In this paper, we study the category of corepresentations of a monoidal comonad. We show that it is a semisimple category if and only if the monoidal comonad is a cosemisipmle (coseparable) comonad, and it is a braided category if and only if the monoidal comonad admit a cobraided structure. At last, as an application, the braided structure and the semisimplicity of the Hom-comodule category of a monoidal Hom-bialgebra are discussed.  相似文献

We develop a notion of an n-fold monoidal category and show that it corresponds in a precise way to the notion of an n-fold loop space. Specifically, the group completion of the nerve of such a category is an n-fold loop space, and free n-fold monoidal categories give rise to a finite simplicial operad of the same homotopy type as the classical little cubes operad used to parametrize the higher H-space structure of an n-fold loop space. We also show directly that this operad has the same homotopy type as the n-th Smith filtration of the Barratt-Eccles operad and the n-th filtration of Berger's complete graph operad. Moreover, this operad contains an equivalent preoperad which gives rise to Milgram's small model for when n=2 and is very closely related to Milgram's model of for n>2.  相似文献

We consider the notion of an adjunction in a monoidal category. Whereas most of the theory of adjunctions in 2-categories carries over to this case, there are also some new phenomena specific to the monoidal case. The applications include some formal aspects in the Spanier-Whitehead duality of spectra as well as bilinear forms on modules.  相似文献

The purpose of this expository note is to describe duality and trace in a symmetric monoidal category, along with important properties (including naturality and functoriality), and to give as many examples as possible. Among other things, this note is intended as background for the generalizations to the context of bicategories and indexed monoidal categories.  相似文献

We define Hopf monads on an arbitrary monoidal category, extending the definition given in Bruguières and Virelizier (2007) [5] for monoidal categories with duals. A Hopf monad is a bimonad (or opmonoidal monad) whose fusion operators are invertible. This definition can be formulated in terms of Hopf adjunctions, which are comonoidal adjunctions with an invertibility condition. On a monoidal category with internal Homs, a Hopf monad is a bimonad admitting a left and a right antipode.Hopf monads generalize Hopf algebras to the non-braided setting. They also generalize Hopf algebroids (which are linear Hopf monads on a category of bimodules admitting a right adjoint). We show that any finite tensor category is the category of finite-dimensional modules over a Hopf algebroid.Any Hopf algebra in the center of a monoidal category C gives rise to a Hopf monad on C. The Hopf monads so obtained are exactly the augmented Hopf monads. More generally if a Hopf monad T is a retract of a Hopf monad P, then P is a cross product of T by a Hopf algebra of the center of the category of T-modules (generalizing the Radford–Majid bosonization of Hopf algebras). We show that the comonoidal comonad of a Hopf adjunction is canonically represented by a cocommutative central coalgebra. As a corollary, we obtain an extension of Sweedler?s Hopf module decomposition theorem to Hopf monads (in fact to the weaker notion of pre-Hopf monad).  相似文献

If C is a stable model category with a monoidal product then the set of homotopy classes of self-maps of the unit forms a commutative ring, [S,S]C. An idempotent e of this ring will split the homotopy category: [X,Y]Ce[X,Y]C⊕(1−e)[X,Y]C. We prove that provided the localised model structures exist, this splitting of the homotopy category comes from a splitting of the model category, that is, C is Quillen equivalent to LeSC×L(1−e)SC and [X,Y]LeSCe[X,Y]C. This Quillen equivalence is strong monoidal and is symmetric when the monoidal product of C is.  相似文献

Interpreting entwining structures as special instances of J. Beck's distributive law, the concept of entwining module can be generalized for the setting of arbitrary monoidal category. In this paper, we use the distributive law formalism to extend in this setting basic properties of entwining modules.  相似文献

Let H be a Hopf algebra in a rigid symmetric monoidal category C then the evaluation map τis a convolution-invertible skew pairing. In the previous paper, we constructed a Hopf algebra D(H)=H ? r H ?cop in C. In this paper, we first show that D(H) is a quasitriangular Hopf algebra in C. Next, let H be an ordinary triangular finite-dimensional Hopf algebra. Then one can form quasitriangular Hopf algebras B(H,H) and B(H,D(H)) (in a rigid braided monoidal category) by Majid’s method associated to the ordinary Hopf algebra maps HH and iH HD(H), where D(H) is the Drin-fePd quantum double. We show that D (B(H,H)) and B(H,D(H)) are isomorphic Hopf algebras in the braided monoidal category.  相似文献

LetC be a neutral Tannakian category over a fieldk. By a theorem of Saavedra Rivano there exists a commutative Hopf algebraA overk such thatC is equivalent to the category of finite dimensional rightA-comodules. We review Saavedra Rivano’s construction of the bialgebraA and show thatA has still an antipode if the symmetry condition on the monoidal structure ofC is removed. This paper introduces the concept of ‘symmetric centres’ of braided monoidal categories. LetH be a Hopf algebra with bijective antipode over a fieldk. We address the symmetric centre of the Yetter-Drinfel’d module category: and show that a left Yetter-Drinfel’d moduleM belongs to the symmetric centre of and only ifM is trivial. We also study the symmetric centres of categories of representations of quasitriangular Hopf algebras and give a sufficient and necessary condition for the braid of, Hℳ to induce the braid of , or equivalently, the braid of , whereA is a quantum commutativeH-module algebra  相似文献

We study the algebras that are defined by identities in the symmetric monoidal categories; in particular, the Lie algebras. Some examples of these algebras appear in studying the knot invariants and the Rozansky-Witten invariants. The main result is the proof of the Westbury conjecture for a K3-surface: there exists a homomorphism from a universal simple Vogel algebra into a Lie algebra that describes the Rozansky-Witten invariants of a K3-surface. We construct a language that is necessary for discussing and solving this problem, and we formulate nine new problems.  相似文献

We prove that the category G Set of all G-coalgebras in s-equivalent to the category Alg(1) of all unary algebras iff the functional part G of G is not a product of the identity functor I and a constant functor. Received June 11, 1998; accepted in final form January 16, 1999.  相似文献
