A general method for the control of linear time-periodic systems employing symbolic computation of Floquet transition matrix is considered in this work. It is shown that this method is applicable to chaos control. Nonlinear chaotic systems can be driven to a desired periodic motion by designing a combination of a feedforward controller and a feedback controller. The design of the feedback controller is achieved through the symbolic computation of fundamental solution matrix of linear time-periodic systems in terms of unknown control gains. Then, the Floquet transition matrix (state transition matrix evaluated at the end of the principal period) can determine the stability of the system owing to classical techniques such as pole placement, Routh–Hurwitz criteria, etc. Thus it is possible to place the Floquet multipliers in the desired locations to determine the control gains. This method can be applied to systems without small parameters. The Duffing’s oscillator, the Rössler system and the nonautonomous parametrically forced Lorenz equations are chosen as illustrative examples to demonstrate the application.  相似文献

We give spectral and algebraic coefficient criteria (necessary and sufficient conditions) as well as sufficient algebraic coefficient conditions for the Lyapunov asymptotic stability of solutions to systems of linear deterministic or stochastic delay difference equations with continuous time under white noise coefficient perturbations for the case in which all delay ratios are rational. For stochastic systems, mean-square asymptotic stability is studied. The Lyapunov function method is used. Our criteria on algebraic coefficients and our sufficient conditions are stated in terms of matrix Lyapunov equations (for deterministic systems) and matrix Sylvester equations (for stochastic systems).  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the global exponential synchronization problem of two identical nonlinear time-delay Lur’e systems via delayed impulsive control. Some novel impulsive synchronization criteria are obtained by introducing a discontinuous Lyapunov function and by using the Lyapunov–Razumikhin technique, which are expressed in forms of linear matrix inequalities. The derived criteria reveal the effects of impulsive input delays and impulsive intervals on the stability of synchronization error systems. Then, sufficient conditions on the existence of a delayed impulsive controller are derived by employing these newly-obtained synchronization criteria. Additionally, some synchronization criteria for two identical time-delay Lur’e systems with impulsive effects are presented by using delayed continuous feedback control. The synchronization criteria via delayed continuous feedback control can deal with the case when the impulsive control strategy fails to synchronize two identical impulsive time-delay Lur’e systems. Three numerical examples are provided to illustrate the efficiency of the obtained results.  相似文献

This paper investigates the global synchronization of a class of third-order non-autonomous chaotic systems via the master–slave linear state error feedback control. A sufficient global synchronization criterion of linear matrix inequality (LMI) and several algebraic synchronization criteria for single-variable coupling are proven. These LMI and algebraic synchronization criteria are then applied to two classes of well-known third-order chaotic systems, the generalized Lorenz systems and the gyrostat systems, proving that the local synchronization criteria for the chaotic generalized Lorenz systems developed in the existing literature can actually be extended to describe global synchronization and obtaining some easily implemented synchronization criteria for the gyrostat systems.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the anticipating synchronization of a class of coupled chaotic systems through discontinuous feedback control. The stability criteria for the involved error dynamical system are obtained by means of model transformation incorporated with Lyapunov functional and linear matrix inequality. In this paper, the asymptotic stability for singular differential nonlinear systems with multiple time-varying delays is considered. The V-functional method for general singular differential delay system is investigated. The asymptotic stability criteria for singular differential nonlinear systems with multiple time-varying delays are derived based on V-functional method and some analytical techniques, which are described as matrix equations or matrix inequalities. Two classes of multidimensional phase control systems with differentiable vector periodic functions are considered, the class of continuous systems described by ordinary differential equations and the class of discrete systems described by difference equations. The number of cycle slips for angular coordinates in phase systems with differentiable nonlinearities is studied. The study is based on the direct Lyapunov method and uses periodic Lyapunov functions, extensions of the phase space of the system, and the Yakubovich-Kalman lemma. This lemma provides necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of Lyapunov functions by using the transfer matrix of the linear part of the system. As a result, for phase systems possessing global asymptotics, frequency criteria making it possible to sharpen estimates for the deviation of angular coordinates from their initial values are obtained. These criteria contain multiparameter frequency inequalities with variable parameters satisfying certain algebraic inequalities.  相似文献

The optimal feedback gain matrix derived from the maximum principle for linear time-delay systems with quadratic cost satisfies an integral equation. On the other hand, if the extended Carathéodory lemma is used to solve the same problem, the optimal feedback gains satisfy a set of partial differential equations. An algorithm for suppressing the chaotic oscillations in non-linear dynamical systems with singular Jacobian matrices is developed using a linear feedback control law based upon the Lyapunov–Krasovskii (LK) method. It appears that the LK method can serve effectively as a generalised method for the suppression of chaotic oscillations for a wide range of systems. Based on this method, the resulting conditions for undisturbed motions to be locally or globally stable are sufficient and conservative. The generalized Lorenz system and disturbed gyrostat equations are exemplified for the validation of the proposed feedback control rule.  相似文献

This paper considers an infinite-time optimal damping control problem for a class of nonlinear systems with sinusoidal disturbances. A successive approximation approach (SAA) is applied to design feedforward and feedback optimal controllers. By using the SAA, the original optimal control problem is transformed into a sequence of nonhomogeneous linear two-point boundary value (TPBV) problems. The existence and uniqueness of the optimal control law are proved. The optimal control law is derived from a Riccati equation, matrix equations and an adjoint vector sequence, which consists of accurate linear feedforward and feedback terms and a nonlinear compensation term. And the nonlinear compensation term is the limit of the adjoint vector sequence. By using a finite term of the adjoint vector sequence, we can get an approximate optimal control law. A numerical example shows that the algorithm is effective and robust with respect to sinusoidal disturbances.  相似文献

The state-space method is used to investigate the complete x- and y-relative observability of linear stationary singularly perturbed (LSSP) systems. Criteria, necessary conditions and sufficient conditions, phrased in terms of matrix ranks, are obtained for the observability; they involve the solutions of the defining equations, which are recurrent algebraic matrix equations. Duality principles are established between the LSSP observed and the control systems with coefficients of varying scales, the LSSP observed systems and LSSP control systems, and the governing equations for the observed and control systems. This paper is concerned with stochastic H_2/H_∞ control problem for Poisson jump-diffusion systems with(x, u, v)-dependent noise, which are driven by Brownian motion and Poisson random jumps. A stochastic bounded real lemma(SBRL for short) for Poisson jump-diffusion systems is firstly established, which stands out on its own as a very interesting theoretical problem. Further, sufficient and necessary conditions for the existence of a state feedback H_2/H_∞ control are given based on four coupled matrix Riccati equations. In this paper time-delay effects on the master–slave synchronization scheme are studied by a time-delay feedback control technique. Several new delay-independent and delay-dependent sufficient conditions are presented for master–slave synchronization of Lur’e systems based upon Lyapunov method and linear matrix inequalities (LMI’s) approaches. These new synchronization criteria are easily verifiable and offer some fairly adjustable real parameters, which are of important significance in the design and applications of such chaos synchronization systems, and the proposed results improve and generalize the earlier works.  相似文献

This article studies a guaranteed cost control problem for a class of time-delay chaotic systems. Attention is focused on the design of memory state feedback controllers such that the resulting closed-loop system is asymptotically stable and an adequate level of performance is also guaranteed. Using the Lyapunov method and LMI (linear matrix inequality) framework, two criteria for the existence of the controller are derived in terms of LMIs. This paper discusses stabilization and tracking control using linear matrix inequalities for a class of systems with Lipschitz nonlinearities. A nonlinear state feedback stabilization control is proposed for systems containing a more general case of Lipschitz nonlinearity. The main objective of the present study is to provide, for multi-input multi-output nonlinear systems, a tracking control approach based on nonlinear state feedback, which guarantees global asymptotic output and state tracking with zero tracking error in the steady state. Further, the tracking control is formulated for optimal disturbance rejection, using L2 gain reduction based performance criteria. The proposed methodologies are illustrated herein using two simulation examples of chaotic and unstable dynamical systems.  相似文献

Nonlinear ship control systems can be designed by exploiting system properties like passivity and dissipativeness in nonlinear system. The nonlinear ship model is written in a vectorial setting with emphasis placed on matrix properties like positiveness, symmetry and skew-symmetry. As a result of energy conservation the ship dynamics can be considered as two interconnected systems. The first system describes the dissipative motion of the rigid-body (ship) while the second system represents the forces due to potential theory generated by the ambient water particles. It is shown that for a stable ship, both subsystems are passive as well as the interconnected system. For an unstable ship, the ambient water system is input feedforward passive with shortage of passivity and therefore the ship must be stabilized by positive feedback. The structural properties of the nonlinear equations of motion are exploited in the Lyapunov analysis when designing ship control systems.  相似文献
