experimental setup. In this study, the correlation between the sensible, latent, total effectiveness under different ambient air temperature and humidity values and different rotational speeds of the wheel is investigated in detailed by experimental tests.  相似文献

Following the commissioning of the PRISMA large-acceptance spectrometer, installed at the Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro (LNL), an international nuclear-structure collaboration has started to develop a large -ray setup to be installed in the target position of the spectrometer. The array is based on the EUROBALL composite CLOVER detectors. In this contribution the CLOVER detector array is described and its expected performance figures discussed. An experiment on the investigation of optical diffraction radiation (ODR) from a slit target as a possible tool for noninvasive electron beam-size diagnostics has been performed at the KEK accelerator test facility. The experimental setup has been installed at the diagnostics section of the extraction line. We have performed the first incoherent ODR observation from a slit target. The measured angular distributions are in reasonable agreement with the theoretical expectation. The beam-size effect onto the ODR angular pattern has been observed. Moreover, the sensitivity to the beam size as small as 14 microm has been achieved.  相似文献

An experimental investigation was made to study heat transfer in a pipe which is oscillated about an axis that is parallel to, but offset from, the pipe axis. Air was used as working fluid. The experimental setup was designed so as to provide oscillating motion of a test pipe. The measurement systems were installed on the oscillating section. For both steady and oscillating flows, the bulk air temperature and wall temperature, pressure drop, and frequency were measured. The parameters for this study were chosen as Reynolds number from 5,000 to 20,000 and oscillating frequencies from 10 to 20 Hz. The variations of Nusselt number versus these parameters were determined and presented graphically. Heat transfer enhancement of 42% was achieved at constant pumping power for oscillatory flow.  相似文献

A new extraction system is designed for a penning ion source DUHOCAMIS(dual hollow cathode ion source for metal ion beams)being installed at the Institute of Heavy Ion Physics,Peking University.We have analyzed theoretically the central particle trajectories in the extraction region for ions having different q/m ratios and then compared our results with the simulation results of CST(Computer Simulation Technology)software.The validity of the system is verified and some analytical formulas are obtained which will be used for the optimization of the extraction system as well as the experimental setup.  相似文献

Nuclear multifragmentation in d (4.4 GeV) + Au collision was studied with the 4π setup FASA installed at the external beam of the Dubna Nuclotron. Data obtained are analyzed within the statistical model of multifragmentation. It is found that the kinetic energy spectra of intermediate mass fragments deviate from the predicted ones. It is explained by the collective flow caused by the thermal expansion of fragmenting nucleus.  相似文献

The adaptive optics system for the second-generation Very Large Telescope-interferometer(VLTI)instrument GRAVITY consists of a novel cryogenic near-infrared wavefront sensor to be installed at each of the four unit telescopes of the Very Large Telescope(VLT).Feeding the GRAVITY wavefront sensor with light in the 1.4–2.4μm band,while suppressing laser light originating from the GRAVITY metrology system requires custom-built optical componets.In this paper,we present the development of a quantitative near-infraredpoint diffraction interferometric characterization technique,which allows measuring the transmitted wavefront error of the silicon entrance windows of the wavefront sensor cryostat.The technique can be readily applied to quantitative phase measurements in the near-infrared regime.Moreover,by employing a slightly off-axis optical setup,the proposed method can optimize the required spatial resolution and enable real time measurement capabilities.The feasibility of the proposed setup is demonstrated,followed by a theoretical analysis and experimental results.Our experimental results show that the phase error repeatability in the nanometer regime can be achieved.  相似文献

A combined Raman and atomic force microscope (AFM) has been installed at beamline P01, PETRA III, DESY in Hamburg and is now available for all users of this beamline. With this unique setup nuclear resonance scattering and simultaneously performed Raman or Atomic Force Microscopy experiments are possible. Here we report on technical details of this new sample environment and on first tests with respect to the study of microstructures of spin crossover materials using 57Fe nuclear resonance scattering.  相似文献

An electronic measurement of high-voltages of several ten kV with accuracy as required for precision experiments is currently only feasible using highly sophisticated voltage dividers. Collinear laser spectroscopy can provide a direct and precise measurement of high-voltages using the Doppler shift of accelerated ions. Although proposed already in 1982, a measurement with relative accuracy better than 10?4 was not reported so far. To improve this accuracy, a dedicated new setup for high-voltage measurements will be installed at the Technische Universität Darmstadt. A two-chamber approach will be used to remove uncertainties due to the insufficiently known starting potential inside the ion source. Here we present a demonstration of the pump-and-probe technique performed in preparatory studies at the TRIGA-LASER experiment in Mainz.  相似文献

兰州重离子加速器冷却储存环(HIRFL-CSR)现有的Kicker踢轨控制系统为多板结构,需要安装多个控制软件对其进行参数配置,系统的时间分辨率为5 ns;新研制的踢轨控制系统采用单板结构,将系统的时间分辨率提高至2.5 ns。界面设计采用流行的浏览器/服务器模式,在嵌入式系统中移植Boa Web服务器,用来实现浏览器和底层硬件的通信,操作人员通过浏览器即可对Kicker控制系统各项参数进行配置。实验验证,该软件系统具有免安装、操作简单、易于与其他软件系统集成的优点,能够满足踢轨控制系统的需要。The existed Kicker Control System for HIRFL-CSR in Lanzhou is multi-board and many software interfaces have been installed to have the parameters to be con gurated. The time resolution for the beam to be identi ed is 5 ns. The newly designed Kicker Control System is designed with single-board architecture and raises the system time resolution to 2.5 ns. The B/S model has been applied to upgrade the software interface.In order to realize the target, we use the browser to communicate with hardware for the purpose of con guring the controller, the Boa web server has been transplanted into embedded system. The experiments showed that this software system is easy to use and integrate with other control system, without setup process, and is of great research value and popularization.  相似文献

Acoustic characteristics of a dual Helmholtz resonator which consists of a pair of cylindrical neck and cavity connected in series (neck-cavity-neck-cavity) are established primarily in terms of a lumped-parameter theory. The results are then compared to (a) a two-dimensional analytical approach by applying a pressure/velocity matching technique for a piston-driven model; (b) a three-dimensional boundary element method for a pipe-mounted model; and (c) experiments on an impedance-tube test setup with one fabricated prototype installed in a sidebranch orientation (pipe-mounted model). Closed-form expressions have been developed in the present study for the resonance frequencies and the transmission loss of this two degree-of-freedom system based on the Newton’s second law of motion for a lumped system. The resonance frequencies and the transmission loss from this theory agree well with the analytical results, while showing a reasonable comparison with both the numerical predictions and the measurements.  相似文献
