A new vector long wave-short wave-type model is proposed by resorting to the zero-curvature equation. Based on the resulting Riccati equations related to the Lax pair and the gauge transformations between the Lax pairs, multifold Darboux transformations are constructed for the vector long wave-short wave-type model. This method is general and is suitable for constructing the Darboux transformations of other soliton equations, especially in the absence of symmetric conditions for Lax pairs. As an illustrative example of the application of the Darboux transformations, exact solutions of the two-component long wave-short wave-type model are obtained, including solitons, breathers, and rogue waves of the first, second, third, and fourth orders. All the solutions derived by the Darboux transformations involve square roots of functions, which is not observed in the investigation of other nonlinear integrable equations. This model describes new nonlinear phenomena.  相似文献

A family of integrable differential–difference equations is derived by the method of Lax pairs. A discrete Hamiltonian operator involving two arbitrary real parameters is introduced. When the parameters are suitably selected, a pair of discrete Hamiltonian operators is presented. Bi-Hamiltonian structure of obtained family is established by discrete trace identity. Then, Liouville integrability for the obtained family is proved. Ultimately, through the binary nonlinearization of the Lax pairs and adjoint Lax pairs, every differential–difference equation in obtained family is factored by an integrable symplectic map and a finite-dimensional integrable system in Liouville sense.  相似文献

We discuss a method for seeking integrable boundary conditions for nonlinear equations. For the Boussinesq equation, we find a new boundary condition that is compatible with the Lax pair and has an infinite set of higher symmetries and a Bäcklund transformation. We construct a class of explicit partial solutions of an equation satisfying this boundary condition.  相似文献

By modifying the procedure of binary nonlinearization for the AKNS spectral problem and its adjoint spectral problem under an implicit symmetry constraint,we obtain a finite dimensional system from the Lax pair of the nonlinear Schr¨odinger equation.We show that this system is a completely integrable Hamiltonian system.  相似文献

In this paper, with the computerized symbolic computation, the nonlinearization technique of Lax pairs is applied to find the integrable decompositions for the (2+1)-dimensional Gardner [(2+1)-DG] equation. First, the mono-nonlinearization leads a single Lax pair of the (2+1)-DG equation to a generalized Burgers hierarchy which is linearizable via the Hopf–Cole transformation. Second, by the binary nonlinearization of two symmetry Lax pairs, the (2+1)-DG equation is decomposed into the generalized coupled mixed derivative nonlinear Schrödinger (CMDNLS) system and its third-order extension. Furthermore, the Lax representation and Darboux transformation for the CMDNLS and third-order CMDNLS systems are constructed. Based on the two integrable decompositions, the resonant N-shock-wave solution and an upside-down bell-shaped solitary-wave solution are obtained and the relevant propagation characteristics are discussed through the graphical analysis.  相似文献

In this paper, we present novel integrable symplectic maps, associated with ordinary difference equations, and show how they determine, in a remarkably diverse manner, the integrability, including Lax pairs and the explicit solutions, for integrable partial difference equations which are the discrete counterparts of integrable partial differential equations of Korteweg‐de Vries‐type (KdV‐type). As a consequence it is demonstrated that several distinct Hamiltonian systems lead to one and the same difference equation by means of the Liouville integrability framework. Thus, these integrable symplectic maps may provide an efficient tool for characterizing, and determining the integrability of, partial difference equations.  相似文献

A Lie algebra sl(2) which is isomorphic to the known Lie algebra A1 is introduced for which an isospectral Lax pair is presented, whose compatibility condition leads to a soliton-equation hierarchy. By using the trace identity, its Hamiltonian structure is obtained. Especially, as its reduction cases, a Sine equation and a complex modified KdV(cmKdV) equation are obtained,respectively. Then we enlarge the sl(2) into a bigger Lie algebra sl(4) so that a type of expanding integrable model of the hierarchy is worked out. However, the soliton-equation hierarchy is not integrable couplings. In order to generate the integrable couplings, an isospectral Lax pair is introduced. Under the frame of the zero curvature equation, we generate an integrable coupling whose quasi-Hamiltonian function is derived by employing the variational identity. Finally, two types of computing formulas of the constant γ are obtained, respectively.  相似文献

When both Hamiltonian operators of a bi-Hamiltonian system are pure differential operators, we show that the generalized Kupershmidt deformation (GKD) developed from the Kupershmidt deformation in [10] offers an useful way to construct new integrable system starting from the bi-Hamiltonian system. We construct some new integrable systems by means of the generalized Kupershmidt deformation in the cases of Harry Dym hierarchy, classical Boussinesq hierarchy and coupled KdV hierarchy. We show that the GKD of Harry Dym equation, GKD of classical Boussinesq equation and GKD of coupled KdV equation are equivalent to the new integrable Rosochatius deformations of these soliton equations with self-consistent sources. We present the Lax pair for these new systems. Therefore the generalized Kupershmidt deformation provides a new way to construct new integrable systems from bi-Hamiltonian systems and also offers a new approach to obtain the Rosochatius deformation of soliton equation with self-consistent sources.  相似文献

Staring from a discrete spectral problem, a hierarchy of the lattice soliton equations is derived. It is shown that each lattice equation in resulting hierarchy is Liouville integrable discrete Hamiltonian system. The binary nonlinearization of the Lax pairs and the adjoint Lax pairs of the resulting hierarchy is discussed. Each lattice soliton equation in the resulting hierarchy can be factored by an integrable symplectic map and a finite-dimensional integrable system in Liouville sense. Summary We consider equations in 2+1 solvable in terms of a nonlocal Riemann-Hilbert problem and show that for such an equation there exists a unified dressing method which yields: (i) a Lax pair suitable for obtaining solutions that are perturbations of an arbitrary exact solution of the given equation; (ii) certain integrable generalizations of the given equation. Using this generalized dressing method large classes of solutions of these equations, including dromions and line dromions, can be obtained. The method is illustrated by using theN-wave interactions, the Davey-Stewartson I, and the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili I equations. We also show that a careful application of the usual dressing method yields a certain generalization of theN-wave interactions.  相似文献

We study the covariance with respect to Darboux transformations of polynomial differential and difference operators with coefficients given by functions of one basic field. In the scalar (Abelian) case, the functional dependence is established by equating the Frechet differential (the first term of the Taylor series on the prolonged space) to the Darboux transform; a Lax pair for the Boussinesq equation is considered. For a pair of generalized Zakharov-Shabat problems (with differential and shift operators) with operator coefficients, we construct a set of integrable nonlinear equations together with explicit dressing formulas. Non-Abelian special functions are fixed as the fields of the covariant pairs. In this paper, we investigate the integrability and equivalence relationships of six coupled Korteweg–de Vries equations. It is shown that the six coupled Korteweg–de Vries equations are identical under certain invertible transformations. We reconsider the matrix representations of the prolongation algebra for the Painlevé integrable coupled Korteweg–de Vries equation in [Appl. Math. Lett. 23 (2010) 665‐669] and propose a new Lax pair of this equation that can be used to construct exact solutions with vanishing boundary conditions. It is also pointed out that all the six coupled Korteweg–de Vries equations have fourth‐order Lax pairs instead of the fifth‐order ones. Moreover, the Painlevé integrability of the six coupled Korteweg–de Vries equations are examined. It is proved that the six coupled Korteweg–de Vries equations are all Painlevé integrable and have the same resonant points, which further determines the equivalence among them. Finally, the auto‐Bäcklund transformation and exact solutions of one of the six coupled Korteweg–de Vries equations are proposed explicitly. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Knowledge of the Lax pair and the Darboux transformation for a completely integrable system provides an iterative approach for generating exact solutions. This approach involves solving for the eigenfunction of the Lax pair at each step. But this process can be considerably simplified using the Bäcklund transformation and Bianchi's permutability theorem. This allows constructing the so-called nonlinear superposition formula, which provides a new solution of the system in terms of three previous solutions. The advantage of this approach is that the differential order of the nonlinear superposition formulas is lower than that of the Lax pairs, and in some cases, these formulas reduce to algebraic equations. We consider the construction of new nonlinear superposition formulas in the form of both differential equations and algebraic equations.  相似文献

We construct well-known integrable equations with their Lax pairs from the corresponding linear equations using our nonlinearization scheme. Using negative powers in the spectral flow to deform the time Lax operator, we find a class of perturbations that unlike the usual perturbations, which spoil the system integrability, exhibit a twofold integrable hierarchy, including those for the KdV, modified KdV, sine-Gordon, nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS), and derivative NLS equations. We discover hidden possibilities of using the perturbed hierarchy of the NLS equations to amplify and control optical solitons propagating through a fiber in a doped nonlinear resonant medium.  相似文献

A noncommutative version of the TC soliton equation hierarchy is presented, which possesses the zero curvature representation. Then, we show that noncommutative (NC) TC equation can be derived from the noncommutative (anti-)self-dual Yang-Mills equation by reduction. In this paper, we construct a new integrable equation called Mbius-Toda equation which is a generalization of q-Toda equation. Meanwhile its soliton solutions are constructed to show its integrable property. Further the Lax pairs of the Mbius-Toda equation and a whole integrable Mbius-Toda hierarchy are also constructed. To show the integrability, the bi-Hamiltonian structure and tau symmetry of the Mbius-Toda hierarchy are given and this leads to the existence of the tau function.  相似文献

In this paper,aiming to get more insight on the relation between the higher order semidiscrete mKdV equations and higher order mKdV equations,we construct a fifth order semidiscrete mKdV equation from the three known semidiscrete mKdV fluxes.We not only give its Lax pairs,Darboux transformation,explicit solutions and infinitely many conservation laws,but also show that their continuous limits yield the corresponding results for the fifth order mKdV equation.We thus conclude that the fifth order discrete mKdV equation is extremely an useful discrete scheme for the fifth order mKdV equation.  相似文献

A vector analog of the classical Calapso equation governing isothermic surfaces in R n +2 is introduced. It is shown that this vector Calapso system admits a nonlocal) scalar Lax pair based on the classical Moutard equation. The analog of Darboux's Bäcklund transformation for isothermic surfaces in R3 is derived in a systematic manner and shown that it may be formulated in terms of the classical Moutard transformation acting on the scalar Lax pair. A permutability theorem for isothermic surfaces is set down that manifests itself in an explicit superposition principle for the vector Calapso system. This superposition principle in vectorial form is shown to constitute an integrable discretization of the vector Calapso system and, therefore, defines discrete isothermic surfaces in R n +2. The discrete Calapso equation is related to the discrete Korteweg–de Vries equation and discrete holomorphic functions. A matrix Lax pair based on Clifford algebras and a scalar Lax pair are derived for the discrete Calapso equation. A discrete Moutard-type transformation for the discrete Calapso equation is obtained, and it is shown that the discrete Calapso equation may be specialized to an integrable discrete version of the O( n +2) nonlinear σ-model.  相似文献
