Zero field muon spin rotation and magnetic susceptibility experiments on investigation of magnetic properties of cuprateY 2Cu2O5 have been performed in the temperature range 4.2–30 K. Transverse fieldSR-experiments have been also carried out in order to obtain accurate information about transition temperature and to study the influence of the external magnetic field. Our data show that two magnetic phase transitions occur inY 2Cu2O5 with lowering temperature. Upper Neel temperatureT N=13 K is consistent with previous experimental data. We obtained the temperature dependence of the local magnetic field on the muonB (T) in the antiferromagnetic phase.B (T) reveals a peculiarity (some change of the slope) near the temperatureT N=7.5 K, which can be interpreted as an additional magnetic phase transition caused by a change in magnetic ordering of the copper subsystem. Applying a small external magnetic field 50 Oe leads to smearing of the peculiarity inB (T) dependence.  相似文献

Electrical resistivity measurements under pressure have been carried out on the high-temperature superconductor YBa2Cu3O7 – as a function of temperature T between 1 and 300 K at various pressures between 8 kbar and 149 kbar. The superconducting transition temperature Tc increases almost linearly with pressure at the rate dTc/dP - 0.13 K/kbar. The onset of Tc, defined as the temperature at which(T) drops to 90% of its extrapolated normal state value, increases from 95 K at 8 kbar to 107 K at 149 kbar. These results suggest that higher pressures will yield yet higher values of Tc.  相似文献

57Fe Mössbauer spectra recorded in situ in vacuo from chromium- and gallium-doped Fe3O4 at elevated temperatures show the dopant ions to depress the Curie temperature of Fe3O4 by ca. 70 K. Spectra recorded from aluminium-doped -Fe2O3 show the onset of conversion to aluminium-doped -Fe2O3 to begin at ca. 750 K, which is ca. 100 K above the conversion temperature for undoped -Fe2O3. The variation in magnetic hyperfine fields at temperatures exceeding ca. 750 K is similar to that recorded from -Fe2O3 when doped with zinc or magnesium. At temperatures exceeding 900 K the zinc doped -Fe2O3 partially converts to spinel-related ZnFe2O4.  相似文献

Temperature-dependent quasiparticle recombination lifetimes exp(T) and densitiesN 0 of electronic states at the Fermi level have been measured from time decay experiments of excess quasiparticle concentrations in evaporated, superconducting Al- and Pb-tunnel junctions. Current pulses were used to inject excess, nonthermal quasiparticles in a single junction acting simultaneously as generator and detector. The experimental lifetimes in unperturbed Al show satisfactory agreement with calculations based on the 2-phonon trapping lifetime model. exp decreases with increasing perturbations of the Al film structure by oxygen background evaporation. In Pb the measured times indicate 2-phonon volume losses. The densitiesN 0 in Pb-films and unperturbed as well as oxygen-perturbed Al-films differ by less than 5% from the corresponding bulk material data. Therefore, in trying to explain the enhancement of the transition temperature from 1.23 K to 1.85 K in perturbed, granular Al-films a change ofN 0 can be ruled out.  相似文献

Coherent Stokes and anti-Stokes Raman scattering CSRS and CARS have been employed to study the spectroscopy of nitrogen molecules and clusters in the expansion of a supersonic jet. In the vibrational spectrum, at strong stagnation conditions, an intense redshifted peak is observed which can be assigned to the intramolecular vibrations in large N2 clusters having adopted the -phase structure. Another weak feature is assigned to nitrogen clusters in the -phase. In the rotational region of the spectrum only monomer features have been observed. The failing to observe librational motions is consistent with the finding that the nitrogen clusters are predominantly in the orientationally unordered -phase. The low rotational temperature suggests supercooling of the -phase.  相似文献

The ac resistivity of a 110 K phase multiphase polycrystalline Ca-Sr-Bi-Cu-O compound and an 85 K phase single-crystalline Ca0.9Sr2.1Cu2.0O8 + has been measured in various magnetic fields up to 8 T. Values forB c 2/ (0) of 71.5 T and forB c2 (0) of 542 T are found for the 85 K phase sample. A value forB c2(0) of 57.9 T is estimated for the 110K phase compound.  相似文献

A cluster of two atoms described by thes-f model with Coulomb repulsion has been considered. The interaction between localized 4f electrons (S=1/2) is taken in the molecular field approximation. The thermodynamic quantities like magnetization, specific heat and correlation functions n , n , S z n , S z n , S z (n n ), n n and S + a + a as functions of temperature are presented for different band fillingN=0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2. The dependence of Curie temperature onN is calculated. The phase diagram forN=1 (T=0K) shows the possibility of existence of two phases: paramagnetic and ferromagnetic.The Curie temperature and the specific heat as functions ofN exhibit similar trends as found in experiments on doped magnetic semiconductors.  相似文献

The behaviour of the -hyperon electric and magnetic form factors is predicted within the modified three resonance ((783), (1020), (1680)) vector-meson dominance (VMD) model with correct analytic properties and the asymptotic behaviour predestinated by the quark model for baryons. The resonance couplings to are evaluated from the known couplings to nucleons by utilizing theSU(3) symmetry and normalization conditions for Dirac and Pauli form factors. The masses and widths of the considered vector mesons are fixed at the world averaged values. The optimal position of the effective inelastic threshold, common for Dirac and Pauli form factors, is determined from the fit of the only existing Orsay DM2 point on the cross section att=5·693 GeV2. The mean square charge and magnetic radii of the -hyperon are found to be r E 2 =0·018 F2 and r M 2 =–0·027 F2, respectively.The authors are very much indebted to Prof. R. Results are given of measurements over the temperature range 80–1000 ° K of the magnetic susceptibility () and the electrical resistivity () of the highest chromium germanide Cr11Ge19. A ferromagnetic spin ordering is indicated at T < 86 ° K. From the (T) dependence and the values of the resistivity, thermo-emf and Hall constant, it is concluded that the compound studied is a semimetal with p-type conductivity.  相似文献

The paper gives the measurements of the Seebeck coefficient in the temperature range of 20 to 600C on single crystals with a chemical composition of Mn x Fe3–x O4, Ox<2·5. In the neighbourhood of the Curie temperature no anomalous behaviour in the temperature dependence was observed in the majority of cases. The behaviour of magnetite differs from that of other manganese ferrites which can be described well by the phenomenological theory with localized electron levels.In conclusion, the author would like to thank Dr. S. Zero field SR spectra from Cr85Mo15 are well described by the sum of a lightly damped (0.02s–1<1<0.2s–1) and a heavily damped (2s–1<2<15s–1) exponential. The temperature dependence of these components is discussed in relation to the condensation of the incommensurate spin density wave and the onset of the antiferromagnetic state in this Cr-like alloy below TN=120K. Evidence is presented for the nucleation of the spin density wave at temperatures greater than 1.5TN.  相似文献

We report the results of ac-susceptibility and dc-magnetization measurements for HyGd2CuO4 (0y0.54). It is shown thatH doping lowers the weak ferromagnetic component in the material. The distinct hysteresis loops observed atT=77 K for both non- and hydrogenated samples change its shape withy. The magnetic ordering temperatures T N Cu and T N Gd , as determined from the temperature dependencies of ac-susceptibility, remain unchanged with sample's hydrogenation. This result seems to indicate that extra electrons are not doped onto the Cu-O planes of Gd2CuO4. The frequency dependencies ofx(, T) andx(, T) for bothy=0 andy=0.15 samples are analysed., The maximums ofx andx found at about 200K are considered in terms of susceptibility dependence on the spin-lattice relaxation time (). The anomalies in ac-susceptibility found recently in Gd2CuO4 atT a=8 K andT b=9.5 K decrease significantly withy. Results are discussed in the context of available data on 214T-type compounds.  相似文献

We report measurements of the electrical resistivity, the thermal conductivityk and the thermoelectric powerS between 1.5K and 300K on the anomalous CeCu2Si2 compound and on LaCu2Si2 as reference compound. For LaCu2Si2 the temperature dependences of andS are in accord with those found in otherd band metals. For CeCu2Si2 the observed resistivity (220 µ cm at 200K) leads to a very short electronic mean free path which is of the order of the Ce-Ce spacing. Correspondingly,k is almost identical with the phonon contributionk p . Below 20K, resistivity and thermoelectric power strongly suggest Fermi liquid behavior with a degeneracy temperature between 20K and 40K. An experimental setup for gas-temperature diagnostics using Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering (CARS) in very small sample volumes with great spatial and temporal temperature variations is presented. Studies have been started of a newly designed transversely heated graphite-tube atomizer for atomic absorption spectrometry (Perkin-Elmer, 4100 ZL). For the investigations, high spatial resolution and precise time synchronization of the measurements and also automatic control of the time-dependent intensity of the anti-Stokes signal were realized. The graphite-tube atomizer also offers the possibility of high-temperature-gas spectroscopy. A high-temperature CARS spectrum of CO2, recorded in the graphite tube at 2300 K, is shown for the first time. A number of hot-band transitions in the spectral region of the Fermi doublet at a Raman shift from 1230 to 1450cm–1 was observed and assigned, making possible the use of CO2 as spectroscopic thermometer gas, similar to N2.  相似文献

We report measurements of the elastic and inelastic neutron scattering, initial susceptibility and high-field magnetization on thoroughly prepared poly- and single crystalline samples of CeB6. Part of these experiments have been performed at temperatures down to 60 mK and magnetic fields up to 70 kØe. Our neutron-diffraction data provide the first proof that CeB6 is an antiferromagnet belowT N2K as has been suggested by previous bulk experiments. The reduced value of the low-temperature magnetic moment both below and aboveT N points to the existence of a Kondo effect of the 7 crystal-field (CF) ground state of Ce3+. From the low-temperature width of the quasielastic neutron line, the Kondo temperature is inferred to beT K3 K. The thermal variation of the initial susceptibility (forT>20K) is semiquantitatively explained invoking, besides the Kondo effect, a 7- 8 CF splitting of 70 K and magnetic interactions, which are about 10 times stronger between 8 states than those between 7 states. This large 8- 8 exchange interaction is also assumed to account for the most striking result of this work, i.e. the lack of any CF-transition peak up to 44 meV in our inelastic neutron-scattering spectra.  相似文献

A series ofc-axis oriented YBa2Cu3O x -films with different oxygen content were prepared by laser deposition. The oxygen contentx was determined by X-ray diffraction and by resonant Rutherford-back-scattering (RRBS) measurements. Thec-axis length in these films of YBa2Cu3O x is about 0.5% larger compared to bulk values. We describe transport measurements in magnetic fields up to 7 Tesla between room temperature andT c in samples with an oxygen content between the orthorhombic-to-tetragonal transition (x6.4) and full oxygenation (x7). The ratio /R H was investigated with respect to the two-dimensional Luttinger liquid theory and the model of the two-dimensional ionic metal. We report on deviations from the expected quadratic temperature behaviour of /R H , especially in films with high oxygen content.  相似文献

Low temperature nuclear orientation experiments down to 2 mK on147GdFe,149GdFe,149GdGd and153GdGd have yielded the magnetic hyperfine interaction strength. Bhf as 31.0(1.6) NT, 28.3(2.0) NT, 33.8(4.7) NT and 13.3(2.1) NT respectively. From these values the respective ground state magnetic moments ¦¦ of147Gd,149Gd and159Gd were deduced as 1.12(20) N, 1.01(16) N and 0.40(8) N.  相似文献

In this paper we report a time differential perturbed angular correlation (TDPAC) study of hyperfine interactions at 181Ta in Hf2Co7 compound. The TDPAC measurements have been performed in the temperature range 77–1023K. The measured spectra showed broad distribution of hyperfine interactions up to 388K. Above this temperature, in a reversible manner, two nuclear electric quadrupole interactions (EQI) have been observed: at 393K, Q1=449.0(27)MHz, 1=0.00(4) and Q2=144.7(41)MHz, 2=0.44(2). Since the Curie temperature for this compound is known from the literature to be around 420K, only magnetic order transition could be responsible for such an observation. However, the measurements of magnetization did not exhibit any drastic change in this temperature range.  相似文献

57Fe Mössbauer effect measurements as a function of temperature between 78 and 293 K in grain-aligned YBaCuO (T c=89 K, T c<2 K) with bothc andc orientations revealed a sequence of anomalies in the recoilless fraction, center shift and linewidth of all57Fe quadrupole doublets in the host lattice. These anomalies are believed to arise due to antiferroelectric phase transitions driven by a nonlinear anharmonic vibrational motion of oxygen atoms in a breathing mode configuration. The results obtained are indicative of a possible coexistence of high-T c superconductivity and antiferroelectricity in 1-2-3 ceramics.  相似文献
