The transition from low-confinement (L-mode) to high-confinement (H-mode) plasmas has been directly produced by injecting frozen deuterium pellets in the DIII-D tokamak. H-mode transitions were produced at edge electron and ion temperatures below the L-mode values. This implies that a critical edge temperature is not necessary for H-mode transitions. The experimentally determined edge plasma parameters were well below those predicted by several theories of the H-mode transition to trigger the H-mode, indicating a need for revision of these theories.  相似文献

H-mode discharges with lower hybrid current drive (LHCD) alone are achieved in EAST divertor plasma over a wide parameter range. These H-mode discharges are characterized by a sudden drop in Dα emission and a spontaneous rise in main plasma density. Good lower hybrid (LH) coupling during H-mode is obtained by putting the plasma close to the antenna and by injecting D2 gas from a pipe near the grill mouse. The analysis of lower hybrid current drive properties shows that the LH deposition profile shifts off axis during H-mode, and current drive (CD) efficiency decreases due to the increase in density. Modeling results of H-mode discharges with a general ray tracing code GENRAY are reported.  相似文献

Dependence of the neutral gas temperature on the gas pressure and discharge power in an inductively coupled plasma source has been investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. Both nitrogen and argon plasmas have been studied separately. In the case of argon plasma, about 5% nitrogen was added to the total gas flow as an actinometer. The maximum temperature was found to be as high as 1850 K at 1 Torr working pressure and 600 W radiofrequency power. The temperature increases almost linearly with the logarithm of the gas pressure, but changes only slightly with the discharge power in the range of 100–600 W. In a nitrogen plasma, a sudden increase in the neutral gas temperature occurs when the gas pressure is increased at a given discharge power. This suggests a discharge-mode transition from the H-mode (high plasma density) to the E-mode (low plasma density). In the H-mode, the gas temperature is proportional to the logarithm of the gas pressure, as in the argon plasma. However, the gas temperature increases almost linearly with the discharge power, which is in contrast to the case of argon plasma. The electron density in the nitrogen plasma is about 10% of that in the argon plasma. This may explain the observation that the nitrogen neutral temperature is always lower than the argon neutral temperature under the same discharge power and gas pressure.  相似文献

H-mode operation has been achieved in high current (I(p)>200 kA) plasmas in the START spherical tokamak for both neutral-beam-injection-heated and Ohmic discharges. The transition to H mode features the development of well-defined edge pedestals in density and temperature, which signifies the formation of an edge-transport barrier, and associated edge-localized modes. Recent operation at plasma currents exceeding 250 kA shows that these features are accompanied by increases in energy confinement time. This is the first clear demonstration of the H-mode regime in a spherical tokamak.  相似文献

A quasisteady reversed shear plasma with a large bootstrap current fraction ( approximately 80%) has been obtained for the first time in the JT-60U tokamak. The shrinkage of reversed shear region was suppressed by the bootstrap current peaked at the internal transport barrier (ITB) layer and the ITBs at a large radius were sustained, which, by combination with an H-mode edge pedestal, resulted in a high confinement or 2.2 times the H-mode scaling for 6 times energy confinement time or 2.7 s. Furthermore, a full noninductive current drive was obtained by the bootstrap current and the beam driven current.  相似文献

介绍了在HT-6M托卡马克上,利用双低杂波的组合,成功地实现了准稳态的高约束模式运行. 能量约束时间提高两倍以上,粒子的约束在较高密度下依然改善3倍以上.通过应用波扩散及 电流径向扩散方程计算低杂波电流传播的方法,对一组典型的数据进行数值模拟.计算表明 ,在HT-6M低杂波实验中,由于纵场较低,密度较高,低杂波的能量沉积在离磁轴较远的位 置,使等离子体电流密度分布成为反剪切位形,内部输运垒地形成,大大提高了等离子体的 约束状况.实验数据也给出了反剪切的证据. 关键词: 托卡马克 低杂波 约束改善  相似文献

本文从一简单模型出发,研究了H模式放电中边界附近的漂移波不稳定性。发现由于H模式放电中边界密度梯度很大,磁剪切的稳定作用变得不重要,漂移波不稳定性可以在边界附近发生,并可能成为宽频带密度涨落的原因。来自中性束加热的高能离子与漂移波的共振,则可能解释准相干涨落。  相似文献

在HL-2A 装置上优化和发展了偏滤器靶板上的红外测温系统,并利用该系统分析了高约束模放电期间边缘局域模的热沉积分布特性。在高约束模式放电期间,超声分子束注入使边缘局域模所引起的偏滤器靶板上瞬间热通量峰值下降了~60%,并伴随着边缘局域模爆发频率增加了2~3 倍,而等离子体储能仅下降了~8%。分析结果表明,大幅度的丝状结构在超声分子束注入之后得到了有效抑制,沉积到偏滤器靶板上的瞬间热通量峰值也随之下降。此外,在超声分子束注入之后偏滤器室内的热辐射损失大幅度增加,从而耗散了热输运所携带的部分能量,进一步分散了沉积到偏滤器靶板上的能量,有效地保护了偏滤器靶板。  相似文献

This paper presents the evolution of the electronegativity with the applied power during the E to H mode transition in a radio frequency(rf)inductively coupled plasma(ICP)in a mixture of Ar and O2.The densities of the negative ion and the electron,as well as their ratio,i.e.,the electronegativity,are measured as a function of the applied power by laser photo-detachment combined with a microwave resonance probe,under different pressures and O2 contents.Meanwhile,the optical emission intensities at Ar 750.4 nm and O 844.6 nm are monitored via a spectrograph.It was found that by increasing the applied power,the electron density and the optical emission intensity show a similar trench,i.e.,they increase abruptly at a threshold power,suggesting that the E to H mode transition occurs.With the increase of the pressure,the negative ion density presents opposite trends in the E-mode and the H-mode,which is related to the difference of the electron density and energy for the two modes.The emission intensities of Ar 750.4 nm and O 844.6 nm monotonously decrease with increasing the pressure or the O2 content,indicating that the density of high-energy electrons,which can excite atoms,is monotonically decreased.This leads to an increase of the negative ion density in the H-mode with increasing the pressure.Besides,as the applied power is increased,the electronegativity shows an abrupt drop during the E-to H-mode transition.  相似文献

In the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak, high poloidal beta up to beta(pol) = 3 at the Greenwald density with H-mode confinement has been reached. Because of the high beta, the plasma current is driven almost fully noninductively, consisting of 51% bootstrap and 43% neutral beam driven current. To reach these conditions the discharge is operated at low plasma current ( I(P) = 400 kA) and high neutral beam heating power ( P(NBI) = 10 MW). The discharge combines an edge (H mode) and internal transport barrier at high densities without confinement-limiting MHD activities. The extrapolation to higher plasma currents may offer a promising way for an advanced scenario based fusion reactor.  相似文献

利用SOLPS5.0模拟研究东方超环托卡马克(EAST)高约束模式时的刮削层等离子体. 在高约束模式放电实验参数(第36291炮)的限制下,通过调整上游区径向反常输运系数来实现高约束模式模拟,在上游电子密度和温度与实验符合的条件下能够很好地进行下游区模拟. 在实现高约束模拟的基础上又分别研究了漂移项对偏滤器靶板能流不对称性的影响和上游能流衰减宽度对靶板能流密度峰值的影响. 通过模拟发现,漂移是导致EAST放电内外靶板不对称性的主要原因,增大上游能流衰减宽度可以明显降低入射到靶板的峰值热流,并且偏滤器区辐射以及与中性粒子的相互作用减小了能流的衰减宽度对达到靶板能流的影响. 关键词: 托卡马克 高约束模式 SOLPS5.0 漂移  相似文献

基于深度学习的方法,在HL-2A装置上开发出了一套边缘局域模(ELM)实时识别算法。算法使用5200次放电数据(约24.19万数据切片)进行学习,得到一个深度为22层的卷积神经网络。为衡量算法的识别能力,识别了HL-2A装置自2009年实现稳定ELMyH模放电以来所有历史数据(约26000次放电数据),共识别出1665次H模放电,其中误识别35次,误报率为2.10%。在实际的1634次H模放电中,漏识别4次,漏识别率为0.24%。该误报率和漏报率可以满足ELM实时识别的精度要求。识别算法在实时控制环境下,对单个时间点的平均计算时间为0.46ms,可以满足实时控制的计算速度要求。  相似文献

The first results of the electrode biasing experiments performed on the T-10 tokamak are presented. Positive voltage applied to an electrode inserted inside the tokamak limiter results in the H-mode transition characterised by a decrease of D emission intensity, a rise of line-average plasma density and an increase in energy lifetime. Growth of core electron and ion temperatures during the electrode biasing implies the formation of the thermal barrier in addition to the particle transport barrier.  相似文献

The COMPASS-D tokamak, originally operated by UKAEA at Culham, UK, will be reinstalled at the Institute of Plasma Physics (IPP) AS CR. The COMPASS device was designed as a flexible tokamak in the 1980s mainly to explore the MHD physics. Its operation (with D-shaped vessel) began at the Culham Laboratory of the Association EURATOM/ UKAEA in 1992.The COMPASS-D tokamak will have the following unique features after putting in operation on IPP Prague. It will be the smallest tokamak with a clear H-mode and ITER-relevant geometry. ITER-relevant plasma conditions will be achieved by installation of two neutral beam injection systems (2 × 300 kW), enabling co-and counter-injections. Redeployment of the existing LH system (400 kW) is also envisaged. A comprehensive set of diagnostics focused mainly on the edge plasma will be installed.The scientific programme proposed for the COMPASS-D tokamak installed in IPP Prague will benefit from these unique features of COMPASS-D and consist of two main scientific projects, both highly relevant to ITER-Edge plasma physics (H-mode studies) and Wave-plasma interaction studies.The COMPASS-D tokamak will offer an important research potential as a small, flexible and low-cost facility with ITER-relevant geometry.  相似文献

在HT-6B托卡马克低杂波驱动电流(LHCD)的同时,等离子体的粒子及能量约束也随之发生改善。我们从空间多道Hα线的测量推算出LHCD可将等离子体粒子约束时间提高1-5倍,介绍了我们的分析过程,HT-6B上的Hα线测量还表明粒子约束的改善程度与低杂波(LHW)的注入功率无明显依赖关系;改善粒子约束的发生与超热电子的产生相对应,通过观察边界层OII两条不同激发电位的谱线强度比的变化,发现等离子体在约束改善的同时,具有边界电子温度梯度增大的类H模现象。 关键词:  相似文献

An inductively coupled plasma machine has been modified to be able to apply working powers in the order of 1 kW, thus switching to the real inductive H-mode. The plasma is generated by applying a 13.56 MHz radio-frequency to a λ/4 antenna outside the plasma chamber in low pressure conditions. The working gas is argon at pressure in the range from 10 to 100 Pa. With this high power source we have been able to perform plasma etching on a poly(vinyl-chloride) (PVC) film. In particular the effect of the plasma is the selective removal of hydrogen and chlorine from the sample surface. The action of the high power plasma on the sample has been proved to be much more effective than that of the low power one. Results similar to those obtained with the low power machine at about 300 W for 120 min, have been obtained with the high power source at about 600 W for 30 min. The superficial generation of a conductive layer of double C=C bonds was obtained. The samples have been investigated by means of ATR spectroscopy, FIB/SEM microscopy and micro-electrical measurements, which revealed the change in charge conductivity.  相似文献

Two-dimensional structures of the electrostatic potential, density, and flow velocity near the edge of a tokamak plasma are investigated. The model includes the nonlinearity in bulk-ion viscosity and turbulence-driven shear viscosity. For the case with the strong radial electric field (H mode), a two-dimensional structure in a transport barrier is obtained, giving a poloidal shock with a solitary radial electric field profile. The inward particle pinch is induced from this poloidal asymmetric electric field, and increases as the radial electric field becomes stronger. The abrupt increase of this inward ion and electron flux at the onset of L- to H-mode transition explains the rapid establishment of the density pedestal, which is responsible for the observed spontaneous self-reorganization into an improved confinement regime.  相似文献

在给定等离子体密度分布下,从电子、离子的能量方程出发,根据不同运行模式下等离子体的热传导率不同,分别求出了中心负剪切模式,常规剪切H模式和L模式下的等离子体温度分布,然后通过求解波迹方程与相对论情况下的Fokker-Planck方程,分别计算了这些模式下的电子回旋波电流驱动和波功率沉积.得到在中心负剪切下,驱动电流最大,驱动效率最高,功率沉积和电流分布区间跨度大;在常规剪切H模式下,驱动电流较小,分布区间跨度比较窄,驱动效率相对较低;在常规剪切L模式,驱动电流效率最低,分布区间跨度也非常集中. 关键词: 托卡马克 电子回旋波电流驱动 中心负剪切 常规剪切  相似文献
