An efficient method for palladium-catalyzed homocoupling reaction of terminal alkynes in the synthesis of symmetric diynes is presented. The results showed that both Pd(OAc)(2) and CuI played crucial roles in the reaction. In the presence of 2 mol % Pd(OAc)(2), 2 mol % CuI, 3 equiv of Dabco, and air, homocoupling of various terminal alkynes afforded the corresponding symmetrical diynes in moderate to excellent yields, whereas low yields were obtained without either Pd(OAc)(2) or CuI. Moreover, high TONs (turnover numbers; up to 940 000 for the reaction of phenylacetylene) for the homocoupling reaction were observed. Under similar reaction conditions, cross-coupling of 1-iodo-4-nitrobenzene with phenylacetylene was also carried out smoothly in quantitative yield. However, the presence of CuI disfavored the palladium-catalyzed Sonogashira cross-coupling reactions of the less active aryl iodides and bromides. In the presence of 0.01-2 mol % Pd(OAc)(2), a number of aryl iodides and bromides were coupled with terminal alkynes in good to excellent yields. It is noteworthy that this protocol employs mild, efficient, aerobic, copper-free, and ligand-free conditions.  相似文献

The homocoupling reaction between the conjugated n-(2-chloroethenyl)pyridine; n, 2-, 3- and 4- (or quinoline; n, 2- and 4-) mediated by zero-valent nickel complexes at room temperature affords to the corresponding 1,4-diaryl-1,3-butadiene, always as the 1E,3E stereoisomer. The yield in 1,4-diaryl-1,3-butadiene increases with the nickel catalyst and hence, the active zero-valent nickel catalyst is not regenerated during the homocoupling reaction.The stereospecific synthesis of (1Z,3Z)-1,4-di(4′-pyridyl)-1,3-butadiene stereoisomer was efficiently carried out by partial hydrogenation of the appropriate 1,4-di(4′-pyridyl)-1,3-butadiyne.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] The side product from homocoupling reaction of two terminal acetylenes in the Sonogashira reaction can be reduced to about 2% using an atmosphere of hydrogen gas diluted with nitrogen or argon. Terminal arylethynes, diarylethynes, and a few new arylpyridylethynes with donor substituents have been synthesized in very good yields. Comparative control experiments suggest that the homocoupling yield is determined by concentration of both catalyst and oxygen.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Both symmetric and unsymmetric 1,3-diynes were prepared from the palladium-catalyzed reaction of 1,1-dibromo-1-alkenes. The formation of symmetric 1,3-diynes 2 (homocoupling) was catalyzed by a weak ligand, tris(2-furyl)phosphine (TFP), and the addition of catalytic amount of CuI accelerated the reaction. The synthesis of unsymmetric 1,3-diynes 4 (the Sonogashira reaction) required a highly electron rich tris(4-methoxyphenyl)phosphine as the ligand, and CuI promotes the formation of byproduct 1,1-diynyl-1-alkenes 5.  相似文献

It is shown for the first time that the Wurtz reaction can be realized by the action of an organic substance (triphenylphosphine) on an alkyl halide (perfluoroalkyl iodide) without the use of metals. It was found that when trying to prepare the bis(3,3′-aminophenyl)(fluoroalkyl)phosphine oxide by four-step synthesis, in the first stage of the reaction of perfluoro-1-iodohexane with triphenylphosphine does not proceed towards the formation of an intermediate quaternary phosphonium salt. Instead, the carbon chain of perfluoroalkyl iodide dimerizes to form perfluorododecane – Wurtz reaction product. We have proposed a new pathway for homocoupling of perfluoroalkylhalides into even-numbered perfluoroalkanes.  相似文献

An efficient, amine- and phosphine-free palladium(II)-catalyzed homocoupling of terminal alkynes has been developed. In the presence of PdCl2, CuI, Me3NO, and NaOAc, homocoupling of various terminal alkynes underwent smoothly to afford the corresponding diynes in moderate to high yields without any phosphine ligands. In contrast, the presence of a phosphine ligand (PPh3) disfavored this palladium-catalyzed homocoupling procedure. Bases, solvents, and CuI have fundamental influence on the palladium-catalyzed homocoupling of terminal alkynes.  相似文献

Microwave-assisted tandem reaction of(Z)-arylvinyl bromides involving an elimination and homocoupling in the presence of DBU and Cul in DMF affords a variety of symmetrical 1,3-diynes in good to excellent yields.This tandem process,eliminating the need of volatile and savory terminal alkynes,provides an alternative to the conventional homocoupling methods for the synthesis of symmetrical 1,3-diynes.  相似文献

Palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of racemic alpha-bromo sulfoxides with boronic acids are carried out in either aqueous or nonaqueous medium with formation of a new C sp(3)-C sp(2) bond. The arylation of chiral alpha-bromo sulfoxides occurs without racemization. The cross-coupling reaction is general and gives high yields with arylboronic acids substituted with either donor or acceptor groups but gives poor results with heteroarylboronic acids. The best yields are obtained using degassed solvents and CsF instead of aqueous base. The use of aqueous base and the presence of oxygen favor the homocoupling side reaction.  相似文献

Depending on the solvent used and the ratio of the reactants, N-acylpyridinium salts condense with indole to give 3-(N-acyl-1,4-dihydro-4-pyridyl)indole ( 1 ) or 4-(N-acyl-3-indolyl)pyridinium chloride ( 3 ). Compound 1 is an intermediate in the formation of compound 3 . The reaction mechanism has been studied, and a hydrogen transfer reaction is suggested as a key step. Alkaline hydrolysis, e.g., of 4-(N-acetyl-3-indolyl)pyridinium chloride ( 3a ), gave 3-(4-pyridyl)indole ( 2a ). The reaction of α-chlorosubstituted acyl halides with indole, in the presence of pyridine constitutes a convenient synthesis of 3-chloroacylindoles.  相似文献

A new efficient homocoupling reaction was reported in one pot by a combination of metallic magnesium and a catalytic amount of manganese (II) chloride. Various aromatic and alkyl halides underwent homocoupling smoothly, affording the corresponding symmetrical homocoupling compounds in moderate to good yields. The readily available MnCl2, the mild reaction conditions and the operational simplicity and practicability allow for an easy and practical procedure for the purpose of carbon carbon bond formation. A stable and efficient Pd(OAc)2/PPh3/PEG‐2000 catalytic system for homocoupling of arylboronic acids has been developed. In the presence of Pd(OAc)2 and PPh3, the homocoupling reaction of arylboronic acids was carried out smoothly in PEG‐2000 at 70 °C under air without base to afford a variety of symmetric biaryls in good to excellent yields. The isolation of the products was readily performed by extraction with diethyl ether, and the Pd(OAc)2/PPh3/PEG‐2000 system could be easily recycled and reused six times without significant loss of catalytic activity. A homocoupling reaction mechanism of bromobenzene mediated by the [Ni(cod)(bpy)] (cod = 1,5-cyclooctadiene; bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) complex was investigated by means of in situ time-resolved X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) and factor analysis. A dimer intermediate [Ni(bpy)(Ph)Br](2) proposed in the previous studies by other groups is too dilute to observe with the XAFS technique; however, the structures and concentrations on the time course of a reactant [Ni(cod)(bpy)], an intermediate [Ni(bpy)(Ph)Br(dmf)(2)], and a byproduct [Ni(bpy)Br(2)(dmf)] during reaction are revealed by this combination.  相似文献

A method for the Glaser coupling reaction of alkynes by using a vibration ball mill has been developed. The procedure avoids the use of ligands and solvents during the reaction. Aryl- and alkyl-substituted terminal alkynes undergo homocoupling if coground with KF-Al(2)O(3) and CuI as a milling auxiliary and catalyst. Furthermore, an alternative protocol has been developed incorporating 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) as an additional base allowing the use of KF-Al(2)O(3) with a lower KF loading. Besides Cu salts, the homocoupling of phenylacetylene is also catalyzed by Ni or Co salts, as well as by PdCl(2). TMS-protected phenylacetylene could be directly converted into the homocoupling product after in situ deprotection of the alkyne by fluoride-initiated removal of the trimethylsilyl group.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] A new Suzuki-type palladium-catalyzed reaction of boronic acids with alpha-bromo sulfoxides has been developed using a protocol similar to the well-documented reaction of boronic acids with aryl halides. Both cross-coupling and homocoupling processes were observed. The best yields in cross-coupling products were obtained when the presence of oxygen was carefully excluded using degassed solvents. The oxidative addition palladium complex intermediate could be isolated and characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction.  相似文献

Novel bipyridylene-bridged bisporphyrin 1a, in which two porphyrin units were attached directly to symmetrical 4,4'-positions of the 2,2'-bipyridyl group, was synthesized by a nickel(0)-mediated homocoupling reaction of 5,10,15-tris(n-heptyl)-20-(2'-bromo-4'-pyridyl)porphyrinatozinc (3a) in 58% yield. Spatial geometries of two porphyrins in 1a were regulated by reversible complexation of the bipyridyl part with PdCl(2). Thus, the addition of 2.2 equiv of palladium chloride to 1a converted the freely rotating conformation to the cofacial bisporphyrin 2a. The subsequent addition of 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine 9 regenerated the initial bisporphyrin 1a.  相似文献

The unprecedented homolytic opening of ozonides promoted and catalyzed by titanocene(III) is reported. This novel reaction proceeds at room temperature under neutral, mild conditions compatible with many functional groups and provides carbon radicals suitable to form C-C bonds via both homocoupling and cross-coupling processes. The procedure has been advantageously exploited for the straightforward synthesis of the natural product brittonin A.  相似文献
