The cross section has been measured in the energy interval (1975 ? 2E ? 2250) MeV for |cosθ| < 0.7. The measurement is based on ~ 100 events, thus improving by a factor 3 on the previous existing statistics in this energy interval. The form factor |G|2 is given as a function of energy under the assumption |GE| = |GM|. We also give the first measurement of the differential cross section, averaged over the energy interval, and estimate the ratio GM|/|GE| from it. 相似文献

The analysis of the reaction e+e?→π+π? measured at the e+e? colliding beam machine ADONE shows that, if ?′ and ?″ exist, the cross sections compare as follows (taking the ? as the reference point): : σ(e+e? → ?′ → π+π?): σ(e+e? → ?″ → π+π?) = 1: (7 ± 4) × 10?3: (1 ± 5) × 10?4. The decay K+ → e+υγ has been investigated. For the structure-dependent part with positive γ-helicity (SD+) the branching ratio is obtained from 51 ± 3 events observed in the kinematical region Ee ? 235 MeV, Eγ > 48 MeV and θeγ > 140°. For the corresponding part with negative γ-helicity we obtain an upper limit Γ(SD?)/Γ(SD+) < 11 (90% CL) from the sample of electrons with energies 220 MeV ? Ee < 230 MeV and with no γ in the backward direction. This upper limit implies that the ratio of structure-dependent axial vector amplitudes lies outside the region .For the decay the limit 90% confidence level) was found. 相似文献

Using a target prepared by on-line isotope separation, thermal neutron capture in 84Rb (Iπ = 2?) has been shown to induce proton emission to the ground state (0+) and first excited state (2+) of 84Kr. The branching ratio was measured as , favouring a assignment of the capturing state without excluding , and the (nth, p) cross section as 12 ± 2 b. The energy available for the process was determined to be 3.45 ± 0.01 MeV, in agreement with other mass data in the region. 相似文献

We report the first observation of the decay . The 7 events seen yield a branching ratio B(?′→?π+π?)=(19±8)%. A consistent value of B=(26±13)% is obtained from the charged multiplicities of the ?′ and ? decays. Using these values we deduce Γtot(?′)=(31+10?8) keV and Bee(?′)=(1.8±0.5)%. Furthermore we estimate Γ(?′→gg?)=(10±5) keV in agreement with QCD predictions using vector gluons while one would expect 100 keV with scalar gluons. 相似文献

The branching ratio has been measured on the basis of 534 observed K+ → e+v decays. The K+ decay at rest; the momenta of the e+ and μ+ are measured in a magnetic spectrometer using multiwire driftchambers, and the electrons are identified in a gas Cerenkov counter. We consider the possibility that the scalar partners of the neutrinos are the least massive supersymmetric partners, and show that this alternative is compatible with cosmological constraints, which put a significant lower bound on photino masses but not on masses. Various consequences are examined: the photon counting rate for may be large; the rate for by exchange is enhaced; Z0→ increases Γ(Z0) by about 0.25 GeV; may be enhanced; the decay may be detectable; there can be additional contributions to the rare decay ; restrictions on gluino masses, which depend on photinos interacting before they decay, have to be re-examined; scalar neutrinos have suitable characteristics as candidates for dark matter in the universe. Forty events have been observed in a large (133 events/βb) experiment at 4.2 GeV/c incident K? momentum. Thirty nine of the events come from the three-body reaction . The is mainly produced in the forward hemisphere (direction of the incident K?). The lifetime is measured to be τ = (0.75 +0.14?0.11 × 10?10 sec substantially less than the Particle Data Group value of (1.3 ?0.3+0.2) × 10?10 sec. The mass is determined to be 1671.7 ± 0.6 MeV, in good agreement with other determinations. The decay asymmetry parameter α (for the decay mode ) is found to be ?0.2 ± 0.4. 相似文献

Phenomenological aspects of π0→νν′ are considered. From the existing experimental information, we deduce an upper limit . Possible mechanisms which can give rise to this process are discussed. Branching ratios of the order of 10?6 for decays into the known neutrinos (νe, νμ) are found possible. Rates comparable to the experimental limit for decays into final states involving additional neutrinos (massive or massless) cannot be ruled out. 相似文献

A particle unstable state of 4H has been identified in the reaction by observing the two emitted tritons. A resonance energy EΓ=(2.7±0.6) MeV and a reduced width γ2=(2.3±0.6) MeV were deduced, in agreement with the parameters of the ground-state level (Jπ=2?) found in the p-wave of n-t-scattering. The yield per stopped pion is (5.6±1.8)×10?4. Previous measurements in pion absorption are in disagreement with our results. 相似文献

We measured the differential cross section for p?p and pp elastic scattering in the momentum-transfer range 0.01 <|t| < 1.0 GeV2 at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings with center-of-mass energy . Fitting the differential cross section with an exponential [Aexp (bt)], we found for |t| < 0.05 GeV2, whilst for |t| > 0.09 GeV2, . Using the optical theorem, we obtained for the total cross section and, by integrating the differential cross section, we obtained for the total elastic cross section . Calculations of σtot combining elastic-rate and total-rate measurements are also given. All of these measurements were also performed for pp scattering at the same energy, and the results for both reactions are compared. 相似文献

From the angular distributions of γ-rays emitted by oriented 129gTe and 129mTe nuclei implanted in iron by isotope separator, unique spin assignments could be made for the excited states of 129I at 487.4 keV , 696.0 keV , 729.6 keV , 768.9 keV , 1050.4 keV and 1111.8 keV . In addition, E2/M1 amplitude ratios for the following 129I γ-rays (energies are in keV) are derived: δ(459.6) = ?(0.076+0.037?0.148); δ(487.4) = 0.50+0.17?0.10 or δ? = 0.35+0.15?0.09; δ(556.7) = 0.06±0.02 or δ? = ?(0.10±0.02); δ(624.4) = 0.10±0.26 or δ? > 0.4; the 696.0 keV γ-ray is pure E2; δ(729.6) = ?(0.34±0.06) or δ?1 = 0.55±0.05; δ(741.1) = ?(0.27±0.10) or δ?1 = ?(0.43±0.12); δ(817.2) = 0.46±0.04 or δ?1 =0.20±0.03 if ; δ(1022.6) = ?(0.02 ±0.02) or δ?1 = ?(0.23±0.02); ; δ(1111.8) = 0.06±0.05 or δ?1 = ?(0.08±0.05). The anisotropy of the 531.8 keV γ-ray excludes as a possible spin assignment for the 559.6 keV level, so that no level is fed in the decay from 129Te. Anisotropies for the 209, 250.7, 278.4 and 281.1 keV γ-rays are also measured. Comparison of the level scheme is made with theoretical predictions from both the pairing-plus-quadrupole model and the intermediate coupling unified model. 相似文献

The quadrupole effect in the NMR of in a MgF2 single crystal has been investigated. Production and implantation of polarized 17F through the 16O(d, n) reaction and the resulting asymmetric β-decay were utilized. The quadrupole coupling constant is determined to be |eqQ/h| = 8.41 ± 0.24 MHz with η = 0.32 ± 0.02 at room temperature. No appreciable temperature dependence of eqQ is found from 77 K up to 770 K. Using previously known results, the following ratios of the quadrupole moments are obtained; . The additivity relation of Q between 17F, 17O, and 18F1 is discussed. 相似文献

An empirical investigation of data provides evidence for a dynamical variable connected with the boundary of the physical region. Absence of a fixed u = ?0.2 dip in recent high-energy data disagrees with nucleon-exchange (N) line-reversal expectations from π+p→pπ+ backward scattering. We notice however that the π+p→pπ+ dip is not located at fixed u but remains with a surprising accuracy at a fixed distance u' = u ? umin from the physical boundary. Conjecturing that dips associated with particle exchanges occur at fixed u', we predict that the N-exchange dip in will be considerably displaced at non-asymptotic energies. Our conjecture places the fixed u' = ?0.2 dip near for momenta around 2 GeV/c. Folded distributions exhibit a dip structure at this location. These observations suggest that the failure of line reversal at low energies is due to direct-channel effects, since fixed u' dips occur naturally in geometrical and direct-channel models. 相似文献

Using the ARGUS detector at DORIS II, we have observed a signal of 36.7±8.0 events in the decay channel D0→Ks0φ. In the same data sample, we have observed the well established decay D0→Ks0π+π?, and find the ratio, , to be 0.186±0.052. The substantial value of (0.99±0.32±0.17)% then derived for the branching ratio for gives direct evidence that W exchange contributes D0 decay. 相似文献
