A measurement of the number of J/ψ events collected with the BESⅢ detector in 2009 and 2012 is performed using inclusive decays of the J/ψ. The number of J/ψ events taken in 2009 is recalculated to be(223.7±1.4)×10~6, which is in good agreement with the previous measurement, but with significantly improved precision due to improvements in the BESⅢ software. The number of J/ψ events taken in 2012 is determined to be(1086.9±6.0)×10~6. In total, the number of J/ψ events collected with the BESⅢ detector is measured to be(1310.6±7.0)×106, where the uncertainty is dominated by systematic effects and the statistical uncertainty is negligible.  相似文献

An extrapolation to the physical limit for the lattice data of Λ_b →Λ_c form factors computed in the nonphysical region is made in this work through a class of fitting functions proposed by us with nonlinear dependence on m2/π derived in the chiral perturbative theory(ChPT) and the heavy quark effective theory(HQET) framework. Then the results are applied to calculate the differential and integrated Λ_b →Λ_c semileptonic decay rates. Meanwhile, a comparison between our results and those obtained through the extrapolation functions with naive linear dependenceon m2/π is made.It is shown that the difference between the extrapolated central values of these two cases is about 5%.The total uncertainties(depending on the momentum transfer q~2) in the linear case are about 5% ~10%(caused by the uncertainties of lattice data) and those in the nonlinear case are about 10% ~ 20%(caused by the uncertainties of both lattice data and input parameters in Ch PT and HQET). More accurate lattice data and parameters in ChPT and HQET are needed to reduce the uncertainties of the extrapolated results.  相似文献

The BES-Ⅲ Detector is a very versatile multipurpose device located at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) in Beijing, China. Concerning the physics program it ties stringently up to the past BES and BES-Ⅱ experiments. Since start of the data taking in the middle of 2008 the accumulated dataset of 200.10^6 J/ψ events and 100.10^6 ψ' events already exceeds the world data on these resonances. In addition to studies of the charmonium systems the data offers great opportunity for investigations in the light hadron sector. In detail it will be reported about the confirmation of the enhancement in pp invariant mass in radiative J/ψ decays, the search for decays Y(2175) → K*0K*0, observation of a charged K^± in K^±π^0 and observation of a new excited baryon N*(2065) decaying to pπ^0 and charged onjugate. The first result is based on data taken by BES-Ⅱ and BES-Ⅲ, the latter three on data collected by BES-Ⅱ only.  相似文献

Wave function is important for determining decay constants f_(D_s~-) and f_(D~-). Using the 5 types of D meson wave functions in the heavy quark limit, we studied the uncertainties of radiative pure-leptonic decays of D_s~- (D~-) mesons. The branching ratios are (1.025390-1.706812) ×10~5 and (0.953498-1.576725) ×10~6 for D_s~- and D~- decays, respectively, which are sensitive to the type of wave function.  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate a reliable method based on a nanofiber to optimize the number of cold atoms in a magneto–optical trap(MOT) and to monitor the MOT in real time.The atomic fluorescence is collected by a nanofiber with subwavelength diameter of about 400 nm.The MOT parameters are experimentally adjusted in order to match the maximum number of cold atoms provided by the fluorescence collected by the nanofiber.The maximum number of cold atoms is obtained when the intensities of the cooling and re-pumping beams are about 23.5 mW/cm~2 and 7.1 mW/cm~2,respectively; the detuning of the cooling beam is-13.0 MHz, and the axial magnetic gradient is about 9.7 Gauss/cm.We observe a maximum photon counting rate of nearly(4.5 ± 0.1) × 10~5 counts/s.The nanofiber–atom system can provide a powerful and flexible tool for sensitive atom detection and for monitoring atom–matter coupling.It can be widely used from quantum optics to quantum precision measurement.  相似文献

We study the quasi-two-body decays B_((s)) ψ[K~*(892) K~*(1410) K~*(1680)] ψKπ by employing the perturbative QCD(PQCD) factorization approach, where the charmonia ψ represents J/ψ and ψ(2S). The corresponding decay channels are studied by constructing the kaon-pion distribution amplitude(DA) Φ_(Kπ)~P, which comprises important final state interactions between the kaon and pion in the resonant region. Relativistic Breit-Wigner formulas are adopted to parameterize the time-like form factor F_(Kπ) appearing in the kaon-pion DAs. The SU(3) flavor symmetry breaking effect resulting from the mass difference between the kaon and pion is taken into account,which makes significant contributions to the longitudinal polarizations. The observed branching ratios and the polarization fractions of B_((s)) ψK~*(892) ψKπ are accommodated by tuning hadronic parameters for the kaon-pion DAs. The PQCD predictions for B_((s)) ψ[K~*(1410) K~*(1680)] ψKπ modes from the same set of parameters can be tested by precise data obtained in the future from LHCb and Belle Ⅱ experiments.  相似文献

The density inhomogeneity of a glass pendulum is determined by an optical interference method. The relative variations of the densities over a volume with sizes of 5 × 5×5 mm^3 are (0.64 ± 0.97) × 10^-5 and (0.99 ± 0.92) × 10^-5 for the K9 glass and silica glass pendulum, respectively. These variations of densities contributing to the relative uncertainties of the Newtonian gravitational constant G are 0.20 ppm and 0.21 ppm in our experiment on measurement of G.  相似文献

Trigger efficiencies at BESⅢ were determined for both the J/ψ and ψ' data taking of 2009. Both dedicated runs and physics datasets are used; efficiencies are presented for Bhabha-scattering events, generic hadronic decay events involving charged tracks, dimuon events and ψ'→π+π-J/ψ, J/ψ→ 1+1- events.The efficiencies are found to lie well above 99% for all relevant physics cases, thus fulfilling the BESⅢ design specifications.  相似文献

The principle of the method for the BESⅢ event start time determination and the code construction are described. The investigation of influence of the noise, the method of rejecting noise and the performance checking by the Monte Carlo physics data sample are also presented. The preliminary results got from the Monte Carlo simulation are presented, the reconstruction efficiency of J/ψ→ anything events at noise level 0~60% can achieve above 99%, and the error rate is below 1%.  相似文献

We investigate the cross section of the heavy ion reaction (14.5 MeV/u) ^132Xe + Bi by using a CR-39 plastic track detector. The target-detector assembly is exposed at UNILAC beam facility of GSI, Germany. After etching under appropriate etching conditions, the detector is scanned for multipronged events produced as a result of interactions of projectile ions with target atoms. The elastic events are separated from binary events and used for the determination of the quarter-point angle. The quarter-point angle obtained is used to determine the total reaction cross section. The total experimental reaction cross section is determined by using statistics of inelastic events of two-pronged and higher multiplicity events. The experimental reaction cross sections determined by using elastic and inelastic data observed in the reaction under study are found to be in good agreement with the theoretically calculated value of reaction cross section using a sharp cutoff model.  相似文献

We study the hadronic decays of ∧_c~+ to the final states ∑~+η and ∑~+η',using an e~+e~-annihilation data sample of 567 pb~(-1) taken at a center-of-mass energy of 4.6 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCⅡ collider.We find evidence for the decays ∧_c~+→∑~+η and ∑~+η' with statistical significance of 2.5σ and 3.2σ,respectively.Normalizing to the reference decays ∧_c~+→∑~+π0 and ∑~+ω,we obtain the ratios of the branching fractions■and ■to be 0.35±0.16±0.02 and 0.86±0.34±0.04,respectively.The upper limits at the 90% confidence level are set to be■and■.Using BESIII measurements of the branching fractions of the reference decays,we determine B(∧_c~+→∑~+η)=(0.41±0.19±0.05)%(0.68%)and B(∧_c~+→∑~+η')=(1.34±0.53 ±0.19)%(1.9%).Here,the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic.The obtained branching fraction of ∧_c~+→∑~+η is consistent with the previous measurement,and the branching fraction of ∧_c~+→∑~+η' is measured for the first time.  相似文献

The dependence of implications from observations on cosmological models is an intractable problem not only in cosmology, but also in astrophysics. Gaussian processes(GPs), a powerful nonlinear interpolating tool without assuming a model or parametrization, have been widely used to directly reconstruct functions from observational data(e.g., expansion rate and distance measurements) for cosmography. However, the fidelity of this reconstructing method has never been checked. In this study, we test the fidelity of GPs for cosmography by mocking observational data sets comprising different number of events with various uncertainty levels. These factors are of great importance for the fidelity of reconstruction. That is, for the expansion rate measurements, GPs are valid for reconstructing the functions of the Hubble parameter versus redshift when the number of observed events is as many as 256 and the uncertainty of the data is ~3%. Moreover, the distance-redshift relation reconstructed from the observations of the upcoming Dark Energy Survey type la supernovae is credible.  相似文献

A system of jointly transferring time signals with a rate of 1 pulse per second(PPS) and frequency signals of 10 MHz via a dense wavelength division multiplex-based(DWDM) fiber is demonstrated in this paper.The noises of the fiber links are suppressed and compensated for by a controlled fiber delay line.A method of calibrating and characterizing time is described.The 1PPS is synchronized by feed-forward calibrating the fiber delays precisely.The system is experimentally examined via a 110 km spooled fiber in laboratory.The frequency stabilities of the user end with compensation are1.8×10~(-14) at 1 s and 2.0×10~(-17) at 10~4 s average time.The calculated uncertainty of time synchronization is 13.1 ps,whereas the direct measurement of the uncertainty is 12 ps.Next,the frequency and 1PPS are transferred via a metropolitan area optical fiber network from one central site to two remote sites with distances of 14 km and 110 km.The frequency stabilities of 14 km link reach 3.0×10~(-14) averaged in 1 s and 1.4×10~(-17) in 10~4 s respectively;and the stabilities of 110 km link are 8.3×10~(-14) and 1.7×10~(-17),respectively.The accuracies of synchronization are estimated to be 12.3 ps for the14 km link and 13.1 ps for the 110 km link,respectively.  相似文献

The electric field in the crystal planar channels is studied by the Thomas-Fermi method.The ThomasFermi equation and the corresponding boundary conditions are derived for the crystal palanar channels,The numerical solution for the elctric field in the channels between(110) Planes of the single crystal silicaon and the critical angles of channelling protons in them are shown.Reasonable agreements with the experimental data are obtained.The results show that the Thomas-Fermi method for the crystal works well in this study,and a microscopic research of the channel electric field with the contribution of all atoms and the atomic ionization being taken into account is practical.  相似文献

The thermonuclear~(19)F(p,α_0)16O reaction rate in the temperature region 0.007–10 GK has been derived by re-evaluating the available experimental data, together with the low-energy theoretical R-matrix extrapolations.Our new rate deviates by up to about 30% compared to the previous results, although all rates are consistent within the uncertainties. At very low temperature(e.g. 0.01 GK) our reaction rate is about 20% lower than the most recently published rate, because of a difference in the low energy extrapolated S-factor and a more accurate estimate of the reduced mass used in the calculation of the reaction rate. At temperatures above ~1 GK, our rate is lower, for instance, by about 20% around 1.75 GK, because we have re-evaluated the previous data(Isoya et al., Nucl. Phys.7, 116(1958)) in a meticulous way. The present interpretation is supported by the direct experimental data. The uncertainties of the present evaluated rate are estimated to be about 20% in the temperature region below 0.2 GK,and are mainly caused by the lack of low-energy experimental data and the large uncertainties in the existing data.Asymptotic giant branch(AGB) stars evolve at temperatures below 0.2 GK, where the~(19)F(p,α)16O reaction may play a very important role. However, the current accuracy of the reaction rate is insufficient to help to describe, in a careful way, the fluorine over-abundances observed in AGB stars. Precise cross section(or S factor) data in the low energy region are therefore needed for astrophysical nucleosynthesis studies.  相似文献

The perspective of the detectability of Galactic dark matter subhaloes on the Fermi satellite is investigated in this work. Under the assumptions that dark matter annihilation accounts for the ``GeV excess' of the Galactic diffuse $\upgamma$-rays discovered by EGRET and the $\upgamma$-ray flux is dominated by the contribution from subhaloes of dark matter, we calculate the expected number of dark matter subhaloes that Fermi may detect. We show that Fermi may detect a few tens to several hundred subhaloes in a 1-year all-sky survey. Since EGRET observation is taken as a normalization, this prediction is independent of the particle physics property of dark matter. The uncertainties of the prediction are discussed in detail. We find that the major uncertainty comes from the mass function of subhaloes, i.e., whether the subhaloes are ``point like' (high-mass rich) or ``diffuse like' (low-mass rich). Other uncertainties like the background estimation and the observational errors will contribute a factor of 2—3.  相似文献
