By developing a diagonalization scheme we observe that the dynamics of interacting electrons or holes locally coupled to dispersionless phonon mode in one-dimensional lattice can be mapped into that of paired electron or hole states (bipolaronic states), which then gives a physically appealing picture of excitation modes of the interacting electron or hole gas. As a result, the bipolaronic model of the interacting electron or hole gas, obtained from Holstein–Hubbard Hamiltonian in one-dimensional lattice, exhibits normalization of the hopping terms and leads to a reduced effective mass of the bipolaron, which essentially gives support to the bipolaronic theory of high Tc superconductivity. 相似文献

The effect of Nd substitution at the Ba sites has been studied in Nd1+x
Ba2-x
Cu3O
y
system for 0.1 x 0.35. Orthorhombic to tetragonal structural phase transition occurs at about x = 0.17. With the increase of Nd, the T
c value decreases and T increases, where T is the difference between the onset and critical temperatures and indicates the sharpness of the transition. These changes are explained by ac-susceptibility measurements on Nd1.1Ba1.9Cu3O7.12 at 0.10 Oe. The susceptibility curves show the presence of about four phases, which are not detectable by X-ray diffraction technique. 相似文献

The oxide system Bi2.2Ca2.8−x

has been investigated for superconductivity as a function of Ca/Sr ratio withx=0.7, 1.0, 1.4 and 1.8. All these compositions are found to be superconducting with onset temperature in the range of 80–90
K implying a large homogeneity range between Sr and Ca for the superconductivity to occur in this system. Effect of partial
replacement of Bi by rare earths has been studied and it is observed that 20% replacement of Bi by Nd and Eu does not significantly

Spin-polarized ab-initio cluster procedures are used to investigate the electronic structure of CuO2-planes in the La2CuO4 and YBa2Cu3O7 compounds. In particular, electric field gradients (EFGs) and magnetic hyperfine interaction parameters for the Cu sites
were calculated with various theoretical methods. Calculations with density functional theory reproduce the experimentally
determined EFGs fairly well while those at the Hartree-Fock level generally yield values which are too large by about 40%.
The anisotropic magnetic hyperfine coupling can also be calculated with reasonable accuracy.

Summary The experimental results on quantum decay of metastable flux states in the r.f. SQUID containing different S-c-S point contacts
as the weak link are compared with various theoretical models. The formulae following from the RSJ model with weak and strong
damping and the microscopic treatment of quantum effects in S-c-S junctions are analysed. It is concluded that only the latter

A general mathematical formulation is developed for calculating the effective electron-electron interaction in layered crystals
like YBa2Cu3O7−δ, and for finding the resulting superconducting transition temperatureT

This differs considerably from the usual case of an effective three-dimensional homogeneous system, and should be relevant
in the calculation ofT
c for the new class of high-T
c perovskites in which oxygen deficiencies in Cu-O layers and their distribution in the crystal play a crucial role. The explicit

We construct the algebra of the creation and destruction operators for spin 1/2 particles obeying a new exclusion principle
which is “more exclusive” than Pauli’s exclusion principle: an orbital state shall not contain more than one particle, whether
spin up or spin down. The consequences of this algebra are studied and applications to the Hubbard model in condensed matter
physics are indicated.

This paper describes an investigation of the microscopic configuration of the barrier which exists at the boundary in high T
c grain boundary junctions. A model for describing the properties of bicrystal and biepitaxial grain boundary junctions is proposed. Two channels for transport currents are assumed, the supercurrent being carrier by one channel only. The measurable macroscopic parameters of a junction, (critical current density and normal state resistance) are computed in terms of the microscopic parameters that appear in this model. We have recently achieved superconductivity in T′-RE2CuO4 (RE: Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, and Gd), using epitaxial thin films by metal organic decomposition. The key recipes to achieve superconductivity are low-PO2 firing and subsequent vacuum reduction to minimize the amount of impurity oxygen atoms, which are very harmful to high-Tc superconductivity. In this article, we report our investigation on the reduction dependence of superconductivity of T′-RE2CuO4. For thin films, the amount of remnant Oap atoms is difficult to evaluate but we propose that one good measure for this may be the c-axis lattice constant, which tells us whether the reduction is insufficient or excessive. 相似文献

The measurements of Mössbauer effect, magnetic susceptibility and muon spin relaxation have been carried out for the high-T c superconductor La2?x Ba x CuO4. The intensity of Mössbauer doublet spectrum of the sample of x~1/8 begins to decrease rapidly at a certain temperature T m, which we define as a magnetic transition temperature T Möss. This temperature almost agrees with T μSR determined from muon spin relaxation. The quadrupole doublet disappears at low temperature below T m but a clearly splitted spectrum is not observed even at 4.2 K, which indicates a peculiar magnetic state with a wide distribution of internal magnetic field. Around x~1/8, the superconducting critical temperature T c and T m are competed each other. In conclusion, superconductivity disappears around 1/8 hole concentration and a peculiar magnetic state such as spin density wave appears. 相似文献

The response of polycrystalline Tl–Ba–Ca–Cu–O superconducting thin films on short laser pulses has been investigated for radiation between 10 m and 500 m wavelength. Antalek and Windig recently presented a fast method to resolve a series of NMR mixture spectra, where the contribution of the components varies with a decaying exponential [B. Antalek and W. Windig,J. Am. Chem. Soc.118, 10,331–10,332 (1996); W. Windig and B. Antalek,Chemom. Intell. Lab. Syst.37, 241–254 (1997)]. The method was called DECRA (direct exponential curve resolution algorithm). In this paper DECRA will be applied to two series of magnetic resonance images. The signal of one series is based uponT2relaxation, and the other is based uponT1relaxation. In order to evaluate the technique, the magnetic resonance images of a phantom where used. A transformation is introduced to enable the application of DECRA to aT1series of magnetic resonance images. inductance, inductance and radius of the SQUID loop, have been made and their significance is discussed. Flux noise spectrum

We investigated the generic phase diagram of the electron doped superconductor, Nd2−xCexCuO4, using films prepared by metal organic decomposition. After careful oxygen reduction treatment to remove interstitial Oap atoms, we found that the Tc increases monotonically from 24 K to 29 K with decreasing x from 0.15 to 0.00, demonstrating a quite different phase diagram from the previous bulk one. The implication of our results is discussed on the basis of tremendous influence of Oap “impurities” on superconductivity and also magnetism in T′ cuprates. Then we conclude that our result represents the generic phase diagram for oxygen-stoichiometric Nd2−xCexCuO4. 相似文献
