The present paper deals with the mixed boundary value problem for elliptic equations with degenerate rank 0. We first give the formulation of the problem and estimates of solutions of the problem, and then prove the existence of solutions of the above problem for elliptic equations by the above estimates and the method of parameter extension. We use the complex method, namely first discuss the corresponding problem for degenerate elliptic complex equations of first order, afterwards discuss the above problem for degenerate elliptic equations of second order.  相似文献

The present article deals with some boundary value problems for nonlinear elliptic equations with degenerate rank 0 including the oblique derivative problem.Firstly the formulation and estimates of solutions of the oblique derivative problem are given, and then by the above estimates and the method of parameter extension, the existence of solutions of the above problem is proved. In this article, the complex analytic method is used, namely the corresponding problem for degenerate elliptic complex equations of first order is firstly discussed, afterwards the above problem for the degenerate elliptic equations of second order is solved.  相似文献

The removability of singularities of solutions for the Dirichlet problem for degenerate nonlinear elliptic equations on the boundary of a domain is studied. A method based on a priori energetic estimates of solutions to elliptic boundary value problems is used. The growth in the vicinity of a boundary point (finite or at infinity) for generalized solutions is studied.  相似文献

The boundary value problems for differential-operator equations with variable coefficients, degenerated on all boundary are studied. Several conditions for the separability, fredholmness and resolvent estimates in L p -spaces are given. In applications degenerate Cauchy problem for parabolic equation, boundary value problems for degenerate partial differential equations and systems of degenerate elliptic equations on cylindrical domain are studied.  相似文献

The present paper deals with the mixed boundary value problem for a nonlinear elliptic equation with degenerate rank 0. We first give the formulation of the problem and estimates of solutions of the problem, and then prove the uniqueness and existence of solutions of the above problem for the nonlinear elliptic equation by the extremum principle and the method of parameter extension. The complex method is used to discuss the corresponding problem for degenerate elliptic complex equation of first order and then that of second order.  相似文献

We examine the bifurcations to positive and sign-changing solutions of degenerate elliptic equations. In the problems we study, which do not represent Fredholm operators, we show that there is a critical parameter value at which an infinity of bifurcations occur from the trivial solution. Moreover, a bifurcation occurs at each point in some unbounded interval in parameter space. We apply our results to non-monotone eigenvalue problems, degenerate semi-linear elliptic equations, boundary value differential-algebraic equations and fully non-linear elliptic equations.

We adapt to degenerate m-Hessian evolution equations the notion of m-approximate solutions introduced by N. Trudinger for m-Hessian elliptic equations, and we present close to necessary and sufficient conditions guaranteeing the existence and uniqueness of such solutions for the first initial boundary value problem. In this paper we consider two boundary-value problems in a band for higher-order degenerate elliptic equations. These equations degenerate on one boundary of the band to a third-order equation with respect to one variable. We study problems in weight spaces similar to Sobolev ones whose norms are constructed with the help of a certain integral transform. We obtain a priori estimates in these weight spaces for solutions to boundary-value problems in the band for higher-order elliptic equations that degenerate on one boundary of the band to a third-order equation with respect to one variable.  相似文献

In this paper we study boundary value problems for semilinear equations involving strongly degenerate elliptic differential operators. Via a Pohozaev??s type identity we show that if the nonlinear term grows faster than some power function then the boundary value problem has no nontrivial solution. Otherwise when the nonlinear term grows slower than the same power function, by establishing embedding theorems for weighted Sobolev spaces associated with the strongly degenerate elliptic equations, then applying the theory of critical values in Banach spaces, we prove that the problem has a nontrivial solution, or even infinite number of solutions provided that the nonlinear term is an odd function.  相似文献

Abstract We prove existence and uniqueness of a viscosity solution of the Dirichlet problem related to the prescribed Levi mean curvature equation, under suitable assumptions on the boundary data and on the Levi curvature of the domain. We also show that such a solution is Lipschitz continuous by proving that it is the uniform limit of a sequence of classical solutions of elliptic problems and by building Lipschitz continuous barriers. In this paper, we consider nonlocal elliptic problems in dihedral and plane angles. Such problems arise in the study of nonlocal problems in bounded domains for the case in which the support of nonlocal terms intersects the boundary. We study the Fredholm and unique solvability of this problem in the corresponding weighted spaces. Results are obtained by means of a priori estimates of the solutions and of Green's formula for nonlocal elliptic problems.  相似文献

Error estimates for DGFE solutions are well investigated if one assumes that the exact solution is sufficiently regular. In this article, we consider a Dirichlet and a mixed boundary value problem for a linear elliptic equation in a polygon. It is well known that the first derivatives of the solutions develop singularities near reentrant corner points or points where the boundary conditions change. On the basis of the regularity results formulated in Sobolev–Slobodetskii spaces and weighted spaces of Kondratiev type, we prove error estimates of higher order for DGFE solutions using a suitable graded mesh refinement near boundary singular points. The main tools are as follows: regularity investigation for the exact solution relying on general results for elliptic boundary value problems, error analysis for the interpolation in Sobolev–Slobodetskii spaces, and error estimates for DGFE solutions on special graded refined meshes combined with estimates in weighted Sobolev spaces. Our main result is that there exist a local grading of the mesh and a piecewise interpolation by polynoms of higher degree such that we will get the same order O (hα) of approximation as in the smooth case. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Firstly, the Riemann boundary value problem for a kind of degenerate elliptic system of the first order equations in R~4 is proposed. Then, with the help of the one-to-one correspondence between the theory of Clifford valued generalized regular functions and that of the degenerate elliptic system's solution, the boundary value problem as stated above is transformed into a boundary value problem related to the generalized regular functions in Clifford analysis. Moreover, the solution of the Riemann boundary value problem for the degenerate elliptic system is explicitly described by using a kind of singular integral operator. Finally, the conditions for the existence of solutions of the oblique derivative problem for another kind of degenerate elliptic system of the first order equations in R~4 are derived.  相似文献

We establish upper bounds for the energy of critical levels of the functional associated to a perturbed superlinear elliptic boundary value problem. We show that the perturbed problem satisfies the estimates obtained by Bahri and Lions (1988) for the symmetric problem. We use these estimates to prove the existence of nonradial solutions to a radial elliptic boundary value problem. Our results fill a gap in an earlier paper by Aduén and Castro.

In the investigation of the spectral theory of non-selfadjoint elliptic boundary value problems involving an indefinite weight function, there arises the problem of obtaining Lp a priori estimates for solutions about points of discontinuity of the weight function. Here we deal with this problem for the case where the weight function vanishes on a set of positive measure.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study a class of semilinear elliptic boundary value problems with degenerate boundary conditions which include as particular cases the Dirichlet problem and the Robin problem. The approach here is based on the super‐sub‐solution method in the degenerate case, and is distinguished by the extensive use of an Lp Schauder theory elaborated for second‐order, elliptic differential operators with discontinuous zero‐th order term. By using Schauder's fixed point theorem, we prove that the existence of an ordered pair of sub‐ and supersolutions of our problem implies the existence of a solution of the problem. The results extend an earlier theorem due to Kazdan and Warner to the degenerate case. © 2011 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim  相似文献

This is the third part of an article that is devoted to the theory of non‐linear initial boundary value problems. We consider coupled systems where each system is of higher order and of hyperbolic or parabolic type. Our goal is to characterize systematically all admissible couplings between systems of higher order and different type. By an admissible coupling we mean a condition that guarantees the existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions to the respective initial boundary value problem. In part 1, we develop the underlying theory of linear hyperbolic and parabolic initial boundary value problems. Testing the PDEs with suitable functions we obtain a priori estimates for the respective solutions. In particular, we make use of the regularity theory for linear elliptic boundary value problems that was previously developed by the author. In part 2, we prove the local in time existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions to quasilinear initial boundary value problems using the so‐called energy method. In the above sense the regularity assumptions about the coefficients and right‐hand sides define the admissible couplings. In part 3 at hand, we extend the results of part 2 to the nonlinear initial boundary value problem (4.2). In particular, assumptions (B8) and (B9) about the respective parameters correspond to the previous regularity assumptions and hence define the admissible couplings now. Moreover, we exploit assumptions (B8) and (B9) for the case of two coupled systems. Copyright © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The main aim of this paper is to discuss the problem concerning the analyticity of the solutions of analytic non-linear elliptic boundary value problems. It is proved that if the corresponding first variation is regular in Lopatinskiĭ sense, then the solution is analytic up to the boundary. The method of proof really covers the case that the corresponding first variation is regularly elliptic in the sense of Douglis-Nirenberg-Volevich, and hence completely generalize the previous result of C. B. Morrey. The author also discusses linear elliptic boundary value problems for systems of elliptic partial differential equations where the boundary operators are allowed to have singular integral operators as their coefficients. Combining the standard Fourier transform technique with analytic continuation argument, the author constructs the Poisson and Green’s kernel matrices related to the problems discussed and hence obtain some representation formulae to the solutions. Some a priori estimates of Schauder type and L p type are obtained. __________ Translated from Acta Sci. Natur. Univ. Jilin, 1963, (2): 403–447 by GAO Wenjie.  相似文献
