Nuclear magnetic resonance on oriented nuclei and modulated adiabatic fast passage on oriented nuclei measurements were performed on several 4d and 5sp impurities in polycrystalline Co(fcc) foils and Co(hcp) single crystals. The hyperfine fields of Y and Zr in Co(fcc), the hyperfine fields of Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, Rh, In and Xe in Co(hcp), the electric field gradients of Zr, Nb and In in Co(hcp), and the nuclear spin-lattice relaxations of Zr, Nb, Rh and In in Co(hcp) were determined. The dependence of the hyperfine fields and electric field gradients in Co(hcp) on the angle between the magnetization and the c axis was investigated in most cases. The magnetic-field dependence of the spin-lattice relaxation was studied for Nb, Rh and In in Co(hcp), applying the magnetic field perpendicular to the c axis. The known hyperfine interaction parameters of the 4d and 5sp impurities in Co(fcc) and Co(hcp) are summarized. The new results provide a more detailed picture of the hyperfine interaction in Co.  相似文献

Nuclear magnetic resonance measurements have been performed for189Pt and191Pt oriented at 7 and 15 mk in iron host. The magnetic hyperfine splitting frequencies, ν=¦μBHF/Ih¦, of the189Pt and191Pt ground states were determined to be 277.61(5) and 319.88(3) MHz. With the hyperfine field of BHF=-1280(26) kG the nuclear magnetic moments were deduced to be: ¦μ(189Pt;3/2?)¦=0.427(9) μN; ¦μ(191Pt,3/2?) ¦=0.492(10) μN. The effective spinlattice relaxation time for191PtFe at 7 mK in a polarizing magnetic field of 2 kG has been found to be 30(2) s using a single-exponential fit.  相似文献

The hyperfine interaction of the system183Re(70d)Fe has been investigated with the NMR/ON technique. With the hyperfine field valueB hf(ReFe)=–76.0(1.5) T the ground state magnetic moment was determined as: (5/2+,183Re)=+3.12(6) N. The field dependent nuclear spin-lattice relaxation time has been measured. The result for the high-field relaxation rateR exp=1.65(5)·10–15 T 2s K–1 is explained in terms of indirect spin-wave interaction.  相似文献

Integral perturbed angular correlations of the 931-155keVγγ-cascade of188Os in Gd have been measured. With this technique the combined magnetic and electric hyperfine interaction of the 155 keV level of188Os as an impurity in a Gd host has been studied as a function of temperature. The result for the electric field gradient of Os in Gd at 300 K is: $$\left| {V_{zz} \left( {Os:\underline {Gd} } \right)} \right| = \left( {12.8_{ - 1.9}^{ + 3.1} } \right) \cdot 10^{17} {V \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {V {cm^2 }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {cm^2 }}.$$ For the magnetic hyperfine field at 4.2 K the value $$H_{hf} \left( {Os:\underline {Gd} } \right) = - 134\left( {26} \right)kG$$ was obtained. Sign and magnitude of the magnetic hyperfine field suggest the existence of a localized moment of about ?0.4 µ B at the site of Os in Gd. With increasing temperature the magnetic hyperfine field decreases much stronger than the magnetization of the host. Possible explanations for this anomalous temperature dependence are discussed.  相似文献

The hyperfine interaction of183OsFe has been studied with nuclear magnetic resonance on oriented nuclei after recoil implantation. Taking into account the resonance displacement due to quadrupole interaction |gμ N H HF/h|=149.9(2) MHz has been found. WithH HF=?1,115(20) kG theg-factor of the 9/2+ [624] ground state of183Os is deduced asg=(?)0.176(3).  相似文献

The magnetic hyperfine interaction of 60Co in the completely miscible alloy Co x Pd1−x was investigated for different values of x by measuring the nuclear orientation of 60Co as function of temperature and by nuclear magnetic resonance of the oriented 60Co nuclei. A broad resonance signal of Gaussian shape could be observed down to x=60%. The dependence of the mean magnetic hyperfine field on the Co concentration was observed to be linear very similar to that of experimental values of the magnetic moment per atom in the literature. The magnetic hyperfine field and its broad distribution are discussed in a simple model with RKKY interaction. This revised version was published online in September 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Precessions of the 2 1 + states in198Pt and192Os have been measured in the enhanced transient hyperfine magnetic field acting on these nuclei as they recoiled through thin polarized cobalt foils. Two separate targets consisting of contiguous layers of198Pt and192Os electrodeposited on ~1 μm and ~4 μm Co foils were employed. The levels of interest were Coulomb excited by 80 MeV32S and 220 MeV58Ni beams and the precessions of the 2 1 + →0 1 + γ-ray angular distributions in both nuclides were measured simultaneously. The results of these studies are compared with recently reported similar studies in which ions of188Os and194Pt recoiled through thin polarized Fe foils. It is concluded that (i) the transient field acting on Pt in Fe is singularly anomalous, and (ii) the recent contention that the g-factors of the 2 1 + states in the event Pt isotopes may be substantially lower than had been reported in the literature cannot be sustained. This transient field discontinuity is examined in terms of possible molecular orbital electron vacancy sharing between Pt and Fe.  相似文献

Relativistic projectile fragmentation of 208Pb has been used to produce isomers in neutron-rich, A 190 nuclides. A forward-focusing spectrometer provided ion-by-ion mass and charge identification. The detection of -rays emitted by stopped ions has led to the assignment of isomers in 188Ta, 190W, 192Re, 193Re, 195Os, 197Ir, 198Ir, 200Pt, 201Pt, 202Pt and 203Au, with half-lives ranging from approximately 10 ns to 1 ms. Tentative isomer information has been found also for 174Er, 175Er, 185Hf, 191Re, 194Re and 199Ir. In most cases, time-correlated, singles -ray events provided the first spectroscopic data on excited states for each nuclide. In 200Pt and 201Pt, the assignments are supported by - coincidences. Isomeric ratios provide additional information, such as half-life and transition energy constraints in particular cases. The level structures of the platinum isotopes are discussed, and comparisons are made with isomer systematics.  相似文献

A new spectrum component is observed in Mössbauer spectra of thin body centered cubic Co layers prepared in Fe/Co superlattices doped with57Co. It is characterized by a large magnetic hyperfine field (31.2 T) and an isomer shift nearly equal to that of -Fe. The decrease of the isomer shift in bcc Co with respect to hcp Co is consistent with smaller s to d charge transfer in bcc Co as compared to hcp Co. The cubic structure of the CoFe superlattices is evidenced with X-ray diffraction and ion-channeling measurements. The Fe/Co interface is investigated with conversion electron Mössbauer spectroscopy. It is shown that the interface alloy thickness is about six monolayers for growth temperatures up to 450 K and that increasing alloying occurs for higher growth temperatures.  相似文献

Absorption Mössbauer spectra were measured on low temperature (6–21 mK) oriented nuclei. For magnetic orientation this method allows the determination of the sign of the parent state magnetic moment. The method enables the determination of the parent state quadrupole coupling even for a polycrystalline sample. Signs of ground state magnetic moments for191Pt and193Os, and electric quadrupole moments for125Tem and129Te are determined.  相似文献

Perturbed gamma-gamma angular correlation (PAC) technique was used to measure the magnetic hyperfine field (B hf ) at Ce impurity in Co using 140La→ 140Ce probe. The radioactive 140La produced by neutron irradiation of lanthanum metal with thermal neutrons was introduced in Co by arc melting in argon atmosphere. The present measurements cover the temperature range from 4.2– 1300 K. Two pure magnetic interactions were observed at impurity sites, corresponding to a ferromagnetic ordering of Co moments in hcp and fcc phases. The temperature dependence of B hf for both phases, however, shows a sharp deviation from an expected standard Brillouin-like behavior for the host magnetization. The results are discussed in terms of a simple molecular-field model where the localized moment at impurity ions as well as the conduction electron contributions to the hyperfine field are taken into account.  相似文献

The excitation functions for production of 21 isotopes and isomers of Au, Pt, Ir, Os and Re in the interaction of12C with181Ta from 54 to 98 MeV incident energy have been measured by the activation technique. The analysis of these data allows one to estimate the reaction cross-section and the cross-sections for complete fusion of12C and the incomplete fusion of8Be and fragments with tantalum.  相似文献

The synthesis of materials and the studies of crystal structure and 57Fe Mössbauer effect were performed for Tb0.27Dy0.73(Fe1?x Co x )2 intermetallics. Terfenol-D (Tb0.27Dy0.73Fe2) is the starting compound of this Fe/Co-substituted series. X-ray measurements showed evidence of a pure cubic Laves phase C15, MgCu2-type, and unit cell parameters were determined across the series. A Co substitution introduced local area, at sub-nanoscale, with random Fe/Co neighbourhoods of the 57Fe atoms.Mössbauer effect spectra for the Tb0.27Dy0.73(Fe1?x Co x )2 series at room temperature are composed of a number of locally originated subspectra due to the random distribution of Fe and Co atoms in the transition metal sublattice, and due to [1 1 1] an easy axis of magnetization. Isomer shift, magnetic hyperfine field and quadrupole interaction parameter were obtained from the spectra, both for the local area and for the bulk sample.As a result of Fe/Co substitution, a Slater-Pauling-type curve for the average magnetic hyperfine field vs. Co content was observed. It was found that the magnetic hyperfine fields corresponding to the local area also create a dependence of the Slater-Pauling-type vs. Co contribution in the Fe/Co neighbourhoods.  相似文献

With nuclear orientation on 11 h32?189Pt, 2.8 d32?191Pt and 4.0 d132+ 195 mPt in Os and NMR on oriented 189Pt and 191Pt in Fe electric and magnetic hyperfine splitting frequencies were measured. The nuclear moments are deduced to be: 189Pt: |μ| = 0.434(9) μN, Q = ?0.65(26) b; 191Pt: |μ| = 0.500(10) μN, Q = ?0.64(26) b; 195mPt: Q = +1.42(60)b. The negative spectroscopic ground-state quadrupole moments of 189Pt and 191Pt must be due to oblate ground-state deformations, thus indicating that the prolate-oblate phase transition in Pt is located at A < 189.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the precession of the angular correlation of decay gamma rays from swift150Sm (2 1 + ) ions traversing a gadolinium foil has been found to be proportional to the foil magnetization, supporting the assertion that the transient hyperfine magnetic field acting on these ions is proportional to the magnetization of the hosts (iron or gadolinium). Similar experiments on194Pt (2 1 + ) ions traversing iron and gadolinium foils are consistent with both the magnetic moment obtained from Rutgers experiments on iron and with a hyperfine field at Pt ions larger for gadolinium than for iron foils, in agreement with the Chalk River parametrization for heavy nuclei traversing gadolinium foils. Finally, the magnetic moments of the 2 1 + states in144–150Nd,145,150Sm and152Gd have been measured. These data support the evidence of shell closure atZ=64 forN≤88 andZ=50 forN>90.  相似文献

Nuclear magnetic resonance on oriented nuclei has been detected for the first time via the destruction of the anisotropy of characteristic Lx-rays. The new method can be applied to isomeric states which decay only via highly converted transitions, for which the standard NMR-ON technique — detection of NMR via the anisotropy of -rays — is not applicable. The X-NMR-ON technique has been used to measure the magnetic hyperfine splitting of193mpt (I=1322+; E=149.8 keV; T1/2= 4.3 d) to be ¦ g NBHF/h¦=111.3 (3) MHz. with the known hyperfine field of –1280(27) kG the magnetic moment of193mpt is deduced to be ¦¦=0.7417(14) N. This magnetic moment differs strongly from the known magnetic moments of the 13/2+ isomeric states in Hg and Pb and195mPt.  相似文献

The magnetic and electric hyperfine interaction at111Cd impurities in Samarium has been investigated by TDPAC measurements. The quadrupole frequency is Q=20.0(2) MHz at 290 K and has a linear temperature dependence with the same slope (dlnQ/dT)290K=–7.3(2) 10–4 K–1 in the rhombohedral and the hcp phase. The pressure dependence up to 7 kbar is (dln Q/dT)=+8.7(1.4) 10–3 kbar–1. The magnetic hyperfine field of111Cd in Sm is Hhf=242(6) kG at 4.2 K. Its temperature dependence confirms the existence of 2 different magnetic phases in Sm. The crystal field parameters B 2 0 and B 4 0 have been estimated from a comparison of Hhf(T) with molecular field models. The TDPAC spectra in the magnetic phases suggest that the impurities preferentially occupy the hexagonal Sm sites.  相似文献

Measurements of on-shell ZZ production are described, using data from the DELPHI experiment at LEP in e + e - collisions at centre-of-mass energies between 183 and 209 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 665 pb-1. Results obtained in each of the final states , , , , , l + l - l + l -, and (with ) are presented. The measured production cross-sections are consistent with the Standard Model expectations.
