We study a scenario that a U(1)U(1) hidden gaugino constitutes the dark matter in the Universe and decays into a lepton and slepton pair through a mixing with a U(1)BLU(1)BL gaugino. We find that the dark-matter decay can account for the recent PAMELA and ATIC anomalies in the cosmic-ray positrons and electrons without an overproduction of antiprotons.  相似文献

As a first step towards computing instanton-generated superpotentials in heterotic standard model vacua, we determine the Gromov–Witten invariants for a Calabi–Yau threefold with fundamental group π1(X)=Z3×Z3π1(X)=Z3×Z3. We find that the curves fall into homology classes in H2(X,Z)=Z3⊕(Z3⊕Z3)H2(X,Z)=Z3(Z3Z3). The unexpected appearance of the finite torsion subgroup in the homology group complicates our analysis. However, we succeed in computing the complete genus-0 prepotential. Expanding it as a power series, the number of instantons in any integral homology class can be read off. This is the first explicit calculation of the Gromov–Witten invariants of homology classes with torsion. We find that some curve classes contain only a single instanton. This ensures that the contribution to the superpotential from each such instanton cannot cancel.  相似文献

It is argued that the dominant contribution to the interaction of quark–gluon plasma at moderate T?TcT?Tc is given by the nonperturbative vacuum field correlators. Basing on that nonperturbative equation of state of quark–gluon plasma is computed and in the lowest approximation expressed in terms of absolute values of Polyakov lines for quarks and gluons Lfund(T),Ladj(T)=(Lfund)9/4Lfund(T),Ladj(T)=(Lfund)9/4 known from lattice and analytic calculations. Phase transition at any μ   is described as a transition due to vanishing of one of correlators, DE(x)DE(x), which implies the change of gluonic condensate ΔG2ΔG2. Resulting transition temperature Tc(μ)Tc(μ) is calculated in terms of ΔG2ΔG2 and Lfund(Tc)Lfund(Tc). The phase curve Tc(μ)Tc(μ) is in a good agreement with lattice data. In particular Tc(0)=0.27Tc(0)=0.27; 0.19; 0.17 GeV0.17 GeV for nf=0,2,3nf=0,2,3 and fixed ΔG2=0.0035 GeV4ΔG2=0.0035 GeV4.  相似文献

In the same spirit as heterotic weight lifting, B-L lifting is a way of replacing the superfluous and ubiquitous U(1)BLU(1)BL with something else with the same modular properties, but different conformal weights and ground state dimensions. This method works in principle for all variants of (2,2)(2,2) constructions, such as orbifolds, Calabi–Yau manifolds, free bosons and fermions and Gepner models, since it only modifies the universal SO(10)×E8SO(10)×E8 part of the CFT. However, it can only yield chiral spectra if the “internal” sector of the theory provides a simple current of order 5. Here we apply this new method to Gepner models. Including exceptional invariants, 86 of them have the required order 5 simple current, and 69 of these yield chiral spectra. Three family spectra occur abundantly.  相似文献

We study integrable cases of pairing BCS hamiltonians containing several types of fermions. We prove that there exist three classes of such integrable models associated with classical rational r  -matrices and Lie algebras gl(2m)gl(2m), sp(2m)sp(2m) and so(2m)so(2m) correspondingly. We diagonalize the constructed hamiltonians by means of the algebraic Bethe ansatz. In the partial case of two types of fermions (m=2m=2) the obtained models may be interpreted as N=ZN=Z proton–neutron integrable models. In particular, in the case of sp(4)sp(4) we recover the famous integrable proton–neutron model of Richardson.  相似文献

We construct a natural model of the supersymmetric SU(6)SU(6) unification, in which the symmetry breaking, down to the standard model gauge group, results in the number of pseudo-Nambu–Goldstone superfields with interesting properties. Namely, besides the Higgs doublet–antidoublet pair which is responsible for the electroweak phase transition, the Nambu–Goldstone sector consists of multiplets in the anti- and fundamental representations of SU(5)SU(5). While being strictly massless in the supersymmetric limit, they acquire the weak scale masses as a result of its breaking. The color-triplet components of this light sector could, in principle, mediate an unacceptably fast proton decay; however, because of the natural TeV/MGUTTeV/MGUT suppression of the Yukawa couplings to the light quarks and leptons, their existence is compatible with the experimental bound on proton lifetime. This suppression is made further interesting, since it results in the lifetime, of the lightest of the above-mentioned colored particles from 1 s to 1 day1 day, long enough for it to appear stable in the detector. Furthermore, we argue that the accommodation of the color-triplet pseudo-Nambu–Goldstones, without fine-tuning or contradicting observations, implies SU(6)SU(6) unification.  相似文献

Motivated by the necessity of discrete ZNZN symmetries in the MSSM to insure baryon stability, we study the origin of discrete gauge symmetries from open string sector U(1)U(1)?s in orientifolds based on rational conformal field theory. By means of an explicit construction, we find an integral basis for the couplings of axions and U(1)U(1) factors for all simple current MIPFs and orientifolds of all 168 Gepner models, a total of 32 990 distinct cases. We discuss how the presence of discrete symmetries surviving as a subgroup of broken U(1)U(1)?s can be derived using this basis. We apply this procedure to models with MSSM chiral spectrum, concretely to all known U(3)×U(2)×U(1)×U(1)U(3)×U(2)×U(1)×U(1) and U(3)×Sp(2)×U(1)×U(1)U(3)×Sp(2)×U(1)×U(1) configurations with chiral bi-fundamentals, but no chiral tensors, as well as some SU(5)SU(5) GUT models. We find examples of models with Z2Z2 (R-parity) and Z3Z3 symmetries that forbid certain B and/or L violating MSSM couplings. Their presence is however relatively rare, at the level of a few percent of all cases.  相似文献

Amovilli and March (2006) [8] used diffusion quantum Monte Carlo techniques to calculate the non-relativistic ionization potential I(Z)I(Z) in He-like atomic ions for the range of (fractional) nuclear charges Z   lying between the known critical value Zc=0.911Zc=0.911 at which I(Z)I(Z) tends to zero and Z=2Z=2. They showed that it is possible to fit I(Z)I(Z) to a simple quadratic expression. Following that idea, we present here a semiempirical fine-tuning of Hartree–Fock ionization potentials for the isoelectronic series of He, Be, Ne, Mg and Ar-like atomic ions that leads to excellent estimations of ZcZc for these series. The empirical information involved is experimental ionization and electron affinity data. It is clearly demonstrated that Hartree–Fock theory provides an excellent starting point for determining I(Z)I(Z) for these series.  相似文献

The deviation δQWδQW of the weak charge from its standard model prediction due to the mixing of the W boson with the charged bilepton Y as well as of the Z   boson with the neutral ZZ and the real part of the non-Hermitian neutral bilepton X   in the economical 3–3–1 model is established. Additional contributions to the usual δQWδQW expression in the extra U(1)U(1) models and the left–right models are obtained. Our calculations are quite different from previous analyzes in this kind of the 3–3–1 models and give the limit on mass of the ZZ boson, the Z–ZZZ and W–YWY mixing angles with the more appropriate values: MZ>564 GeVMZ>564 GeV, −0.018<sinφ<00.018<sinφ<0 and |sinθ|<0.043|sinθ|<0.043.  相似文献

The Delzant theorem of symplectic topology is used to derive the completely integrable compactified Ruijsenaars–Schneider IIIbIIIb system from a quasi-Hamiltonian reduction of the internally fused double SU(n)×SU(n)SU(n)×SU(n). In particular, the reduced spectral functions depending respectively on the first and second SU(n)SU(n) factor of the double engender two toric moment maps on the IIIbIIIb phase space CP(n−1)CP(n1) that play the roles of action-variables and particle-positions. A suitable central extension of the SL(2,Z)SL(2,Z) mapping class group of the torus with one boundary component is shown to act on the quasi-Hamiltonian double by automorphisms and, upon reduction, the standard generator S   of the mapping class group is proved to descend to the Ruijsenaars self-duality symplectomorphism that exchanges the toric moment maps. We give also two new presentations of this duality map: one as the composition of two Delzant symplectomorphisms and the other as the composition of three Dehn twist symplectomorphisms realized by Goldman twist flows. Through the well-known relation between quasi-Hamiltonian manifolds and moduli spaces, our results rigorously establish the validity of the interpretation [going back to Gorsky and Nekrasov] of the IIIbIIIb system in terms of flat SU(n)SU(n) connections on the one-holed torus.  相似文献

We construct non-Abelian global string solutions in the UL(N)×UR(N)U(N)L×U(N)R linear sigma model. These strings are the most fundamental objects which are expected to form during the chiral phase transitions, because the Abelian ηη string is marginally decomposed into N   of them. We point out Nambu–Goldstone modes of CPN−1CPN1 for breaking of SUV(N)SU(N)V arise around a non-Abelian vortex.  相似文献

We determine the simple currents and fixed points of the orbifold theory CFTCFT/Z2CFTCFT/Z2, given the simple currents and fixed point of the original CFT  . We see in detail how this works for the SUk(2)SU(2)k WZW model, focusing on the field content (i.e. h  -spectrum of the primary fields) of the theory. We also look at the fixed point resolution of the simple current extended orbifold theory and determine the SJSJ matrices associated to each simple current for SU2(2)SU(2)2 and for the B1(n)B(n)1 and D1(n)D(n)1 series.  相似文献

We investigate gauge-Higgs unification models in eight-dimensional spacetime where extra-dimensional space has the structure of a four-dimensional compact coset space. The combinations of the coset space and the gauge group in the eight-dimensional spacetime of such models are listed. After the dimensional reduction of the coset space, we identified SO(10)SO(10), SO(10)×U(1)SO(10)×U(1) and SO(10)×U(1)×U(1)SO(10)×U(1)×U(1) as the possible gauge groups in the four-dimensional theory that can accomodate the Standard Model and thus is phenomenologically promising. Representations for fermions and scalars for these gauge groups are tabulated.  相似文献

We explore the signals of a charged Higgs arising in a two Higgs doublet model respecting SUL(2)×U(1)×Z2SU(2)L×U(1)×Z2 symmetry with three singlet right-handed neutrinos, NRNR. The charged Higgs in this model has negligible coupling with quarks, and has unsuppressed coupling to leptons and neutrinos. This leads to novel signatures of the charged Higgs at the LHC, especially in the case of an inverted neutrino mass hierarchy, in the form of electrons and muons with missing energy.  相似文献
