For q ≥ 0, Olsen [1] has attained the exact rate of convergence of the L q -spectrum of a self-similar measure and showed that the so-called empirical multifractal moment measures converges weakly to the normalized multifractal measures. Unfortunately, nothing is known for q < 0. Indeed, the problem of analysing the L q - spectrum for q < 0 is generally considered significantly more difficult since the L q -spectrum is extremely sensitive to small variations of μ for q < 0. In [2] we showed that self-similar measures satisfying the Open Set Condition (OSC) are Ahlfors regular and, using this fact, we obtained the exact rate of convergence of the L q -spectrum of a self-similar measure satisfying the OSC for q < 0. In this paper, we apply the results from [2] to show the empirical multifractal q’th moment measures of self-similar measures satisfying the OSC converges weakly to the normalized multifractal Hausdorff measures for q < 0. We consider a generalization of the Stokes resolvent equation, where the constant viscosity is replaced by a general given positive function. Such a system arises in many situations as linearized system, when the viscosity of an incompressible, viscous fluid depends on some other quantities. We prove that an associated Stokes-like operator generates an analytic semi-group and admits a bounded H -calculus, which implies the maximal L q -regularity of the corresponding parabolic evolution equation. The analysis is done for a large class of unbounded domains with -boundary for some r > d with r ≥ q, q′. In particular, the existence of an L q -Helmholtz projection is assumed.  相似文献

A theorem of Beurling states that if f satisfies , n = 1, 2,..., for some 0 < ρ < 2, on a real interval I, then f is analytic in a rhombus containing I. We study the corresponding problem for the quantum differences Δ n f (q, x), q > 1, n = 1, 2,..., for functions defined on (0, ∞) and prove quantitative and qualitative analogues of Beurling’s result. F. H. Jackson defined aq analogue of the gamma function which extends theq-factorial (n!) q =1(1+q)(1+q+q 2)...(1+q+q 2+...+q n–1) to positivex. Askey studied this function and obtained analogues of most of the classical facts about the gamma function, for 0<q<1. He proved an analogue of the Bohr-Mollerup theorem, which states that a logarithmically convex function satisfyingf(1)=1 andf(x+1)=[(q x –1)/(q–1)]f(x) is in fact theq-gamma function He also studied the behavior of q asq changes and showed that asq1, theq-gamma function becomes the ordinary gamma function forx>0.I proved many of these results forq>1. The current paper contains a study of the behavior of q (x) forx<0 and allq>0. Suppose 1≤p,q≤∞ and α > (1/p−1/q)+. Then we investigate compactness properties of the integral operator when regarded as operator from Lp[0,1] into Lq[0,1]. We prove that its Kolmogorov numbers tend to zero faster than exp(−cαn1/2). This extends former results of Laptev in the case p=q=2 and of the authors for p=2 and q=∞. As application we investigate compactness properties of related integral operators as, for example, of the difference between the fractional integration operators of Riemann–Liouville and Weyl type. It is shown that both types of fractional integration operators possess the same degree of compactness. In some cases this allows to determine the strong asymptotic behavior of the Kolmogorov numbers of Riemann–Liouville operators. We consider the Stokes operator A on unbounded domains of uniform C 1,1-type. Recently, it has been shown by Farwig, Kozono and Sohr that – A generates an analytic semigroup in the spaces , 1 < q < ∞, where for q ≥ 2 and for q ∈ (1, 2). Moreover, it was shown that A has maximal L p -regularity in these spaces for p ∈ (1,∞). In this paper we show that ɛ + A has a bounded H -calculus in for all q ∈ (1, ∞) and ɛ > 0. In this paper we consider, in dimension d≥ 2, the standard finite elements approximation of the second order linear elliptic equation in divergence form with coefficients in L (Ω) which generalizes Laplace’s equation. We assume that the family of triangulations is regular and that it satisfies an hypothesis close to the classical hypothesis which implies the discrete maximum principle. When the right-hand side belongs to L 1(Ω), we prove that the unique solution of the discrete problem converges in (for every q with ) to the unique renormalized solution of the problem. We obtain a weaker result when the right-hand side is a bounded Radon measure. In the case where the dimension is d = 2 or d = 3 and where the coefficients are smooth, we give an error estimate in when the right-hand side belongs to L r (Ω) for some r > 1.  相似文献

We consider semi-stable, radially symmetric, and decreasing solutions of  − Δ p u = g(u) in the unit ball of , where p > 1, Δ p is the p-Laplace operator, and g is a locally Lipschitz function. For this class of radial solutions, which includes local minimizers, we establish pointwise, L q , and W 1,q estimates which are optimal and do not depend on the specific nonlinearity g. Among other results, we prove that every radially decreasing and semi-stable solution u belonging to W 1,p (B 1) is bounded whenever n < p + 4p/(p − 1). Under standard assumptions on the nonlinearity g(u) = λf (u), where λ > 0 is a parameter, it is proved that the corresponding extremal solution u * is semi-stable, and hence, it enjoys the regularity stated in our main result.  相似文献

We prove an assertion about the increase of a solution, weak in the sense of Trudinger, to the Dirichlet problem for m-Hessian equations with the righthand side in L q , q > n(n + 1)/(2m). We estimate the ratio between the increment of the solution along the normal and the distance to the boundary of a domain. The main theme of this paper is to characterize distinguished subclasses of the matricial Schur class in terms of Taylor coefficients. Starting point of our investigations is the observation that the Taylor coefficient sequences of functions from are exactly the infinite p  ×  q Schur sequences. We draw our attention mainly to the subclass of which consists of all p ×  q Schur functions for which the corresponding Taylor coefficient sequences are nondegenerate p  ×  q Schur sequences. Using an appropriate adaptation of the Schur–Potapov algorithm for functions belonging to to infinite sequences of complex p  ×  q matrices we obtain an one-to-one correspondence between infinite nondegenerate p  ×  q Schur sequences and the set of all infinite sequences (Ej)j=0 of strictly contractive complex p  ×  q matrices. Taking into account the construction of this gives us an one-to-one correspondence between and the set of all infinite sequences (Ej)j=0 of strictly contractive complex p  ×  q matrices.
