The problem of numerical simulation of NRM spectra of the donor impurity in silicon is solved in the context of the fact that the system of nuclear spins of 31 P is planned to be used to organize working registers of a solid-state quantum computer. The proposed simulation method is shown to be applicable in the case of a quantitative increase of the NMR register and its topological complication. A scheme of readout of the results of “quantum counting” at a level allowing determination (with the help of SQUID) of the state of an individual spin is proposed.  相似文献

The excitation functions for both the evaporation residue and fission have been calculated for 10B + 209Bi and 11B + 209Bi reactions forming compound systems 219, 220Ra* , using the dynamical cluster-decay model (DCM) with effects of deformations and orientations of the nuclei included in it. In addition to this, the excitation functions for complete fusion (CF) are obtained by summing the fission cross-sections, neutron evaporation and charged particle evaporation residue cross-sections produced through the axn\ensuremath \alpha xn and pxn\ensuremath pxn (x = 2, 3, 4) emission channels for the 219Ra system at various incident centre-of-mass energies. Experimentally the CF cross-sections are suppressed and the observed suppression is attributed to the low binding energy of 10, 11B which breaks up into charged fragments. The reported complete fusion (CF) and incomplete fusion (ICF) excitation functions for the 219Ra system are found to be nicely fitted by the calculations performed in the framework of DCM, without invoking a significant contribution from quasi-fission. Although DCM has been applied for a number of compound nucleus decay studies in the recent past, the same is being used here in reference to ICF and subsequent decay processes along with the CF process. Interestingly the main contribution to complete fusion cross-section comes from the fission cross-section at higher incident energies, which in DCM is found to consist of an asymmetric fission window, shown to arise due to the deformation and orientation effects of formation and decay fragments.  相似文献

The results of a direct measurement of the counting rate for solar neutrinos from the electron-capture process on 7Be, 7Be(e ?, ν e )7Li(E ν = 0.862 MeV), with the low-background scintillation detector BOREXINO are presented. This is the first ever real-time observation of a signal from solar neutrinos of energy below 1 MeV. The counting rate for monoenergetic beryllium neutrinos in the BOREXINO detector proved to be 47 ± 7 (stat.) ± 12 (syst.) counts/(day × 100 t), which is in agreement with the predictions of the standard solar model and the hypothesis of neutrino oscillations in matter with parameters in the LMA region.  相似文献

The objective of the present study was to describe more precisely experimental data on elastic scattering in the 16O + 16O system at E lab = 124, 145, 250, 350, and 480 MeV and in the 16O + 12C system at E lab = 132, 170, 181, 200, 230, 260, and 281 MeV. The role of exchange interaction in the region of backward angles is investigated. The coefficient of incompressibility of nuclear matter is estimated at K = 205 MeV ± 15%.  相似文献

In this paper, the cross section of the 4He + 64Zn and 6He + 64Zn reactions, at bombarding energies above and below the fusion barrier, has been investigated. Soft-core nucleon-nucleon interaction and the Monte Carlo method have been employed for studying the nuclear potential of the projectile-target system. One adjustable parameter has been chosen in this study. This parameter can change the depth of the soft-core potential. It has to be adjusted so that the calculated elastic scattering and fusion cross sections are in acceptable agreement with experimental data. Our results indicate that an increase in energy decreases the depth parameter of the soft-core nucleon-nucleon potential obtained from careful analysis the 4He + 64Zn and 6He + 64Zn reactions. Likewise, by comparing the results obtained from both reactions, one can observe that the calculated depth parameter for the reaction related to 6He is larger than that for 4He at the same energy, in particular at the sub-barrier energies. We try to explain this behavior.  相似文献

The norm kernel of the A=12 system composed of two 6He clusters, and the L=0 basis functions (in the SU(3) and angular momentum-coupled schemes) are analytically obtained in the Fock-Bargmann space. The norm kernel has a diagonal form in the former basis, but the asymptotic conditions are naturally defined in the latter one. The system is a good illustration for the method of projection of the norm kernel to the basis functions in the presence of SU(3) degeneracy that was proposed by the authors. The coupled-channel problem is considered in the algebraic version of the resonating-group method, with the multiple decay thresholds being properly accounted for. The structure of the ground state of 12Be obtained in the approximation of zero-range nuclear force is compared with the shell-model predictions. In the continuum part of the spectrum, the S-matrix is constructed, the asymptotic normalization coefficients are deduced and their energy dependence is analyzed.  相似文献

We present a single solid-state laser system to cool, coherently manipulate and detect 25Mg+ ions. Coherent manipulation is accomplished by coupling two hyperfine ground state levels using a pair of far-detuned Raman laser beams. Resonant light for Doppler cooling and detection is derived from the same laser source by means of an electro-optic modulator, generating a sideband which is resonant with the atomic transition. We demonstrate ground-state cooling of one of the vibrational modes of the ion in the trap using resolved-sideband cooling. The cooling performance is studied and discussed by observing the temporal evolution of Raman-stimulated sideband transitions. The setup is a major simplification over existing state-of-the-art systems, typically involving up to three separate laser sources.  相似文献

We report the first magneto-optical trapping of radioactive 135Cs and 137Cs and a promising means for detecting these isotopes at ultra-sensitive levels by coupling a magneto-optical trap (MOT) to a mass separator. A sample containing both isotopes was placed in the source of a mass separator, ionized, mass-separated, and implanted in a Zr foil within the trapping cell. After implantation, atoms were released from the foil by inductive heating and then captured in a MOT that used large-diameter beams and a dry-film-coated cell to achieve high trapping efficiency. Trapped-atom numbers in the case of either isotope ranged from 104 to 107, as determined from the MOT fluorescence signal. Over this trapped-atom range, the MOT fluorescence signal was found to increase linearly with the number of atoms implanted in the foil and without isotopic bias to within 4%. In principle, this method can then provide a measurement of the 137Cs/135Cs ratio accurate to within 4% through the direct ratio of MOT fluorescence signals. The fluorescence signal from stable 133Cs, when implanted and released from the foil, was suppressed relative to MOT signals by more than seven orders of magnitude when the system was tuned to trap 135Cs or 137Cs. When combined with the isotopic selectivity of ≥105 for the mass separator, the overall suppression of 133Cs is expected to exceed 1012. At present our system delivers atoms from sample to MOT with an efficiency of 0.5%, has a trapped-atom detection limit of 4000 atoms, and achieves a sample-detection sensitivity of one million atoms. Experimental cross sections of formation of isotopes 46Sc (in reaction 6He + 45Sc), 196,198Au (in reaction 6He + 197Au), and 65Zn (in reaction 6He + 64Zn) are analyzed. The time-dependent Schrödinger equation for the outer neutrons of 6He and 197Au nuclei is solved numerically to calculate the probability of neutron transfer and transfer cross sections. In reaction 6He + 197Au, the contribution of fusion and subsequent evaporation to experimental data can be neglected, while the corresponding contributions to reactions 6He + 45Sc and 6He + 64Zn are considerable. Fusion–evaporation is taken into account using the computational code of the NRV knowledge base. The results of calculations are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献

Absolute transition frequencies of the b 3Π(0u +) - X 1Σg + system of K2 were measured in a molecular beam with Lamb dip absorption spectroscopy applying a frequency comb from a femtosecond pulsed laser. Both, K atoms and K2 molecules are present in the beam and are expected to interact by collisions. The atoms can be deflected optically out of the beam, and thus the collision rate between K atoms and K2 molecules is changed by about an order of magnitude. The molecular transition frequencies for low collisional rate are compared with those for high one. Limits for the collisional frequency shift within the beam are determined.  相似文献

The spectra of neutrons from the (p, n) reactions on 47Ti, 48Ti, 49Ti, 53Cr, and 54Cr nuclei were measured in the proton-energy range 7–11 MeV. The measurements were performed with the aid of a fast-neutron spectrometer by the time-of-flight method over the base of the EGP-15 tandem accelerator of the Institute for Physics and Power Engineering (IPPE, Obninsk). Owing to a high resolution and a high stability of the time-of-flight spectrometer used, low-lying discrete levels could be identified reliably along with a continuum section of neutron spectra. An analysis of measured data was performed within the statistical equilibrium and preequilibrium models of nuclear reactions. The relevant calculations were performed by using the exact formalism of Hauser-Feshbach statistical theory supplemented with the generalized model of a superfluid nucleus, the back-shifted Fermi gas model, and the Gilbert-Cameron composite formula for the nuclear level density. The nuclear level densities for 47V, 48V, 49V, 53Mn, and 54Mn were determined along with their energy dependences and model parameters. The results are discussed together with available experimental data and recommendations of model systematics.  相似文献

In this paper we present for the first time the measured delayed neutron (DN) yields and time spectra from high-energy protons interacting with thick natPb targets. The 1GeV protons from the accelerator impinged on targets of different thicknesses producing a huge number of spallation-fission products, some of which can be DN precursors. After the beam is switched off, the DNs were detected with optimized 3He counter. The production yields of light DN precursors as 17N and “usual” fission products as 87Br and 88Br, which dominate the total DN activity, are obtained both for thin and thick targets. These new data are of great interest for the new generation high-power spallation targets based on liquid-metal technologies. Our findings also should help to constrain the physics models within the simulations codes.  相似文献

Charge distribution studies for heavy-mass fission products were carried out in the fast-neutron-induced fission of 232Th, 238U, 240Pu and 244Cm using radiochemical and gamma-ray spectrometric techniques. The width parameter( σZA), the most probable charge/mass ( Z P/A P), the charge polarization (ΔZ) and the slope of charge polarization [ δ(ΔZ)/δA ] as a function of the fragment mass (A ) were deduced. The average charge dispersion parameter ( 〈σZ〉) and proton odd-even effect ( δp) were also obtained for these fissioning systems. The 〈σZ〉 and δp values in the fissioning systems 241Pu * and 245Cm * were determined for the first time. The δ(ΔZ)/δA value is also determined for the first time in the fissioning systems 239U * , 241Pu * and 245Cm * . These data along with the literature data for even-Z fissioning systems such as 230Th * , 232Th * , 233U * , 234U * , 236U * , 238U * , 239Pu * , 240Pu*, 242Pu * , 246Cm * , 250Cf * and 252Cf(SF) are discussed in terms of nuclear structure effect and dynamics of descent from the saddle to the scission point. The role of the excitation energy in low-energy fission is also discussed. A slow cool-down at constant rotation velocity Ω from the normal to the superfluid state is expected to give the equilibrium state of vortex lines. We have checked this by counting the number of vortex lines in3He-B using cw NMR. Our measurements with 0≤Ω≤0.28 rad/s confirm the expectation.  相似文献

Experimental data on the momentum distributions of 4He nuclei originating from 6He and 6Li breakup on various targets are presented over a wide beam energy range. The experiment with 6He was performed at the DRIBs accelerator complex for radioactive beams at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR, Dubna). The intensity of the 6He beam used was 5 × 106 particles per second and its energy was 10 MeV per nucleon. The momentum distributions of breakup products were measured by means of the MSP-144 magnetic spectrometer. The distribution width was shown to be virtually independent of the target mass. A small value of this width, σ ~ 28 MeV/c, confirms the presence of a halo in 6He. The measurements performed with 6Li beams of energy 18 and 46 MeV per nucleon at the U-400M accelerator yielded a width value of σ ~ 50 MeV/c for the momentum distributions of 4He nuclei, which is intermediate between that for 6He and those for stable nuclei. A compilation of the widths of the momentum distributions of fragments originating from the breakup of various nuclei is presented versus the binding energy of one or two neutrons in these nuclei, the target mass and the projectile energy.  相似文献

Mass distribution and evaporation residue measurements have been carried out in the reaction 19F + 197Au using the recoil catcher technique followed by off-line γ-ray spectrometry. The random neck rupture model (RNRM) has been used to compute the variance of the mass distribution ( σ2A) and the average kinetic energy ( ˉ) of the fission fragments for the present system. The results of model calculations have been found to be in good agreement with the experimental observations. Measured evaporation residue cross-sections have been compared with the statistical model calculations.  相似文献

The low-energy structure of the dark-matter detector nuclei 71Ga, 73Ge, and 127I has been studied by using the microscopic quasiparticle-phonon model. The resulting ground states have been used to calculate theoretical predictions for detection rates of the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) in experiments studying elastic scattering of an LSP from an atomic nucleus. The highest rate, approximately 0.27 yr?1kg?1, among all the adopted SUSY parameters and renormalization schemes was provided by 127I at the zero limit of the detector energy threshold.  相似文献

The Coulomb dipole induced dynamic polarization potentials for 6He + 209Bi and 11Li + 208Pb systems within the framework of Feshbach’s formalism with a motive to ascertain the presence or absence of threshold anomaly have been studied. As a result of this study, the threshold anomaly has been found to be present for both systems. It has also been found that at deep sub-barrier energies the imaginary part either starts increasing or at least remains unchanged which indicates the presence of the breakup threshold anomaly. In addition, the Coulomb breakup transmission factors for both systems have been found to have maximum value below and near-barrier energies, but at very high energies due to closure of the breakup channel the breakup transmission coefficients quickly becomes zero.  相似文献
