Three new trinuclear copper(II) complexes, [(CuL(1))(3)(micro(3)-OH)][ClO(4)](2).3 H(2)O (1), [(CuL(2))(3)(micro(3)-OH)][ClO(4)](2).H(2)O (2), and [(CuL(3))(3)(micro(3)-OH)][ClO(4)](2).7 H(2)O (3) have been synthesized from the three tridentate Schiff bases HL(1), HL(2), and HL(3) (HL(1)=6- aminomethyl-3-methyl-1-phenyl-4-azahex-2-en-1-one, HL(2)=6-aminoethyl-3-methyl-1-phenyl-4-azahex-2-en-1-one, and HL(3)=6-aminodimethyl-3-methyl-1-phenyl-4-azahex-2-en-1-one). They have been characterized by X-ray crystallography and IR and UV spectroscopy, and their magnetic properties have been investigated. All the compounds contain a partial cubane [Cu(3)O(4)] core consisting of the trinuclear unit [(CuL)(3)(micro(3)-OH)](2+), perchlorate ions, and water molecules. In each of the complexes, the copper atoms are five-coordinate with a distorted square-pyramidal geometry except complex 1, in which one of the Cu(II) of the trinuclear unit is weakly coordinated to one of the perchlorate ions. Magnetic measurements performed in SQUID MPMS-XL7 using polycrystalline samples at an applied field of 2 kOe indicate a global intramolecular ferromagnetic coupling. Magnetostructural correlations have been calculated on the basis of theoretical models without symmetry restriction. Continuous shape measurements are an appropriate tool for establishing the degree of distortion of the Cu(II) from square-planar geometry. Structural, theoretical, and experimental magnetic data indicate that the higher the degree of distortion, the greater the ferromagnetic coupling.  相似文献

Two new trinuclear hetero-metallic copper(ii)-zinc(ii) complexes [(CuL)(2)Zn(N(3))(2)] ( and ) have been synthesized using [CuL] as a so-called "metalloligand" (where H(2)L = N,N'-bis(salicylidene)-1,3-propanediamine) and structurally characterized. Complexes and have the same molecular formula but crystallize in different crystal systems (triclinic for and monoclinic for ) with space group P1[combining macron] for and P2(1)/c for . is an angular trinuclear species, in which two terminal four-coordinate square planar "metalloligand" [CuL] are coordinated to a central Zn(ii) through double phenoxido bridges. The Zn(ii) is in a six-coordinate distorted octahedral environment being bonded additionally to two mutually cis nitrogen atoms of terminal azide ions. In complex , in addition to the double phenoxido bridge, the two terminal Cu(ii) ions are linked to the central Zn(ii) via a μ(-l,l) azido bridge giving rise to a square pyramidal environment around the Cu(ii) ions and consequently the structure becomes linear. These two species can be considered as "linear-bent" isomers. EPR spectra and ESI mass spectra show that the two isomers are identical in solution. The DFT calculation reveals that the energy of is 7.06 kcal mol(-1) higher than that of . The existence of both isomers in the solid state suggests that crystal packing interactions in are more efficient and probably compensate for the difference in energy.  相似文献

New homo trinuclear Zn(II) complexes [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)](ClO(4))(2).3CHCl(3).H(2)O, 1, and [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)].ClO(4).PF(6).5CH(3)OH.H(2)O, 2, and hetero trinuclear complex [Zn(2)CuL(1)(micro-OAc)](ClO(4))(2).3CHCl(3).H(2)O,3, of optically active hexaaza triphenolic macrocycle H(3)L(1) were synthesized and crystallographically characterized. The cation [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)](+) structure of 1 and 2 closely resembles the trinuclear Zn(II) active site of P1 nuclease. The distorted tetrahedral geometry of Zn3 was successfully reproduced at Cu1 in complex 3. The complexes 2 and 3 cleave CT DNA at 37 and 50 degrees C.  相似文献

The phenoxido and alkoxido bridged neutral Zn(3) complex [Zn(3)(μ-H(2)bemp)(2)(μ(3)-emp)(2)] (1), with an angular Zn(3)(μ-OPh)(2)(μ-OEt)(2) core and capping nitrogen donors, was synthesized via simultaneous chelation-cum-bridging of the parent and hydrolysed ligands. Zinc(II) coordination triggered the solution phase imine (C=N) bond hydrolysis of H(3)bemp (2,6-bis-[(2-hydroxyethylimino)methyl]-4-methylphenol) and yielded the unexpected angular trinuclear Zn(II) complex 1, having structural similarity with the Zn(3) active site of P1 nuclease. H(3)bemp also displays a zinc(II) selective chelation-enhanced fluorescence response from strong metal ion coordination. Complexation of zinc(II) with H(3)bpmp (2,6-bis-[(3-hydroxypropylimino)methyl]-4-methylphenol), a close analogue of H(3)bemp, instead provides only mononuclear [Zn(H(2)bpmpH(N))(2)](ClO(4))(2)·2H(2)O (2·2H(2)O) (H(N) is the proton attached to an imine nitrogen atom) of two zwitterionic ligands, generated through a kind of coordination driven acid-base reaction, without showing any aggregation reaction. As the sole metal-organic precursor, both the complexes under pyrolytic conditions give ZnO nano structures of two morphologies.  相似文献

Using the tricyano precursor (Bu(4)N)[(Tp)Cr(CN)(3)] (Bu(4)N(+) = tetrabutylammonium cation; Tp = tris(pyrazolyl)hydroborate), a pentanuclear heterometallic cluster [(Tp)(2)Cr(2)(CN)(6)Cu(3)(Me(3)tacn)(3)][(Tp)Cr(CN)(3)](ClO(4))(3)·5H(2)O (1, Me(3)tacn = N,N',N'-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane), three tetranuclear heterometallic clusters [(Tp)(2)Cr(2)(CN)(6)Cu(2)(L(OEt))(2)]·2.5CH(3)CN (2, L(OEt) = [(Cp)Co(P(O)(OEt)(2))(3)], Cp = cyclopentadiene), [(Tp)(2)Cr(2)(CN)(6)Mn(2)(L(OEt))(2)]·4H(2)O (3), and [(Tp)(2)Cr(2)(CN)(6)Mn(2)(phen)(4)](ClO(4))(2) (4, phen = phenanthroline), and a one-dimensional (1D) chain polymer [(Tp)(2)Cr(2)(CN)(6)Mn(bpy)](n) (5, bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Complex 1 shows a trigonal bipyramidal geometry in which [(Tp)Cr(CN)(3)](-) units occupy the apical positions and are linked through cyanide to [Cu(Me(3)tacn)](2+) units situated in the equatorial plane. Complexes 2-4 show similar square structures, where Cr(III) and M(II) (M = Cu(II) or Mn(II)) ions are alternatively located on the rectangle corners. Complex 5 consists of a 4,2-ribbon-like bimetallic chain. Ferromagnetic interactions between Cr(III) and Cu(II) ions bridged by cyanides are observed in complexes 1 and 2. Antiferromagnetic interactions are presented between Cr(III) and Mn(II) ions bridged by cyanides in complexes 3-5. Complex 5 shows metamagnetic behavior with a critical field of about 22.5 kOe at 1.8 K.  相似文献

The reaction of manganese(II) salts with organophosphonic acid [t-BuPO(3)H(2) or cyclopentyl phosphonic acid (C(5)H(9)PO(3)H(2))] in the presence of ancillary nitrogen ligands [1,10-phenanthroline (phen) or 2,6-bis(pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine (dpzpy)], afforded, depending on the stoichiometry of the reactants and the reaction conditions, dinuclear, trinuclear, and tetranuclear compounds, [Mn(2)(t-BuPO(3)H)(4)(phen)(2)]·2DMF (1), [Mn(3)(C(5)H(9)PO(3))(2)(phen)(6)](ClO(4))(2)·7CH(3)OH (2), [Mn(3)(t-BuPO(3))(2)(dpzpy)(3)](ClO(4))(2)·H(2)O (3), [Mn(4)(t-BuPO(3))(2)(t-BuPO(3)H)(2)(phen)(6)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (4), and [Mn(4)(C(5)H(9)PO(3))(2)(phen)(8)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(4) (5). Magnetic studies on 1, 2, and 4 reveal that the phosphonate bridges mediate weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the Mn(II) ions have also been carried out.  相似文献

Three new supramolecular entities of Cu(II) were synthesized and characterized: [(Cu(H(2)O)(tmen))(2)(mu-Cu(H(2)O)(opba))](2)[(ClO(4))(2)](2).2H(2)O (1), [(Cu(H(2)O)(tmen))(2) (mu-Cu(H(2)O) (Me(2)pba))](2)[(ClO(4))(2)](2) (2), and [(Cu(H(2)O)(tmen))(Cu(tmen))(mu-Cu(OHpba))](n)() ((ClO(4))(2))(n)().nH(2)O (3), where opba = o-phenylenbis(oxamato), Me(2)pba = 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propylenbis(oxamato), OHpba = 2-hydroxy-1,3-propylenbis(oxamato), and tmen = N,N,N'N'-tetramethylethylenediamine. The crystal structures of 1, 2, and 3 were solved. Complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c with a = 20.572(4) A, b = 17.279(6) A, c = 22.023(19) A, beta = 103.13(4) degrees, and Z = 8. Complex 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c, with a = 16.7555(7) A, b = 13.5173(5) A, c = 17.1240(7) A, beta = 104.9840(10) degrees, and Z = 4. Complex 3 crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group Pca2(1) with a = 21.2859(4) A, b = 12.8286(10) A, c = 12.6456(2) A, and Z = 4. The three complexes are very similar in structure: a trinuclear Cu(II) complex with the two terminal Cu(II) ions blocked by N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine, but with a different environment in the Cu(II) central ion. In the case of complex 1, two of these trinuclear entities are packed with a short distance between the central Cu(II) ions of two separate entities forming a hexanuclear-type compound. In the case of 2, two of these trinuclear entities are linked by a hydrogen bond between a water molecule of one terminal Cu(II) and one oxygen atom of the oxamato ligand of the neighboring entity, also forming a hexanuclear complex. In the case of complex 3, the intermolecular linkages give a one-dimensional system where the OH groups of the OHpba entities are linked to the terminal Cu(II) of the neighboring entities. The magnetic properties of the three complexes were studied by susceptibility measurements vs temperature. For complex 1, an intramolecular J value of -312.1 cm(-)(1) and a contact dipolar interaction of -0.44K were found. For complex 2 and 3 the fit was made by the irreducible tensor operator formalism (ITO). The values obtained were as follows: J(1) = -333.9 cm(-)(1) and J(2) = 0.67 cm(-)(1) for 2 and J(1) = -335.9 cm(-)(1) and J(2) = 3.5 cm(-)(1) for 3.  相似文献

The reaction of the neutral binuclear complexes [(R(F))(2)Pt(μ-PPh(2))(2)M(phen)] (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, R(F) = C(6)F(5); M = Pt, 1; M = Pd, 2) with AgClO(4) or [Ag(OClO(3))(PPh(3))] affords the trinuclear complexes [AgPt(2)(μ-PPh(2))(2)(R(F))(2)(phen)(OClO(3))] (7a) or [AgPtM(μ-PPh(2))(2)(R(F))(2)(phen)(PPh(3))][ClO(4)] (M = Pt, 8; M = Pd, 9), which display an "open-book" type structure and two (7a) or one (8, 9) Pt-Ag bonds. The neutral diphosphine complexes [(R(F))(2)Pt(μ-PPh(2))(2)M(P-P)] (P-P = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)methane, dppm, M = Pt, 3; M = Pd, 4; P-P = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane, dppe, M = Pt, 5; M = Pd, 6) react with AgClO(4) or [Ag(OClO(3))(PPh(3))], and the nature of the resulting complexes is dependent on both M and the diphosphine. The dppm Pt-Pt complex 3 reacts with [Ag(OClO(3))(PPh(3))], affording a silver adduct 10 in which the Ag atom interacts with the Pt atoms, while the dppm Pt-Pd complex 4 reacts with [Ag(OClO(3))(PPh(3))], forming a 1:1 mixture of [AgPdPt(μ-PPh(2))(2)(R(F))(2)(OClO(3))(dppm)] (11), in which the silver atom is connected to the Pt-Pd moiety through Pd-(μ-PPh(2))-Ag and Ag-P(k(1)-dppm) interactions, and [AgPdPt(μ-PPh(2))(2)(R(F))(2)(OClO(3))(PPh(3))(2)][ClO(4)] (12). The reaction of complex 4 with AgClO(4) gives the trinuclear derivative 11 as the only product. Complex 11 shows a dynamic process in solution in which the silver atom interacts alternatively with both Pd-μPPh(2) bonds. When P-P is dppe, both complexes 5 and 6 react with AgClO(4) or [Ag(OClO(3))(PPh(3))], forming the saturated complexes [(PPh(2)C(6)F(5))(R(F))Pt(μ-PPh(2))(μ-OH)M(dppe)][ClO(4)] (M = Pt, 13; Pd, 14), which are the result of an oxidation followed by a PPh(2)/C(6)F(5) reductive coupling. Finally, the oxidation of trinuclear derivatives [(R(F))(2)Pt(II)(μ-PPh(2))(2)Pt(II)(μ-PPh(2))(2)Pt(II)L(2)] (L(2) = phen, 15; L = PPh(3), 16) by AgClO(4) results in the formation of the unsaturated 46 VEC complexes [(R(F))(2)Pt(III)(μ-PPh(2))(2)Pt(III)(μ-PPh(2))(2)Pt(II)L(2)][ClO(4)](2) (17 and 18, respectively) which display Pt(III)-Pt(III) bonds.  相似文献

Deprotonation of the tridentate isoindoline ligand 1,3-bis[2-(4-methylpyridyl)imino]-isoindoline, 4'-MeLH, and reaction with hydrated zinc(II) perchlorate produces an unexpected trinuclear Zn(II) complex, [Zn(3)(4'-MeL)(4)](ClO(4))(2).5H(2)O (1), whereas reaction with hydrated copper(II) perchlorate in methanol produces the expected mononuclear product, [Cu(4'-MeL)(H(2)O)(2)]ClO(4) (2). X-ray diffraction shows that the trinuclear Zn(II) complex (1) contains a linear zinc backbone, and the arrangement of ligands about the outer chiral zinc(II) atoms is helical. The two terminal zinc ions exhibit approximate C(2) site symmetry, with tetrahedral coordination by two pyrrole and two pyridyl nitrogen atoms of the potentially tridentate isoindoline ligands. The central zinc ion exhibits approximate tetrahedral symmetry, with coordination by four pyridyl nitrogen atoms of four different isoindoline ligands. Pyridyl-pyrrole intramolecular pi-stacking interactions contribute to the stability of the trinuclear cation. The structure of the mononuclear copper(II) complex cation in 2 is best described as a distorted trigonal bipyramid. The isoindoline anion binds Cu(II) in both axial positions and one of the equatorial positions; water molecules occupy the other two equatorial positions.  相似文献

Four new binuclear Mn(III) complexes with carboxylate bridges have been synthesized: [[Mn(nn)(H(2)O)](2)(mu-ClCH(2)COO)(2)(mu-O)](ClO(4))(2) with nn = bpy (1) or phen (2) and [[Mn(bpy)(H(2)O)](2)(mu-RCOO)(2)(mu-O)](NO(3))(2) with RCOO = ClCH(2)COO (3) or CH(3)COO (4). The characterization by X-ray diffraction (1 and 3) and X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) (1-4) displays the relevance of this spectroscopy to the elucidation of the structural environment of the manganese ions in this kind of compound. Magnetic susceptibility data show an antiferromagnetic coupling for all the compounds: J = -2.89 cm(-1) (for 1), -8.16 cm(-1) (for 2), -0.68 cm(-1) (for 3), and -2.34 cm(-1) (for 4). Compounds 1 and 3 have the same cation complex [[Mn(bpy)(H(2)O)](2)(mu-ClCH(2)COO)(2)(mu-O)](2+), but, while 1 shows an antiferromagnetic coupling, for 3 the magnetic interaction between Mn(III) ions is very weak. The four compounds show catalase activity, and when the reaction stopped, Mn(II) compounds with different nuclearity could be obtained: binuclear [[Mn(phen)(2)](mu-ClCH(2)COO)(2)](ClO(4))(2), trinuclear [Mn(3)(bpy)(2)(mu-ClCH(2)COO)(6)], or mononuclear complexes without carboxylate. Two Mn(II) compounds without carboxylate have been characterized by X-ray diffraction: [Mn(NO(3))(2)(bpy)(2)][Mn(NO(3))(bpy)(2)(H(2)O)]NO(3) (5) and [Mn(bpy)(3)](ClO(4))(2).0.5 C(6)H(4)-1,2-(COOEt)(2).0.5H(2)O (8).  相似文献

The reactions of manganese(II) acetate or perchlorate, sodium azide or sodium cyanate, and the zwitterionic dicarboxylate ligand 1,4-bis(4-carboxylatopyridinium-1-methylene)benzene (L) under different conditions yielded three different Mn(II) coordination polymers with mixed carboxylate and azide (or cyanate) bridges: {[Mn (L(1))(0.5)(N(3))(OAc)]·3H(2)O}(n) (1), {[Mn(4)(L(1))(N(3))(8)(H(2)O)(4)(CH(3)OH)(2)]·[L(1)]}(n) (2), and {[Mn(3)(L(1))(NCO)(6)(H(2)O)(4)]·[L(1)]·[H(2)O](2)}(n) (3). The compounds exhibit diverse structures and magnetic properties. In 1, the 1D uniform anionic [Mn(N(3))(COO)(2)](n) chains with the (μ-EO-N(3))(μ-COO)(2) triple bridges (EO = end-on) are interlinked by the dipyridinium L ligands into highly undulated 2D layers. Magnetic studies on 1 reveal that the mixed triple bridges induce antiferromagnetic coupling between Mn(II) ions. Compounds 2 and 3 consist of 1D neutral polymeric chains and co-crystallized zwitterions, and the chains are formed by the L ligands interlinking linear polynuclear units. The polynuclear unit in 2 is tetranuclear with (μ-EO-N(3))(2) as central bridges and (μ-EO-N(3))(2)(μ-COO) as peripheral bridges, while that in 3 is trinuclear with (μ-NCO)(2)(μ-COO) bridges. Magnetic studies demonstrate that the magnetic coupling through the mixed azide/isocyanate and carboxylate bridges in 2 and 3 is antiferromagnetic. An expression of magnetic susceptibility based on a 2-J model for linear tetranuclear systems of classical spins has been deduced and applied to 2.  相似文献

Two heptacoordinated Mn(II) complexes are isolated and X-ray characterized using the well-known tpen ligand (tpen = N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,2-ethanediamine): [(tpen)Mn(OH(2))](ClO(4))(2) (1(ClO(4))(2)) and [(tpen)Mn(micro-OAc)Mn(tpen)](ClO(4))(3).2H(2)O (2(ClO(4))(3).2H(2)O). Crystallographic data for 1(ClO(4))(2) at 110(2) K (respectively at 293(2) K): monoclinic, space group C2/c, a = 15.049(3) A (15.096(3) A), b = 9.932(2) A (10.105(2) A), c = 19.246(4) A (19.443(4) A), beta = 94.21(3) degrees (94.50(3) degrees ), Z = 4. Crystallographic data for 2(ClO(4))(3).0.5(C(2)H(5))(2)O at 123(2) K: triclinic, space group P, a = 12.707(3) A, b = 12.824(3) A, c = 19.052(4) A, alpha = 102.71(3) degrees, beta = 97.83(3) degrees, gamma = 98.15(3) degrees, Z = 2. Investigation of the variation upon temperature of the molar magnetic susceptibility of compound 2(ClO(4))(3).2H(2)O reveals a weak antiferromagnetic exchange interaction between the two high-spin Mn(II) ions (J = -0.65 +/- 0.05 cm(-)(1), H = -JS(1).S(2)). EPR spectra are recorded on powder samples and on frozen acetonitrile solutions, demonstrating the maintenance upon dissolution of the heptacoordination of Mn in complex 1 while complex 2 partially dissociates. Electrochemical responses of complexes 1 and 2 are investigated in acetonitrile, and bulk electrolyses are performed at oxidative potential in the presence of various amounts of 2,6-lutidine (0-2.65 equiv per Mn ion). The formation from either 1 or 2 of the mixed-valent complex [(tpen)Mn(III)(micro-O)(2)Mn(IV)(tpen)](3+) (3) is established from mass spectrometry and EPR and IR spectroscopy measurements. When reaction is started from 2, formation of [(tpen)Mn(IV)(micro-O)(2)(micro-OAc)Mn(IV)](3+) (4) is evidenced from cyclic voltammetry, EPR, and UV-vis data. The Mn vs tpen ratio in the electrogenerated complexes is accurately controlled by the quantity of additional 2,6-lutidine. The role of tpen as a base is discussed.  相似文献

In methanol, the reaction of Mn(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O and 1,2-bis(biacetylmonoximeimino)ethane (H(2)bamen) in the presence of triethylamine affords a trinuclear complex having the formula [Mn(3)(mu(3)-O)(mu(3)-bamen)(3)]ClO(4).2H(2)O. The structure of this complex shows a symmetric planar central [Mn(III)(3)(mu(3)-O)] unit coordinated to three hexadentate bridging (via oximate groups) ligands. The N(4)O(3) coordination sphere around each metal center is very close to pentagonal-bipyramidal. A cyclic voltammogram of the complex displays two reversible and an irreversible response due to Mn(III)(3) --> Mn(III)(2)Mn(IV), Mn(III)(2)Mn(IV) --> Mn(III)Mn(IV)(2), and Mn(III)Mn(IV)(2) --> Mn(IV)(3) oxidation processes, respectively. Cryomagnetic data reveal that the complex is ferromagnetic.  相似文献

Three manganese(II) complexes, namely [Mn(1)(ClO(4))(2)] (3), [Mn(1)(acac)(2)] (4), and [Mn(2)(1)(acac)(4)] (5), were isolated from solutions of Mn(ClO(4))(2) or Mn(acac)(2), and an easily accessible diimine ligand (1S,2S)-N,N'-bis-pyridin-2-ylmethylene-cyclohexane-1,2-diamine (1). Their structure was determined by X-ray crystallography, and these complexes proved to be catalysts for asymmetric sulfide oxidation by H(2)O(2). Enantiomeric excesses ranging from 5% to 62% were obtained with a variety of aryl alkyl sulfides. We also observed an interesting "chirality switch" effect by the achiral acac anion reversing the enantioselectivity of the complex [Mn(1)(ClO(4))(2)] from the S to the R sulfoxide enantiomer.  相似文献

Eight oxamato-bridged heterotrinuclear Ni(II)Cu(II)Ni(II) complexes of formula ([Ni(H(2)O)(dpt)](2)(mu-Cu(H(2)O)(opba)))(ClO(4))2 (1), ([Ni(H(2)O)(dien)](2)(mu-Cu(pba)))(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O (2), ([Ni(H(2)O)(Medpt)](2)(mu-Cu(OHpba)))(ClO(4))(2).4H(2)O (3), ([Ni(H(2)O)(dien)](2)(mu-Cu(Me(2)pba)))(ClO(4))(2).2.5H(2)O (4), ([Ni(H(2)O)(dpt)](2)(mu-Cu(Me(2)pba)))(ClO(4))(2).2H(2)O (5), ([Ni(H(2)O)(dien)](2)(mu-Cu(OHpba)))(ClO(4))(2).4H(2)O (6), ([Ni(2)(dpt)(2)(mu-Cu(H(2)O)(pba))](2)(mu-N(3))(2))Na(2)(ClO(4))(4).6H(2)O (7), and ([Cu(H(2)O)(2)(dpt)Ni(2)(H(2)O)(dpt)(2)](mu-H(2)Me(2)pba(2-)))(ClO(4))(4).3H(2)O (8) in which opba = o-phenylenbis(oxamato), pba = 1,3-propylenebis(oxamato), OHpba = 2-hydroxy-1,3-propylenebis(oxamato), Me(2)pba = 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propylenbis(oxamato), dpt = 3,3'-diaminodipropylamine, dien = 2,2'-diaminodiethylamine, and Medpt = 3,3'-diamino-N-methyldipropylamine were synthesized and characterized. The crystal structures of 1, 7, and 8 were solved. For complex 1, the trinuclear entities are linked by hydrogen bonds forming a one-dimensional system, and for complex 8, the presence of van der Waals interactions gives a one-dimensional system, too. For complex 7, the trinuclear entities are self-assembled by azido ligands, given a hexanuclear system; each of these hexanuclear entities are self-assembled through two [Na(O)(3)(H(2)O)(3)] octahedral-sharing one-edge entities, given a one-dimensional system. The magnetic behavior of complexes 2-7 was investigated by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements. Complexes 2-6 exhibit the minimum characteristic of this kind of polymetallic species with an irregular spin state structure. The Jvalue through the oxamato bridge varied between -88 cm(-1) (for 6) and -111.2 cm(-1) (for 5). For complex 7, the values obtained were J(1) = -101.7 cm(-1) (through the oxamato ligand) and J(2) = -3.2 cm(-1) (through the azido ligand).  相似文献

Triazacyclononane (TACN) was coupled to glycine (L(Gly)), alanine (L(Ala)), and phenylalanine (L(Phe)) via standard solution phase peptide coupling techniques. Copper(II) complexes of these new ligand-amino acid conjugates, [(CuL(Gly))(2)](ClO(4))(4) (1), [(CuL(Ala))(2)Cl](ClO(4))(3) (2), and [Cu(2)L(Phe)Cl(4)] (3), were synthesized and characterized. The X-ray crystal structures of 2 and 3 were determined. Complex 2 is a dimeric species where L(Ala) bridges between copper ions via its two TACN amine nitrogen atoms to one copper while the Ala terminal amine and carbonyl oxygen bind to the other copper. Complex 3 is bimetallic but only contains one L(Phe) ligand that bridges between the copper ions.  相似文献

The ditopic ligand PyPzOAPz (N-[(Z)-amino(pyrazin-2-yl)methylidene]-5-methyl-1-(pyridin-2-yl)-1H-pyrazole-3-carbohydrazonic acid) was synthesized by in situ condensation of methyl imino pyrazine-2-carboxylate with 5-methyl-1-(2-pyridyl) pyrazole-3-carbohydrazide. In this work we have also used two of our earlier ligands PzCAP (5-methyl-N-[(1E)-1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene]-1H-pyrazole-3-carbohydrazonic acid) (Dalton Trans., 2009, 8215) and PzOAP (N-[(Z)-amino(pyridin-2-yl)methylidene]-5-methyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carbohydrazonic acid) (Dalton Trans., 2007, 1229). These ligands PzCAP, PzOAP and PyPzOAPz were made to react with Mn(ClO(4))(2)·6H(2)O to produce three pentanuclear Mn(II) clusters [Mn(5)(PzCAP)(6)](ClO(4))(4) (1), [Mn(5)(PzOAP)(6)](ClO(4))(4) (2) and [Mn(5)(PyPzOAPz)(6)](ClO(4))(4) (3). These complexes have been characterized by X-ray structural analyses and variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements. All complexes have a pentanuclear core with trigonal bipyramidal arrangement of Mn(II) atoms, where, the axial metal centers have a N(3)O(3) chromophore and the equatorial centers have N(4)O(2) with an octahedral arrangement. These Mn(5)(II) clusters 1, 2 and 3 show the presence of antiferromagnetic coupling within the pentanuclear manganese(II) core (J = -2.95, -3.19 and -3.00 cm(-1) respectively). Density functional theory calculations and continuous shape measurement (CShM) studies have been performed on these complexes to provide a qualitative theoretical interpretation of the antiferromagnetic behaviour shown by them. The pentanuclear Mn(II) cluster (1) on reaction with Cu(NO(3))(2)·6H(2)O in 1:1 mole proportion in CH(3)OH:H(2)O (60?:?40) forms a homoleptic [2 × 2] tetranuclear Cu(4)(II) grid [Cu(4)(PzCAP)(4)(NO(3))(2)](NO(3))(2)·8H(2)O (4). The same Cu(4)(II) grid is also obtained from a direct reaction between the ditopic ligand PzCAP with Cu(NO(3))(2)·6H(2)O in 1:1 mole proportion. This conversion of a cluster to a grid is a novel observation.  相似文献

In the presence of ammonia, the reactions of cyanamide and Cu(II) ions with different organic blocking ligands afford three hydrogencyanamido bridged dinuclear complexes: [(dmbpy)(4)Cu(2)(HNCN)](ClO(4))(3)·H(2)O (1, dmbpy = 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine), [(phen)(4)Cu(2)(HNCN)](ClO(4))(3)·2H(2)O (2, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) and [(bpy)(2)Cu(2)(HNCN)(2)(ClO(4))(2)] (3, bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine), respectively. However, using the di(2-pyridyl)ketone (dpk) ligand in similar experimental conditions, an interesting reaction between the hydrogencyanamido anion and dpk is observed. Using Cu(ClO(4))·6H(2)O or Co(ClO(4))·6H(2)O as the metal source, it gives the mixed bridged hexanuclear complex [(dpk·OMe)(4)(dpk·NCN)(2)Cu(6)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(4) (4), or the mononuclear complex [(dpk·OMe)(dpk·HNCN)Co](ClO(4))·2H(2)O (5), respectively. Their structures are characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Magnetic measurements reveal moderate antiferromagnetic interaction between the Cu(II) ions in complex 1, weak ferromagnetic coupling in complex 2, and strong antiferromagnetic interactions for complexes 3 and 4. The magnetostructural correlations of these complexes are discussed.  相似文献

The syntheses, crystal structures, and magnetochemical characterization are reported for the new mixed-valent Mn clusters [Mn(2)(II)Mn(III)(O(2)CMe)(2)(edteH(2))(2)](ClO(4)) (1), [Mn(II)(2)Mn(III)(2)(edteH(2))(2)(hmp)(2)Cl(2)](Mn(II)Cl(4)) (2), [Mn(III)(6)O(2)(O(2)CBu(t))(6)(edteH)(2)(N(3))(2)] (3), [Na(2)Mn(III)(8)Mn(II)(2)O(4)(OMe)(2)(O(2)CEt)(6)(edte)(2)(N(3))(6)] (4), and (NEt(4))(2)[Mn(8)(III)Mn(2)(II)O(4)(OH)(2)-(O(2)CEt)(6)(edte)(2)(N(3))(6)](5), where edteH(4) is N,N,N',N'-tetrakis-(2-hydroxyethyl)ethylenediamine and hmpH is 2-(hydroxymethyl)pyridine. 1-5 resulted from a systematic exploration of the effect of different Mn sources, carboxylates, the presence of azide, and other conditions, on the Mn/edteH(4) reaction system. The core of 1 consists of a linear Mn(II)Mn(III)Mn(II) unit, whereas that of 2 is a planar Mn(4) rhombus within a [Mn(II)(2)Mn(III)(2)(μ(3)-OR)(2)] incomplete-dicubane unit. The core of 3 comprises a central [Mn(III)(4)(OR)(2)] incomplete-dicubane on either side of which is edge-fused a triangular [Mn(III)(3)(μ(3)-O)] unit. The cores of 4 and 5 are similar and consist of a central [Mn(II)(2)Mn(III)(2)(μ(3)-OR)(2)] incomplete-dicubane on either side of which is edge-fused a distorted [Mn(II)Mn(III)(3)(μ(3)-O)(2)(μ(3)-OR)(2)] cubane unit. Variable-temperature, solid-state direct current (dc) and alternating current (ac) magnetization studies were carried out on 1-5 in the 5.0-300 K range, and they established the complexes to have ground state spin values of S = 3 for 1, S = 9 for 2, and S = 4 for 3. The study of 3 provided an interesting caveat of potential pitfalls from particularly low-lying excited states. For 4 and 5, the ground state is in the S = 0-4 range, but its identification is precluded by a high density of low-lying excited states.  相似文献
