Generalized Yang-Mills theory has a covariant derivative, which contains both vector and scalar gauge bosons. Based on this theory, we construct a strong interaction model by using the group U(4). By using this U(4) generalized Yang-Mills model, we also obtain a gauge potential solution, which can be used to explain the asymptotic behavior and color confinement.  相似文献

Based on a generalized Yang-Mills framework, gravitational and strong interactions can be unified in analogy with the unification in the electroweak theory. By gauging T (4) × [SU (3)] color in flat space-time, we have a unified model of chromo-gravity with a new tensor gauge field, which couples universally to all gluons, quarks and anti-quarks. The space-time translational gauge symmetry assures that all wave equations of quarks and gluons reduce to a Hamilton-Jacobi equation with the same ’effective Riemann metric tensors’ in the geometric-optics (or classical) limit. The emergence of ef f ective metric tensors in the classical limit is essential for the unified model to agree with experiments. The unified model suggests that all gravitational, strong and electroweak interactions appear to be dictated by gauge symmetries in the generalized Yang-Mills framework.  相似文献

The SO(3) gauge extension of SM, which is proposed to present a successful explanation for the observed small masses of neutrino and the nearly tri-bimaximal neutrino mixing, predicted the vector-like SO(3) triplet Majorana neutrinos and SUL(2) double Higgs bosons. In this work we calculate branching ratios of the charged lepton flavor violating decays lIlJV (V = γ, Z) induced by these Majorana neutrinos and Higgs bosons. We find that under the model parameters constrained by experimental bounds on the decays Z →lIlJ, the branching ratio of decays lI→lJγ can be up to 10^-10, which may be accessible at the future experiments.  相似文献

By using C-mapping topological current theory and gauge potential decomposition, we discuss the self-dual equation and its solution in the SU(N) Dunne-Jackiw-Pi-Trugenberger model and obtain a new concrete self-dual equation with a δ function. For the SU(3) case, we obtain a new self-duality solution and find the relationship between the soliton solution and topological number which is determined by the Hopf index and Brouwer degree of C-mapping. In our solution, the flux of this soliton is naturally quantized.  相似文献

Generation of neutrino mass in SO(4) model is proposed here. The algebraic structure of SO (4) is same as to that ofSU(2)L x SU(2)R. It is shown that the spontaneous symmetry breaking results three massive as well as three massless gauge bosons. The standard model theory according to which there exist three massive gauge bosons and a massless one is emerged from this model. In the framework ofSU(2)L x SU(2)R a small Dirac neutrino mass is derived. It is also shown that such mass term may vanish with a special choice. The Majorana mass term is not considered here and thus in this model the neutrino mass does not follow seesaw structure.  相似文献

By decomposing SU(2) gauge potential in four-dimensional Euclidean SU(2) Yang-Mills theory in a new way, we find that the instanton number related to the isospin defects of a doublet order parameter can be topologically quantized by the Hopf index and Brouwer degree. It is also shown that the instanton number is just the sum of the topological charges of the isospin defects in the non-trivial sector of Yang-Mills theory.  相似文献

In this paper a gauge theory is proposed for the two-band model of Chern insulators.Based on the so-calle't Hooft monopole model,a U(1)Maxwell electromagnetic sub-field is constructed from an SU(2)gauge field, from which arise two types of topological defects, monopoles and e2 merons. We focus on the topological number in the Hall conductance σxy=e2/hC,where C is the Chern number. It is discovered that in the monopole case C is indeterminate, while in the meron case C takes different values, due to a varying on-site energy m.As a typical example,we apply this method to the square lattice and compute the winding numbers(topological charges)of the defects;the C-evaluations we obtain reproduce the results of the usual literature.Furthermore, based on the gauge theory we propose a new model to obtain the high Chern numbers|C|=2,4.  相似文献

Starting from the generalized Yang-Mills model which contains, besides the vector part Vμ, also a scalar part S and a pseudoscalar part P. It is shown, in terms of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) mechanism, that CP violation can be realized dynamically. The combination of the generalized Yang-Mills model and the NJL mechanism provides a new way to explain CP violation.  相似文献

In this paper we apply the assumption of our recent work in noncommutative scalar models to the noncommutative U(1) gauge theories. This assumption is that the noneommutative effects start to be visible continuously from a scale ANC and that below this scale the theory is a commutative one. Based on this assumption and using background field method and loop calculations, an effective action is derived for noncommutative U(1) gauge theory. It will be shown that the corresponding low energy effective theory is asymptotically free and that under this condition the noncommutative quadratic IR divergences will not appear. The effective theory contains higher dimensional terms, which become more important at high energies. These terms predict an elastic photon-photon scattering due to the noncommutativity of space. The coefficients of these higher dimensional terms also satisfy a positivity constraint indicating that in this theory the related diseases of superluminal signal propagating and bad analytic properties of S-matrix do not exist. In the last section, we will apply our method to the noncommutative extra dimension theories.  相似文献

A new unified electroweak model is proposed in this paper,In this unified electroweak model,Higgs echanism is not used.So no Higgs particle exists in the model. In order to keep the masses of intermediate gauge bosons non-zero,two sets of gauge fields will be introduced. In order to introduce symmetry breaking and to help to introduce the masses of all fileds.a vacuum potential is needed.Except for those terms concerning Higgs particle, the fundamental dynamical properties of this model are similar to those of the standard model. And in a proper limit, this model with approximately return to the standard model. The purpose of this paper is not to say that the Higgs particle does not exist in Nature,it is only to prove that, without a Higgs particle,we can also set up a unified electroweak model which is consistent with present experiments.  相似文献

Recently, Liu et al. proposed a so-called extended Anderson-Higgs mechanism by studying the (2+1)-dimensional Ginzburg-Landau model in the pseudogap region of high-Tc superconductor (Phys. Rev. B 65 (2002) 132513). We revisit this problem based on a general decomposition of the U(1) gauge potential. Using the bulk superconductor and superconduct ring as examples, we obtain a simpler expression for the extended Anderson-Higgs mechanism. In the former case we indicate that all the phase field can always be "eaten up" by the pure gauge term A||. In the latter case, we decompose the phase field as θ(x) = θ1(x) + θ2(x) and find that only the phase field θ1 connected with Anderson-Higgs mechanism can be canceled by the pure-gauge term A||. On the other hand, the remaining phase field θ2 connected with A⊥ is multi-valued, which can induce new physical effects such as A-B effect and flux quantization. It is natural to conclude that there is no longitudinal phase fluctuation effect in high-temperature superconductors since longitudinal phase θ1 is connected with pure-gauge term.  相似文献

In this paper, spinor and vector decompositions of SU(2) gauge potential are presented and their equivalence is constructed using a simply proposal. We also obtain the action of Faddeev nonlinear 0(3) sigma model from the SU(2) mass/ve gauge field theory, which is proposed according to the gauge invariant principle. At last, the knot structure in SU(2) Chern-Simons filed theory is discussed in terms of the Φ-mapping topological current theory, The topological charge of the knot is characterized by the Hopf indices and the Brouwer degrees of Φ-mapping.  相似文献

From the inspection of noncommutative quantum mechanics, we obtain an approximate equivalent relation for the energy dependence of the Planck constant in the noncommutative space, which means a minimal length of the space. We find that this relation is reasonable and it can inherit the main properties of the noncommutative space. Based on this relation, we derive the modified Klein-Gordon equation and Dirac equation. We investigate the scalar field and φ4 model and then quantum electrodynamics in our theory, and derive the corresponding Feynman rules. These results may be considered as reasonable approximations to those of noncommutative quantum field theory. Our theory also shows a connection between the space with a minimal length and the noncommutative space.  相似文献

The dynamical breaking of a generalized Yang-Mills theory is discussed. It is shown, in terms of the Nambu Jona-Lasinio mechanism, that the gauge symmetry breaking can be realized dynamically in the generalized Yang-Mills theory. The combination of the generalized Yang-Mills theory and the NJL mechanism provides a way to overcome the difficulties related to the Higgs field and the Higgs mechanism in the usual spontaneous symmetry breaking theory.  相似文献

In this paper, starting with the well known U(1) Chern-Simons Lagrangian and the covariant derivative of a complex scalar matter field, we give a detailed discussion of some topological properties of anyons. We show that the "basic" charge carried by anyons has an inner structure and can be decomposed in terms of the Chern-Simons coupling and the gauge coupling constants of the theory. Also some incorrect results obtained in the literature are revised.  相似文献

Based on gauge principle, a new model on quantum gravity is proposed in the frame work of quantum gauge theory of gravity. The model has local gravitational gauge symmetry, and the field equation of the gravitational gauge field is just the famous Einstein‘s field equation. Because of this reason, this model is called quantum gauge general relativity, which is the consistent unification of quantum theory and general relativity. The model proposed in this paper is a perturbatively renormalizable quantum gravity, which is one of the most important advantage of the quantum gauge general relativity proposed in this paper. Another important advantage of the quantum gauge general relativity is that it can explain both classical tests of gravity and quantum effects of gravitational interactions, such as gravitational phase effects found in COW experiments and gravitational shielding effects found in Podkletnov experiments.  相似文献

Using torsion two-form we present a new Lorentz gauge invariant U (1) topological field theory in Riemann-Cartan space-time manifold U4. By virtue of the decomposition theory of U(1) gauge potential and the φ-mapping topological current theory, it is proven that the U(1) complex scalar field φ(x) can be looked upon as the order parameter field in our Universe, and a set of zero points of φ(x) create the cosmic strings as the space-time defects in the early Universe. In the standard cosmology, this complex scalar order parameter field possesses negative pressure, provides an accelerating expansion of Universe, and be able to explain the inflation in the early Universe. Therefore this complex scalar field is not only the order parameter field created the cosmic strings in the early universe, but also reasonably behaves as the quintessence, the dark energy.  相似文献
