We consider the scalar homogeneous equation $S(x) = \int_0^\infty {K(x - t)S(t)dt,{\text{ }}x \in \mathbb{R}^ + \equiv (0,\infty ),}$ with symmetric kernel $K:K( - x) = K(x),{\text{ }}x \in \mathbb{R}_1$ satisfying the conditions $0 \leqslant K \in L_1 (\mathbb{R}^ + ) \cap C^{\left( 2 \right)} (\mathbb{R}^ + )$ , $\int_0^\infty {K(t)dt > \frac{1}{2}} $ , $K' \leqslant 0{\text{ }}and 0 \leqslant K'' \downarrow {\text{ }}on \mathbb{R}^ + $ . We prove the existence of a real solution S of the equation given above with asymptotic behavior $S(x) = O(x){\text{ as }}x \to + \infty $ .  相似文献

The algebraic independence of certain transcendental continued fractions   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
In the present note the algebraic independence of certain continued fractions is proved. Especially, we prove that the Böhmer-Mahler's series \(\sum\limits_{K = 1}^\infty {\left[ {\omega _v k} \right]} {\text{ }}g_\mu ^{ - k} \left( {1 \leqslant \mu \leqslant s,1 \leqslant v \leqslant t} \right)\) are algebraically independent, where \(\mathop \omega \nolimits_1 {\text{ , }}...{\text{ , }}\mathop \omega \nolimits_{\text{t}} \) , ..., \(\mathop g\nolimits_1 {\text{ , }}...{\text{ , }}\mathop g\nolimits_s \) are some irrational numbers andg 1, ...,g s are distinct positive integers.  相似文献

We consider the integral convolution equation on the half-line or on a finite interval with kernel $$K(x - t) = \int_a^b {e^{ - \left| {x - t} \right|s} d\sigma (s)} $$ with an alternating measure under the conditions $$K(x) > 0, \int_a^b {\frac{1}{s}\left| {d\sigma (s)} \right| < + \infty } , \int_{ - \infty }^\infty {K(x)dx = 2} \int_a^b {\frac{1}{s}d\sigma (s) \leqslant 1} .$$ The solution of the nonlinear Ambartsumyan equation $$\varphi (s) = 1 + \varphi (s) \int_a^b {\frac{{\varphi (p)}}{{s + p}}d\sigma (p)} ,$$ is constructed; it can be effectively used for solving the original convolution equation.  相似文献

We construct an example of a function from the class $H_1^{\omega ^ * } $ , where $\omega ^ * (t) = \sqrt {\log \log (t^{ - 1} )/\log (t^{ - 1} )} $ , $0 < t \leqslant t_0 $ , whose trigonometric Fourier series is divergent almost everywhere. We obtain sharp integrability conditions for the majorants of the partial sums of trigonometric Fourier series in terms of whether the functions in question belong to the classes $H_1^\omega $ .  相似文献

Let $h(t,x): = p.v. \sum\limits_{n \in Z\backslash \left| 0 \right|} {\frac{{e^{\pi i(tn^2 + 2xn)} }}{{2\pi in}}} = \mathop {\lim }\limits_{N \to \infty } \sum\limits_{0< \left| n \right| \leqslant N} {\frac{{e^{\pi i(tn^2 + 2xn)} }}{{2\pi in}}} $ ( $(i = \sqrt { - 1;} t,x$ -real variables). It is proved that in the rectangle $D: = \left\{ {(t,x):0< t< 1,\left| x \right| \leqslant \frac{1}{2}} \right\}$ , the function h satisfies the followingfunctional inequality: $\left| {h(t,x)} \right| \leqslant \sqrt t \left| {h\left( {\frac{1}{t},\frac{x}{t}} \right)} \right| + c,$ where c is an absolute positive constant. Iterations of this relation provide another, more elementary, proof of the known global boundedness result $\left\| {h; L^\infty (E^2 )} \right\| : = ess sup \left| {h(t,x)} \right|< \infty .$ The above functional inequality is derived from a general duality relation, of theta-function type, for solutions of the Cauchy initial value problem for Schrödinger equation of a free particle. Variation and complexity of solutions of Schrödinger equation are discussed.  相似文献

We establish a relation between the lower bound for the maximum of the modulus of $\zeta (1/2 + iT + s)$ in the disk $|s| \leqslant H$ and the lower bound for the maximum of the modulus of $\zeta (1/2 + iT + it)$ on the closed interval $|t| \leqslant H$ for $0 < H(T) \leqslant {1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 2}} \right. \kern-0em} 2}$ . We prove a theorem on the lower bound for the maximum of the modulus of $0 < H(T) \leqslant {1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 2}} \right. \kern-0em} 2}$ on the closed interval $|t| \leqslant H$ for $40 \leqslant H(T) \leqslant \log \log T$ .  相似文献

We consider the randomly weighted sums $ \sum\nolimits_{k = 1}^n {{\theta_k}{X_k},n \geqslant 1} $ , where $ \left\{ {{X_k},1 \leqslant k \leqslant n} \right\} $ are n real-valued random variables with subexponential distributions, and $ \left\{ {{\theta_k},1 \leqslant k \leqslant n} \right\} $ are other n random variables independent of $ \left\{ {{X_k},1 \leqslant k \leqslant n} \right\} $ and satisfying $ a \leqslant \theta \leqslant b $ for some $ 0 < a \leqslant b < \infty $ and all $ 1 \leqslant k \leqslant n $ . For $ \left\{ {{X_k},1 \leqslant k \leqslant n} \right\} $ satisfying some dependent structures, we prove that $$ {\text{P}}\left( {\mathop {{\max }}\limits_{1 \leqslant m \leqslant n} \sum\limits_{k = 1}^m {{\theta_k}{X_k} > x} } \right)\sim {\text{P}}\left( {\sum\limits_{k = 1}^m {{\theta_k}{X_k} > x} } \right)\sim {\text{P}}\left( {\mathop {{\max }}\limits_{1 \leqslant k \leqslant n} {\theta_k}{X_k} > x} \right)\sim \sum\limits_{k = 1}^m {{\text{P}}\left( {{\theta_k}{X_k} > x} \right)} $$ as x??????.  相似文献

Let \(\mathfrak{M}\) be the set of zeros of the polynomial \(P(z) = \sum\nolimits_{k = 0}^m {A_k S_k (z)} \) , where Sk(z) are functions defined in some region B and the coefficients Ak are arbitrary numbers from the ring $$0 \leqslant \tau _k \leqslant |A_k - a_k | \leqslant R_{_k }< \infty $$ . This article mainly consists of two parts. In the first part the initial value problem (IVP) of the semilinear heat equation $$\begin{gathered} \partial _t u - \Delta u = \left| u \right|^{k - 1} u, on \mathbb{R}^n x(0,\infty ), k \geqslant 2 \hfill \\ u(x,0) = u_0 (x), x \in \mathbb{R}^n \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ with initial data in $\dot L_{r,p} $ is studied. We prove the well-posedness when $$1< p< \infty , \frac{2}{{k(k - 1)}}< \frac{n}{p} \leqslant \frac{2}{{k - 1}}, and r =< \frac{n}{p} - \frac{2}{{k - 1}}( \leqslant 0)$$ and construct non-unique solutions for $$1< p< \frac{{n(k - 1)}}{2}< k + 1, and r< \frac{n}{p} - \frac{2}{{k - 1}}.$$ In the second part the well-posedness of the avove IVP for k=2 with μ0?H s (? n ) is proved if $$ - 1< s, for n = 1, \frac{n}{2} - 2< s, for n \geqslant 2.$$ and this result is then extended for more general nonlinear terms and initial data. By taking special values of r, p, s, and u0, these well-posedness results reduce to some of those previously obtained by other authors [4, 14].  相似文献

In this paper one considers methods which enable one to determine the distribution of certain functionals of a Brownian motion process. Among such functionals we have: the positive continuous additive functional of a Brownian motion, defined by the formula $$A\left( t \right) = \int\limits_{ - \infty }^\infty {\hat t\left( {t, y} \right)dF\left( y \right),} $$ where \(\hat t\left( {t, y} \right)\) is the Brownian local time process while F(y) is a monotonically increasing right continuous function; the functional $$B\left( t \right) = \mathop {\mathop \smallint \limits_{ - \infty } }\nolimits^\infty f\left( {y,\hat t\left( {t, y} \right)} \right)dy,$$ where f(y, x) is a continuous function; and the functional $$C\left( t \right) = \mathop {\mathop \smallint \limits_0 }\nolimits^t f\left( {w\left( s \right),\hat t\left( {sr} \right)} \right)ds$$ As an application of these methods one considers some concrete functionals such that \(\hat t^{ - 1} \left( z \right) = \min \left\{ {s:\hat t\left( {s, o} \right) = z} \right\},\mathop {\mathop \smallint \limits_{ - \infty } }\nolimits^\infty \hat t^2 \left( {t, y} \right)dy,\mathop {\sup }\limits_{y \in R^1 } \hat t\left( {T, y} \right)\) , where T is an exponential random time, independent of \(\hat t\left( {t, y} \right)\) .  相似文献

In this paper, we study the asymptotics and fast computation of the one-sided oscillatory Hilbert transforms of the form $$\begin{aligned} H^{+}(f(t)e^{i\omega t})(x)=-\!\!\!\!\!\!\int \nolimits _{\!\!\!0}^{\infty }e^{i\omega t}\frac{f(t)}{t-x}\,dt,\quad \omega >0,\quad x\ge 0, \end{aligned}$$ where the bar indicates the Cauchy principal value and $f$ is a real-valued function with analytic continuation in the first quadrant, except possibly a branch point of algebraic type at the origin. When $x=0$ , the integral is interpreted as a Hadamard finite-part integral, provided it is divergent. Asymptotic expansions in inverse powers of $\omega $ are derived for each fixed $x\ge 0$ , which clarify the large $\omega $ behavior of this transform. We then present efficient and affordable approaches for numerical evaluation of such oscillatory transforms. Depending on the position of $x$ , we classify our discussion into three regimes, namely, $x=\mathcal O (1)$ or $x\gg 1$ , $0<x\ll 1$ and $x=0$ . Numerical experiments show that the convergence of the proposed methods greatly improve when the frequency $\omega $ increases. Some extensions to oscillatory Hilbert transforms with Bessel oscillators are briefly discussed as well.  相似文献

Let \(A = -\mathrm{div} \,a(\cdot ) \nabla \) be a second order divergence form elliptic operator on \({\mathbb R}^n\) with bounded measurable real-valued coefficients and let \(W\) be a cylindrical Brownian motion in a Hilbert space \(H\) . Our main result implies that the stochastic convolution process $$\begin{aligned} u(t) = \int _0^t e^{-(t-s)A}g(s)\,dW(s), \quad t\geqslant 0, \end{aligned}$$ satisfies, for all \(1\leqslant p<\infty \) , a conical maximal \(L^p\) -regularity estimate $$\begin{aligned} {\mathbb E}\Vert \nabla u \Vert _{ T_2^{p,2}({\mathbb R}_+\times {\mathbb R}^n)}^p \leqslant C_p^p {\mathbb E}\Vert g \Vert _{ T_2^{p,2}({\mathbb R}_+\times {\mathbb R}^n;H)}^p. \end{aligned}$$ Here, \(T_2^{p,2}({\mathbb R}_+\times {\mathbb R}^n)\) and \(T_2^{p,2}({\mathbb R}_+\times {\mathbb R}^n;H)\) are the parabolic tent spaces of real-valued and \(H\) -valued functions, respectively. This contrasts with Krylov’s maximal \(L^p\) -regularity estimate $$\begin{aligned} {\mathbb E}\Vert \nabla u \Vert _{L^p({\mathbb R}_+;L^2({\mathbb R}^n;{\mathbb R}^n))}^p \leqslant C^p {\mathbb E}\Vert g \Vert _{L^p({\mathbb R}_+;L^2({\mathbb R}^n;H))}^p \end{aligned}$$ which is known to hold only for \(2\leqslant p<\infty \) , even when \(A = -\Delta \) and \(H = {\mathbb R}\) . The proof is based on an \(L^2\) -estimate and extrapolation arguments which use the fact that \(A\) satisfies suitable off-diagonal bounds. Our results are applied to obtain conical stochastic maximal \(L^p\) -regularity for a class of nonlinear SPDEs with rough initial data.  相似文献

For anyx ∈ r put $$c(x) = \overline {\mathop {\lim }\limits_{t \to \infty } } \mathop {\min }\limits_{(p,q\mathop {) \in Z}\limits_{q \leqslant t} \times N} t\left| {qx - p} \right|.$$ . Let [x0; x1,..., xn, ...] be an expansion of x into a continued fraction and let \(M = \{ x \in J,\overline {\mathop {\lim }\limits_{n \to \infty } } x_n< \infty \}\) .ForxM put D(x)=c(x)/(1?c(x)). The structure of the set \(\mathfrak{D} = \{ D(x),x \in M\}\) is studied. It is shown that $$\mathfrak{D} \cap (3 + \sqrt 3 ,(5 + 3\sqrt 3 )/2) = \{ D(x^{(n,3} )\} _{n = 0}^\infty \nearrow (5 + 3\sqrt 3 )/2,$$ where \(x^{(n,3)} = [\overline {3;(1,2)_n ,1} ].\) This yields for \(\mu = \inf \{ z,\mathfrak{D} \supset (z, + \infty )\}\) (“origin of the ray”) the following lower bound: μ?(5+3√3)/2=5.0n>(5 + 3/3)/2=5.098.... Suppose a∈n. Put \(M(a) = \{ x \in M,\overline {\mathop {\lim }\limits_{n \to \infty } } x_n = a\}\) , \(\mathfrak{D}(a) = \{ D(x),x \in M(a)\}\) . The smallest limit point of \(\mathfrak{D}(a)(a \geqslant 2)\) is found. The structure of (a) is studied completely up to the smallest limit point and elucidated to the right of it.  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal L(r) = \sum_{n=0}^\infty a_nr^{\lambda_n}}$ be a lacunary series converging for 0 <  r < 1, with coefficients in a quasinormed space. It is proved that $$\int_0^1 F(1-r,\|\mathcal L(r)\|)(1-r)^{-1}\,{\rm d}r < \infty $$ if and only if $$ \sum_{n=0}^\infty F(1/\lambda_n,\|a_n\|) < \infty, $$ where F is a “normal function” of two variables. In the case when p ≥ 1 and F(x, y) =  x y p , this reduces to a theorem of Gurariy and Matsaev. As an application we prove that if ${f(r\zeta) = \sum_{n=0}^\infty r^{\lambda_n}f_{\lambda_n}(\zeta)}$ is a function harmonic in the unit ball of ${\mathbb R^N,}$ then $$\int_0^1M_p^q(r,f)(1-r)^{q\alpha-1} \,{\rm d}r <\infty\quad (p,\,q,\,\alpha >0 ) $$ if and only if $$\sum_{n=0}^\infty \|f_{\lambda_n} \|^q_{L^p(\partial B_N)}(1/\lambda_n)^{q\alpha} <\infty. $$   相似文献

Let $(Q(k):k\ge 0)$ be an $M/M/1$ queue with traffic intensity $\rho \in (0,1).$ Consider the quantity $$\begin{aligned} S_{n}(p)=\frac{1}{n}\sum _{j=1}^{n}Q\left( j\right) ^{p} \end{aligned}$$ for any $p>0.$ The ergodic theorem yields that $S_{n}(p) \rightarrow \mu (p) :=E[Q(\infty )^{p}]$ , where $Q(\infty )$ is geometrically distributed with mean $\rho /(1-\rho ).$ It is known that one can explicitly characterize $I(\varepsilon )>0$ such that $$\begin{aligned} \lim \limits _{n\rightarrow \infty }\frac{1}{n}\log P\big (S_{n}(p)<\mu \left( p\right) -\varepsilon \big ) =-I\left( \varepsilon \right) ,\quad \varepsilon >0. \end{aligned}$$ In this paper, we show that the approximation of the right tail asymptotics requires a different logarithm scaling, giving $$\begin{aligned} \lim \limits _{n\rightarrow \infty }\frac{1}{n^{1/(1+p)}}\log P\big (S_{n} (p)>\mu \big (p\big )+\varepsilon \big )=-C\big (p\big ) \varepsilon ^{1/(1+p)}, \end{aligned}$$ where $C(p)>0$ is obtained as the solution of a variational problem. We discuss why this phenomenon—Weibullian right tail asymptotics rather than exponential asymptotics—can be expected to occur in more general queueing systems.  相似文献
