The effect of partial replacement of K+ by Ag+ in the mixed system of KNO3 and AgNO3 during a set of DSC heating cycles was studied by means of a modern computerized DSC system. Thermal analysis was performed in the vicinity of the phase transition II I for pure KNO3. The results revealed a large change in enthalpy and the phase transition temperature close to the morphotropic boundary x=0.5–0.6. At this boundary, the transformation enthalpy reached the maximum value of 101 J g–1. On the basis of the data obtained from this accurate thermal analysis work, a model is suggested for the energy barrier of rotation of the nitrate ion in the mixed nitrate system.  相似文献

Strontium stannate titanate Sr(Sn, Ti)O3 is a solid solution between strontium stannate (SrSnO3) and strontium titanate (SrTiO3). In the present study, it was synthesized at low temperature by the polymeric precursor method, derived from the Pechini process. The powders were calcined in oxygen atmosphere in order to eliminate organic matter and to decrease the amount of SrCO3 formed during the synthesis. The powders were annealed at different temperatures to crystallize the samples into perovskites-type structures. All the compositions were studied by thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA), infrared spectroscopy (IR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The lattice former, Ti4+ and Sn4+, had a meaningful influence in the mass loss, without changing the profile of the TG curves. On the other hand, DTA curves were strongly modified with the Ti4+:Sn4+ proportion in the system indicating that intermediate compounds may be formed during the synthesis being eliminated at different temperature ranges, while SrCO3 elimination occurs at higher temperature as shown by XRD and IR spectra.  相似文献

The cationic polymerization of 1,3-pentadiene (PD) initiated by AlCl_3 in n-hexane was carried out. Effects of arenes, alkyl halides and ethers on the gel formation resulting from crosslinking reaction were investigated. The erosslinking was reduced by various arenes through a chain transfer mechanism. Alkyl halides such as tert-butyl chloride and allyl chloride could complex with AlCl_3 to generate an initiating system giving rise to a gel-free polymerization, while benzyl chloride reduced the formation of gel by chain transfer. Ethers exerted two effects on the polymerization system: giving a complex initiating system with AlCl_3 to produce a relatively high molecular weight polymer, or reducing crosslinking by lowering activity of carbocations.  相似文献

A type (ΔKa = 0) rovibrational lines of the near-prolate asymmetric top 16O14N35Cl have been assigned on high resolution Fourier transform spectra: 820 lines of the ν1 band, centered around 1800 cm−1, 435 lines of the ν1 + ν3 band, centered around 2131 cm−1, and 257 lines of the ν2 + ν3 band, centered around 925 cm−1. Least-squares calculations have been carried out over these lines, using the A reduced Watson's hamiltonian in Ir representation; r.m.s. standard deviations of 0.0016 cm−1, 0.0016 cm−1 and 0.006 cm−1 have been respectively obtained, making it possible to measure molecular constants of the (001), (101) and (011) vibrational levels of 16O14N35Cl.  相似文献

The use of Transwells? for routine cultures of 3T3L1 cells results in a much improved rate of differentiation of fibroblasts to adipocytes (100 % in 9 of 10 tests) compared with bottom-well layer cultures. Mean size of cells was not different, but the cell number and overall cell mass was 3× larger in transwell in spite of a smaller surface area. The difference between both models was the accessibility in transwells of both sides of the cells to the medium (and oxygen). Cells were counted, and their size estimated using a handheld cell counter, Scepter?, designed for blood cells, but adjusted to the larger size of adipocytes. Finally, the effect of nitric oxide was tested using spermineNONOate, a nitric oxide (NO·) donor. The product was released to cultures at a constant 1 μl/h rate for up to 3 days using osmotic Alzet? minipumps held in wells with water and discharging their contents to the cultured cell-laden wells through a short capillary tube. A rate of 0.3 pmol/min/ml of medium did not affect the cells’ size, but 0.4 pmol/min/ml significantly increased cell mass. The methodological improvements presented here allow for more uniform cultured cell yields and a more flexible environment for control of cell size and administration of signaling agents.

Quinones constitute a big family of organic redox active compounds that are overwhelmingly involved in important physiological processes. The most important members in the class of quinones are, indeed, the plastoquinones and the coenzyme Q (CoQ) derivatives. Voltammetry of coenzyme Q family members attracts significant attention since 50 years ago. In this work, we refer to some of the most important voltammetric features of coenzyme Qs studied in aprotic and in aqueous media. While the redox chemistry of coenzyme Q members in non-aqueous aprotic organic solvents can be described by two consecutive one-electron transfer steps, more complex situation exists in the voltammetry of coenzyme Qs performed in aqueous media. Although it has been claimed for a while that the voltammetric processes of coenzyme Qs in aqueous solutions proceed via formation of semiquinone radical intermediate species, it has been recently proven that this can be not completely true. Intensive voltammetric and spectroscopic studies of coenzyme Q systems in buffered and non-buffered aqueous media revealed that hydrogen bonding between electrochemically created CoQ species and the water molecules plays an important role in stabilizing electrochemically generated species of these systems. We also pay attention to the amazing redox chemistry of coenzyme Qs in strong alkaline media, while we refer to the chemical features of novel coenzyme Q derivatives obtained under such conditions. Hints are presented about the antioxidant capacity of some of the novel hydroxylated coenzyme Q systems. Also, the possibility of these systems to bind and transfer earth-alkaline cations across biomimetic membranes is shortly elaborated. In the end, we refer to some relevant theoretical works that describe closely the voltammetric behavior of various coenzyme Q systems. We believe that this short review will contribute towards better understanding of the amazing chemistry of coenzyme Q derivatives.  相似文献

The stretching vibrations of the SnC3Cl group in the infrared spectrum of SnPh3Cl have been reassigned on the basis of an SnC3 group belonging to the C3ν point group which is replaced by D3h in SnPh3Cl2TMN (TMN = tetramethylammonium). The important shift (108 cm−1) of νsSnC3 from SnPh3Cl to SnPh3Cl2 TMN is due to a “C point group inversion” (νsSnC3 is higher in frequency than νasSnC3 in the i.r. spectrum of SnPh3Cl).  相似文献

The 1 3Σg+a 3Σu+ transition in the 7Li2 molecule has been observed in the 8200–10 000 cm−1 region with a high resolution Fourier spectrometer. Rotational analysis of 1 ⩽ υ′ ⩽ 7 of 1 3Σg+ and 0 ⩽ υ″ ⩽ 7 of a 3Σu+ has been carried out. We found De(a 3Σu+) = 332.5 ± 1.0 cm−1 that gives Te(a 3Σu+) = 8184.3 ± 1.5 cm−1 and De(1 3Σg+) = 7090.4 ± 1.5 cm−1 with Te = 16330 ± 2 cm−1.  相似文献

Viscosities of microcrystalline cellulose + 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate ([bmIm][Ac]) solutions (0.6–1.2 wt%) in contact with CO2 were measured at 312 K with a resonant vibrational viscometer. At 4 MPa and 312 K, the CO2 could reduce the viscosity of 1.2 wt% cellulose + [bmIm][Ac] solution by about 80 %, whereas N2 at the same conditions gave less than a 10 % reduction in viscosity. The viscosity-averaged degree of polymerization and IR spectrum showed that cellulose did not decompose during experiments and that [bmIm][Ac] acted as a non-derivatizing solvent during the dissolution and viscosity reduction process. Further, although CO2 does react with [bmIm][Ac] to form 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium-2-carboxylate, the reaction seems to be reversible and it does not affect the cellulose. Thus, [bmIm][Ac] with CO2 provides an effective solvent for cellulose and the solvent system can probably be recycled or reused.  相似文献

A microcalorimetric technique was used to evaluate the influence of La^3 on Halobacterium halobium R1 growth.By means of LKB-2277 bioactivity monitor,ampoule methos at 37℃,the thermogenic curves of Halobacterium halobium R1 growth were obtained.In order to analyze the results,the maximum power Pm and the growth rate constants k were determined,showing that values of Pm and k are linked to the concentration of La^3 .Addition of low concentration of La^3 can cause a decrease of the maximum heat production and growth rate constant.However,high concentration of La^3 may promote growth of Halobacterium halobium R1,but at much higher concentration of La^3 ,the growth of Halobacterium halobium R1 is inhibited again.For comparison,the shapes of Halobacterium halobium R1 cell were observed by means of transmission electron microscope.According to the thermogenic curves and TEM photos of Halobacterium halobium R1 under different conditions,it is clear that metabolic mechanism of Halobacterium halobium R1 growth is changed with the addition of La^3 .  相似文献

The effect silver nanoparticles have on the sorption characteristics of perovskite lanthanum manganite relative to methanol, benzene, and hexane vapors is studied by means of gravimetric equilibrium interval sorption. The state of silver particles is investigated using spectroscopic tools. Sorption data are compared to the catalytic activity in deep oxidation reactions of organic compounds over lanthanum manganite-based catalysts.
