A study of the electrodynamical properties of a Ka-band gyrotron open resonator was experimentally conducted. Experiments were accomplished to measure resonant frequencies and their respective loaded quality factors for TE modes in the frequency range from 26 to 40 GHz. In particular, a perturbation technique was used to determine the axial, radial and azimuthal electric field profiles, as an identification method of the TE021 mode operating around 35 GHz. In any experimental event, good agreement with the values predicted by theory was found.  相似文献

利用宇宙线分别研究了一个小单元漂移室在He/C3H8(60/40)和He/CH4(60/40)两种氦基混合气下的性能.作为比较还测试了在Ar/CO2/CH4(89/10/1)混合气下的性能.研究表明上述氦基混合气的空间分辨和dE/dx分辨好于Ar/CO2/CH4(89/10/1)混合气.使用He/C8H8(60/40)可以获得110μm的空间分辨,在30—40次取样下dE/dx分辨可以达到6%—7%.  相似文献

Observations have been made of an rf multiple-ring discharge which is a variant of the well-known single-ring rf discharge described by J. J. Thomson. A set of discretely-located plasma rings (typically 2 to 5 in number) forms coaxially in the central portion of a cylindrical quartz tube on the axis of a cylindrical cavity excited in the TE011 mode. The rings fit closely inside the inner periphery of the quartz tube at pressures ranging from a few Torr to atmospheric, have a minor diameter of order 1/10 the tube diameter, and are spaced at intervals nearly equal to the tube diameter. Excitation of the degenerate companion TM111 mode results in asymmetrical tilting of the rings. Gas flow through the discharge tube results in a continuous unidirectional axial motion of the rings with new rings being abruptly formed toward the input end of the tube and contracting and vanishing abruptly as they move toward the exit end. A theory is developed which accounts for the observed phenomena.  相似文献

A new ultrasonic cylindrical linear phased array (CLPA) transducer is designed and fabricated for the borehole wall imaging in petroleum logging based on the previous theoretical researches. First, the CLPA transducer, which is made up of numbers of the piezoelectric elements distributed on the surface of a cylinder uniformly, is designed and fabricated. By transmitting and receiving acoustic waves with 16 active elements and using different groups of the elements under the control of the electric system, the CLPA can scan all areas of the borehole wall dynamically and rapidly without a traditional mechanism around the borehole axis. Then, the theoretical and experimental investigations are conducted in detail for the borehole wall scanning and imaging by the steel pipe and casing borehole with defects distributed in different shapes and directions. It is shown by experiments that the CLPA transducer has good focusing characteristic and good resolution for the borehole wall imaging in acoustic logging.  相似文献

To study DIA wave properties, a reductive perturbation (RP) analysis is used. By a reductive perturbation (RP) analysis under convenient coordinate transformation, the three dimension Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation in cylindrical coordinates is obtained. The effects of dust grain charge on soliton pulse structures are studied. More specifically, solitary profile depending on the axial, radial, and polar angle coordinates with time is discussed. The paper presents the main characteristics of transverse mode HCE glow discharges in spectral pure helium and neon and in a He/Ne mixture in a long perforated cylindrical cathode with an external coaxial anode. At optimum values of gas pressure, when HCE gets its climatic stage, the compact negative glow evenly “fills” the cathode cavity with maximum amplifications of current and radiation.  相似文献

理论分析了非线性偏振旋转环形腔作为类饱和可吸收体获得脉冲的物理机理。在光纤环形腔结构中,采用单个偏振控制器实现了非线性偏振旋转锁模,直接获得了脉冲宽度为131 fs的超短脉冲输出。实验中,采用性能稳定的976 nm半导体二极管激光器作为抽运源,使用高掺杂浓度的Er3 光纤为增益介质,通过调节偏振控制器,获得了光谱谱宽(3 dB带宽处)为23.5 nm的稳定锁模脉冲输出。脉冲中心波长为1535.9 nm,平均功率为5.91 mW,脉冲重复率为11.20 MHz。  相似文献

A new linear ultrasonic phased array fixed on a cylindrical surface is designed. This kind of the cylindrical phased array can meet the specific requirements of the application in testing pipe quality inside pipes. Using the transducer, we can not only avoid mechanical rotating but also test the quality of any point in a pipe by ultrasonic phase array technology. The focused acoustic field distributions in the axial, radial and tangential directions of the transducer are investigated theoretically by numerical simulation. The energy flux density, the width of the main lobe, the imaging resolution, the grating lobe elimination and other characteristics are analysed. The effect of the focal distance, effective aperture, transducer radius, number of total element, and steering angle on the acoustic field distribution is also studied.thoroughly. A novel mechanical anti-aliasing filtering fibre-optic hydrophone with a cylindrical Helmholtz resonator is con- structed and tested. The experimental results show that the hydrophone has a function of low-pass filtering. The low frequency acoustic sensitivity is about -160 dB (1 rad/#Pa), and the response curve has a resonance deter- mined by the Helmholtz resonator. Theoretical and experimental results both show that the resonant frequency moves towards high frequency with the increasing orifice diameters. The sensitivity attenuation of high frequency is larger than lOdB. This new fibre-optic hydrophone is a prototype device for a class of sensors used to eliminate the aliasing in future sonar systems.  相似文献

本文简要描述了北京谱仪主漂移室的dE/ds粒子识别方法,给出在物理实验应用中dE/dx性能测量的主要结果.经过系统效应的软件修正和绝对的能量刻度后,对最小电离粒子(0.4—0.5GeV/c的π)大于30次dE/dx取样的能量分辨率为7.5%.大于3σK/π分离的动量p≤0.65GeV/c.大于3σe/π分离的相应动量范围为0.2≤p≤4GeV/c.  相似文献

This paper presents a numerical study of a gas acoustic streaming in a cylindrical cavity under a vibratory action. The walls of the cavity are considered impermeable and maintained at a constant temperature. The test gas is air. Variations in acoustic streaming and period-average temperature of the gas in the cavity with increasing nonlinearity of the process are shown. The increase in the nonlinearity is caused by an increase in the vibration amplitude.  相似文献

This paper discusses prospects for borehole acoustics associated with the use of focused fields. The possibility of developing efficient borehole methods for testing nonlinear characteristics of natural deposited geological environments is studied. The potential of improving geotechnological processes using focused fields induced by extended borehole antennas is considered. 研究了圆柱腔体共振频率的测量方法,测试了新建立的声速实验系统,结果显示圆柱共鸣腔具有较高的信噪比,共振频率的测量不确定度小于5×10-6。采用Ar气(99.999%)标定了声速共鸣腔的有效长度,不确定度为1.8×10-5。开展了303~333 K下CO2的气相声速实验研究,实验结果表明,当实验工质具有较高的纯度(>99.995%)时,气相声速的测量精度优于0.01%。  相似文献

在理论和数值上研究柱面波对多层球的声辐射力.基于声波的散射理论,得到声辐射力的解析解,并给出数值仿真.结果表明:在特定的kakr0处,柱面行波的辐射力可以是负值(k是波数,a是多层球的半径,r0是多层球到声源的距离).随着kr0增加到无穷大,仿真结果退化为平面波的情形.对双层球而言,每层的相对厚度影响曲线共振峰的大小和位置,但对三层球而言没有显著影响.当最内层的介质换成空气时,由于声阻抗差异较大,共振峰更加明显.该研究可以为研发新一代单行波声束声学镊子提供理论指导,该技术在生物医学超声和材料科学领域有广泛的应用.  相似文献

Acoustic cloak based on coordinate transformation is of great topical interest and has promise in potential appli- cations such as sound transparency and insulation. The frequency response of acoustic cloaks with a quantity of discrete homogeneous layers is analyzed by the acoustic scattering theory. The effect of coordinate transforma- tion function on the acoustic total scattering cross section is discussed to achieve low scattering with only a few layers of anisotropic metamaterials. Also, the physics of acoustic wave interaction with the interfaces between the discrete layers inside the cloak shell is discussed. These results provide a better way of designing a multilayered acoustic cloak with fewer layers.  相似文献

A new kind (two end readout) of Multi-gap Resistive Plate Chamber with long readout-strip (LMRPC) is developed to be used at the large-area Muon Telescope Detector (MTD) at mid-rapidity at RHIC/STAR experiment for Time-of-Flight (TOF) measurement. The LMRPC has an active area of 87 cm× 17 cm, 10 gas gaps of 250 μm arranged in 2 stacks, with readout strips of 2.5 cm wide and 90 cm long. The considerations in LMRPC design related to its performance are discussed in this paper. The cosmic ray test results of a prototype LMRPC show a detection efficiency >95% and the time resolution ~70 ps.  相似文献
