The free-parameter perturbation method is applied to solve the problems of nonlinear stability of spherical shallow shells under uniform load. As a modified perturbation method, the free-parameter perturbation method enables researchers to obtain all characteristic relations without choosing the certain perturbation parameter. Some examples were discussed to study the variety regulations of deflections and stress of shells in the process of buckling, and the results were compared with those of other researchers.  相似文献

This paper is neither laudatory nor derogatory but it simply contrasts with what might be called elastostatic (or static topology), a proposition of the famous six equations. The extension strains and the shearing strains which were derived by A.L. Cauchy, are linearly expressed in terms of nine partial derivatives of the displacement function (u i ,u j ,u h )=u(x i ,x j ,x k ) and it is impossible for the inverse proposition to sep up a system of the above six equations in expressing the nine components of matrix ((u i ,u j ,u h )/(x i ,x j ,x k )). This is due to the fact that our geometrical representations of deformation at a given point are as yet incomplete[1]. On the other hand, in more geometrical language this theorem is not true to any triangle, except orthogonal, for “squared length” in space[2]. The purpose of this paper is to describe some mathematic laws of algebraic elastodynamics and the relationships between the above-mentioned important questions.  相似文献

本文从壳体位移的三个微分方程出发,采用付立叶积分变换的基本解,利用加权残值法推导了几何非线性边界积分方程。这种基本解的壳体边界元法类似于板的非线性边界元法,各种变量物理意义明确,能方便地处理各种复杂边界条件及有开口情况。文末算例说明本文方法的可行性、收敛性和精确性,并与二变量边界单元法或有限元结果相比较,吻合较好。  相似文献

A set of nonlinearly coupled algebraic and differential eigenvalue equations of nonlinear axisymmetric free vibration of orthotropic shallow thin spherical and conical shells are formulated.following an assumed time-mode approach suggested in this paper. Analytic solutions are presented and an asymptotic relation for the amplitude-frequency response of the shells is derived. This paper deals with nonlinear free vibration of reticulated shallow spherical shells taking into account the effect of transverse shear deformation. The shell is formed by beam members placed in two orthogonal directions. The nondimensional fundamental governing equations in terms of the deflection, rotational angle, and force function are presented, and the solution for the nonlinear free frequency is derived by using the asymptotic iteration method. The asymptotic solution can be used readily to perform the parameter analysis of such space structures with numerous geometrical and material parameters. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the characteristic amplitude-frequency relation and softening and hardening nonlinear behaviors as well as the effect of transverse shear on the linear and nonlinear frequencies of reticulated shells and plates.  相似文献

The idea of quasi-Green’s function method is clarified by considering a free vibration problem of the simply-supported trapezoidal shallow spherical shell. A quasi-Green’s function is established by using the fundamental solution and boundary equation of the problem. This function satisfies the homogeneous boundary condition of the prob-lem. The mode shape differential equations of the free vibration problem of a simply-supported trapezoidal shallow spherical shell are reduced to two simultaneous Fredholm integral equations of the second kind by the Green formula. There are multiple choices for the normalized boundary equation. Based on a chosen normalized boundary equa-tion, a new normalized boundary equation can be established such that the irregularity of the kernel of integral equations is overcome. Finally, natural frequency is obtained by the condition that there exists a nontrivial solution to the numerically discrete algebraic equations derived from the integral equations. Numerical results show high accuracy of the quasi-Green’s function method.  相似文献

In this paper, we treat the nonlinear stability problem of shallow spherical shells with large values ofk(k=12(1–v) · 2f/h,f = shell rise,h = shell thickness) under the action of uniformly distributed line load along a circle concentric with the shell boundary. Load-deflection curves are computed at successive increments of uniformly distributed line loads by using both cubic B-spline approximations and iterative techniques. Our algorithm yields fairly good convergent results for values ofk as large as 400. The limiting case in which shells are loaded along a circle of small radius has been specially investigated and the computed critical loads are compared with those obtained with central point loads by other authors.  相似文献

研究了四边简支条件下功能梯度圆锥壳的非线性自由振动。首先,通过Voigt模型和幂律分布模型描述了功能梯度材料的物理属性。然后,考虑von-Karman几何非线性建立了功能梯度圆锥壳的能量表达式,利用Hamilton原理推出圆锥壳的运动方程。在此基础上,采用Galerkin法,只考虑横向振动,功能梯度圆锥壳运动方程可简化为单自由度非线性振动微分方程。最后,通过改进的L-P法和Runge-Kutta法求解非线性振动方程,讨论功能梯度圆锥壳的非线性振动响应,分析几何参数和陶瓷体积分数指数对圆锥壳非线性频率响应的影响。结果表明,几何参数对非线性频率和响应的影响相较于陶瓷体积分数指数更明显;圆锥壳的几何参数和陶瓷体积分数指数通过改变非线性频率影响振动响应;功能梯度圆锥壳呈弹簧渐硬非线性振动特性。  相似文献

Also the analytic formulas for determining the critical buckling loads under different temperature fields are obtained by using the modified iteration method. In this paper, the nonlinear equations of motion for shallow spherical shells with axisymmetric deformation including transverse shear are derived. The nonlinear static and dynamic response and dynamic buckling of shallow spherical shells with circular hole on elastically restrained edge are investigated. By using the orthogonal point collocation method for space and Newmark-β scheme for time, the displacement functions are separated and the nonlinear differential equations are replaced by linear algebraic equations to seek solutions. Based on the large deflection dynamic equations of axisymmetric shallow shells of revolution, the nonlinear forced vibration of a corrugated shallow shell under uniform load is investigated. The nonlinear partial differential equations of shallow shell are reduced to the nonlinear integral-differential equations by the method of Green's function. To solve the integral-differential equations, expansion method is used to obtain Green's function. Then the integral-differential equations are reduced to the form with degenerate core by expanding Green's function as series of characteristic function. Therefore, the integral-differential equations become nonlinear ordinary differential equations with regard to time. The amplitude-frequency response under harmonic force is obtained by considering single mode vibration. As a numerical example, forced vibration phenomena of shallow spherical shells with sinusoidal corrugation are studied. Based on the variational equation of the nonlinear bending theory of doubledeck reticulated shallow shells, equations of large deflection and boundary conditions for a double-deck reticulated circular shallow spherical shell under a uniformly distributed pressure are derived by using coordinate transformation means and the principle of stationary complementary energy. The characteristic relationship and critical buckling pressure for the shell with two types of boundary conditions are obtained by taking the modified iteration method.
