ABSTRACT

We study the Nordström–Vlasov system, which describes the dynamics of a self-gravitating ensemble of collisionless particles in the framework of the Nordström scalar theory of gravitation. If the speed of light c is considered as a parameter, it is known that in the Newtonian limit c → ∞ the Vlasov–Poisson system is obtained. In this paper we determine a higher approximation and establish a pointwise error estimate of order 𝒪(c ?4). Such an approximation is usually called a 1.5 post-Newtonian approximation.  相似文献

We prove that a star-configuration 𝕏 in ?2 is defined by general forms of degrees ≤2 if and only if 𝕏 has generic Hilbert function. We also show that if 𝕏 and 𝕐 are star-configurations in ?2 defined by general forms of degrees ≤2 and σ(𝕏) ≠ σ(𝕐), then the ring R/(I 𝕏 + I 𝕐) has the Weak Lefschetz property. These two results generalize results of Ahn and Shin [3 Ahn , J. , Shin , Y. S. ( 2012 ). The minimal free resolution of a star-configuration in ? n and the weak lefschetz property . J. Korean Math. Soc. 49 ( 2 ): 405417 . [Google Scholar]]. Furthermore, we find the Lefschetz element of the graded Artinian ring R/(I 𝕏 + I ?) precisely when 𝕏 and ? are two star-configurations in ?2 defined by general forms F 1,…, F s , and G 1,…, G s , L, respectively, with deg F i  = deg G i  = 2 for every i ≥ 1, and deg L = 1 with s ≥ 3.  相似文献

The combining quasineutral and inviscid limit of the Navier–Stokes–Poisson system in the torus 𝕋 d , d ≥ 1 is studied. The convergence of the Navier–Stokes–Poisson system to the incompressible Euler equations is proven for the global weak solution and for the case of general initial data.  相似文献

Let R be a ring and 𝒲 a self-orthogonal class of left R-modules which is closed under finite direct sums and direct summands. A complex C of left R-modules is called a 𝒲-complex if it is exact with each cycle Z n (C) ∈ 𝒲. The class of such complexes is denoted by 𝒞𝒲. A complex C is called completely 𝒲-resolved if there exists an exact sequence of complexes D · = … → D ?1 → D 0 → D 1 → … with each term D i in 𝒞𝒲 such that C = ker(D 0 → D 1) and D · is both Hom(𝒞𝒲, ?) and Hom(?, 𝒞𝒲) exact. In this article, we show that C = … → C ?1 → C 0 → C 1 → … is a completely 𝒲-resolved complex if and only if C n is a completely 𝒲-resolved module for all n ∈ ?. ABSTRACT

Let X be the surface 𝕋 × 𝕋, where 𝕋 is the complex torus. This article is the third in a series studying the fundamental group of the Galois cover of X with respect to a generic projection onto ??2.

Van Kampen Theorem gives a presentation of the fundamental group of the complement of the branch curve, with 54 generators and more than 2000 relations. Here we introduce a certain natural quotient (obtained by identifying pairs of generators), prove it is a quotient of a Coxeter group related to the degeneration of X, and show that this quotient is virtually nilpotent.

In this article, working with the sphere 𝕊 d embedded in the (d + 1)-dimensional Euclidean space ? d+1 as the underlying manifold, we obtain an error estimate for interpolating functions f ∈ H μ from shifts of a smooth positive definite function defined on 𝕊 d , where H μ is a Sobolev space. Let d and n be positive integers with n ≥ d + 1 and 𝒫 ? ? d an integral cyclic polytope of dimension d with n vertices, and let K[𝒫] = K[?≥0𝒜𝒫] denote its associated semigroup K-algebra, where 𝒜𝒫 = {(1, α) ∈ ? d+1: α ∈ 𝒫} ∩ ? d+1 and K is a field. In the present paper, we consider the problem when K[𝒫] is Cohen–Macaulay by discussing Serre's condition (R 1), and we give a complete characterization when K[𝒫] is Gorenstein. Moreover, we study the normality of the other semigroup K-algebra K[Q] arising from an integral cyclic polytope, where Q is a semigroup generated by its vertices only.  相似文献

In this paper, we study some modified linear restriction estimates of the dynamics generated by Schrödinger operator on metric cone M, where the metric cone M is of the form M = (0, ∞) r  × Σ, with the cross section Σ being a compact (n ? 1)-dimensional Riemannian manifold (Σ, h) and the equipped metric being g = dr 2 + r 2 h. Assuming the initial data possesses additional regularity in angular variable θ ∈ Σ, we show some linear restriction estimates for the solutions. In terms of their applications, we obtain global-in-time Strichartz estimates for radial initial data and show small initial data scattering theory for the mass-critical nonlinear Schrödinger equation on two-dimensional metric cones.  相似文献

We study the category 𝒞(X, Y) generated by an exceptional pair (X, Y) in a hereditary category ?. If r = dim k Hom(X, Y) ≥ 1 we show that there are exactly 3 possible types for 𝒞(X, Y), all derived equivalent to the category of finite dimensional modules mod(H r ) over the r-Kronecker algebra H r . In general 𝒞(X, Y) will not be equivalent to a module category. More specifically, if ? is the category of coherent sheaves over a weighted projective line 𝕏, then 𝒞(X, Y) is equivalent to the category of coherent sheaves on the projective line ?1 or to mod(H r ) and, if 𝕏 is wild, then every r ≥ 1 can occur in this way.  相似文献

Consider an irreducible polynomial of the form f(X) = X p  ? aX ? b ∈ 𝔽[X] and α a root of f(X), where 𝔽 is a field of characteristic p. In 1975, F.J. Sullivan stated a lemma that provides the trace, taken with respect to the extension 𝔽(α)/𝔽, of elements of the form α n , where 0 ≤ n ≤ p 2 ? 1. We present a generalization of Sullivan's Lemma and provide another proof of the original lemma. Let (R, 𝔪) be a commutative, noetherian, local ring, E the injective hull of the residue field R/𝔪, and M ○○ = Hom R (Hom R (M, E), E) the bidual of an R-module M. We investigate the elements of Ass(M ○○) as well as those of Coatt(M) = {𝔭 ∈ Spec(R)|𝔭 = Ann R (Ann M (𝔭))} and provide criteria for equality in one of the two inclusions Ass(M) ? Ass(M ○○) ? Coatt(M). If R is a Nagata ring and M a minimax module, i.e., an extension of a finitely generated R-module by an artinian R-module, we show that Ass(M ○○) = Ass(M) ∪ {𝔭 ∈ Coatt(M)| R/𝔭 is incomplete}.  相似文献

Let F = ?x, y? be a free group. It is known that the commutator [x, y ?1] cannot be expressed in terms of basic commutators, in particular in terms of Engel commutators. We show that the laws imposing such an expression define specific varietal properties. For a property 𝒫 we consider a subset U(𝒫) ? F such that every law of the form [x, y ?1] ≡ u, u ∈ U(𝒫) provides the varietal property 𝒫. For example, we show that each subnormal subgroup is normal in every group of a variety 𝔙 if and only if 𝔙 satisfies a law of the form [x, y ?1] ≡ u, where u ∈ [F′, ?x?].  相似文献

We compute the second 𝔬𝔰𝔭(1 | 2) ?relative cohomology space of 𝒦(1) with coefficients in the module of λ-densities 𝔉λ on S 1|1. This result allows us to compute the second 𝔬𝔰𝔭(1 | 2) ?relative cohomology space of 𝒦(1) with coefficients in the Poisson superalgebra 𝒮𝒫. We consider the spherically symmetric, asymptotically flat Einstein–Vlasov system. We find explicit conditions on the initial data, with ADM mass M, such that the resulting spacetime has the following properties: there is a family of radially outgoing null geodesics where the area radius r along each geodesic is bounded by 2M, the timelike lines \({r=c\in [0,2M]}\) are incomplete, and for r > 2M the metric converges asymptotically to the Schwarzschild metric with mass M. The initial data that we construct guarantee the formation of a black hole in the evolution. We give examples of such initial data with the additional property that the solutions exist for all r ≥ 0 and all Schwarzschild time, i.e., we obtain global existence in Schwarzschild coordinates in situations where the initial data are not small. Some of our results are also established for the Einstein equations coupled to a general matter model characterized by conditions on the matter quantities.  相似文献

Abstract

For a canonical threefold X, we know that h 0(X, 𝒪 X (nK X )) ≥ 1 for a sufficiently large n. When χ(𝒪 X ) > 0, it is not easy to get such an integer n. Fletcher showed that h 0(X, 𝒪 X (12K X )) ≥ 1 and h 0(X, 𝒪 X (24K X )) ≥ 2 when χ(𝒪 X ) = 1. He inquired about existence of a canonical threefold with given conditions which shows the result sharp. We show that such an example does not exist. Using a different technique, we prove h 0(X, 𝒪 X (12K X )) ≥ 2.  相似文献

Let (A, ?) be a structurable algebra. Then the opposite algebra (A op , ?) is structurable, and we show that the triple system B op A(x, y, z):=Vopx,y(z)=x(y¯z)+z(y¯x)?y(x¯z), x, y, z ∈ A, is a Kantor triple system (or generalized Jordan triple system of the second order) satisfying the condition (A). Furthermore, if A=𝔸1?𝔸2 denotes tensor products of composition algebras, (?) is the standard conjugation, and () denotes a certain pseudoconjugation on A, we show that the triple systems B op 𝔸1?𝔸2 ( x , y¯, z) are models of compact Kantor triple systems. Moreover these triple systems are simple if (dim𝔸1, dim𝔸2) ≠ (2, 2). In addition, we obtain an explicit formula for the canonical trace form for compact Kantor triple systems defined on tensor products of composition algebras.  相似文献
