采用时域有限差分法数值求解Maxwell方程组,分析了平面随机介质中光波模式的频谱时间演化特性.随机介质的特征可以用散射颗粒的随机构形、介质参数(如颗粒的尺寸和填充率等)以及介质形态等因素来描述.这些因素决定了随机介质在准稳态下模式的频率特性与数量,但具有不同因素的随机介质中模式的产生、选择与演化,具有大致相同的特征与速度.平面随机介质的这些冷腔特性,与传统光腔中模式的产生、选择和演化的特征非常相似. 关键词: 激光物理 随机激光器 无序介质中的光学特性  相似文献

冷原子介质中的光孤子在电磁感应透明(EIT)的作用下表现出很多奇异的特性,对描述这些特性的理论模型的研究在光信号处理和传输方面具有重要的意义. 描述三能级冷原子EIT介质中空间孤立子演化的二维饱和非线性薛定谔方程被转化成辛结构的Hamilton系统, 利用辛几何算法离散Hamilton系统得到了相应离散的辛格式,并且利用辛格式数值模拟了三能级冷原子EIT介质中在相同振辐不同相位的两个、四个光孤子的相互作用行为. 数值实验结果表明: 冷原子介质中多个光孤子的相互作用行为不但与入射高斯光束的相位有关,还和入射高斯光束的方向有关. 入射的高斯光束能在冷原子介质中形成稳定的孤立子.  相似文献

The(2 1)-dimensional nonlinear Schr(o)dinger(NLS)equation with spatially inhomogeneous nonlinearities is investigated,which describes propagation of light in(2 1)-dimensional nonlinear optical media with inhomogeneous nonlinearities.New types of optical modes and nonlinear effects in optical media are presented numerically.The results reveal that the regular split of beam can be obtained in (2 1)-dimensional nonlinear optical media with inhomogeneous nonlinearities,by adjusting the guiding parameter.Furthermore,the stability of beam regular split is discussed numerically,and the results reveal that the beam regular split is stable to the finite initial perturbations.  相似文献

抑制散射介质对光的散射,调控光在散射介质中的传输,是光通信、生物光子学、光镊等领域的重要课题.设计并实现了基于宽谱光源和数字相位共轭的可调控光在散射介质中传输的时间反演实验系统.实验获取了不同相干长度下物光和参考光束之间的光程差与干涉图样、相位图及时间反演信号之间的关系,分析了光源相干性对调控光在散射介质中传输的影响.实验结果表明,基于宽谱光源的相干特性和数字相位共轭技术,通过调节光程差能选择性获取同一散射角度及相同传输路径的光束的相对相位,再利用空间光调制器对参考光束进行调控,实现光束的反向传播,从而选择性实现对同一散射角度及相同传输路径的光的时间反演.  相似文献

Monte Carlo model of optical coherence tomography is developed for simulation of photon transport in half infinite homogenous media. The procedure is accelerated by scaling the baseline data from standard Monte Carlo calculation in turbid media with arbitrary optical parameters. Gaussian beam is modeled by hyperboloid of one sheet for actual condition to obtain distribution of photons on sample surface. Depth dependence coherent signal and photons distribution are calculated in this way, which is important to reconstruction of optical parameters by inverse Monte Carlo. Numerical results have verified this method in turbid medium of different optical parameters with acceptable relative errors.  相似文献

In homogeneous negative phase velocity media, the Doppler and Cherenkov-Vavilov effects and the refraction and pressure of light are anomalous: they are inverse with respect to the corresponding effects in conventional media. Using the geometrical optics approximation, it is shown that the optical Magnus effect in inhomogeneous negative phase velocity media is also anomalous. The effect is demonstrated by considering a metamaterial consisting of parallel amorphous ferromagnetic microwires in a magnetic field. The metamaterial proves to be a left-handed one in the realistic region of the electromagnetic spectrum. The optical properties of such a left-handed medium can be controlled by the external magnetic field.  相似文献

“Laser-assisted magnetic recording”, in which a recording media is heated by a laser beam while writing data, is attracting attention as a technology that enables a recording density of 1 Tb/in.2. There exists another technology for media in which the recording layer is constructed with many small projections that enable high magnetic coercivity. This is called “patterned media”. For developing hard disk drives using these methods, we developed a simulator that analyzes the optical intensity distribution from the optical head for laser-assisted recording and the temperature profile on the patterned media. The simulator calculates the optical model using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The thermal analysis of the three-dimensional model allows fast calculations using the alternating direction implicit (ADI) method. The heat source distribution data for thermal analysis is calculated in order to use the results of optical analysis. The optical and thermal analyses of the laser-assisted recording model were investigated with the simulator.  相似文献

We investigate the energy exchange between (3+1)D colliding spatiotemporal solitons (STSs) in dispersive media with cubic-quintic (CQ) nonlinearity by numerical simulations. Energy exchange between two (3+1)D head on colliding STSs caused by their phase difference is observed, just as occurring in other optical media. Moreover, energy exchange between two head-on colliding STSs with different speeds is firstly shown in the CQ and saturable media. This phenomenon, we believe, may arouse some interest in the future studies of soliton collision in optical media.  相似文献

An overview of the theory of self-guided optical beams, spatial optical solitons supported by non-Kerr non-linearities, is presented. This includes bright and dark solitons in optical media with intensity-dependent non-linear response as well as two-component solitary waves supported by parametric wave mixing in quadratic or cubic media. The properties of non-linear spatially localized waves are discussed for qualitatively different types of soliton bearing non-integrable non-linear models, including the scalar model described by a generalized non-linear Schrödinger equation and the models of the second- and third-harmonic generation. Special attention is paid to the recent advances of the theory of soliton stability and soliton internal modes.  相似文献

By integrating gas in scattering media absorption spectroscopy and frequency domain photon migration a new method is developed for the study of optical porosity and optical properties of porous media, in our case ceramics. The optical porosity is defined as the ratio of the path length through the gas-filled pores and the physical path length through the whole medium. The effective refractive index of the porous ceramics is also retrieved based on the optical porosity, which is then used to evaluate the reduced scattering coefficients of the porous ceramics. The combined method provides a new way to study light propagation in porous media. A modified Looyenga model is proposed to study the relationship between the physical porosity and the effective refractive index of the porous medium, which also connects the optical and physical porosities, and provides the possibility to use the present method for porosimetry analysis.  相似文献

A simple model is worked out to investigate laser-induced fluorescence in media of arbitrary optical thicknesses at the excitation wavelength. Close-form expressions are obtained for laser fluence, absorbed energy density and emitted fluorescence signal as a function of optical thickness and incident laser fluence. It is shown that in optically thick media saturation curves are not proportional to density of the species excited by the laser, except at saturation, and that the saturation fluence increases with optical thickness. Experimental saturation curves of lead in laser-produced plasmas of brass are discussed in the light of this model.  相似文献

The properties of light transmission and interference phenomena in high dense media are investigated by means of numerical simulations in terms of nonlinear optical effect. Large intensity fluctuations are observed for nonlinear absorbing media, and do not agree with the fact that a decrease in absorption efficiency results in smaller intensity fluctuations for linear absorption media. From a variation in the speckle contrast it is found that the high-order path-crossing contributes to such intensity fluctuations. Moreover, the probability density of the total transmission changes from Gaussian statistics to log-normal ones for the small total transmission and to negative exponential ones for the large transmission, both of which appear in the strong localization regime. This indicates that the localization of optical waves might be controlled by the nonlinearity of the media.  相似文献

There is significant motivation to develop media with negative refractive indices at optical frequencies, but efforts in this direction are hampered by the weakness of the magnetic response at such frequencies. We show theoretically that a nonmagnetic medium with two atomic or molecular constituents can exhibit a negative refractive index. A negative index is possible even when the real parts of both the permittivity and permeability are positive. This surprising result provides a route to isotropic negative-index media at optical frequencies.  相似文献

Diffuse optical tomography is a novel imaging technique that resolves and quantifies the optical properties of objects buried in turbid media. Typically, numerical solutions of the diffusion equation are employed to construct the tomographic problem when media of complex geometries are investigated. Numerical methods offer implementation simplicity but also significant computation burden, especially when large three-dimensional reconstructions are involved. We present an alternative method of performing tomography of diffuse media of arbitrary geometries by means of an analytical approach, the Kirchhoff approximation. We show that the method is extremely efficient in computation times and consider its potential as a real-time three-dimensional imaging tool.  相似文献

用时域有限差分法研究了同一材质的颗粒在不同填充密度下的随机介质中光局域化问题. 依据随机介质激光的实验参数,模拟了颗粒填充密度不同的随机介质中光场的空间分布. 结果表明:当散射颗粒的散射平均自由程与波长相当时,随机介质中的光场分布呈现局域化的特征,而且随着颗粒填充密度增大,光场的局域化程度增强. 因此,在同样的抽运激励下,颗粒填充密度越大的随机增益介质越容易产生激光辐射. 数值模拟结果与实验定性符合. 关键词: 随机激光 时域有限差分法 颗粒填充密度 局域化  相似文献

采用曲线拟合反演算法来恢复时间分辨系统中的真实光脉冲信号,从中可提取出介质光学参量.在模拟人体组织光学参量的模型介质试验中,利用时间相关的单光子计数系统测量光子的逸出曲线,拟合的结果验证了算法的可行性.  相似文献

从标量Helmholtz方程出发,推导了对数饱和非线性介质中光场满足的非线性Schr dinger方程(NLSE)。通过与梯度折射率下的光场满足的方程比较,发现高斯光束在对数型饱和非线性介质中可自诱导梯度折射率。利用数值计算,详细地讨论了自诱导梯度折射率对高斯光束传输特性的影响。发现高斯光束在其自诱导的梯度折射率的影响下,呈振荡形式的准稳定的传输。光束注入介质中的初始状态,直接影响着光束的振荡形式(先发散还是先聚焦)、振荡深度(幅度)、振荡周期。得到高斯光束形成孤子的条件,以及若使高斯光束在对数饱和非线性介质中保持小损耗、高稳定的传输,应该使光束在阈值(孤子条件)附近注入介质的结论。  相似文献

从信号的多尺度小波分解和正交小波变换出发,将描述光学介质中脉冲传输的非线性薛定谔 方程(NLSE)表示为小波域中的分步算符形式,给出了分步小波算法的迭代公式,导出了线 性算符在小波域中的具体表式,并讨论微分算符的矩阵结构.作为一个例子,用分步小波方 法(SSWM)解NLSE,给出了超短高斯脉冲在光纤中线性和非线性传输的波形演化,并与解析 解和分步傅里叶方法的结果作了比较.结果表明,分步小波方法是研究脉冲在光学介质中传 输的一种有效的数值计算方法. 关键词: 分步小波方法 光脉冲传输 非线性薛定谔方程 多尺度小波分解  相似文献
