Isomeric two-quasiparticle states have been identified in the neutron-rich isotopes 172Er and 174Er using multi-nucleon transfer reactions with 136Xe beams incident on various targets, and γ  -ray spectroscopy with Gammasphere. A candidate for the Kπ=6+Kπ=6+ two-quasineutron state in 172Er is found at 1500 keV. In 174Er, a nuclide whose level scheme was previously unknown, a long-lived isomer is identified at 1112 keV decaying via an inhibited E1 transition and revealing the yrast sequence of 174Er. This isomer is proposed to be a Kπ=8Kπ=8 two-quasineutron state, defining a sequence in the N=106N=106 isotones extending from the well-deformed neutron-rich isotope 174Er to the neutron-deficient isotope 188Pb, where the presence of the isomer signifies a prolate minimum in an otherwise spherical well. Configuration-constrained potential-energy surface calculations are used to predict the excitation energies of the 6+ and 8 intrinsic states and as a basis for extracting the pairing force strength, GnGn, in the N=104N=104 and N=106N=106 isotones.  相似文献

We investigate complete spacelike hypersurfaces in Lorentz–Minkowski space with two distinct principal curvatures and constant mmth mean curvature. By using Otsuki’s idea, we obtain the global classification result. As their applications, we obtain some characterizations for hyperbolic cylinders. We prove that the only complete spacelike hypersurfaces in Lorentz–Minkowski (n+1)(n+1)-spaces (n≥3n3) of nonzero constant mmth mean curvature (m≤n−1mn1) with two distinct principal curvatures λλ and μμ satisfying inf(λ−μ)2>0inf(λμ)2>0 are the hyperbolic cylinders. We also obtain a global characterization for hyperbolic cylinder Hn−1(c)×RHn1(c)×R in terms of square length of the second fundamental form.  相似文献

In addition to the narrow spin-one resonances ρTρT, ωTωT and aTaT occurring in low-scale technicolor, there will be relatively narrow scalars in the mass range 200 to 600–700 GeV. We study the lightest isoscalar state, σTσT. In several important respects it is like a heavy Higgs boson with a small vev. It may be discoverable with high luminosity at the LHC where it is produced via weak boson fusion and likely has substantial W+WW+W and Z0Z0Z0Z0 decay modes.  相似文献

We analyze the radiative pion decay π+→e+νeγπ+e+νeγ within nonlocal chiral quark models that include wave function renormalization. In this framework we calculate the vector and axial-vector form factors FVFV and FAFA at q2=0q2=0 — where q2q2 is the e+νee+νe squared invariant mass — and the slope a   of FV(q2)FV(q2) at q2→0q20. The calculations are carried out considering different nonlocal form factors, in particular those taken from lattice QCD evaluations, showing a reasonable agreement with the corresponding experimental data. The comparison of our results with those obtained in the (local) NJL model and the relation of FVFV and a   with the form factor in π0→γ?γπ0γ?γ decays are discussed.  相似文献

We employ chaotic (?2?2 and ?4?4) inflation to illustrate the important role radiative corrections can play during the inflationary phase. Yukawa interactions of ?  , in particular, lead to corrections of the form −κ?4ln(?/μ)κ?4ln(?/μ), where κ>0κ>0 and μ   is a renormalization scale. For instance, ?4?4 chaotic inflation with radiative corrections looks compatible with the most recent WMAP (5 year) analysis, in sharp contrast to the tree level case. We obtain the 95% confidence limits 2.4×10−14?κ?5.7×10−142.4×10−14?κ?5.7×10−14, 0.931?ns?0.9580.931?ns?0.958 and 0.038?r?0.2050.038?r?0.205, where nsns and r   respectively denote the scalar spectral index and scalar to tensor ratio. The limits for ?2?2 inflation are κ?7.7×10−15κ?7.7×10−15, 0.929?ns?0.9660.929?ns?0.966 and 0.023?r?0.1350.023?r?0.135. The next round of precision experiments should provide a more stringent test of realistic chaotic ?2?2 and ?4?4 inflation.  相似文献

We report results from an experiment on the decay of the high-K isomers in 254No. We have been able to establish the decay from the known high-lying four-quasiparticle isomer, which we assign as a Kπ=16+Kπ=16+ state at an excitation energy of Ex=2.928(3) MeVEx=2.928(3) MeV. The decay of this state passes through a rotational band based on a previously unobserved state at Ex=2.012(2) MeVEx=2.012(2) MeV, which we suggest is based on a two-quasineutron configuration with Kπ=10+Kπ=10+. This state in turn decays to a rotational band based on the known Kπ=8Kπ=8 isomer, which we infer must also have a two quasineutron configuration. We are able to assign many new gamma-rays associated with the decay of the Kπ=8Kπ=8 isomer, including the identification of a highly K-forbidden ΔK=8ΔK=8 E1 transition to the ground-state band. These results provide valuable new information on the orbitals close to the Fermi surface, pairing correlations, deformation and rotational response, and K-conservation in nuclei of the deformed trans-fermium region.  相似文献

The total cross section of the reaction pp→ppK+KppppK+K has been measured at excess energies Q=10 MeVQ=10 MeV and 28 MeV with the magnetic spectrometer COSY-11. The new data show a significant enhancement of the total cross section compared to pure phase space expectations or calculations within a one boson exchange model. In addition, we present invariant mass spectra of two particle subsystems. While the K+KK+K system is rather constant for different invariant masses, there is an enhancement in the pKpK system towards lower masses which could at least be partially connected to the influence of the Λ(1405)Λ(1405) resonance.  相似文献

We consider a Schrödinger-type differential expression HV=∇∇+VHV=+V, where ∇ is a Hermitian connection on a Hermitian vector bundle EE over a complete Riemannian manifold (M,g)(M,g) with metric gg and positive smooth measure dμdμ, and VV is a locally integrable section of the bundle of endomorphisms of EE. Different kinds of deflection in a silicon crystal bent along the 〈111〉 axis was observed for 150 GeV/c   negative particles, mainly ππ mesons, at one of the secondary beams of the CERN SPS. The whole beam was deflected to one side in quasi-bound states of doughnut scattering (DSB) by atomic strings with the efficiency (95.4 ± 0.2)% and with the peak position close to the bend crystal angle, α=185 μradα=185 μrad. It was observed volume capture of ππ mesons into the DSB states with a probability higher than 7%. A beam deflection opposite to the crystal bend was observed for some orientations of the crystal axis due to doughnut scattering and subsequent multiple volume reflections of ππ mesons by different bent planes crossing the axis.  相似文献

We investigate the prospects for the discovery of neutral Higgs bosons with a pair of muons by direct searches at the CERN large hadron collider (LHC) as well as by indirect searches in the rare decay Bs→μ+μBsμ+μ at the Fermilab Tevatron and the LHC. Promising results are found for the minimal supersymmetric standard model, the minimal supergravity (mSUGRA) model, and supergravity models with non-universal Higgs masses (NUHM SUGRA). For tanβ?50tanβ?50, we find that (i) the contours for a branching fraction of B(Bs→μ+μ)=1×10−8B(Bsμ+μ)=1×10−8 in the parameter space are very close to the 5σ   contours for pp→b?0→bμ+μ+Xppb?0bμ+μ+X, ?0=h0?0=h0, H0H0, A0A0 at the LHC with an integrated luminosity (L) of 30 fb−1, (ii) the regions covered by B(Bs→μ+μ)?5×10−9B(Bsμ+μ)?5×10−9 and the discovery region for b?0→bμ+μb?0bμ+μ with 300 fb−1 are complementary in the mSUGRA parameter space, (iii) in NUHM SUGRA models, a discovery of B(Bs→μ+μ)?5×10−9B(Bsμ+μ)?5×10−9 at the LHC will cover regions of the parameter space beyond the direct search for b?0→bμ+μb?0bμ+μ with L=300 fb−1L=300 fb−1.  相似文献

We construct a natural L2L2-metric on the perturbed Seiberg–Witten moduli spaces Mμ+Mμ+ of a compact 4-manifold MM, and we study the resulting Riemannian geometry of Mμ+Mμ+. We derive a formula which expresses the sectional curvature of Mμ+Mμ+ in terms of the Green operators of the deformation complex of the Seiberg–Witten equations. In case MM is simply connected, we construct a Riemannian metric on the Seiberg–Witten principal U(1)U(1) bundle P→Mμ+PMμ+ such that the bundle projection becomes a Riemannian submersion. On a Kähler surface MM, the L2L2-metric on Mμ+Mμ+ coincides with the natural Kähler metric on moduli spaces of vortices.  相似文献

Considering the constraints from the experimental data on μ→eγμeγ, μ→3eμ3e, μ–eμe conversion, etc., we analyze the lepton flavor violating decays ?(J/Ψ,?(1S))→e+μ+τ)?(J/Ψ,?(1S))e+μ(μ+τ) in the scenarios of the minimal supersymmetric extensions of Standard Model with seesaw mechanism. Numerically, there is parameter space that the LFV processes of J/Ψ(?)→μ+τJ/Ψ(?)μ+τ can reach the upper experimental bounds, meanwhile the theoretical predictions on μ→eγμeγ, μ→3eμ3e, μ–eμe conversion satisfy the present experimental bounds. For searching of new physics, lepton flavor violating processes J/Ψ(?)→μ+τJ/Ψ(?)μ+τ may be more promising and effective channels.  相似文献

We study the single spin asymmetries for the πp→μ+μXπpμ+μX process. We consider the asymmetries contributed by the coupling of the Boer–Mulders function with the transversity distribution and the pretzelosity distribution, characterized by the sin(?+?S)sin(?+?S) and sin(3?−?S)sin(3??S) azimuthal angular dependence, respectively. We estimate the magnitude of these asymmetries at COMPASS by using proper weighting functions. We find that the sin(?+?S)sin(?+?S) asymmetry is of the size of a few percent and can be measured through the experiment. The sin(3?−?S)sin(3??S) asymmetry is smaller than the sin(?+?S)sin(?+?S) asymmetry. After a cut on qTqT, we succeed in enhancing the asymmetry.  相似文献

The setting is an ergodic dynamical system (X,μ)(X,μ) whose points are themselves uniformly discrete point sets ΛΛ in some space RdRd and whose group action is that of translation of these point sets by the vectors of RdRd. Steven Dworkin’s argument relates the diffraction of the typical point sets comprising XX to the dynamical spectrum of XX. A curve αα immersed in the three-dimensional sphere S3S3 is said to be a Bertrand curve if there exists another curve ββ and a one-to-one correspondence between αα and ββ such that both curves have common principal normal geodesics at corresponding points. The curves αα and ββ are said to be a pair of Bertrand curves in S3S3. One of our main results is a sort of theorem for Bertrand curves in S3S3 which formally agrees with the classical one: “Bertrand curves in S3S3 correspond to curves for which there exist two constants λ≠0λ0 and μμ such that λκ+μτ=1λκ+μτ=1”, where κκ and ττ stand for the curvature and torsion of the curve; in particular, general helices in the 3-sphere introduced by M. Barros are Bertrand curves. As an easy application of the main theorem, we characterize helices in S3S3 as the only twisted curves in S3S3 having infinite Bertrand conjugate curves. We also find several relationships between Bertrand curves in S3S3 and (1,3)-Bertrand curves in R4R4.  相似文献

In this paper we show that for a compact minimal hypersurface MM of constant scalar curvature in the unit sphere S6S6 with the shape operator AA satisfying ‖A‖2>5A2>5, there exists an eigenvalue λ>10λ>10 of the Laplace operator of the hypersurface MM such that ‖A‖2=λ−5A2=λ5. The influence of the octupole deformation on the structure of high-K isomeric states in the region of heavy even–even actinide nuclei is studied through a reflection asymmetric deformed shell model (DSM). Two-quasiparticle states with high-K values are constructed by taking into account the pairing effect through a DSM + BCS procedure with constant pairing interaction. The behaviour of two-quasiparticle energies and magnetic dipole moments of Kπ=6+Kπ=6+, 66 and 88 configurations, applicable to mass numbers in the range A=234–252A=234252, was examined over a wide range of quadrupole and octupole deformations. A pronounced sensitivity of the magnetic moments to the octupole deformation is found. The result suggests a possibly important role for high-K isomers in determining the degree of octupole deformation in heavy actinide nuclei.  相似文献

We study the oil displacement and production behavior in an isothermal thin layered reservoir model subjected to water flooding. We use the CMG’s (Computer Modelling Group  ) numerical simulators to solve mass balance equations. The influences of the viscosity ratio (m≡μoil/μwatermμoil/μwater) and the inter-well (injector-producer) distance rr on the oil production rate C(t)C(t) and the breakthrough time tbrtbr are investigated. Two types of reservoir configuration are used, namely one with random porosities and another with a percolation cluster structure. We observe that the breakthrough time follows a power-law of mm and rr, tbr∝rαmβtbrrαmβ, with α=1.8α=1.8 and β=−0.25β=0.25 for the random porosity type, and α=1.0α=1.0 and β=−0.2β=0.2 for the percolation cluster type. Moreover, our results indicate that the oil production rate is a power law of time. In the percolation cluster type of reservoir, we observe that P(t)∝tγP(t)tγ, with γ=−1.81γ=1.81, where P(t)P(t) is the time derivative of C(t)C(t). The curves related to different values of mm and rr may be collapsed suggesting a universal behavior for the oil production rate.  相似文献
