Given two bounded linear operators F,G on a Banach space X such that G2F=GF2=0, we derive an explicit expression for the Drazin inverse of F+G. For this purpose, firstly, we obtain a formula for the resolvent of an auxiliary operator matrix in the form . From the provided representation of D(F+G) several special cases are considered. In particular, we recover the case GF=0 studied by Hartwig et al. [R.E. Hartwig, G. Wang, Y. Wei, Some additive results on Drazin inverse, Linear Algebra Appl. 322 (2001) 207-217] for matrices and by Djordjevi? and Wei [D.S. Djordjevi?, Y. Wei, Additive results for the generalized Drazin inverse, J. Aust. Math. Soc. 73 (1) (2002) 115-126] for operators. Finally, we apply our results to obtain representations for the Drazin inverse of operator matrices in the form which are extensions of some cases given in the literature.  相似文献

Let be the algebra of bounded linear operators on a Hilbert space H. For , define the elementary operator MA,B by MA,B(X)=AXB (). We give necessary and sufficient conditions for any pair of operators A and B to satisfy the equation ‖I+MA,B‖=1+‖A‖‖B‖, where I is the identity operator on H.  相似文献

Let L(X,Y) stand for the space of all bounded linear operators between real Banach spaces X and Y, and let Σ be a σ-algebra of sets. A bounded linear operator T from the Banach space B(Σ,X) of X-valued Σ-totally measurable functions to Y is said to be σ-smooth if ‖T(fn)Y→0 whenever a sequence of scalar functions (‖fn(⋅)X) is order convergent to 0 in B(Σ). It is shown that a bounded linear operator is σ-smooth if and only if its representing measure is variationally semi-regular, i.e., as An↓∅ (here stands for the semivariation of m on AΣ). As an application, we show that the space Lσs(B(Σ,X),Y) of all σ-smooth operators from B(Σ,X) to Y provided with the strong operator topology is sequentially complete. We derive a Banach-Steinhaus type theorem for σ-smooth operators from B(Σ,X) to Y. Moreover, we characterize countable additivity of measures in terms of continuity of the corresponding operators .  相似文献

This is a continuation of our paper [2]. We prove that for functions f in the Hölder class Λα(R) and 1<p<∞, the operator f(A)−f(B) belongs to Sp/α, whenever A and B are self-adjoint operators with ABSp. We also obtain sharp estimates for the Schatten-von Neumann norms ‖f(A)−f(B)Sp/α in terms of ‖ABSp and establish similar results for other operator ideals. We also estimate Schatten-von Neumann norms of higher order differences . We prove that analogous results hold for functions on the unit circle and unitary operators and for analytic functions in the unit disk and contractions. Then we find necessary conditions on f for f(A)−f(B) to belong to Sq under the assumption that ABSp. We also obtain Schatten-von Neumann estimates for quasicommutators f(A)RRf(B), and introduce a spectral shift function and find a trace formula for operators of the form f(AK)−2f(A)+f(A+K).  相似文献

A Hilbert space operator TB(H) is hereditarily normaloid (notation: THN) if every part of T is normaloid. An operator THN is totally hereditarily normaloid (notation: TTHN) if every invertible part of T is normaloid. We prove that THN-operators with Bishop's property (β), also THN-contractions with a compact defect operator such that and non-zero isolated eigenvalues of T are normal, are not supercyclic. Take A and B in THN and let dAB denote either of the elementary operators in B(B(H)): ΔAB and δAB, where ΔAB(X)=AXBX and δAB(X)=AXXB. We prove that if non-zero isolated eigenvalues of A and B are normal and , then dAB is an isoloid operator such that the quasi-nilpotent part H0(dABλ) of dABλ equals −1(dABλ)(0) for every complex number λ which is isolated in σ(dAB). If, additionally, dAB has the single-valued extension property at all points not in the Weyl spectrum of dAB, then dAB, and the conjugate operator , satisfy Weyl's theorem.  相似文献

It is well known that a Lipschitz function on the real line does not have to be operator Lipschitz. We show that the situation changes dramatically if we pass to Hölder classes. Namely, we prove that if f belongs to the Hölder class Λα(R) with 0<α<1, then for arbitrary self-adjoint operators A and B. We prove a similar result for functions f in the Zygmund class Λ1(R): for arbitrary self-adjoint operators A and K we have . We also obtain analogs of this result for all Hölder-Zygmund classes Λα(R), α>0. Then we find a sharp estimate for ‖f(A)−f(B)‖ for functions f of class for an arbitrary modulus of continuity ω. In particular, we study moduli of continuity, for which for self-adjoint A and B, and for an arbitrary function f in Λω. We obtain similar estimates for commutators f(A)QQf(A) and quasicommutators f(A)QQf(B). Finally, we estimate the norms of finite differences for f in the class Λω,m that is defined in terms of finite differences and a modulus continuity ω of order m. We also obtain similar results for unitary operators and for contractions.  相似文献

For an open set let A(Ω) be the space of real analytic functions on Ω. Improving our previous results, we prove a new quantitative characterization of the linear partial differential operators P(D) which are surjective on A(Ω). This implies that P(D) is surjective on if P(D) is surjective on A(Ω) for some Ω≠∅. Further inheritance properties for the surjectivity of P(D) on A(Ω) are also obtained.  相似文献

Let H be a Hilbert space and let A and B be standard ∗-operator algebras on H. Denote by As and Bs the set of all self-adjoint operators in A and B, respectively. Assume that and are surjective maps such that M(AM(B)A)=M(A)BM(A) and M(BM(A)B)=M(B)AM(B) for every pair AAs, BBs. Then there exist an invertible bounded linear or conjugate-linear operator and a constant c∈{−1,1} such that M(A)=cTAT, AAs, and M(B)=cTBT, BBs.  相似文献

For 0<p,α<∞, let ‖fp,α be the Lp-norm with respect the weighted measure . We define the weighted Bergman space Aαp(D) consisting of holomorphic functions f with ‖fp,α<∞. For any σ>0, let Aσ(D) be the space consisting of holomorphic functions f in D with . If D has C2 boundary, then we have the embedding Aαp(D)⊂A−(n+α)/p(D). We show that the condition of C2-smoothness of the boundary of D is necessary by giving a counter-example of a convex domain with C1,λ-smooth boundary for 0<λ<1 which does not satisfy the embedding.  相似文献

An interesting and recently much studied generalization of the classical Schur class is the class of contractive operator-valued multipliers S(λ) for the reproducing kernel Hilbert space H(kd) on the unit ball BdCd, where kd is the positive kernel kd(λ,ζ)=1/(1−〈λ,ζ〉) on Bd. The reproducing kernel space H(KS) associated with the positive kernel KS(λ,ζ)=(IS(λ)S(ζ))⋅kd(λ,ζ) is a natural multivariable generalization of the classical de Branges-Rovnyak canonical model space. A special feature appearing in the multivariable case is that the space H(KS) in general may not be invariant under the adjoints of the multiplication operators on H(kd). We show that invariance of H(KS) under for each j=1,…,d is equivalent to the existence of a realization for S(λ) of the form S(λ)=D+C−1(Iλ1A1−?−λdAd)(λ1B1+?+λdBd) such that connecting operator has adjoint U which is isometric on a certain natural subspace (U is “weakly coisometric”) and has the additional property that the state operators A1,…,Ad pairwise commute; in this case one can take the state space to be the functional-model space H(KS) and the state operators A1,…,Ad to be given by (a de Branges-Rovnyak functional-model realization). We show that this special situation always occurs for the case of inner functions S (where the associated multiplication operator MS is a partial isometry), and that inner multipliers are characterized by the existence of such a realization such that the state operators A1,…,Ad satisfy an additional stability property.  相似文献

In this paper we give formulae for the generalized Drazin inverse Md of an anti-triangular matrix in two different ways: one is to express Md in terms of Ad with arbitrary B and C, the other is to express Md in terms of Bd and Cd with arbitrary A. Moreover, the results are applied to obtain generalized Drazin inverses of various structured matrices and some special cases are analyzed.  相似文献

We study properties of solutions of the evolution equation , where B is a closable operator on the space AP(R,H) of almost periodic functions with values in a Hilbert space H such that B commutes with translations. The operator B generates a family of closed operators on H such that (whenever eiλtxD(B)). For a closed subset ΛR, we prove that the following properties (i) and (ii) are equivalent: (i) for every function fAP(R,H) such that σ(f)⊆Λ, there exists a unique mild solution uAP(R,H) of Eq. (∗) such that σ(u)⊆Λ; (ii) is invertible for all λΛ and .  相似文献

We investigate the problem of existence and flow invariance of mild solutions to nonautonomous partial differential delay equations , t?s, us=φ, where B(t) is a family of nonlinear multivalued, α-accretive operators with D(B(t)) possibly depending on t, and the operators F(t,.) being defined—and Lipschitz continuous—possibly only on “thin” subsets of the initial history space E. The results are applied to population dynamics models. We also study the asymptotic behavior of solutions to this equation. Our analysis will be based on the evolution operator associated to the equation in the initial history space E.  相似文献

Under the standard assumptions on the variable exponent p(x) (log- and decay conditions), we give a characterization of the variable exponent Bessel potential space Bα[Lp(⋅)(Rn)] in terms of the rate of convergence of the Poisson semigroup Pt. We show that the existence of the Riesz fractional derivative Dαf in the space Lp(⋅)(Rn) is equivalent to the existence of the limit . In the pre-limiting case we show that the Bessel potential space is characterized by the condition ‖α(IPε)fp(⋅)≦Cεα.  相似文献
