借助γ-Reθ转捩模型,实现了高亚临界雷诺数(Re=1.4×105)下圆柱层流分离流动的尺度自适应模拟.统计平均结果表明数值计算和实验测量较为接近,尤其在圆柱后半段的分离区中,压力系数和实验符合得很好,误差主要源于分离点预测的不准确. 瞬态流动则显示,层流分离的剪切层中出现了展向不稳定,且在向下游的输运过程中不断增强,最后转捩为完全湍流. 在湍流分离模拟中,由于缺乏剪切层失稳的非定常性,SST-SAS 模型的尺度分辨能力变弱,因此在分离区以及下游尾迹中求解出的湍流尺度要明显较层流分离时大.   相似文献

A three-dimensional Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) of a laminar separation bubble in the presence of oscillating flow is performed. The oscillating flow induces a streamwise pressure gradient varying in time. The special shape of the upper boundary of the computational domain, together with the oscillating pressure gradient causes the boundary layer flow to alternately separate and re-attach. When the inflow decelerates, the shear layer starts to separate and rolls up. Simultaneously the flow becomes 3D. After a transient period, the phase-averaged reverse flow inside the separation bubble reaches speeds ranging from 20 up to 150% of the free-stream velocity. During these phases, the flow is absolutely unstable and self-sustained turbulence can exist. When the inflow starts to accelerate, a spanwise roll of turbulent flow is shed from the shear layer. Shortly after this, the remainder of the separation bubble moves downstream and rejoins with the shed turbulent roll. During the flow-acceleration phase, a patch of laminar boundary layer flow is obtained. Along the flat plate, a series of turbulent patches of flow travelling downstream, separated by laminar flow can be observed, reminiscent of boundary layer flow in a turbine cascade with periodically appearing free-stream disturbances.  相似文献

通过对比标准k-ω SST 湍流模型和基于标准k-ω SST 湍流模型修正的γ-Reθ 转捩湍流模型对绕振荡NACA66 水翼流动的数值计算结果与实验结果,对水翼振荡过程的水动力特性和流场结构变化进行了分析研究. 结果表明:与标准k-ω SST 湍流模型的数值计算结果相比,基于标准k-ω SST 湍流模型修正的γ-Reθ 转捩湍流模型能有效预测绕振荡翼型流场结构和水动力特性,捕捉流场边界层发生的流动分离和转捩现象;绕振荡水翼的流动过程可分为5 个特征阶段,当来流攻角较小时,在水翼前缘发生层流向湍流的转捩现象,水翼动力特征曲线出现变化拐点;随着来流攻角的增大,顺时针尾缘涡逐渐形成并向水翼前缘发展;当攻角较大时,前缘涡分离导致动力失速,水翼的动力特征曲线出现大幅波动;水翼处于顺时针向下旋转阶段,绕水翼的流动状态逐渐由湍流过渡为层流.  相似文献

通过在半锥角θ_c=10°细长锥面上布置一定数量的人工绊线,促使细长锥表面边界层在相应轴向位置上发生层流向湍流转变的固定转捩,采用运动自由度不受约束的风洞自由飞试验技术研究边界层转捩对高超声速细长锥再入体无控自由飞行下的运动特性和气动特性影响规律,并与以往无人工绊线的细长锥风洞自由飞试验结果作对比.试验马赫数Ma=5.0,通过改变风洞前室总压P_0实现两个雷诺数的模拟,以模型长为特征尺寸自由流雷诺数分别为0.84×10~6和1.68×10~6.结果表明:当自由流雷诺数Re=0.84×10~6时,人工绊线尚不足以促使边界层发生转捩,有绊线的细长锥气动特性与无绊线基本一致,动稳定导数大于零;当自由流雷诺数Re=1.68×10~6时,人工绊线促使边界层发生固定转捩,细长锥的动稳定导数小于零,细长锥自由飞行动稳定.  相似文献

Re=22 000 时径厚比D/h=5 圆盘近尾迹开展大涡模拟数值研究. 通过对x/D=1, 2 和8 处脉动速度进行快速傅里叶变换(fast Fourier transformation, FFT),发现3 个特征频率:斯特劳哈尔数St2=0.123 为自然脱落频率,与文献结果相符;较小频率St1=0.035,与回流区伸缩和剪切层附近涡旋脱落点的旋转相关;高频率St3=1.3~1.7 则与剪切层湍流结构相关. 通过分析截面r/D=2.8 圆周上两点间流向速度相关系数、相干谱和相位谱,发现相关系数受涡旋脱落影响出现以30°或45°为周期的正负波动,表明轴面上涡旋脱落点具有随机性.  相似文献

本文采用时间解析的二维粒子图像测速技术,对零压力梯度光滑以及汇聚和发散沟槽表面平板湍流边界层统计特性和流动结构进行了研究.结果表明在垂直于汇聚和发散沟槽表面的对称平面内,相对于光滑壁面,发散沟槽壁面使当地边界层厚度、壁面摩擦阻力、湍流脉动、雷诺应力等明显减小;而汇聚沟槽壁面对湍流边界层特性和流动结构的影响正好相反,汇聚沟槽使壁面流体有远离壁面向上运动的趋势,因而导致边界层厚度增加了约43%;同时,在汇聚沟槽表面情况下流向大尺度相干结构更容易形成,这对减阻是不利的.此外,顺向涡数量在湍流边界层的对数区均存在一个极大值,发散沟槽表面所对应的极大值位置更靠近沟槽壁面,而在汇聚沟槽表面则有远离壁面的趋势,由顺向涡诱导产生的较强的喷射和扫掠运动会在湍流边界层中产生较强的剪切作用,顺向涡数量的减少是发散沟槽壁面当地摩擦阻力降低的主要原因.  相似文献

High-Velocity Laminar and Turbulent Flow in Porous Media   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We model high-velocity flow in porous media with the multiple scale homogenization technique and basic fluid mechanics. Momentum and mechanical energy theorems are derived. In idealized porous media inviscid irrotational flow in the pores and wall boundary layers give a pressure loss with a power of 3/2 in average velocity. This model has support from flow in simple model media. In complex media the flow separates from the solid surface. Pressure loss effects of flow separation, wall and free shear layers, pressure drag, flow tube velocity and developing flow are discussed by using phenomenological arguments. We propose that the square pressure loss in the laminar Forchheimer equation is caused by development of strong localized dissipation zones around flow separation, that is, in the viscous boundary layer in triple decks. For turbulent flow, the resulting pressure loss due to average dissipation is a power 2 term in velocity.  相似文献

Loss Production Mechanisms in a Laminar Separation Bubble   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
The present paper reports the results of a detailed experimental study, carried out by means of a two-component Laser Doppler Velocimeter, aimed at investigating the loss generation mechanisms induced by laminar separation bubble and transition process. Measurements have been performed along a flat plate installed within a double contoured test section, designed to produce an adverse pressure gradient typical of Ultra-High-Lift turbine blade profiles, which induces the formation of a laminar separation bubble. Results were detailed enough to allow calculating laminar and turbulent deformation works in the separated flow region. Normal and shear contributions of both viscous and turbulent deformation works have been analyzed and employed to explain the generation of total pressure losses in the separated flow region, where the generation and amplification of Kelvin–Helmholtz instability induces the separated shear layer roll-up, thus the bubble reattachment. Results obtained for different Reynolds number conditions have been employed for the formulation of a loss scaling procedure involving the separated shear layer thickness, which is directly correlated to the dynamics of Kelvin–Helmholtz roll-up vortices.  相似文献

Planar laser Rayleigh scattering (PLRS) from condensed CO2 particles is used to visualize flow structure in a Mach 5 wind tunnel undergoing unstart. Detailed flow features such as laminar/turbulent boundary layers and shockwaves are readily illustrated by the technique. A downstream transverse air jet, inducing flow unchoking downstream of the jet, is injected into the free stream flow of the tunnel, resulting in tunnel unstart. Time sequential PLRS images reveal that the boundary layer growth/separation on a surface with a thick turbulent boundary layer, initiated by the jet injection, propagates upstream and produces an oblique unstart shock. The tunnel unstarts upon the arrival of the shock at the inlet. In contrast, earlier flow separation on the opposite surface, initially supporting a thin laminar boundary layer, is observed when a jet induced bow shock strikes that surface. The resulting disturbance to this boundary layer also propagates upstream and precedes the formation of an unstart shock.  相似文献

A turbulent separation-reattachment flow in a two-dimensional asymmetrical curved-wall diffuser is studied by a two-dimensional laser doppler velocimeter. The turbulent boundary layer separates on the lower curved wall under strong pressure gradient and then reattaches on a parallel channel. At the inlet of the diffuser, Reynolds number based on the diffuser height is 1.2×105 and the velocity is 25.2m/s. The results of experiments are presented and analyzed in new defined streamline-aligned coordinates. The experiment shows that after Transitory Detachment Reynolds shear stress is negative in the near-wall backflow region. Their characteristics are approximately the same as in simple turbulent shear layers near the maximum Reynolds shear stress. A scale is formed using the maximum Reynolds shear stresses. It is found that a Reynolds shear stress similarity exists from separation to reattachment and the Schofield-Perry velocity law exists in the forward shear flow. Both profiles are used in the experimental work that leads to the design of a new eddy-viscosity model. The length scale is taken from that developed by Schofield and Perry. The composite velocity scale is formed by the maximum Reynolds shear stress and the Schofield-Perry velocity scale as well as the edge velocity of the boundary layer. The results of these experiments are presented in this paper.  相似文献

This experimental investigation deals with transition phenomena of a separated boundary layer under unsteady inlet flow conditions. The main purpose of this investigation is to understand the influence of the rotor-stator interaction in turbomachinery on the subsequent, highly loaded boundary layer. The research project is divided into two phases. In the first phase, which has been completed recently, only the variation of mean velocity caused by upstream blades was simulated in the experiments while the free-stream turbulence intensity was retained at a constant low level. The experiments are carried out in an Eifel-type wind tunnel to investigate the laminar separated boundary layer of a flat plate under oscillating inlet conditions. The adverse pressure gradient, similar to that of turbomachines, is generated by the contoured upper wall. The unsteadiness is produced by a rotating flap located downstream of the test section. The reduced frequency, the amplitude and the mean Reynolds number are varied to simulate the conditions prevailing in turbomachines. In addition to the Kelvin–Helmholtz instability of the separated shear layer, a lower frequency instability was observed. This is frequently referred to as `free shear layer flapping' and results in two distinctly different ways of re-attachment, depending primarily on the Reynolds number. For low momentum thickness Reynolds numbers at the separation point, large-scale vortices locked to the frequency of the unsteady main flow are identified. They originate nearly at the top of the separation bubble and are ejected downstream. A fully turbulent boundary layer develops after these vortices mix out. For higher Reynolds numbers, transition is completed within a short length of the free shear layer and there-attachment region. The characteristic momentum thickness Reynolds number separating these two regimes in unsteady flow is about 125. The Strouhal number (reduced frequency) does not appear to have any significant effect. Based on the experimental results, this behaviour is discussed in some detail. To investigate the relationship between characteristics of the coherent fine scale eddy and a laminar–turbulent transition, a direct numerical simulation (DNS) of a spatially-developing turbulent mixing layer with Reω,0 = 700 was conducted. On the onset of the transition, strong coherent fine scale eddies appears in the mixing layer. The most expected value of maximum azimuthal velocity of the eddy is 2.0 times Kolmogorov velocity (uk), and decreases to 1.2uk, which is an asymptotic value in the fully-developed state, through the transition. The energy dissipation rate around the eddy is twice as high compared with that in the fully-developed state. However, the most expected diameter and eigenvalues ratio of strain rate acting on the coherent fine scale eddy are maintained to be 8 times Kolmogorov length (η) and :β:γ = −5:1:4 in the transition process. In addition to Kelvin–Helmholtz rollers, rib structures do not disappear in the transition process and are composed of lots of coherent fine scale eddies in the fully-developed state instead of a single eddy observed in early stage of the transition or in laminar flow.  相似文献

A new hybrid RANS/LES approach with scale-adaptive capabilities is developed. The blending function in the SST model is adopted to prevent the invasion of the von Karman length scale to the RANS region, and the compressibility correction proposed by Wilcox is incorporated to produce a realistic shear layer development in compressible flows. The new model is validated for a subcritical flow past a circular cylinder and a supersonic base flow. Time-averaged turbulent statistics predicted by the new model show fairly good agreement with the experimental data, slight improvements over DES simulations, and are much better than SAS results. The main advantage of the new model over the DES method is that the distribution of the blending function reflects local vortex structures instead of grid spacing in the turbulent wake. The sequence of the effect intensity of the compressibility correction from strong to weak is SAS, the new model and DES.  相似文献

The near wake structure of a square cross section cylinder in flow perpendicular to its length was investigated experimentally over a Reynolds number (based on cylinder width) range of 6700–43,000. The wake structure and the characteristics of the instability wave, scaling on θ at separation, were strongly dependent on the incidence angle () of the freestream velocity. The nondimensional frequency (Stθ) of the instability wave varied within the range predicted for laminar instability frequencies for flat plate wakes, jets and shear layers. For = 22.5°, the freestream velocity was accelerated over the side walls and the deflection of the streamlines (from both sides of the cylinder) towards the center line was higher compared to the streamlines for = 0°. This caused the vortices from both sides of the cylinder to merge by x/d 2, giving the mean velocity distribution typical of a wake profile. For = 0°, the vortices shed from both sides of the cylinder did not merge until x/d 4.5. The separation boundary layer for all cases was either transitional or turbulent, yet the results showed good qualitative, and for some cases even quantitative, agreement with linearized stability results for small amplitude disturbances waves in laminar separation layers.  相似文献

Flow past a circular cylinder for Re=100 to 107 is studied numerically by solving the unsteady incompressible two‐dimensional Navier–Stokes equations via a stabilized finite element formulation. It is well known that beyond Re ~ 200 the flow develops significant three‐dimensional features. Therefore, two‐dimensional computations are expected to fall well short of predicting the flow accurately at high Re. It is fairly well accepted that the shear layer instability is primarily a two‐dimensional phenomenon. The frequency of the shear layer vortices, from the present computations, agree quite well with the Re0.67 variation observed by other researchers from experimental measurements. The main objective of this paper is to investigate a possible relationship between the drag crisis (sudden loss of drag at Re ~ 2 × 105) and the instability of the separated shear layer. As Re is increased the transition point of shear layer, beyond which it is unstable, moves upstream. At the critical Reynolds number the transition point is located very close to the point of flow separation. As a result, the shear layer eddies cause mixing of the flow in the boundary layer. This energizes the boundary layer and leads to its reattachment. The delay in flow separation is associated with narrowing of wake, increase in Reynolds shear stress near the shoulder of the cylinder and a significant reduction in the drag and base suction coefficients. The spatial and temporal power spectra for the kinetic energy of the Re=106 flow are computed. As in two‐dimensional isotropic turbulence, E(k) varies as k?5/3 for wavenumbers higher than energy injection scale and as k?3 for lower wavenumbers. The present computations suggest that the shear layer vortices play a major role in the transition of boundary layer from laminar to turbulent state. Tomographic and time resolved PIV measurements were performed to examine the 3D flow topology and the flow dynamic above the upper surface of a low-aspect ratio cylinder at Re ≈ 1 ×  105. This generic experiment is of fundamental interest because it represents flow features which are relevant to many applications such as laminar separation bubbles and turbulent reattachment. At Re  ≈ 1 × 105, laminar separation bubbles arise on the side of the cylinder. Furthermore, on the top of the cylinder a separation with reattachment is of major interest. The tomographic PIV measurement, which allows to determine all three velocity components in a volume instantaneously, was applied to examine the flow topology and interaction between the boundary layer and wake structures on the top of the finite cylinder. In the instantaneous flow fields the tip vortices and the recirculation region becomes visible. However, it is also observed that the flow is quite unsteady due to the large separation occurring on the top of the cylinder. In order to study the temporal behaviour of the separation, time resolved PIV was applied. This technique allows capturing the dynamic processes in detail. The development of vortices in the separated shear layer is observed and in addition regions with different dominant frequencies are identified.  相似文献

对不可压缩层流二维干扰流动,本文提出一个干扰流动(IF)理论。IF理论要点为:1)干扰流动沿主流的法向被分为三层即粘性层、干扰层和无粘层,引进了法向动量交换为主导过程的干扰层概念。2)利用力学守恒律、三层匹配关系及文中引进的干扰模型,把三层的空间尺度及惯性-粘性诸力的数置级表示为单参数m的函数,m<1/2·3)导出描述各层流动的控制方程、导出描述全城流动的控制方程为简化Navie-Stokes(SNS)方程。IF理论适用于不存在分离的附着干扰流动以及存在分离的大范围干扰流动,经典边界层(CBL)理论和流动分离局部区域Triple-Deck(TD)理论分别是本文理论在参数m=O和1/4时的两个特例,本文理论容易推广到可压缩、三维及湍流流动。  相似文献

 The spatial-temporal progressions of the leading-edge stagnation, separation and reattachment points, and the state of the unsteady boundary layer developed on the upper surface of a 6 in. chord NACA 0012 airfoil model, oscillated sinusoidally within and beyond the static-stall angle, were measured using 140 closely-spaced, multiple hot-film sensors (MHFS). The MHFS measurements show that (i) the laminar separation point and transition were delayed with increasing α and the reattachment and relaminarization were promoted with decreasing α, relative to the static case, (ii) the pitchup motion helped to keep the boundary layer attached to higher angles of attack over that could be obtained statically, (iii) the dynamic stall process was initiated by the turbulent flow separation in the leading-edge region as well as by the onset of flow reversal in the trailing-edge region, and (iv) the dynamic stall process was found not to originate with the bursting of a laminar separation bubble, but with a breakdown of the turbulent boundary layer. The MHFS measurements also show that the flow unsteadiness caused by airfoil motion as well as by the flow disturbances can be detected simultaneously and nonintrusively. The MHFS characterizations of the unsteady boundary layers are useful in the study of unsteady separated flowfields generated by rapidly maneuvering aircraft, helicopter rotor blades, and wing energy machines. Supersonic laminar flow past a two-dimensional “flat-plate/wedge“ configuration is numerically investigated. The pressures at the boundary layer separation and reattachment points are calculated over wide Mach and Reynolds number ranges. The minimum angles of the wedge surface inclination at which a return flow occurs are determined. The results are presented in the form of generalized Mach-number-dependences of the theoretical pressure on the wedge surface initiating boundary layer separation and the pressure at the boundary layer reattachment point.  相似文献
