A new electrostatic field measurement method: The coherent-notch field mill   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Conventional electric field mill designs are not able to measure quasi-static atmospheric electric fields in the vicinity of high-voltage power systems. The electric fields generated by such power systems produce severe perturbations to the quasi-static background electric field. Filtering of these perturbations by the field mill circuitry seems to be easy because of their periodically alternating character. However, the operation of a field mill involves an effective signal filtering method, as presented in this paper. Because field mill operation gives rise to amplitude modulation of the incident electric field under measurement, a new technique based on coherent demodulation and notch filtering is proposed. Simulation and experimental results validate the excellent performance of the proposed method for measuring sudden step functions in electric field in presence of a severely perturbed ambient.  相似文献

Ionic liquids have attracted a lot of research attention for their applications in novel optoelectronic structures and devices as an optical means of regulating electricity. Although the electro-optic effect of ionic liquids is mentioned in some literature, quantitative testing and analysis are hardly found in light absorption coefficients of ionic liquids under an electric field. In the present study, an experimental apparatus is designed to measure the absorption coefficients of ionic liquids under different electric fields. Five groups of imidazole ionic liquids are experimentally investigated and an inversion is performed to determine the spectral absorption coefficients of the imidazole ionic liquids under the electric fields. Different intensities with multiple interface refractions and reflections are also considered, and the various measurement errors are analyzed through uncertainties propagation analysis. Spectral absorptions of ionic liquids from 300 nm to 2500 nm are obtained and the absorption coefficients are retrieved. It is found that the absorption behavior of ionic liquids changes in some frequency bands under an applied electric field. The experimental results show that the absorption coefficient of the ionic liquid increases with the voltage increasing at 1520 nm and 1920 nm. The change rate is affected by the types of anions and cations in the ionic liquid and the diffusion rate of the ions therein. This study provides illustrations for the ionic liquid-based electro-optical regulation in terms of physical property parameters and the testing technique.  相似文献

为提高声学CT复杂温度场重建能力,提出一种利用Markov径向基函数逼近和Tikhonov正则化的温度场重建算法,简称MTR算法。该算法首先用Markov径向基函数的线性组合,逼近介质中的复杂声速场分布,然后利用介质中多路径声波传播时间和Tikhonov正则化法,求解声速场分布,进而利用声速与温度的关系获得温度分布。对单热点、三热点和五热点温度场模型进行了仿真重建,结果表明MTR算法热点定位精度高,重建误差小。开发了声学CT温度场重建实验系统,用电加热器在内装1200 kg大豆的实验粮仓中形成热点,MTR重建结果能正确反映热点位置,热点温度重建误差1.3%。可见,MTR算法复杂温度场重建能力强,可望用于实际储粮温度分布监测。   相似文献

磁共振成像(Magntic Resonance Imaging,MRI)技术是一种先进的医疗影像技术.在MRI系统中,通过梯度线圈电流快速切换方向,对待测区域施加梯度磁场,产生的梯度磁场会在其周围的金属体内激发出变化的涡旋电场,进而导致金属体内闭合的回路中产生对原来的梯度电流起抑制作用的感生电流,也就是我们所说的涡流.本文介绍了一种测量磁体涡流场的方法,结合电磁感应定律,设计了一种磁体涡流场测量装置,通过硬件采集以及软件处理的方法,将理想梯度场与实际磁场进行相减并将波形实时呈现,实验结果表明该方法可实现对磁体涡流场的测量.  相似文献

Temperature dependences of the intensity of Gudden-Pohl flashes in zinc sulfide crystals in various electric fields were measured in order to study trap ionization by electric fields. The decrease in the flash intensity from trap levels of a given depth in a certain temperature range is due to a decrease in the probability for the liberation of an electron from a trap as the temperature decreases. The temperature dependences of the flash intensity found in various electric fields are compared with the theoretical temperature dependence of the probability for electron liberation from a trap. The agreement between experimental and theoretical curves indicates that electrons are liberated from the deeper levels through ionization by an electric field involving many phonons.Translated from Izvestiya VUZ. Measurement of gravitomagnetic field is of fundamental importance as a test of general relativity. Here we present a new theoretical project for performing such a measurement based on detection of the electric field arising from the interplay between the gravitomagnetic and magnetic fields in the stationary axial-symmetric gravitational field of a slowly rotating massive body. Finally it is shown that precise magnetometers based on superconducting quantum interferometers could not be designed for measurement of the gravitomagnetically induced magnetic field in the cavity of a charged capacitor since they measure the circulation of a vector potential of electromagnetic field, i.e., an invariant quantity including the sum of electric and magnetic fields, and the general-relativistic magnetic part will be totally cancelled by the electric one which is in good agreement with the experimental results.  相似文献

The in-plane effective 90° magnetization rotation of Co_2 Fe Al thin film grown on PMN-PT substrate induced by the electric field is investigated at room temperature. The magnetic hysteresis loops under different positive and negative electric fields are obtained, which reveals remanent magnetization can be mediated by the electric field. Moreover, under positive electric fields, the obvious 90° magnetization rotation can be observed, while remanent magnetization is nearly unchanged under negative electric fields. The result is consistent with the electric field dependence of effective magnetic field,which can be attributed to the piezostrain effect in Co_2 Fe Al/PMN-PT structure. In addition, the piezostrain-mediated 90° magnetization rotation can be demonstrated by the result of resonance field changing with electric field in the measurement of ferromagnetic resonance, which is promising for the design of future multiferroic devices.  相似文献

Rydberg原子具有极大的极化率和微波跃迁偶极矩,对外界电磁场非常敏感,可实现基于Rydberg原子的超宽频带射频电场的高分辨高灵敏测量.通过Rydberg原子的全光学无损的电磁感应透明探测手段,可以实现基于原子的快速免校准宽频带(0.01-1000 GHz)外电场的精密测量.对于频率大于1 GHz的微波场,由微波场耦合相邻Rydberg能级形成的Autler-Townes分裂进行测量;而对于频率小于1 GHz的长波射频场,由Rydberg能级的射频边带能级进行测量.这种方法是基于原子能级参数,可溯源到基本物理常量,不依赖于外界参考;且对电场无干扰,易于实现微型化和集成化,具有广泛的应用前景.本文主要综述了基于Rydberg原子的外电场测量的最新研究进展,重点介绍长波长射频场的测量,包括电场强度、频率以及极化方向的测量,详细介绍了其测量原理和探测灵敏度,并讨论了其应用前景及未来发展方向.  相似文献

Electrostatic potentials or electric fields are often measured in order to characterize materials or to make a diagnostic of an industrial installation. Electrostatic probes or field mills are widely used and sometimes considered equivalent. However, experimental configurations must be carefully analyzed to make a valid interpretation. Depending on the instrument, results and influence on the analyzed system are very different. An analysis of different situations shows the electrostatic conditions imposed by each instrument and the concept of unperturbed surface potential. We propose a novel light intensity modulator based on magnetic fluid and liquid crystal(LC) filled photonic crystal fibers(PCFs). The influences of electric and magnetic fields on the transmission intensity are theoretically and experimentally analyzed and investigated. Both the electric and magnetic fields can manipulate the molecular arrangement of LC to array a certain angle without changing the refractive index of the LC. Therefore, light loss in the PCF varies with the electric and magnetic fields whereas the peak wavelengths remain constant. The experimental results show that the transmission intensity decreases with the increase of the electric and magnetic fields. The cut-off electric field is 0.899 V/um at 20 Hz and the cut-off magnetic field is 195 m T. This simple and compacted optical modulator will have a great prospect in sensing applications.  相似文献

Flame stabilisation and extinction in a number of different flows can be affected by application of electric fields. Electrons and ions are present in flames, and because of charge separation, weak electric fields can also be generated even when there is no externally applied electric field. In this work, a numerical model incorporating ambipolar diffusion and plasma kinetics has been developed to predict gas temperature, species, and ion and electron concentrations in laminar premixed flames without applied electric fields. This goal has been achieved by combining the existing CHEMKIN-based PREMIX code with a recently developed methodology for the solution of electron temperature and transport properties that uses a plasma kinetics model and a Boltzmann equation solver. A chemical reaction set has been compiled from seven sources and includes chemiionisation, ion-molecule, and dissociative–recombination reactions. The numerical results from the modified PREMIX code (such as peak number densities of positive ions) display good agreement with previously published experimental data for fuel-rich, non-sooting, low-pressure acetylene and ethylene flames without applied electric fields.  相似文献

The effect of magnetic field has been studied on the Gunn effect threshold electric field for short planar Gunn devices. 里德堡原子具有大的极化率、低的场电离阈值和大的电偶极矩,对外部电磁场十分敏感,可以用来测量电场强度特别是微波电场的强度. 利用里德堡原子的量子干涉效应(电磁诱导透明和Autler-Townes效应)测量微波电场强度的灵敏度远高于传统采用偶极天线测量微波电场的灵敏度. 此外,里德堡原子电场计 可以溯源到标准物理量,不需要额外校准; 采用玻璃探头,对待测电场干扰少; 灵敏度也不依赖于探头的物理尺寸. 同时,该电场计还可以实现对微波电场的偏振方向的测量, 实现亚波长和近场区域电场成像与测量. 通过选择不同的里德堡能级,可以实现1-500 GHz超宽频段范围内微波电场强度的测量. 主要综述基于里德堡原子的电场精密测量研究, 详细介绍了里德堡原子电场计的原理与实验进展, 并简单讨论了其发展方向.  相似文献

The forces acting on levitating water microdroplets in the structure of a droplet cluster (A.A. Fedorets, 2004) have been analyzed. It is found that microdroplets in the cluster should undergo low-frequency vertical damping oscillations near the equilibrium position. Oscillations occur also when switching on an external electric field, which affects the oscillation frequency and equilibrium position. Microdroplets are shown to lose their stability in the critical range of parameters. The electric fields are calculated in the simplest experimental scheme for simulating the effect of electric field on a droplet cluster.  相似文献

The determination, by Mössbauer57Fe spectroscopy, of the sign and the asymmetry parameter of the electric field gradient (EFG), in a non-magnetic powder sample, needs the use of an external magnetic field. Usually a “parallel-magnetic-field-to-the-gamma-rays” configuration is employed. In the present work, theoretically generated spectra in both configurations, parallel an perpendicular, are compared. The result is that the spectra in the perpendicular configuration show always a larger asymmetry for the same fields intensitics. In consequence, the sign determination of the EFG, is possible with magnetic fields significantly smaller in the perpendicular case than in the parallel one. Furthermore, the practical consequences are important, because EFG studies with conventional electromagnets, allowing only fields lower than 25 kGauss are feasible. As an example. Mössbauer experimental results obtained at room temperature for natural pyrite (FeS2) in perpendicular fields of 15 and 20 kGauss, created by a conventional electromagnet, are shown here.  相似文献

A phase field method is developed to investigate the morphological evolution of a vesicle in an electric field, taking into account coupled mechanical and electric effects such as bending, osmotic pressure, surface tension, flexoelectricity, and dielectricity of the membrane. The energy of the system is formulated in terms of a continuous phase field variable and the electric potential. The governing equations of the phase field and the electric field are solved using the Galerkin weighted residual approach. The validation and robustness of the algorithm are verified by direct comparisons of the obtained numerical solutions with relevant experimental results. The morphological evolution of an axisymmetric vesicle under an electric field is studied in detail. The results demonstrate that the present method can simulate complex morphological evolutions of vesicles under coupled mechanical–electrical fields.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to present a post-processing technique based on a derivative Gaussian filter to reconstruct heat source fields from temperature fields measured by infrared thermography. Heat sources can be deduced from temperature variations thanks to the heat diffusion equation. Filtering and differentiating are key-issues which are closely related here because the temperature fields which are processed are unavoidably noisy. We focus here only on the diffusion term because it is the most difficult term to estimate in the procedure, the reason being that it involves spatial second derivatives (a Laplacian for isotropic materials). This quantity can be reasonably estimated using a convolution of the temperature variation fields with second derivatives of a Gaussian function. The study is first based on synthetic temperature variation fields corrupted by added noise. The filter is optimised in order to reconstruct at best the heat source fields. The influence of both the dimension and the level of a localised heat source is discussed. Obtained results are also compared with another type of processing based on an averaging filter. The second part of this study presents an application to experimental temperature fields measured with an infrared camera on a thin plate in aluminium alloy. Heat sources are generated with an electric heating patch glued on the specimen surface. Heat source fields reconstructed from measured temperature fields are compared with the imposed heat sources. Obtained results illustrate the relevancy of the derivative Gaussian filter to reliably extract heat sources from noisy temperature fields for the experimental thermomechanics of materials.  相似文献

Using the density functional B3P86/cc-PV5Z method, the geometric structure of BH molecule under different external electric fields is optimized, and the bond lengths, dipole moments, vibration frequencies, and other physical properties parameters are obtained. On the basis of setting appropriate parameters, scanning single point energies are obtained by the same method and the potential energy curves under different external fields are also obtained. These results show that the physical property parameters and potential energy curves may change with external electric field, especially in the case of reverse direction electric field. The potential energy function without external electric field is fitted by Morse potential, and the fitting parameters are obtained which are in good agreement with experimental values. In order to obtain the critical dissociation electric parameter, the dipole approximation is adopted to construct a potential model fitting the corresponding potential energy curve of the external electric field. It is found that the fitted critical dissociation electric parameter is consistent with numerical calculation, so that the constructed model is reliable and accurate. These results will provide important theoretical and experimental reference for further studying the molecular spectrum, dynamics, and molecular cooling with Stark effect.  相似文献

Results of the dual field nonlinear dielectric spectroscopy (NDS) studies in supercooled glass forming epoxy resin EPON 828 are presented. For the NDS, changes of dielectric permittivity induced by DC (rectangular) or AC (sine-wave) pulses of a strong electric field were probed by a weak radio frequency electric field. A clear stretched exponential (x < 1) decay after switching off the DC pulse and a single exponential decay (x = 1) after switching off the AC pulse were found. The same results are presented for preliminary studies in superpressed low molecular glass former di-isobutyl phthalate. This observation may be considered as an argument for the heterogeneous picture of supercooled glass forming materials. The temperature dependences of the stationary responses related to DC and AC strong electric field excitations are also shown. The sensitivity of the applied set up made it possible to detect NDS outputs even for electric fields E(strong) < 10 kV cm(-1), qualitatively weaker than in similar 'nonlinear, dielectric' experimental studies on glass forming materials carried out so far.  相似文献
