We call an R d -valued stochastic process X t with characteristic function exp{–t{(m 2/+2)/2m}},R d ,m>0, the relativistic -stable process. In the paper we derive sharp estimates for the Green function of the relativistic -stable process on C 1,1 domains. Using these estimates we provide lower and upper bounds for the Poisson kernel. As another application we derive 3G Theorem and Boundary Harnack Principle for C 1,1 domains.  相似文献

In this paper we show the strong mean square convergence of a numerical scheme for a R d -multivalued stochastic differential equation: dX t +A(X t )dtb(t,X t )dt+(t,X t )dW t and obtain the rate of convergence O(( log(1/)1/2) when the diffusion coefficient is bounded. By introducing a discrete Skorokhod problem, we establish L p -estimates (p2) for the solutions and prove the convergence by using a deterministic result. Numerical experiments for the rate of convergence are presented.  相似文献

The properties of stationary solutions of the one-dimensional fractional Einstein--Smoluchowski equation with a potential of the form x 2m+2, m=1,2,..., and of the Riesz spatial fractional derivative of order , 12, are studied analytically and numerically. We show that for 1<2, the stationary distribution functions have power-law asymptotic approximations decreasing as x –(+2m+1) for large values of the argument. We also show that these distributions are bimodal.  相似文献

Let X be a locally finite tree, and let G=Aut(X). Then G is a locally compact group. We show that if X has more than one end, and if G contains a discrete subgroup such that the quotient graph of groups \\X is infinite but has finite covolume, then G contains a nonuniform lattice, that is, a discrete subgroup such that \G is not compact, yet has a finite G-invariant measure.  相似文献

We consider the (q, ) numeration system, with basis q2 and the set of digits {, +1,,q+–1} where –(q–1)0. We study properties of numbers where some digits do not occur. This is analogous to the Cantor set {0.a1a2ai{0,2}}. We compute an asymptotic equivalent of the nth moment of the Cantor (q, D)-distribution which can be described as the numbers 0. w1w2 with wiD{,,q+–1}, and each such letter can occur with the same probability 1/CardD. Furthermore, we consider n random strings according to the distribution and the expected minimum of them. Let X 4 be a smooth hypersurface of degree d 5, and let S X be a smooth hyperplane section. Assume that there exists a non trivial cycle Z Pic(X) of degree 0, whose image in CH1(X) is in the kernel of the Abel–Jacobi map. The family of couples (X, S) containing such Z is a countable union of analytic varieties. We show that it has a unique component of maximal dimension, which is exaclty the locus of couples (X, S) satisfying the following condition: There exists a line S and a plane P 4 such that P X = , and Z = – dh, where h is the class of the hyperplane section in CH1(S). The image of Z in CH1(X) is thus 0. This construction provides evidence for a conjecture by Nori which predicts that the Abel–Jacobi map for 1–cycles on X is injective.  相似文献

The paper studies singular eigenvalue problems for the equation y (n) +p(x)y=0 with boundary conditions imposed on the derivatives y (i) at the points x=a and x=. We look for singular problems which are analogous to regular problems on a finite interval. We prove that a surjective morphism :XX between ruled surfaces is finite and it descends to a finite morphism :CC between base curves of X and X. When is restricted to the fibres of X, it has a constant degree, say a, and then deg=a deg. In addition, we have several properties on the inverse image of a minimal section and a fibre of X as well as on the direct images. We evaluate finite-temperature equilibrium correlators for thermal time ordered Bose fields to good approximations by new methods of functional integration in d=1,2,3 dimensions and with the trap potentials V(r)0. As in the translationally invariant cases, asymptotic behaviors fall as to longer-range condensate values for and only for d=3 in agreement with experimental observations; but there are generally significant corrections also depending on due to the presence of the traps. For d=1, we regain the exact translationally invariant results as the trap frequencies 0. In analyzing the attractive cases, we investigate the time-dependent c-number Gross–Pitaevskii (GP) equation with the trap potential for a generalized nonlinearity –2c||2n and c<0. For n=1, the stationary form of the GP equation appears in the steepest-descent approximation of the functional integrals. We show that collapse in the sense of Zakharov can occur for c=0 and nd2 and a functional E NLS[]0 even when V(r)0. The singularities typically arise as -functions centered on the trap origin r=0.  相似文献

We introduce two new local 1-indices of the same type as the Bourgain 1-index; the +1-index and the +1-weakly null index. We show that the +1-weakly null index of a Banach space X is the same as the Szlenk index of X, provided X does not contain 1. The +1-weakly null index has the same form as the Bourgain 1-index: if it is countable it must take values for some <1. The different 1-indices are closely related and so knowing the Szlenk index of a Banach space helps us calculate its 1-index, via the +1-weakly null index. We show that I(C())=^1++1.  相似文献

We review the proposal of a constructive axiomatic approach to the determination of the orbit spaces of all the real compact linear groups, obtained through the computation of a metric matrix , which is defined only in terms of the scalar products between the gradients p1(x),...,pq(x) of the elements of a minimal integrity basis (MIB) for the ring [n]G of G-invariant polynomials. The domain of semi-positivity of is known to realize the orbit space n/G of G as a semi-algebraic variety in the space q spanned by the variables p1,...,pq. The matrices can be obtained from the solutions of a universal differential equation (master equation), which satisfy convenient initial conditions. The master equation and the initial conditions involve as free parameters only the degrees da of the pa(x)s. This approach tries to bypass the actual impossibility of explicitly determining a set of basic polynomial invariants for each group. Our results may be relevant in physical contexts where the study of covariant or invariant functions is important, like in the determination of patterns of spontaneous symmetry breaking in quantum field theory, in the analysis of phase spaces and structural phase transitions (Landaus theory), in covariant bifurcation theory, in crystal field theory and so on. We consider solutions of the class of ODEs y=6y 2x , which contains the first Painlevé equation (PI) for =1. It is well known that PI has a unique real solution (called a tritronquée solution) asymptotic to and decaying monotonically on the positive real line. We consider Dyson's hierarchical model on a d-dimensional hierarchical lattice and define a renormalization group (RG) transformation for complex values of d as a map in the space of sequences of coupling constants determining the model Hamiltonian. We show that d=4 is a bifurcation value of this transformation for the RG transformation parameter equal to 1+2/d, and we construct a non-Gaussian RG-invariant Hamiltonian in terms of the (4–d)-expansion. We establish that the (–3/2)- and (4–d)-expansion coefficients for a non-Gaussian fixed point in the dimension d=3 have the same asymptotic representation as the size of the elementary cell tends to infinity, thus confirming that both the expansions describe the same nontrivial fixed point in the dimension three.  相似文献
