Banach空间的强凸性

在本文中,我们定义了 Banach 空间的强凸性,它是强光滑的共轭概念,即若 X~*是强光滑的,则 X 是强凸的;若 X~*是强凸的,则 X 是强光滑的。我们还证明了若 X 是强凸的,则 X 是中点局部一致凸的;和若 Banach 空间 X是自反的,则 X 是强凸的当且仅当 X 具有(G)性质。

本文讨论了Banach空间的特征函数[1]与凸性模及光滑模的关系,从而给出了刻划Banach空间的一致凸性、一致光滑性的另一种方法。     

鞅不等式与 Banach 空间的凸性和光滑性

本文用单位球的切片统一且简捷地处理Ｂａｎａｃｈ空间的（局部）Ｋ一致凸、近一致凸、近一致光滑性;定义Ｂａｎａｃｈ空间的（局部）Ｋ一致光滑、局部近一致凸、局部近一致光滑、近－强凸、近－强光滑性等概念,并讨论上述凸性,光滑性的关系及性能。     

关于ω-强凸空间的一点注记

本文研究了关于ω-强凸空间和ω-强光滑空间的问题.利用Banach理论的方法,证明了ω-强凸空间和ω-强光滑空间是一对对偶概念,并讨论了ω-强光滑性与其它光滑性之间的关系,用切片统一刻画了ω-强凸空间与ω-强光滑空间的特征,完善了ω-强凸空间及其对偶空间的研究.     

K-强凸空间的一些性质

结合Banach空间的Drop性，利用K维体积给出了K—强凸空间的一个新的定义，同时也给出了K—强光滑空间定义的K维体积表示，然后利用单位圆的切片证明了K—强凸空间是自反空间，进而证明了K—强凸空间与K—强光滑空间是一对对偶空间．最后利用Drop性的切片描述证明了K—强凸空间具有Drop性．     

关于Banach空间k一致凸及k一致光滑性

用统一且简洁形式刻画、定义了Banach空间的(局部)k一致凸、k-强凸、ω-强凸性.给出(局部)k一致光滑性概念,并讨论了上述空间的关系及性质.     

关于k极凸空间的几点注记

本文证明了k极凸是严格介于冼军和胡长松的k极凸性和何仁义的k极凸性之间的一种新凸性.利用k极凸空间的概念,得到了k极凸的性质以及与其它凸性之间的蕴涵关系,完善了k极光滑及其对偶空间的研究.     

On uniform convexity of Banach spaces

This paper gives some relations and properties of several kinds of generalized convexity in Banach spaces. As a result, it proves that every kind of uniform convexity implies the Banach-Sakes property, and several notions of uniform convexity in literature are actually equivalent.     

Criteria for convexity in Banach spaces

In this paper two convexity criteria are proven. The first one characterizes compact convex sets in a locally convex space and extends a previous result by G. Aumann, while the second one characterizes closed bounded convex sets with the Radon-Nikodým property in a Banach space.

     

On K_0-groups of operator algebras on Banach spaces

This paper merges some classifications of G-M-type Banach spaces simplifically, discusses the condition of K0(B(X)) = 0 for operator algebra B(X) on a Banach space X, and obtains a result to improve Laustsen's sufficient condition, gives an example to show that X ≈ X2 is not a sufficient condition of K0(B(X)) = 0.     

Uniformly smooth renorming of Banach spaces with modulus of convexity of power type 2

An upper bound q(c) for the best, under equivalent renorming, possible power type of the modulus of smoothness of a Banach space with modulus of convexity satisfying δX(ε)?cε², is found. The estimate is asymptotically sharp and is expressed in terms of linear fractional function q(c).     

Some strong laws of large numbers for blockwise martingale difference sequences in martingale type p Banach spaces

For a blockwise martingale difference sequence of random elements {Vn , n ≥ 1} taking values in a real separable martingale type p (1 ≤ p ≤ 2) Banach space, conditions are provided for strong laws of large numbers of the form limn→∞∑ n i=1 Vi /gn = 0 almost surely to hold where the constants gn ↑∞. A result of Hall and Heyde [Martingale Limit Theory and Its Application, Academic Press, New York, 1980, p. 36] which was obtained for sequences of random variables is extended to a martingale type p (1 p ≤ 2) Banach space setting and to hold with a Marcinkiewicz-Zygmund type normalization. Illustrative examples and counterexamples are provided.     

Kergin approximation in Banach spaces

We explore the convergence of Kergin interpolation polynomials of holomorphic functions in Banach spaces, which need not be of bounded type. We also investigate a case where the Kergin series diverges.     

Constructive utility functions on Banach spaces

In this paper we prove the existence of continuous order-preserving functions on subsets of ordered Banach spaces using a constructive approach.     

Properties of operator stable distributions in infinite-dimensional Banach spaces

The results of this paper concern the connections between different characterizations of operator stable distributions in infinite-dimensional separable Banach spaces. Such assertions are closely related with the strong and uniform operator topology. In particular, the new motions of strongly and uniformlyG-stable distributions are discussed.

We give a covering type characterization for the class of dual Banach spaces with an equivalent ALUR dual norm.     

On the Davis inequality in Banach function spaces
