Let F1 (F2 respectively) denote the class of analytic functions f in the unit disk |z|<1 with f(0)=0=f(0)−1 satisfying the condition RePf(z)<3/2 (RePf(z)>−1/2 respectively) in |z|<1, where Pf(z)=1+zf(z)/f(z). For any fixed z0 in the unit disk and λ∈[0,1), we shall determine the region of variability for logf(z0) when f ranges over the class and , respectively.  相似文献

An even-order three-point boundary value problem on time scales   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We study the even-order dynamic equation (−1)nx(Δ∇)n(t)=λh(t)f(x(t)), t∈[a,c] satisfying the boundary conditions x(Δ∇)i(a)=0 and x(Δ∇)i(c)=βx(Δ∇)i(b) for 0?i?n−1. The three points a,b,c are from a time scale , where 0<β(ba)<ca for b∈(a,c), β>0, f is a positive function, and h is a nonnegative function that is allowed to vanish on some subintervals of [a,c] of the time scale.  相似文献

Let f(z) be a normalized convex (starlike) function on the unit disc D. Let , where z=(z1,z2,…,zn), z1D, , pi?1, i=2,…,n, are real numbers. In this note, we prove that Φ(f)(z)=(f(z1),f′(z1)1/p2z2,…,f′(z1)1/pnzn) is a normalized convex (starlike) mapping on Ω, where we choose the power function such that (f′(z1))1/pi|z1=0=1, i=2,…,n. Some other related results are proved.  相似文献

We study the boundary value problem (Pm,a): on (0,+∞), subject to the boundary conditions f(0)=aR, f(0)=−1 and f(+∞)=0. The problem arises in the study of similarity solutions for high frequency excitation of liquid metal systems in an antisymmetric magnetic field. We give a complete picture of solutions of (Pm,a) for the physical interesting case: m<−1 and a?0.  相似文献

An analytic function f(z) in the unit disc D is called stable if sn(f,·)/f?1/f holds for all for . Here sn stands for the nth partial sum of the Taylor expansion about the origin of f, and ? denotes the subordination of analytic functions in . We prove that (1−z)λ, λ∈[−1,1], are stable. The stability of turns out to be equivalent to a famous result of Vietoris on non-negative trigonometric sums. We discuss some generalizations of these results, and related conjectures, always with an eye on applications to positivity results for trigonometric and other polynomials.  相似文献

Let X be a metric space with metric d, c(X) denote the family of all nonempty compact subsets of X and, given F,G∈c(X), let e(F,G)=supxFinfyGd(x,y) be the Hausdorff excess of F over G. The excess variation of a multifunction , which generalizes the ordinary variation V of single-valued functions, is defined by where the supremum is taken over all partitions of the interval [a,b]. The main result of the paper is the following selection theorem: If,V+(F,[a,b])<∞,t0∈[a,b]andx0F(t0), then there exists a single-valued functionof bounded variation such thatf(t)∈F(t)for allt∈[a,b],f(t0)=x0,V(f,[a,t0))?V+(F,[a,t0))andV(f,[t0,b])?V+(F,[t0,b]). We exhibit examples showing that the conclusions in this theorem are sharp, and that it produces new selections of bounded variation as compared with [V.V. Chistyakov, Selections of bounded variation, J. Appl. Anal. 10 (1) (2004) 1-82]. In contrast to this, a multifunction F satisfying e(F(s),F(t))?C(ts) for some constant C?0 and all s,t∈[a,b] with s?t (Lipschitz continuity with respect to e(⋅,⋅)) admits a Lipschitz selection with a Lipschitz constant not exceeding C if t0=a and may have only discontinuous selections of bounded variation if a<t0?b. The same situation holds for continuous selections of when it is excess continuous in the sense that e(F(s),F(t))→0 as st−0 for all t∈(a,b] and e(F(t),F(s))→0 as st+0 for all t∈[a,b) simultaneously.  相似文献

Let B be the unit ball of with respect to an arbitrary norm. We study certain properties of Loewner chains and their transition mappings on the unit ball B. We show that any Loewner chain f(z,t) and the transition mapping v(z,s,t) associated to f(z,t) satisfy locally Lipschitz conditions in t locally uniformly with respect to zB. Moreover, we prove that a mapping fH(B) has parametric representation if and only if there exists a Loewner chain f(z,t) such that the family {etf(z,t)}t?0 is a normal family on B and f(z)=f(z,0) for zB. Also we show that univalent solutions f(z,t) of the generalized Loewner differential equation in higher dimensions are unique when {etf(z,t)}t?0 is a normal family on B. Finally we show that the set S0(B) of mappings which have parametric representation on B is compact.  相似文献

For two complex-valued harmonic functions f and F defined in the open unit disk Δ with f(0)=F(0)=0, we say f is weakly subordinate to F if f(Δ)⊂F(Δ). Furthermore, if we let E be a possibly infinite interval, a function with f(⋅,t) harmonic in Δ and f(0,t)=0 for each tE is said to be a weak subordination chain if f(Δ,t1)⊂f(Δ,t2) whenever t1,t2E and t1<t2. In this paper, we construct a weak subordination chain of convex univalent harmonic functions using a harmonic de la Vallée Poussin mean and a modified form of Pommerenke's criterion for a subordination chain of analytic functions.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of finding positive solutions of the equation −Δu+(a+a(x))u=|u|q−2u, where q is subcritical, Ω is either RN or an unbounded domain which is periodic in the first p coordinates and whose complement is contained in a cylinder , a>0, aC(RN,R) is periodic in the first p coordinates, infxRN(a+a(x))>0 and a(x,x)→0 as |x|→∞ uniformly in x. The cases a?0 and a?0 are considered and it is shown that, under appropriate assumptions on a, the problem has one solution in the first case and p+1 solutions in the second case when p?N−2.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the differential equations of the following form w2+R(z)2(w(k))=Q(z), where R(z), Q(z) are nonzero rational functions. We proved the following three conclusions: (1) If either P(z) or Q(z) is a nonconstant polynomial or k is an even integer, then the differential equation w2+P2(z)2(w(k))=Q(z) has no transcendental meromorphic solution; if P(z), Q(z) are constants and k is an odd integer, then the differential equation has only transcendental meromorphic solutions of the form f(z)=acos(bz+c). (2) If either P(z) or Q(z) is a nonconstant polynomial or k>1, then the differential equation w2+(zz0)P2(z)2(w(k))=Q(z) has no transcendental meromorphic solution, furthermore the differential equation w2+A(zz0)2(w)=B, where A, B are nonzero constants, has only transcendental meromorphic solutions of the form , where a, b are constants such that Ab2=1, a2=B. (3) If the differential equation , where P is a nonconstant polynomial and Q is a nonzero rational function, has a transcendental meromorphic solution, then k is an odd integer and Q is a polynomial. Furthermore, if k=1, then Q(z)≡C (constant) and the solution is of the form f(z)=Bcosq(z), where B is a constant such that B2=C and q(z)=±P(z).  相似文献

We shall be concerned with the existence of heteroclinic orbits for the second order Hamiltonian system , where qRn and VC1(R×Rn,R), V?0. We will assume that V and a certain subset MRn satisfy the following conditions. M is a set of isolated points and #M?2. For every sufficiently small ε>0 there exists δ>0 such that for all (t,z)∈R×Rn, if d(z,M)?ε then −V(t,z)?δ. The integrals , zM, are equi-bounded and −V(t,z)→∞, as |t|→∞, uniformly on compact subsets of Rn?M. Our result states that each point in M is joined to another point in M by a solution of our system.  相似文献

The structure of positive boundary blow-up solutions to quasi-linear elliptic problems of the form −Δpu=λf(u), u=∞ on ∂Ω, 1<p<∞, is studied in a bounded smooth domain , for a class of nonlinearities fC1((0,∞)?{z2})∩C0[0,∞) satisfying f(0)=f(z1)=f(z2)=0 with 0<z1<z2, f<0 in (0,z1)∪(z2,∞), f>0 in (z1,z2). Large, small and intermediate solutions are obtained for λ sufficiently large. It is known from Part I (see Structure of boundary blow-up solutions for quasilinear elliptic problems, part (I): large and small solutions, preprint), that the large solution is the unique large solution to the problem. We will see that the small solution is also the unique small solution to the problem while there are infinitely many intermediate solutions. Our results are new even for the case p=2.  相似文献

Let z=(z1,…,zn) and , the Laplace operator. A formal power series P(z) is said to be Hessian Nilpotent (HN) if its Hessian matrix is nilpotent. In recent developments in [M. de Bondt, A. van den Essen, A reduction of the Jacobian conjecture to the symmetric case, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 133 (8) (2005) 2201-2205. [MR2138860]; G. Zhao, Hessian nilpotent polynomials and the Jacobian conjecture, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 359 (2007) 249-274. [MR2247890]. See also math.CV/0409534], the Jacobian conjecture has been reduced to the following so-called vanishing conjecture (VC) of HN polynomials: for any homogeneous HN polynomialP(z) (of degreed=4), we haveΔmPm+1(z)=0for anym?0. In this paper, we first show that the VC holds for any homogeneous HN polynomial P(z) provided that the projective subvarieties ZP and Zσ2 of CPn−1 determined by the principal ideals generated by P(z) and , respectively, intersect only at regular points of ZP. Consequently, the Jacobian conjecture holds for the symmetric polynomial maps F=zP with P(z) HN if F has no non-zero fixed point wCn with . Secondly, we show that the VC holds for a HN formal power series P(z) if and only if, for any polynomial f(z), Δm(f(z)P(z)m)=0 when m?0.  相似文献

For a group class X, a group G is said to be a CX-group if the factor group G/CG(gG)∈X for all gG, where CG(gG) is the centralizer in G of the normal closure of g in G. For the class Ff of groups of finite order less than or equal to f, a classical result of B.H. Neumann [Groups with finite classes of conjugate elements, Proc. London Math. Soc. 1 (1951) 178-187] states that if GCFf, the commutator group G belongs to Ff for some f depending only on f. We prove that a similar result holds for the class , the class of soluble groups of derived length at most d which have Prüfer rank at most r. Namely, if , then for some r depending only on r. Moreover, if , then for some r and f depending only on r,d and f.  相似文献

Let u(t,x) be the solution of the heat equation (∂tx)u(t,x)=0 on subject to u(0,x)=f(x) on Rn. The main goal of this paper is to characterize such a nonnegative measure μ on that f(x)?u(t2,x) induces a bounded embedding from the Sobolev space , p∈[1,n) into the Lebesgue space , q∈(0,∞).  相似文献
