The 46Ti(p, γ)47V, 50Cr(p, γ)51Mn, 58Ni(α,γ)62Zn and58Ni (α, p)61Cu cross sections have been measured in the energy range of interest for stellar nucleosynthesis during oxygen and silicon burning. The results are compared with statistical theory calculations which attempt to treat excited state effects and the γ-ray channel more realistically than previous calculations.  相似文献

Following the studies of the distribution of M1 strength in the even-even N = 28 isotones 48Ca, 50Ti, 52Cr and 54Fe by inelastic electron scattering, the result of a search for M1 transitions in the odd-even N = 28 nucleus 51V is reported. No strong M1 excitation has been detected, in contrast to a recent (p, p') experiment. There is no immediate explanation for this discrepancy. Shell-model calculations indicate that a part of it might be accounted for by an interference between the spin and orbital term of the electromagnetic transition operator in the (e, e') experiment.  相似文献

The reaction 6Li(p,n)6Be has been studied by slow-neutron detection, with particular attention to the 6Be ground state threshold. The detector response was calculated by a Monte Carlo technique and verified with a measurement of the 7Li(,n)10B threshold. An analysis of the shape of the 6Be threshold indicated that both s- and p-wave neutrons contribute significantly to the reaction. The results depend on what mode of decay is assumed for the ground state of 6Be. If a two-stage process is assumed, with either an alpha particle and an unbound diproton or 5Li and a proton as intermediate state, the width is found to be 95±28 keV and the Q-value obtained for the 6Li(p,n)6Be reaction is −5074±13 keV. It was not possible to detertmine which process is predominant. No higher thresholds in the slow neutron yield up to 4 MeV of excitation in 6Be were observed. The data above the ground state threshold are consistent with a broad excited state of 6Be or with the occurrence of other neutron-producing reactions.  相似文献

Subjecting a solution of 228Th to ultrasound (20 kHz, 100 W), Cardone et al. [F. Cardone, R. Mignani, A. Petrucci, Phys. Lett. A 373 (2009) 1956] claim to observe an increase in the transformation or decay rate of 228Th by a factor of 104. The evidence provided seems however far from conclusive and in part contradictory to the claims made. In fact, looking at the presented data we find it cannot be taken as justification to discard the null hypothesis, namely, that the data from exposed and non-exposed samples are drawn from the same distribution. We suggest a number of additional tests that should be made in order to improve the quality of the study and test the hypothesis of so-called piezonuclear reactions.  相似文献
