A spectrophotometric and a photometric titration method in a two-phase system for the determination of gold with ferroin is reported. Both methods are rapid and reproducible with an accuracy of ±1%. In the spectrophotometric determination Co2+, Cu2+, Ni2+ , Fe3+, Zn2+, Mn2+ and Cr3+ do not interfere with the determination of gold and Pt4+, Pd2+, Hg2+, Ir4+ and Os4+ can be tolerated up to a ratio of 1:1. The titrations can also be carried out in the presence of a number of diverse ions, e.g. Ni2+, Cu2+, Co2+, Fe3+, Zn2+, Cr3+, Mn2+, without interference; the platinum metals and Hg2+ cause interference but, by the use of the spectrophotometric procedure, this can be reduced.  相似文献

The kinetics of the exchange between MnO or Mn3O4 and Co2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, or Zn2+ ions in solution, was determined by measuring the γ-activity of56Mn acquired by the solution after shaking with the neutron irradiated solid. The results indicated a fast exchange followed by a slower apparently diffusion-controlled exchange. The exchange capacity increased in the series: Co2+<Ni2+<Cu2+=Zn2+ for MnO and Ni2+<Co2+<Zn2+<Cu2+ for Mn3O4. The trends could not be satisfactorily explained by the ionic radii or crystal field stabilisation-energies. In the case of MnO, the results were discussed in terms of the estimated standard enthalpy change of the exchange reaction.  相似文献

A method for solid phase extraction of trace metals such as Cd2+, Cr6+, Cu2+, Fe3+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ using nanometer-sized alumina coated with chromotropic acid prior to determination by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) has been developed. Various influencing parameters on the separation and preconcentration of trace metals, pH, flow rate, sample volume, amount of adsorbent, concentration of eluent and sorption kinetics have been studied. The detection limits for Cd2+, Cr6+, Cu2+, Fe3+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ were found to be 0.14, 0.62, 0.22, 0.54, 0.27, 0.28, 0.53 and 0.38 ng ml− 1, respectively. The adsorption capacity of the solid phase adsorption material is 10.3, 11.3, 14.5, 16.4, 15.1, 11.7, 15.4 and 16.8 mg g− 1 for Cd2+, Cr6+, Cu2+, Fe3+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+, respectively. The preconcentration factor was obtained in the range of 50-100 for all studied metal ions. Coexisting ions over a high concentration range have not shown any significant effects on the determination of aforesaid metal ions. The accuracy of the proposed method was tested by standard reference materials (NIST 1643e: water, NIST 1573a: tomato leaves and NIST 1568a rice flour) and natural waters and the results obtained were in good agreement with the certified values.  相似文献

Summary The precipitation of palladium as violurate is suitable for the determination of the metal present as chloride even in the presence of: Pt4+, Co2+, Ni2+, Fe3+, Cu2+, Mn2+, Zn2+, Ca2+, the alkalis and also considerable amounts of Pb2+ ions.

Résumé Le précipité de violurate de palladium convient pour le dosage de cet élément préexistant sous forme de chlorure, en présence de Pt4+, Co2+, Ni2+, Fe3+, Cu2+, Mn2+, Zn2+, Ca2+, des métaux alcalins et de grandes quantités d'ions Pb2+.

Summary The synthesis and characterization of MnII, CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII, CdII UO 2 2+ , CrIII and FeIII complexes of biacetylmonoxime nicotinoyl hydrazone (H2BMNH) are reported. Elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic moment and spectral (i.r., visible and n.m.r.) measurements have been used to characterize the complexes. I.r. spectral data show that the ligand behaves in a bidentate and/or tridentate manner. An octahedral structure is proposed for the MnII, NiII, CrIII and FeIII complexes, while a square-planar structure is proposed for both CoII and CuII complexes on the basis of magnetic and spectral measurements.  相似文献

Six new triazole compounds were synthesized. These compounds containing the substituted benzylidenamino group were obtained by reaction of 3-(pyridine-4-yl)-5-p-tolyl-4-amino-4H-l,2,4-triazole 1 with the corresponding aldehyde. The reduced forms were prepared with NaBH4 in methanol. The structures of the compounds were determined by IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectral data, and their interaction with cations such as Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, Ba2+, Sr2+, Ca2+, Cu2+, Cr3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Pb2+ and Ag+ were investigated by using UV-visible spectrophotometry. Of the tested metal cations, Cu2+, Cr3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Pb2+ and Ag+ complexed with the ligands. The complex stability constants (log 10 K) were measured in slightly acidic aqueous media at 25.0±0.1 °C. These stability constants were determined by measuring the increase in solubility of the nearly insoluble ligand molecule due to complex formation with a soluble cation, and this method is discussed. It was found that the position of chlorine atoms on the benzene ring strongly affects the complexation of Cu2+ ion with these ligands.  相似文献

I.r. spectral data show that the ligand behaves in a bidentate, tridentate and/or tetradentate manner. Different stereochemistries are proposed for CrIII, MnII, FeIII, CoII, NiII and CuII complexes on the basis of spectral and magnetic studies. The i.r. data indicate that the carbonyl oxygen of the benzoyl moiety is the backbone of chelation in most complexes.  相似文献

Analysis of published data was performed on the basis of solvation energies of a number of “transition” and “soft” cations. A dependence of the solvation energy of cations on the donor and acceptor numbers of the solvent was derived. Donor and acceptor ability parameters of Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Ag+, Cd2+, and Tl+ were calculated. The resultant parameters were used to calculate the extraction constants of the specified cations with di-2-ethylhexyl-phosphoric acid (DEHPA) solution in neutral solvents; the model represented has a good predictive power.  相似文献

Interactions of nanofilms containing ethanolamino groups with cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II), and zinc(II) ammoniates at the surface of polyvinylchloride plates and with chromium(III) ammoniate in a solution of ammonium chloride were studied. It was found that the groups of the film, together with chloride ions, displace all ammonia molecules from the inner coordination sphere of the metal. The average number of the ethanolamino N atoms of the film participating in formation of the metal ion coordination sphere is 3.35, 3.47, 3.67, 3.42, and 3.37 for Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, and Cr3+ complexes, respectively. The average number of chloride ions is 2 for Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, and Zn2+ and 3 for Cr3+. The coordination number of the central atoms is 6. The Cr3+ ion forms a coordination sphere composed of three N atoms and three chloride ions and a coordination sphere (charged 1+) made up of four N atoms and two chloride ions, with the third chloride ion being in the outer sphere. The Co2+, Ni2+, and Cu2+ ions form uncharged coordination spheres of two types: (1) with four N atoms and two chloride ions and (2) with three N atoms, two chloride ions, and the O atom of the ethanol hydroxyl group.  相似文献

The mordenite samples loaded with divalent nitrates of Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn and Cd were investigated using FTIR and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) methods. It was found from FTIR spectra that in 3000-4000 cm−1 region of mordenite samples with similar water concentration ions, Mn2+, Co2+, Cu2+, and Zn2+ tend to break hydrogen bonds formed between water molecules and zeolite framework, whereas Ni2+ and Cd2+ accommodate to hydrogen bonds. From SEM results it was concluded, that ions Mn2+, Co2+, Zn2+ form innersphere complexes with oxygens from Brönsted acid sites, whereas Ni2+ and Cd2+ associate with Brönsted acid sites without exchange of protons.  相似文献

An optical chemical sensor based on 2-mercaptopyrimidine (2-MP) in plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane incorporating (N,N-diethyl-5-(octadecanoylimino)-5H benzo[a]phenoxazine-9-amine (ETH 5294) and sodium tetraphenyl borate (NaTPB) for batch and flow-through determination of mercury ion is described. The response of the sensor is based on selective complexation of Hg2+ with 2-MP in the membrane phase, resulting in an ion exchange process between H+ in the membrane and Hg2+ in the sample solution. The influences of several experimental parameters, such as membrane composition, pH, and type and concentration of the regenerating reagent, were investigated. The sensor has a response range of 2.0 × 10−9 to 2.0 × 10−5 mol L−1 Hg2+ with a detection limit of 4.0 × 10−10 mol L−1 and a response time of ≤45 s at optimum pH of 6.5 with high measurement repeatability and sensor-to-sensor reproducibility. It shows high selectivity for Hg2+ over several transition metal ions, including Ag+, Cd2+, Co2+, Cr3+, Cu2+, Fe3+, Mn2+, Ni2+, and common alkali and alkaline earth ions such as Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+, and Pb2+. The sensor membrane can be easily regenerated with dilute acid solutions. The sensor has been used for the determination of mercury ion concentration in water samples.  相似文献

A simple and green analytical procedure based on chlorophyll a is presented for the determination of Hg2+ ion. Chlorophyll a was extracted and purified from the leaves of pea and is employed as a reagent for analysis of Hg2+ ion. It displays remarkable fluorescence emission at 674 nm when excited at 412 nm. The emission intensity decreased significantly on exposure to various concentrations of Hg2+ ion. This forms the basis for the determination of Hg2+ ion. The proposed method was evaluated for sensitivity and selectivity. The linear concentration range was found to be 2.0–10 μM with r2 = 0.997 and the limit of detection for Hg2+ ion was 1.3 μM. Ions including Pb2+, Cd2+, Ag+, Zn2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Mg2+, Mn2+, Ru3+, Er3+, K+, Na+, NH4+, Cl, NO3, CH3COO and SO42− did not interfere with the measurement of Hg2+ ion even at 500-fold excess. Since chlorophyll a is widely available in the leaves of most plants, and the extraction and purification process is simple, this technique can provide an alternative, sensitive and economical way to determine Hg2+ ion.  相似文献

Abstract

Adducts of theobromine (tbH) with 3d metal perchlorates (Mn+ = Cr3-. Mn2+, Fe2+, Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2- I here prepared by refluxing mixtures of the Iigand and a metal salt in ethyl acetate-triethyl orthoformate. The new complexes invariably involve 2: 1 molar ratios of tbH to metal ion and are apparently monomeric with terminal tbH ligands binding riaa ring nitrogen (N9 or Nl). The Mn2+, Cu2+ and Zn2- complexes are distorted tetrahedral, involving tuo tbH and two unidentate perchlorato ligands in the first coordination sphere of the metal ion. The remaining metal(II) complexes (Fe, Co, Ni) were obtained as monohydrates. These compounds are pentacoordinated of the [M(tbH)2(OClO3)2(OH2)] type, containing one aqua ligand in addition to the tbH and perchlorato ligands. The Cr3+ and Fe3+ complexes are low-symmetry hexacoordinated, with two tbH ligands. two unidentate and one bidentate chelating perchlorate Iigands.  相似文献

A new perylene diimide (PDI) ligand (1) functionalized with a dipicolylethylenediamine (DPEN) moiety was synthesized and first used as a colorimetric and fluorometric dual-channel sensor to specifically detect the presence of Cu2+ over a wide range of other cations. The solution of 1 (10 μmol/L) upon addition of Cu2+ displayed distinguishing pink color compared with other cations including K+, Ni2+, Ca2+, Mn2+, Na+, Sr2+, Zn2+, Co2+, Cd2+, Mg2+, Cr3+, Ag+, and Ba2+, indicating the sensitivity and selectivity of 1 to Cu2+. Thus, the advantage of this assay is that naked-eye detection of Cu2+ becomes possible. Moreover, among these metal ions investigated, only Cu2+ quenched more than half fluorescent intensity of 1. The ESI-TOF spectrum of a mixture of 1 and CuCl2 in combination of the fluorescence titration spectra of 1 (10 μmol/L) upon addition of various amounts of Cu2+ revealed the formation of a 2:1 metal-ligand complex through the metal coordination interaction. The extraction of ammine complexes of Cu2+, Cd2+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Zn2+ by synthesised manganese, nickel and zinc silicates has been studied at different pH and ionic concentrations in the external solution. It has been found that the uptake of the metal ion Co2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ increases with increase in pH of the external solution, attains a maximum and then decreases. However, the uptake for Cd2+ and Ni2+ increases continuously. The qA values of all the silicates increases with the increase in the concentration of the exchanging ion and its order for the investigated metal ions is Ni2+ < Co2+ < Cd2+ < Zn2+ < Cu2+.  相似文献

A new macrocyclic chemosensor containing two naphthalene fluorophores has been synthesized. The fluorescent properties of this receptor has been studied in the presence of various metal ions such as Na+, Ag+, Cr3+, Mn2+, Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Pb2+. When increasing concentrations of Zn2+ ions were introduced, the emission of L was drastically increased (EFE = 4.34). This special change was not observed when other metal ions were used; such highly selective fluorescent response indicates that this receptor can easily discriminate Zn2+ ions from other similar species. Model calculations at DFT level further suggest the possible interaction mode, and relatively steric position between the host and guest also influence the optical response.  相似文献

In this study, an assay to quantify the presence of aluminum ions with a receptor containing naphthol and quinoline moieties was developed using a turn-on fluorescence enhancement approach. Upon treatment with aluminum ions, the fluorescence of the receptor was enhanced at 510 nm due to the formation of a complex between the ligand and aluminum ions at room temperature. As the concentration of Al3+ was increased, the fluorescence gradually increased. Other metal ions, such as K+, Ag+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Zn2+, Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Cd2+, Cr3+, Fe3+, In3+, had no significant effect on the fluorescence.  相似文献

1-Isonicotinoyl-4-benzoyl-3-thiosemicarbazide (IBtsc) and its CrIII, MnII, FeIII, CoII, NiII, CuII and ZnII complexes have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, u.v.–vis., i.r., n.m.r. and FAB mass spectral data. The room temperature e.s.r. spectra of the CrIII, FeIII and CuII complexes yield values, characteristic of octahedral, tetrahedral and square-planar complexes, respectively. The Mössbauer spectra of [Fe(IBtsc-H)Cl2] at room temperature and at 78 K suggest the presence of high-spin FeIII. The NiII, CrIII and CuII complexes show semiconducting behaviour in the solid state, but the ZnII complex is an insulator at room temperature. IBtsc and its soluble complexes have been screened against several bacteria, fungi and tumour cell lines.  相似文献
