Parity violating effects in the transmission and radiative capture of longitudinally polarized thermal neutrons have been observed for 117Sn and 139La targets. Helicity dependent asymmetries a = 106 (σ+-? σ?)/(σ+ + σ?) were found in the total cross section of 117Sn (a = 6.2 ± 0.7) and 139La (a = 9.0 ± 1.4), and also in the (n, γ) cross section of 117Sn (a = 22.6 ± 1.9) and of 139La (a = 16.1 ± 2.0).  相似文献

The quadrupole interaction frequencies ω0 = 3eQ1Vzz41(21-1) h? in the 5? state of 118Sn have been measured by time differential perturbed angular correlation technique in Sn, Sb and (95% Sn+5% Sb) environments. The ω0 for 116Sn was determined in Sn environment only. With the help of the known electric field gradient 1) of Sn in a Sn lattice the quadrupole moments have been deduced as Q(5?, 118Sn) = ±0.10(4) b and Q(5?, 116Sn) = ±0.165(60) b. These values together with the known2) quadrupole moment of the analogous 5? state in 120Sn are interpreted in terms of the pure single-particle model. The data exhibit the expected strong systematic variation of QI with the number of particles in the h112. subshell which is being filled with 1, 3 and 5 neutrons in 116Sn, 118Sn, and 120Sn, respectively.  相似文献

The cross section, vector analyzing power, and proton polarization have been measured for the ln = 0 reaction 116Sn(d, p)117Sn(g.s.) at 8.22 MeV. In addition, cross section and analyzing power data have been obtained at 8.22 MeV for 116Sn(d, d)116Sn and for 116Sn(d, p)117Sn leading to excited states of 117Sn at 0.159, 0.317, 1.020, 1.179, 1.308 and 1.497 MeV. The cross section and analyzing power for 117Sn(p,p)Sn and for 117Sn(p, d)116Sn leading to the 1.294 MeV state of 116Sn have also been measured at 12.91 MeV. The data for 116Sn(d, p)117Sn(g.s.) have been used to separate the contributions to the analyzing power arising from spin-dependent forces in the proton and deuteron channels. A similar analysis is presented for an ln = 0 90Zr(d, p)91Zr transition at 11 MeV. Optical-model analyses have been performed for the elastic scattering data. The reaction data have been compared with distorted-wave calculations in order to investigate the validity of various deuteron potentials, as well as to extract spectroscopic information.  相似文献

Neutron capture γ-ray measurements have been performed upon a natural sample of Cr. Twenty-six γ-rays were observed from the 1626 eV resonance of the 52Cr(n, γ)53Cr reaction, and twenty-four of them were assigned to a level scheme. A value of 32? was determined for the spin-parity of this resonance. The neutron separation energy, derived from a separate thermal measurement with an enriched (99.9 %) 52Cr sample was determined to be 7939.1 ± 0.2 keV. The high (n, γ) (d, p) correlation found for thermal capture is absent for the p-resonance, however the γ-ray intensities from thermal and resonance capture are correlated, with r = 0.86?0.11+0.06.  相似文献

Angular distributions of the differential cross section and the three tensor analyzing powers were measured for the reactions 117Sn(d, p)118Sn and 119Sn(d, p)120Sn at Ed = 12 MeV. In addition, excitation functions of the tensor analyzing power T20 were measured at proton lab angles of 0° and 5° for energies ranging from 10 to 12 MeV. At forward angles, the tensor analyzing powers for the ground state (ln = 0) transitions are more than an order of magnitude larger than the predictions of distorted-wave calculations which neglect the deuteron D-state. Qualitative agreement with the measurements is obtained when the D-state is included.  相似文献

The γ-decay of deep-hole states in 101, 105, 107Pd was studied via the (3He, αγ) reaction at E3he = 70 MeV and supplemented by data from 112, 118Sn targets to investigate the deep-hole spreading mechanism. The γ-decay pattern for the g92 deep-hole state shows a strong dependence on the spreading width: if the deep-hole state is observed as a sharp peak, it mainly decays to the low-lying 72+ state by a spin-flip M1 transition with a large M1-E2 mixing ratio; if the deep-hole state is observed as a broad bump, it decays statistically indicating the complete spreading of the hole strength over the underlying states; if the deep-hole state is observed with a structure intermediate between a sharp peak and broad bump, its γ-decay shows both decay patterns.A sharp peak at Ex = 2.396 MeV in 101Pd which carries a large fraction of the g92 hole strength (C2S = 2.0) was found to be a single state having a width of less than 2.5 keV.For the spin-flip M1 transition the destructive interference between the g92 component and the coupled components of the deep-hole state was found in heavily spread states.A quasiparticle-plus-rotor (QPR) model was applied to calculate the fragmentation in the doorway stage for the g92 neutron deep-hole state in the Pd isotopes. A reasonable agreement between the calculation and the experimental results was obtained for the strength fragmentation, for the nucleus 101Pd. However, the large M1-E2 mixing ratio experimentally observed was not reproduced.  相似文献

Coulomb excitation of the nucleus 115Sn was studied with beams of 4He and 16O. Level energies, spins, mean-lives and B(E2) and B(M1) transition probabilities were obtained. Spin 32+ states were observed at 497.35 and 1280.08 keV and spin 52+ states were observed at 986.54 and 1416.78 keV. A state of 612.79 keV was observed to be indirectly excited by decay of the Coulomb excited states. Eleven B(E2) values and nine B(M1) values were obtained for the transitions between the low-lying states. In contrast to previous particle transfer results which suggested a clear distinction between shell-model and collective 32+ and 52+ states, our results suggest the collective strength is shared by the two 32+ and two 52+ states.  相似文献

A measurement of the asymmetry in radiative neutron-proton capture has been performed using polarized cold neutrons on a parahydrogen target. The result, Aγ = (0.6±2.1) × 10?7, is in agreement with values predicted by various theories of the weak interaction.  相似文献

Neutron diffraction, magnetometric and Mössbauer effect experiments were performed on CoMnSn. The latter two agreed in giving transition temperature of 145 K. The canted magnetic moment arrangement was found and Sn atoms were proved to occupy several magnetically non-equivalent positions leading to significant distribution of hyperfine parameters.  相似文献

The levels of 115Sn up to 4 MeV excitation energy have been studied with 15–18 keV energy resolution, and many previously unreported levels have been observed. Angular momentum transfers and spectroscopic factors have been determined for most of the levels up to 3 MeV. The main features of the observed fragmentation of the strength are rather well reproduced by means of a weak coupling calculation.  相似文献

Low-lying 0+ states have been excited in the (p, p′) reaction via thes12 isobaric analog resonance in 114,116Sn and in radioactive decay in 118Sn. From conversion electron measurements, values of X = B(EO;0+ → 01+)B(E2; 0+ →21+) are obtained from the 1953 keV state in 114Sn, 1757 and 2027 keV states in 116Sn and 1758 and 2056 keV states in 118Sn.  相似文献

The isotopes 107Sn and 107In were produced through the 106Cd(3He, 2n)107Sn and 106Cd(3He, pn)107In reactions. They were studied by means of γ-spectroscopy, excitation functions, γγ coincidences and angular distributions of γ-rays. A level scheme is proposed for the newly discovered 107Sn, and new states belonging to 107In are given. Microscopic calculations have been performed in a three-quasiparticle approximation for a large number of tin isotopes in order to get a wide view of the systematic evolution of the various states.  相似文献

Differential cross section and analyzing power data for elastic scattering of 0.8 GeV polarized protons from 116Sn and 124Sn are analyzed in terms of a spin-dependent Kerman-McManus-Thaler formalism. Neutron matter densities and rms radii are deduced with careful attention to sources of error, and found to be in good agreement with Hartree-Fock predictions.  相似文献

Gamma rays in the range 5.4–6.7 MeV have been studied for 31 s-wave neutron resonances of 115In, selected by time of flight in the range 3–430 eV. In a subsidiary experiment, spin J = 5 has been assigned to 17 and J = 4 to 14 resonances by measuring intensity variations of some strong low-energy transitions. The reduced widths averaged over all initial states of the same spin have been estimated for 41 primary transitions: these values have provided information on the spin and parity of the corresponding 116In final states. Overall mean values of E1 and M1 radiative strength have been calculated. The width distribution has been fitted with a χ2 function with ν = 1.10+0.27?0.09 degrees of freedom for M1 and ν = 1.42 + 0.014?0.08 for E1 radiation. An estimate of the spin cut-off parameter σ = 3.6?0.4+ 0.8 has been derived. A non-statistical effect already evidenced in previous measurements has been confirmed, consisting of a strong modulation of the radiative strength against resonance energy, correlated also with the local neutron strength function. In addition, it has now been shown that this structure is due to E1 radiation only.  相似文献

Asymmetric s-wave resonances observed in the neutron capture cross section of 54Fe can be explained by interference between resonance valence components. It is shown that the consistent relativistic invariant approach to the parity violation in np→dγ capture of thermal neutrons leads to results which differ essentially from those of the nonrelativistic approach. In particular the isospin selection rule established earlier for the photon circular polarization is charged due to the contribution of “relativistic” parity violating components of the deuteron and np-scattering wave function.  相似文献

The 112Sn(p, p') reaction was studied at proton energies of 20.51 and 25.0 MeV. The outgoing protons were momentum analysed with an Enge split-pole spectrograph and recorded with position-sensitive solid-state detectors with a total resolution between 10 and 15 keV. Excitation energies and angular distributions for states below 5.5 MeV excitation energy were obtained. The angular distributions were compared with macroscopic DWBA calculations in order to extract L-values and deformation parameters. Coupled-channels calculations were performed to investigate two-phonon excitations and the mixing between one- and two-phonon states. The results of the present experiment are compared with previous experimental results and with number-projected BCS calculations. The results for some of the excited states were compared with similar results for the other even Sn isotopes.  相似文献
