Consider the forced higher-order nonlinear neutral functional differential equation
where n,m , 1 are integers, , i + = [0,), C,Q i, g C([t 0,), ), fi C(, ), (i = 1, 2, ...;, m). Some sufficient conditions for the existence of a nonoscillatory solution of above equation are obtained for general Q i(t) (i = 1, 2, ... ,m) and g(t) which means that we allow oscillatory Qi(t) (i = 1, 2, ... ,m) and g(t). The article presents a new method for constructing exact solutions of non-evolutionary partial differential equations with two independent variables. The method is applied to the linear classical equations of mathematical physics: the Helmholtz equation and the variable type equation. The constructed method goes back to the theory of finite-dimensional dynamics proposed for evolutionary differential equations by B. Kruglikov, O. Lychagina and V. Lychagin. This theory is a natural development of the theory of dynamical systems. Dynamics make it possible to find families that depends on a finite number of parameters among all solutions of PDEs. The proposed method is used to construct exact particular solutions of linear differential equations (Helmholtz equations and equations of variable type).  相似文献

An analytical version of the discrete-ordinates method is used to derive solutions for a class of problems defined in terms of the S-model kinetic equations. In addition to a general derivation, which is common to all the problems, specific analytical and computational aspects for each one of the problems are presented. In particular, numerical results for velocity profile, heat-flow profile and flow rates are obtained with high accuracy for the plane channel problems. Conditions for the existence of polynomial solutions of certain second‐order differential equations have recently been investigated by several authors. In this paper, a new algorithmic procedure is given to determine necessary and sufficient conditions for a differential equation with polynomial coefficients containing parameters to admit polynomial solutions and to compute these solutions. The effectiveness of this approach is illustrated by applying it to determine new solutions of several differential equations of current interest. The study of periodic solutions with constant sign in the Abel equation of the second kind can be made through the equation of the first kind. This is because the situation is equivalent under the transformation x?x−1, and there are many results available in the literature for the first kind equation. However, the equivalence breaks down when one seeks for solutions with nonconstant sign. This note is devoted to periodic solutions with nonconstant sign in Abel equations of the second kind. Specifically, we obtain sufficient conditions to ensure the existence of a periodic solution that shares the zeros of the leading coefficient of the Abel equation. Uniqueness and stability features of such solutions are also studied.  相似文献

We consider an average quadratic cost criteria for affine stochastic differential equations with almost-periodic coefficients. Under stabilizability and detectability conditions we show that the Riccati equation associated with the quadratic control problem has a unique almost-periodic solution. In this paper second order quasilinear ordinary differential equations are considered, and a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a slowly growing positive solution is established.
