The present paper gives a direct proof of the following result: for any linear operator over arbitrary field there exists a basis in which it has a polyquasicyclic matrix, i.e. a generalized Jordan form of second kind. The polyquasicyclic form of a linear operator is uniquely determined up to the order of direct summands on the diagonal, and it is shown that the generalized Jordan form of second kind is a link that connects the classical Jordan form and the rational canonical form. 相似文献

This paper is devoted to the problem of generation of evolution operators associated with linear evolution equations in a general Banach space. The stability condition is proposed from the viewpoint of finite difference approximations. It is shown that linear evolution operators can be generated even if the stability condition given here is assumed instead of Kato's stability condition.

Let H and K be Hilbert spaces and for each z∈C let A(z)∈L(H,K) be a bounded but not necessarily compact linear map with A(z) analytic on a region |z|<a. If A(0) is singular we find conditions under which A−1(z) is well defined on some region 0<|z|<b by a convergent Laurent series with a finite order pole at the origin. We show that by changing to a standard Sobolev topology the method extends to closed unbounded linear operators and also that it can be used in Banach spaces where complementation of certain closed subspaces is possible. We study operator-valued measures , where L(X,Y) stands for the space of all continuous linear operators between real Banach spaces X and Y and Σ is a σ-algebra of sets. We extend the Bartle-Dunford-Schwartz theorem and the Orlicz-Pettis theorem for vector measures to the case of operator-valued measures. We generalize the classical Vitali-Hahn-Saks theorem to sets of operator-valued measures which are compact in the strong operator topology. 相似文献

an LMI amounts to a convex optimization problem, such formulations are known to be numerically tractable. However, the interest
in LMI-based design techniques has really surged with the introduction of efficient interior-point methods for solving LMIs
with a polynomial-time complexity. This paper describes one particular method called the Projective Method. Simple geometrical
arguments are used to clarify the strategy and convergence mechanism of the Projective algorithm. A complexity analysis is

The goal of testing is to determine whether an implementation linear operatorA conforms to a specification linear operatorS within a given error bound for all elements from an input setF. Suppose that an upper boundK on the norm of the difference ofS andA is given a priori. Then it is shown that in general any finite number of tests is inconclusive both in the worst case and on the average. However, the testing problem is still decidable in the limit for an arbitraryK; there is an algorithm of an infinite sequence of test-and-guess such that all but finitely many guesses are correct. On the other hand, if the error bound is relaxed for weak conformance then finite tests suffice even in the worst case and tight lower and upper bounds on the number of tests are derived. The test set is universal; it only depends on the set of valid inputsF. Furthermore, the test elements are on the boundary ofF. We presented a method to construct and calculate the reproducing kernel for the linear differential operator with constant coefficients and a single latent root; further, we gave the formula for calculation. We give a new proof that every linear fractional map of the unit ball induces a bounded composition operator on the standard scale of Hilbert function spaces on the ball, and obtain new norm bounds analogous to the standard one-variable estimates. We also show that Cowen's one-variable spectral radius formula extends to these operators. The key observation underlying these results is that every linear fractional map of the ball belongs to the Schur-Agler class. 相似文献

We aim to quantify the stability of systems of (possibly infinitely many) linear inequalities under arbitrary perturbations of the data. Our focus is on the Aubin property (also called pseudo-Lipschitz) of the solution set mapping, or, equivalently, on the metric regularity of its inverse mapping. The main goal is to determine the regularity modulus of the latter mapping exclusively in terms of the system's data. In our context, both, the right- and the left-hand side of the system are subject to possible perturbations. This fact entails notable differences with respect to previous developments in the framework of linear systems with perturbations of the right-hand side. In these previous studies, the feasible set mapping is sublinear (which is not our current case) and the well-known Radius Theorem constitutes a useful tool for determining the modulus. In our current setting we do not have an explicit expression for the radius of metric regularity, and we have to tackle the modulus directly. As an application we approach, under appropriate assumptions, the regularity modulus for a semi-infinite system associated with the Lagrangian dual of an ordinary nonlinear programming problem. 相似文献
