The temperature and field behaviors of the linear and nonlinear responses to a weak ac magnetic field in the Sm1−x SrxMnO3 manganites with x=0.25, 0.3, and 0.4 have been investigated. It is found that the hysteresis of the second harmonic of magnetization in the dc magneticfield arises in the far-paramagnetic range at T≤180 K, whereas the hystereses of the linear susceptibility and the dc resistivity are observed at lower temperatures. This phenomenon is associated with the formation of macroscopic ferromagnetic (ferrimagnetic) domains in the paramagnetic matrix. The shape of the temperature dependence of the linear susceptibility at T>T c is determined by the degree of doping, and the susceptibility itself nonmonotonically depends on x.  相似文献

Dynamics of axisymmetric Alfvén and slow magnetoacoustic waves in weakly twisted magnetic flux tubes is considered. Linear dispersion relations for the waves are derived and analyzed in the presence of the twisting. The weakly nonlinear dynamics is shown to be governed by the Korteweg-de Vries equation. Nonlinear slow body waves appear as a narrowing of tube in a low β plasma and widening of tube, when β ⪢ 1. Nonlinear Alfvén torsional waves appear as a widening (β > 1) and narrowing (β < 1) of tube, accompanied by the local increase of the tube twisting.  相似文献

The Fe x TiTe2 system, which belongs to the class of materials with the electronic spectrum containing below the Fermi level the band of localized states with a strong temperature dependence of the band width, has been investigated experimentally. Heating of the material leads to a broadening of the band of localized states. When the top of this band crosses with the Fermi level, the effect of retrograde solubility is observed in the system; i.e., the metal precipitates to the composition ensuring the absence of increase in the Fermi energy during heating. The influence of the band of localized states on the structure of the material and its magnetic and electrical properties has been analyzed.  相似文献

We report on the magnetic properties of a Ni(2+)-vermiculite intercalation compound from Santa Olalla, Huelva (Spain). This modified vermiculite was studied by means of DC and AC magnetic measurements. The existence of two maxima in magnetic susceptibility below 10?K was interpreted in terms of the Cole-Cole formalism as being due to spin-glass freezing in this material. The temperature, frequency and external magnetic field dependences of these anomalies located at temperatures around 2-3?K and 8-10?K in the imaginary part of the magnetic susceptibility, χ″, seem to suggest the existence of spin-relaxation phenomena between the magnetic moments of the Ni(2+) ions. A dynamic study of the relaxation processes associated with these phenomena considering the Cole-Cole formalism allows us to interpret the anomaly found at 2-3?K according to a law of activated dynamics, obtaining values for the critical exponent, ψν?相似文献

The Fe0.5TiSe2 compound with a monoclinic crystal structure has been prepared by intercalation of Fe atoms between Se-Ti-Se sandwiches in the layered structure of TiSe2. The crystal and magnetic structures, electrical resistivity, and magnetization of the Fe0.5TiSe2 compound have been investigated. According to the neutron diffraction data, the Fe0.5TiSe2 compound has a tilted antiferromagnetic structure at temperatures below the Néel temperature of 135 K, in which the magnetic moments of Fe atoms are antiferromagnetically ordered inside layers and located at an angle of approximately 74.4° with respect to the layer plane. The magnetic moment of Fe atoms is equal to (2.98 ± 0.05)μB. The antiferromagnetic ordering is accompanied by anisotropic spontaneous magnetostrictive distortions of the crystal lattice, which is associated with the spin-orbit interaction and the effect of the crystal field.  相似文献

The third-order nonlinear susceptibilities and nonlinear refractive indices of KDP, BBO, and LiNbO3 crystals at wavelengths of 1064 and 532 nm are measured using the Z-scan technique. The measurements are made for different energies of incident radiation and different focusing conditions and crystal lengths. It is found that, as the angle between the light beam and the principal optic axis of a KDP crystal increases, the nonlinearity drops, with its magnitude at a wavelength of 1064 nm being higher than at 532 nm. For a BBO crystal, the nonlinearity dispersion is normal. The mechanisms of nonlinear losses in KDP, BBO, and LiNbO3 crystals are identified. The values of the nonlinear susceptibilities thus obtained are analyzed and compared with the results of calculations based on an empirical model and with the data of other authors.  相似文献

We theoretically deduce the macroscopic symmetry constraints for arbitrary odd-order nonlinear susceptibilities in homogeneous media including atomic vapors for the first time. After theoretically calculating the expressions using a semiclassical method, we demonstrate that the expressions for third- and fifth-order nonlinear susceptibilities for undressed and dressed four- and six-wave mixing (FWM and SWM) in atomic vapors satisfy the macroscopic symmetry constraints. We experimentally demonstrate consistence between the macroscopic symmetry constraints and the semiclassical expressions for atomic vapors by observing polarization control of FWM and SWM processes. The experimental results are in reasonable agreement with our theoretical calculations.  相似文献

A non-isothermal kinetic equation for the distribution function of a sub-system weakly coupled to a bath is derived by modification of the analysis and assumptions of a previous paper [1]. The equation has the form of a generalized non-isothermal Fokker-Planck equation when it is linearized in thermodynamic gradients and only terms through second order in the coupling parameters are retained. Higher order terms in the coupling parameter do not diverge with time. The equation is compared with certain ‘exact’ model results of Ullersma and with the coherence time method. The equation is used to calculate a jump rate for diffusion of a harmonic particle weakly coupled to a lattice and it is found that the jump rate becomes independent of the mass of the particle for a heavy enough particle. The source of the discrepancy of this result with a similar calculation of Prigogine and Bak is indicated. The model of the jump rate is inappropriate for diffusion in a thermal gradient and more appropriate models of the jump are briefly considered. A brief comparison of the derivation of the kinetic equation with the Fano coherence time approximation is made and a difference is noted.  相似文献

Coupled Hartree-Fock calculations on the susceptibilities X and magnetic shielding constants σ are reported for the title molecules. Very large gaussian basis sets have been used in order to come sufficiently close to the Hartree-Fock limit. The basis set dependence of X and σ is discussed. In addition the applicability of two methods (maximum of X [20] and closure relations [21, 22]) for the prediction of the best gauge origins is investigated.

For C2H2, C2H4 aand C2H6 accurate theoretical results for the complete tensors of X and σ are given for the first time. For ethylene antishielding of σ yy C is observed and illustrated by means of the induced electric currents.  相似文献

The critical temperature Tc, and the angular and temperature dependences of the upper critical field Hc2 in highly oriented pseudo-single crystals of C8K have been studied by using a magnetic susceptibility measurement. The magnetic susceptibility abruptly changes around 139 mK at zero field. The angular dependence of Hc2 shows a very large anisotropy.  相似文献
